Description

Hydraulic Valve Device

[0001] The present invention relates to a hydraulic valve device that controls the supply of oil from a hydraulic pump to a plurality of hydraulic devices.

[0002] Hydraulic valve devices in which a plurality of spools are provided in a valve body have already been provided (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0003] Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2020-133692

[0004] Although the hydraulic valve device described above makes it possible to control multiple hydraulic devices, its large external dimensions make it important to consider how to make it smaller when taking into account the installation space.

[0005] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of the above circumstances, an object of the present invention is to provide a hydraulic valve device that can be made smaller in size.

[0006] In order to achieve the above object, the hydraulic valve device according to the present invention is a hydraulic valve device that is interposed between a hydraulic pump and a plurality of hydraulic devices, and controls the supply of oil from the hydraulic pump to the plurality of hydraulic devices by operating a plurality of spools provided in a valve body, wherein the valve body is provided with two in-out independent spools that independently control meter-in and meter-out for a first hydraulic device, and an in-out integrated spool that simultaneously controls meter-in and meter-out for a second hydraulic device, arranged in parallel to each other, and wherein the valve body is provided with a pump oil supply port connected to the hydraulic pump on one axial side of the in-out integrated spool, and a first actuator port and a second actuator port connected to the second hydraulic device are arranged side by side on the other axial side.

[0007] According to the present invention, the first hydraulic device is provided with an independent in-out spool, which enables the supply of a relatively large amount of oil to be controlled without increasing the axial dimension or pressure loss compared to an in-out integrated spool. Meanwhile, the second hydraulic device, which does not require a relatively large amount of oil, is provided with an in-out integrated spool in the valve body, which prevents the overall dimension from increasing. Furthermore, the valve body is provided with a pump oil supply port on one axial side of the in-out integrated spool, and the first and second actuator ports are arranged side by side on the other axial side. Therefore, it is only necessary to provide a bridge oil passage on the other axial side of the pump oil supply port, thereby enabling the axial dimension to be reduced.

[0009] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS A preferred embodiment of a hydraulic valve device according to the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0010] 1 and 2 show a hydraulic drive circuit incorporating a hydraulic valve device according to an embodiment of the present invention. The illustrated hydraulic drive circuit uses oil discharged from a hydraulic pump 1 to drive a hydraulic cylinder (first hydraulic device) 10 and a hydraulic motor (second hydraulic device) 20. The hydraulic pump 1 is a variable displacement type whose displacement volume changes by changing the tilt angle of the swash plate or inclined axis. The hydraulic cylinder 10 is a double-acting type in which an actuating rod 12 reciprocates relative to a cylinder body 11 by selectively supplying oil to a rod chamber 11a and a bottom chamber 11b. This type of hydraulic cylinder 10 can be used, for example, as at least one of a boom hydraulic cylinder, an arm hydraulic cylinder, and a bucket hydraulic cylinder provided in a work machine. The hydraulic motor 20 has two supply ports 21 and 22, and by changing the oil supply direction, an output shaft (not shown) can be rotated forward and backward. This type of hydraulic motor 20 can be used, for example, as at least one of a hydraulic motor for swinging and a hydraulic motor for traveling provided on a work machine.

[0011] A hydraulic valve device 30 is provided between the hydraulic pump 1 and the hydraulic cylinder 10 and hydraulic motor 20. The hydraulic valve device 30 includes a cylinder direction switching valve 50 that selectively connects the hydraulic pump 1 to the rod chamber 11a and the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10, and a motor direction switching valve 60 that selectively connects the hydraulic pump 1 to the two supply ports 21 and 22 of the hydraulic motor 20. The hydraulic valve device 30 is provided with three spools 51, 52, and 61 in a valve body 31. The valve body 31 is a single block having parallel side surfaces 31a and 31b. The three spools 51, 52, and 61 are each cylindrical with multiple lands divided by annular grooves, and are disposed in spool holes 32, 33, and 34 of the valve body 31 so that their axes are parallel to each other in a direction perpendicular to the side surfaces 31a and 31b and are individually movable along their axes. The spool holes 32, 33, and 34 are configured so that their axial length is shorter than the axial length of the spools 51, 52, and 61, and open to both side surfaces 31a and 31b of the valve body 31.

[0012] In the illustrated example, two spools (hereinafter referred to as cylinder spools (independent in-out spools) 51, 52 when distinguished) that constitute the cylinder direction switching valve 50 are provided in the upper part of the valve body 31, and only one spool (hereinafter referred to as motor spool (integrated in-out spool) 61 when distinguished) that constitutes the motor direction switching valve 60 is provided in the lower part of the valve body 31. The two cylinder spools 51, 52 have the same diameter, which is set to be larger than the diameter of the motor spool 61. The two cylinder spools 51, 52 have the same length dimension along the axial direction, and the cylinder spools 51, 52 and the motor spool 61 have approximately the same length dimension along the axial direction. The upper cylinder spool (hereinafter referred to as the first cylinder spool 51 when distinguishing between them) is used to control the supply of oil to the rod chamber 11a of the hydraulic cylinder 10, and the lower cylinder spool (hereinafter referred to as the second cylinder spool 52 when distinguishing between them) is used to control the supply of oil to the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10.

[0013] The spool hole 32 of the valve body 31 that houses the first cylinder spool 51 is provided with a first pump oil supply port 32a, a first cylinder meter in-port 32b, a first cylinder meter-out port 32c, and an upper tank port 32d, in this order from the end located on the right side in the drawing. When the first cylinder spool 51 moves along the axial direction, the connection states of the first pump oil supply port 32a and the upper tank port 32d to the first cylinder meter in-port 32b and first cylinder meter-out port 32c are switched.

[0014] More specifically, when the first cylinder spool 51 is positioned in the neutral position, both the first cylinder meter in-port 32b and the first cylinder meter-out port 32c are blocked. When the first cylinder spool 51 moves from the neutral position to the right in the figure, the first cylinder meter in-port 32b and the first pump oil supply port 32a are connected, while the first cylinder meter-out port 32c remains blocked. When the first cylinder spool 51 moves from the neutral position to the left in the figure, the first cylinder meter in-port 32b remains blocked, while the first cylinder meter-out port 32c and the upper tank port 32d are connected.

[0015] Similarly, the spool hole 33 of the valve body 31 that houses the second cylinder spool 52 is provided with a second pump oil supply port 33a, a second cylinder meter in-port 33b, a second cylinder meter-out port 33c, and a lower tank port 33d, in that order from the end located on the right side in the figure. When the second cylinder spool 52 moves along the axial direction, the connection states of the second pump oil supply port 33a and the lower tank port 33d to the second cylinder meter in-port 33b and second cylinder meter-out port 33c are switched.

[0016] More specifically, when the second cylinder spool 52 is positioned in the neutral position, both the second cylinder meter in-port 33b and the second cylinder meter-out port 33c are blocked. When the second cylinder spool 52 moves from the neutral position to the right in the figure, the second cylinder meter in-port 33b remains blocked, while the second cylinder meter-out port 33c and the lower tank port 33d are connected. When the second cylinder spool 52 moves from the neutral position to the left in the figure, the second cylinder meter in-port 33b and the second pump oil supply port 33a are connected, while the second cylinder meter-out port 33c remains blocked.

[0017] The spool hole 34 of the valve body 31 that houses the motor spool 61 is provided with, in order from the end located on the right side in the figure, a first motor pump oil supply port 34a, a bridge upstream port 34b, a second motor pump oil supply port 34c, a first tank port 34d, a first actuator port 34e, a bridge downstream port 34f, a second actuator port 34g, and a second tank port 34h. When the motor spool 61 moves along the axial direction, the connection state of the first motor pump oil supply port 34a and the second motor pump oil supply port 34c to the bridge upstream port 34b is switched, and the connection state of the bridge downstream port 34f, the first tank port 34d, and the second tank port 34h to the first actuator port 34e and the second actuator port 34g is switched.

[0018] More specifically, when the motor spool 61 is positioned in the neutral position, neither the first motor pump oil supply port 34a nor the second motor pump oil supply port 34c is connected to the bridge upstream port 34b. Also, in the neutral position, the first actuator port 34e and the second actuator port 34g are both blocked. When the motor spool 61 moves from the neutral position to the right in the figure, the bridge upstream port 34b and the first motor pump oil supply port 34a are connected, the first actuator port 34e is connected to the bridge downstream port 34f, and the second actuator port 34g is connected to the second tank port 34h. When the motor spool 61 moves from the neutral position to the left in the figure, the bridge upstream port 34b and the second motor pump oil supply port 34c are connected, the first actuator port 34e is connected to the first tank port 34d, and the second actuator port 34g is connected to the bridge downstream port 34f.

[0019] The first pump oil supply port 32a, second pump oil supply port 33a, first motor pump oil supply port 34a, and second motor pump oil supply port 34c communicate with each other inside the valve body 31 and are connected to the hydraulic pump 1 through an oil supply passage 40. The upper tank port 32d, lower tank port 33d, first tank port 34d, and second tank port 34h communicate with each other inside the valve body 31 and are connected to a tank 42 through an oil drain passage 41. The first cylinder meter in-port 32b and first cylinder meter-out port 32c are connected to the rod chamber 11a of the hydraulic cylinder 10 through a rod oil passage 43. The second cylinder meter in-port 33b and second cylinder meter-out port 33c are connected to the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10 through a bottom oil passage 44. The first actuator port 34e is connected to one supply port 21 of the hydraulic motor 20 through a first motor oil passage 45, and the second actuator port 34g is connected to the other supply port 22 of the hydraulic motor 20 through a second motor oil passage 46. The bridge upstream port 34b and the bridge downstream port 34f communicate with each other inside the valve body 31 through a bridge oil passage 35 provided in the valve body 31. A load check valve 36 is provided in the bridge oil passage 35, which only allows oil to pass from the bridge upstream port 34b to the bridge downstream port 34f.

[0020] As is clear from the figure, the two cylinder spools 51, 52 and the motor spool 61 are provided with neutral springs 37a, 37b, and 37c at one end thereof, and pressure chambers 38a1, 38a2, 38b1, 38b2, 38c1, and 38c2 at both ends thereof. The neutral springs 37a, 37b, and 37c are used to maintain the spools 51, 52, and 61 in their neutral positions, and are housed inside spring boxes 39 provided on one side surface 31a and 31b of the valve body 31. The pressure chambers 38a1, 38a2, 38b1, 38b2, 38c1, and 38c2 house the ends of the spools 51, 52, and 61 and are filled with oil. Although not shown in the figure, each pressure chamber 38a1, 38a2, 38b1, 38b2, 38c1, and 38c2 is individually connected to a pilot oil passage for applying a pilot pressure output from an operating valve. When the pilot pressure output in response to operation of the operating valve is applied to the pressure chamber 38a1 or 38a2 through the pilot oil passage, the first cylinder spool 51 can be moved axially against the spring force of the neutral spring 37a. When the pilot pressure output in response to operation of the operating valve is applied to the pressure chamber 38b1 or 38b2 through the pilot oil passage, the second cylinder spool 52 can be moved axially against the spring force of the neutral spring 37b. When the pilot pressure output in response to operation of the operating valve is applied to the pressure chamber 38c1 or 38c2 through the pilot oil passage, the motor spool 61 can be moved axially against the spring force of the neutral spring 37c. When the pilot pressures applied to the pressure chambers 38a1, 38a2, 38b1, 38b2, 38c1, and 38c2 are removed, the spring forces of the neutral springs 37a, 37b, and 37c return the spools 51, 52, and 61 to their neutral positions. In this embodiment, pilot oil passages are provided in the valve body 31 so that the two cylinder spools 51 and 52 are interlocked and move in the same direction. The cylinder spools 51 and 52 and the motor spool 61 can be operated independently by separate operating valves.

[0021] In the hydraulic drive circuit configured as described above, when the cylinder spools 51, 52 are positioned in the neutral position, the first cylinder meter in-port 32b, the first cylinder meter out-port 32c, the second cylinder meter in-port 33b, and the second cylinder meter out-port 33c are all blocked. Therefore, no oil flows through the rod chamber 11a and the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10, and the operating rod 12 maintains its current position relative to the cylinder body 11.

[0022] When the cylinder spools 51, 52 are moved to the right in the figure by operating the operating valve from this state, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the oil supply passage 40 is supplied to the rod chamber 11a of the hydraulic cylinder 10 through the first pump oil supply port 32a of the first cylinder spool 51, the first cylinder meter in port 32b, and the rod oil passage 43. At the same time, oil in the bottom chamber 11b is discharged to the tank 42 through the bottom oil passage 44, the second cylinder meter-out port 33c of the second cylinder spool 52, the lower tank port 33d, and the drain oil passage 41. Therefore, the hydraulic cylinder 10 is in a state in which the operating rod 12 is retracted relative to the cylinder body 11.

[0023] Conversely, when the operating valve is operated to move the cylinder spools 51, 52 to the left in the figure, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the oil supply passage 40 is supplied to the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10 through the second pump oil supply port 33a, the second cylinder meter in port 33b of the second cylinder spool 52, and the bottom oil passage 44. At the same time, oil in the rod chamber 11a is discharged to the tank 42 through the rod oil passage 43, the first cylinder meter-out port 32c, the upper tank port 32d, and the oil drain passage 41. Therefore, the hydraulic cylinder 10 is in a state in which the operating rod 12 is advanced relative to the cylinder body 11.

[0024] On the other hand, when the motor spool 61 is disposed in the neutral position, the first motor pump oil supply port 34a, the second motor pump oil supply port 34c, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the second actuator port 34g are all blocked. Therefore, no oil flows through the hydraulic motor 20, and the output shaft does not rotate in either direction.

[0025] When the motor spool 61 is moved to the right in the figure by operating the operating valve from this state, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the supply oil passage 40 is supplied to one supply port 21 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the first motor pump oil supply port 34a, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the first motor oil passage 45, causing the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20 to rotate forward, for example.

[0026] Conversely, when the motor spool 61 is moved to the left in the figure by operating the operating valve, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the supply oil passage 40 is supplied to the other supply port 22 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the second motor pump oil supply port 34c, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the second actuator port 34g, and the second motor oil passage 46, and the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20, for example, is reversed.

[0027] During these operations, according to the hydraulic valve device 30, individual cylinder spools 51, 52 are provided for the rod chamber 11a and the bottom chamber 11b of the hydraulic cylinder 10. This allows the individual diameters to be set large while keeping the axial length small, making it possible to supply a relatively large flow rate of oil to the hydraulic cylinder 10 and reduce pressure loss.

[0028] On the other hand, since the hydraulic motor 20 requires a relatively small flow rate, a single motor spool 61 is provided. This prevents an increase in the number of parts in the hydraulic valve device 30, and also prevents the valve body 31 from becoming larger by reducing the number of spools 51, 52, and 61 arranged side by side. Furthermore, the motor spool 61 is provided with the first pump oil supply port 32a and the second pump oil supply port 33a on one axial side, and the first actuator port 34e and the second actuator port 34g arranged side by side on the other axial side. Therefore, the bridge oil passage 35 only needs to be provided between the pump oil supply ports 32a and 33a on the other axial side where the actuator ports 34e and 34g are provided, thereby reducing the axial length of the motor spool 61. This reduces the dimension between the two side surfaces 31a and 31b of the valve body 31, thereby preventing the valve body 31 from becoming larger.

[0029] In the motor direction switching valve 60 shown in the embodiment described above, the first motor pump oil supply port 34a, the bridge upstream port 34b, the second motor pump oil supply port 34c, the first tank port 34d, the first actuator port 34e, the bridge downstream port 34f, the second actuator port 34g, and the second tank port 34h are provided in this order in the spool hole 34 of the valve body 31. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and it is sufficient that a pump oil supply port connected to a hydraulic pump is provided on one axial side of the motor spool, and two actuator ports are provided side by side on the other side. Below, such modified examples 1 and 2 are described.

[0030] 4 and 5, a hydraulic valve device 130 according to Modification 1 is provided with a first bridge upstream port 132b and a second bridge upstream port 132c on either side of a pump oil supply port 132a on one axial side of the motor spool 61, and these two bridge upstream ports 132b, 132c communicate with the bridge downstream port 34f via a bridge oil passage 35. Other configurations are similar to those of the embodiment and are denoted by the same reference numerals. Although not shown, the hydraulic valve device 130 according to Modification 1 also includes a cylinder directional control valve provided above the valve body 31, similar to the embodiment.

[0031] In this first modification, when the motor spool 61 is positioned in the neutral position shown in the figure, the pump oil supply port 132a, the first bridge upstream port 132b, the second bridge upstream port 132c, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the second actuator port 34g are all blocked. Therefore, no oil flows through the hydraulic motor 20, and the output shaft does not rotate in either direction.

[0032] When the motor spool 61 is moved to the right in the figure by operating the operating valve from this state, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the oil supply passage 40 is supplied to one of the supply ports 21 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the pump oil supply port 132a, the first bridge upstream port 132b, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the first motor oil passage 45, causing the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20 to rotate in the forward direction, for example.

[0033] Conversely, when the motor spool 61 is moved to the left in the figure by operating the operating valve, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the supply oil passage 40 is supplied to the other supply port 22 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the pump oil supply port 132a, the second bridge upstream port 132c, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the second actuator port 34g, and the second motor oil passage 46, and the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20, for example, is reversed.

[0034] Even in this first modification, a single motor spool 61 is provided in the motor direction switching valve 160, which requires a relatively small flow rate. This prevents an increase in the number of parts in the hydraulic valve device 130, and by reducing the number of spools arranged in parallel, prevents an increase in the size of the valve body 31. Moreover, the motor spool 61 is provided with the pump oil supply port 132a on one axial side and the first actuator port 34e and the second actuator port 34g arranged in parallel on the other axial side. Therefore, it is only necessary to provide the bridge oil passage 35 from the pump oil supply port 132a to the other axial side where the actuator ports 34e and 34g are provided, thereby reducing the axial length of the motor spool 61. This reduces the dimension between the two side surfaces 31a and 31b of the valve body 31, preventing an increase in the size of the valve body 31.

[0035] (Variation 2) In a hydraulic valve device 230 of Variation 2 shown in Figures 6 and 7, a bridge upstream port 34b is formed on one axial side of a motor spool 261, closer to the pump oil supply port 34c, and the bridge upstream port 34b and the bridge downstream port 34f are connected to each other via a bridge oil passage 35. A land portion 261a of the motor spool 261, located between the bridge upstream port 34b and the pump oil supply port 34c, is configured to enable communication between the bridge upstream port 34b and the pump oil supply port 34c regardless of whether the motor spool 261 moves left or right. The other components are the same as those in the embodiment and are denoted by the same reference numerals. Although not shown, the hydraulic valve device 230 of Variation 2 also includes a cylinder directional control valve provided above the valve body 31, as in the embodiment.

[0036] In this second modification, when the motor spool 261 is positioned in the neutral position shown in the figure, the pump oil supply port 34c, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the second actuator port 34g are all blocked. Therefore, no oil flows through the hydraulic motor 20, and the output shaft does not rotate in either direction.

[0037] When the motor spool 261 is moved to the right in the figure by operating the operating valve from this state, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the supply oil passage 40 is supplied to one supply port 21 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the pump oil supply port 34c, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the first actuator port 34e, and the first motor oil passage 45, causing the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20 to rotate forward, for example.

[0038] Conversely, when the motor spool 261 is moved to the left in the figure by operating the operating valve, oil discharged from the hydraulic pump 1 to the supply oil passage 40 is supplied to the other supply port 22 of the hydraulic motor 20 through the pump oil supply port 34c, the bridge upstream port 34b, the bridge oil passage 35, the bridge downstream port 34f, the second actuator port 34g, and the second motor oil passage 46, and the output shaft of the hydraulic motor 20 is reversed, for example.

[0039] In this second modification, a single motor spool 261 is provided in a motor direction switching valve requiring a relatively small flow rate. This prevents an increase in the number of parts in the hydraulic valve device 230, and by reducing the number of spools arranged in parallel, it is possible to prevent an increase in the size of the valve body 31. Moreover, the motor spool 261 is provided with the pump oil supply port 34c on one axial side and the first actuator port 34e and the second actuator port 34g arranged in parallel on the other axial side. Therefore, it is only necessary to provide the bridge oil passage 35 on the other axial side from the pump oil supply port 34c to the actuator ports 34e and 34g, thereby reducing the axial length of the motor spool 261. This reduces the dimension between the two side surfaces 31a, 31b of the valve body 31, thereby preventing an increase in the size of the valve body 31.

[0040] In the above-described embodiment, a hydraulic valve device provided with one cylinder direction switching valve and one motor direction switching valve is exemplified. However, two or more cylinder direction switching valves and two or more motor direction switching valves may be provided to accommodate two or more hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motors. In this case, the hydraulic valve device may be configured by providing two spools for hydraulic equipment such as hydraulic cylinders that require a large flow rate, and by providing only one spool for hydraulic equipment such as hydraulic motors that require a small flow rate. However, it is not necessary to provide two cylinder spools for every hydraulic cylinder; a single cylinder spool may be provided for hydraulic cylinders that require a small flow rate. Furthermore, the upper and lower positions of the cylinder spool and motor spool are not limited to those described in the embodiment.
