Abstract
A cactus-based nitrogen-enhanced animal feed composition is provided comprising dried cactus powder from Opuntia species and a nitrogen-enhancing additive such as urea and or ammonium sulphate. The composition is configured for use as a dry supplement or pelletized feed. A method for preparing the composition and a production kit for decentralized manufacture are also disclosed.
