Abstract

The present invention relates to a single-use sterile chamber for ophthalmologic procedures, which comprises a transparent and flexible enveloping body configured to surround a patient's eye and to delimit a controlled microenvironment during an ophthalmologic procedure; at least one periorbital sealing element integrally coupled to the housing, configured to adhere to the skin surrounding the patient's eye forming a hermetic seal during the ophthalmologic procedure; at least one connector arranged in the housing and configured for coupling with an air supply system; at least one filter integrated in the housing, adjacent to the at least one connector, configured to filter air from the air supply system; at least two handling accesses, arranged on the housing, configured to allow the ingress of upper extremities of a medical environment delimited by said housing; wherein the connector further comprises a securing means configured to lose, during a first coupling to the air supply system, a mechanical retaining capacity necessary for a subsequent recoupling of the connector.
