Abstract
The subject of the invention, the smart teeth clenching splint (100), is an innovative digital health solution developed to detect, analyze, and, when necessary, provide instant behavioral feedback to the user based on individual thresholds, in line with the analysis of data obtained from multiple sensors, involuntary bruxism, i.e., teeth clenching and grinding, which occurs in individuals, especially during sleep at night, by analyzing artificial intelligence algorithms. Instead of the passive mechanical protection offered by the existing classic night guards used today, the smart teeth clenching splint (100) actively detects, records, and analyzes the behavior; thanks to the instant feedback provided to the user, it enables this habit to be noticed and controlled over time. Thus, it contributes to the protection of dental and jaw health and to the prevention of long-term negative effects such as temporomandibular joint disorders, headaches, and tooth wear caused by bruxism.
