[0001] The present invention relates to a tarpaulin system and, more particularly, to a tarpaulin system with a side entry cover.BACKGROUND
[0002] In general, tarpaulins provide shelter and safety to the user for various weather scenarios. Usually, more than one person inhabits the tarpaulin at a time which can cause crowdedness when both walking around or sleeping in the tarpaulin. Therefore, there is a need for a system to provide additional space and covering to reduce crowdedness while in or around the tarpaulin. As the foregoing illustrates, the invention provides the tarpaulin side cover assembly.SUMMARY
[0003] As provided, the tarpaulin side cover assembly is a first panel and a second panel coupled at an upper ridge line. The first panel having a central opening extending along a central portion of the first panel. The tarpaulin side cover assembly further includes a plurality of support bars positioned between an inner surface and an outer surface of the first panel and the second panel. The tarpaulin side cover assembly further includes a pair of side panels positioned at each end of the first panel and the second panel. [0015] The present disclosure includes a tarpaulin side cover assembly 1 according to the invention. In the exemplary embodiment, the tarpaulin side cover assembly 1 includes a tarpaulin assembly 2 and a cover assembly 4.

In the alternate tarpaulin assembly 2′, the cover panel 140 is draped over the outer surface of the first panel 80 and permitted to freely move.

A tarpaulin side cover assembly comprising:a first panel and a second panel coupled at an upper ridge line; the first panel having a central opening extending along a central portion of the first panel; a plurality of support bars positioned between an inner surface and an outer surface of the first panel and the second panel;a pair of side panels positioned at each end of the first panel and the second panel; anda cover panel having a rear edge coupled to the upper ridge line.
2. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 1, further comprises a zipper assembly positioned on the first panel along the central opening.
3. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 2, wherein each side panel of the pair of side panels includes a central opening extending along a central portion of the side panel.
4. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 3, further comprises a button assembly positioned along the central opening of each side panel of the pair of side panels.
5. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 4, wherein the cover panel extends a length of the first panel.
6. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 5, wherein the cover panel further includes a coupler positioned along a front edge of the cover panel.
7. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 6, wherein the coupler includes a receiving passageway.
8. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 7, wherein the cover panel further includes a plurality of stabilizers.
9. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 8, wherein each stabilizer is connected to the coupler and extends the cover panel away from the first panel.
10. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 9, wherein a pair of support bars of the plurality of support bars are threaded through the receiving passageway while the cover panel remains parallel to the first panel.
11. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 10, wherein a curvature forms along the length of the first panel and a length of the second panel.
12. A tarpaulin side cover assembly comprising:a first panel and a second panel coupled at an upper ridge line; the first panel having a central opening extending along a central portion of the first panel; a zipper assembly positioned along the central opening of the first panel;a pair of side panels coupled to an edge of the first panel and an edge of the second panel, each side panel of the pair of side panels includes a central opening extending along a central portion of the side panel; anda cover panel having a rear edge coupled to the upper ridge line and covering the zipper assembly, the cover panel extending away from the first panel.
13. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 12, further comprises a button assembly positioned along the central opening of each side panel of the pair of side panels.
14. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 13, wherein the cover panel further includes a coupler positioned along a front edge of the cover panel.
15. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 14, wherein the cover panel further includes a plurality of stabilizers.
16. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 15, wherein each stabilizer is connected to the coupler.
17. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 16, wherein the first panel and second panel are composed of xenon and is between 20 denier and 30 deniers of polyester or nylon.
18. The tarpaulin side cover assembly of claim 17, wherein the first panel and second panel are coated with at least eighty percent (80%) silicone.
