Abstract

This apparatus consists of an interchangeable, dual-headed device for the manual trimming of dried cannabis flowers. The ergonomic design of the brush handle is suitable for right or left-handed individuals to comfortably hold for prolonged periods of use. The screw-on tip allows for the ability to interchange a head with (1) a flat style silicone bristle or (2) an angled style silicone bristle for more precise removal of matter and dried leaves from the cannabis flower.

[0006] Field of invention. The present invention relates generally as a trimming tool for removing leaves and matter from dried plants and more specifically relates to the manual removal of dried leaves from cannabis flowers or buds.

[0007] Various tools have been provided in prior art that are used as tools to trim dried cannabis by removing the leaves and preserving the flower. These tools include both mechanical and manual methods of trimming. Their functionality is dependent upon their design and material used, allowing the user to choose the method or apparatus that best works for their desired outcome. Mechanical methods of trimming include machines with blades that are designed for cutting and trimming, powered by a motor to rotate the blades and a mechanism to tumble the cannabis flower over the blade surface. These methods have decreased the amount of time spent trimming, but have failed to consistently produce quality and damage-free flowers or buds after the process is complete. Additionally, mechanical methods of trimming have an electrical component that increases the risk of personal injury or harm, compared to its manual equivalent. Currently, manual trimming methods are limited to what is currently on the market including gardening scissors or the like, or using the manual method of plucking with one's fingers to remove the dried leaves from the cannabis flower. Mechanical methods are harder to clean, manual methods typically require soap and water to remove residue from fingers or scissors. While the mentioned prior art may be used to act as a reliable method of trimming dried cannabis leaves, they may not be suitable for the purposes of the present invention as presently described.BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION

[0008] A primary objective of the present invention is to provide an ergonomic design that allows for long periods of comfortable use and safety. The three indentations on the brush handle allow the user to use a proper grip in order to comfortably hold the tool in multiple positions while preforming the trimming process. This design is compatible with right or left-handed use.

[0009] Another primary objective of the present invention is to provide an interchangeable, screw-on tip for two brush heads that comprise of (1) a set of straight silicone bristles or (2) a set of angled silicone bristles. The silicone material is soft and does not stick, minimizing damage to the flower. The flat and angled bristle options increase surface area coverage to remove the maximum amount of dried matter.

[0010] An additional primary objective is that the components and materials of this trimming tool are dishwasher safe and can be easily cleaned and sanitized as necessary.

[0019] The different figures depict various aspects of the invention. FIG. 1 and FIG. 5. depicts the top view of the invention. It consists of the handle 10 made from aluminum, or other durable and lightweight material, with a threaded screw 14 at the end. There are three (3) indentations 12 on the brush handle providing an ergonomic grip and allowing the handle to be held comfortably in multiple orientations in the left or right hand. The brush head 20 is made from aluminum, or other durable and lightweight material, and contains the silicone bristles 22. The brush head 20 is attached to the screw of the brush handle 10 and can be easily removed and reattached as necessary. FIG. 1 shows the brush head 20 with the straight silicone bristles 16 attached to the brush handle, while FIG. 5 shows the brush head with angled silicone bristles 18. When assembled, this tool is meant to speed up the trimming process by using a brushing motion to remove dried leaves from the cannabis flower. FIG. 2 shows the three row arrangement of silicone bristles 22 on the brush head. FIG. 3. shows the side view of the assembled present invention. FIG. 4 and FIG. 6 show perspective views of the present invention with the brush handle attached to the brush head comprising of straight silicone bristles 16 and angled silicone bristles 18 respectively. Each set of bristles has its own functionality and purpose for trimming the cannabis flower. The straight bristles offer more coverage while brushing the dried leaves, while the angled bristles allow for increased precision and are able to access the harder to reach areas of the flower. The size and weight of the present invention is convenient for prolonged use and reduces the time spent on the trimming process compared to existing manual methods. The present invention is a faster, more reliable, and safer method for trimming dried leaves from cannabis flower.

Claims

1. A brush apparatus for manually removing dried matter and leaves from flower buds, comprising:a handle portion;an interchangeable brush head detachably connected to said handle portion; andsaid interchangeable brush head comprising a set of straight bristles and a set of angled bristles for different functions of trimming.

2. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said interchangeable brush head further comprises:a first side with the set of straight bristles; anda second side with the set of angled bristles.

3. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said handle portion comprises three indentations to form a grip for ergonomic handling during use.

4. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said straight bristles and angled bristles are made of durable materials suitable for repeated use.

5. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said interchangeable brush head further comprises a locking mechanism for secure attachment to said handle portion.

6. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said interchangeable brush head further comprises a detachable mechanism for easy replacement.

7. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said angled bristles are positioned at an angle suitable for efficient trimming of flower buds.

8. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said handle portion is constructed of a lightweight and durable material.

9. The brush apparatus of claim 1, wherein said brush handle comprises:a length optimized for efficient maneuverability and access to trimming areas; anda weight distribution strategically balanced to minimize fatigue and enhance control during trimming operations.
