[0001] The present invention is a continuation-in-part (C.I.P.) application of the co-pending U.S. Ser. No. 18 / 626,446.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONField of the Invention
[0002] The present invention relates to an exercising machine and, more particularly, to a frame-type leg lifting (or raise or extension) machine with steady pedaling and swinging.Description of the Related Art
[0003] A conventional frame-type leg lift machine was disclosed in the U.S. Patent Publication No. 2025 / 0312639, and comprises a main frame unit at least provided with two driving leg swing arms, two handlebar swing arms, a swinging assembly, and a magnetic resistance mechanism. Each of the driving leg swing arms is separately disposed on two sides of the main frame unit, and has a lower end pivotally connected to one of two pedals and an upper end pivotally connected to each of the handlebar swing arms via a transverse driven rod. The upper ends of the two driving leg swing arms are simultaneously linked downward to pivotally connect to the swinging assembly. The swinging assembly links the magnetic resistance mechanism, and the magnetic resistance mechanism simultaneously feeds resistance back inversely in sequence to the two driving leg swing arms and the two handlebar swing arms. Thus, an exerciser can perform a movement of interactive leg lifting swinging with forward and backward limited positions in an arcuate trajectory, and obtain practical effects of magnetic resistance, stable actuation swinging, and improved safety.
[0004] However, the conventional frame-type leg lift machine has the following disadvantages:
[0005] 1. Each of the driving leg swing arms is mounted on the middle section of each of the two pedals, so that when a user steps onto the pedals with their feet, each of the pedals is very prone to tilting or wobbling back and forth, and the user's feet easily slip forward or backward off the pedals and cause ankle sprains, resulting in danger during use.
[0006] 2. When the user's feet step safely onto the pedals and perform interactive leg lifting swinging, at this time, with the forward and backward swinging of the driving leg swing arms and the user's corresponding stepping on the pedals, each of the pedals is even more prone to tilting or wobbling back and forth, and the user's feet are more likely to slip forward or backward off the pedal, causing the whole person to fall off the leg lift machine and sustain injury, or even possibly causing the head to hit various components on the leg lift machine, resulting in greater and unimaginable danger during use.BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0007] In view of the lack of safety in the foot pedaling swinging design of the conventional frame-type leg lifting machine, the pedals are very prone to tilting or wobbling back and forth, and the user's feet easily slip forward or backward off the pedals, causing ankle sprains, or the whole person will fall off the leg lifting machine and sustain injury, or even possibly causing the head to suffer an impact.

In practice, the lifting mechanism 90 links and drives the lifting frame 80 to swing, thereby causing the lower base frame 11 to change different inclination angles.
[0045] Operation of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention is described as follows.
[0046] 1. When in use, the exerciser's two feet step on the two pedals 30, so that the two pedals 30 alternately drive and move the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20, so that the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20 are driven to swing along an arcuate trajectory in an alternating forward and backward limited manner. Therefore, the user can raise and extend two legs to achieve an exercising effect.
[0047] 2. When the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20 swing, each of the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20 sequentially links and drives the first pivotal connection member 44, the first driven member 42, the second pivotal connection member 45, and the rear swing member 43, and synchronously pulls each of the two bottom rods 53 to drive each of the two front swing members 54 to swing, thereby driving and rotating the rotating spindle 55.
[0048] 3. As shown in FIGS. 13 and 14, when the rotating spindle 55 is rotated, transmission is conducted from the third transmission belt 63 via the speed ratio adjustment mechanism 60 to the magnetic resistance wheel 72 of the magnetic resistance mechanism 70 so that the magnetic resistance wheel 72 is rotated. When the magnetic resistance wheel 72 rotates, resistance is simultaneously fed back inversely in sequence to the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20. Preferably, when the magnetic resistance wheel 72 is rotated relative to a magnetic bracket, the magnetic bracket provides a magnetic resistance to the magnetic resistance wheel 72 and to apply a damping force to the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20, so that the user has to overcome the damping force to enhance the exercising effect.

Each of the two handlebar swing arms 40 has a lower end pivotally mounted on the lower base frame 11. Each of the two transverse driven rods 41 has a first end pivotally connected to a middle section of one of the two handlebar swing arms 40 and a second end pivotally connected to the pivotal connection portion 211 of the main leg swing arm 21. The main frame unit 10 further includes two first covering members 122 mounted on the two side supporting frames 12 respectively and covering the two transverse driven rods 41 respectively. Each of the two first covering members 122 is longitudinally formed with a slot 121 allowing passage and swinging of each of the two handlebar swing arms 40.
[0050] Operation of the second preferred embodiment of the present invention is described as follows.
[0051] 1. At the same time, when the exerciser's two hands hold the handlebar swing arms 40, the two transverse driven rods 41 are driven by the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20, to move the handlebar swing arms 40, so that the two handlebar swing arms 40 will reciprocally (or alternatingly) swing forward and backward.
[0053] 3. When the magnetic resistance wheel 72 rotates, resistance is simultaneously fed back inversely in sequence to the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20 and the two handlebar swing arms 40.
[0054] Referring to FIG. 15, the first driven member 42 is a cable.
[0055] Accordingly, the frame-type leg lifting machine of the present invention has the following advantages:
[0056] 1. The auxiliary leg swing arm 22 and the main leg swing arm 21 are pivotally mounted at the front section position and the rear section position of each of the two pedals 30. Thus, when the exerciser uses the machine and steps onto the two pedals 30 with both feet, tilting or wobbling back and forth will not occur. In addition, the user's two feet can step firmly and safely on the two pedals 30 without slipping off and causing ankle sprains.
[0057] 2. As shown in FIG. 8, when the user's two feet step on the two pedals 30 to perform alternating leg lifting and swinging actions, the two pedals 30 will always maintain a horizontal state to swing with the two driving leg swing arm assemblies 20, without tilting or wobbling back and forth, so that the user's two feet can step firmly and safely on the two pedals 30, preventing the user from falling off the machine and sustaining injury, or even preventing the user's head from hitting various components on the machine, thereby providing the user with high safety during use.
[0058] 3. The speed ratio adjustment mechanism 60 is installed between the swinging assembly 50 and the magnetic resistance mechanism 70 to adjust a ratio of resistance and rotational speed. Thus, through the combination of different resistances of the magnetic resistance wheel 72 of the magnetic resistance mechanism 70 and the speed ratio adjustment mechanism 60, different training effects are achieved, and the user is allowed to pedal more smoothly, steadily, and comfortably.
[0059] 4. The user can step on the two pedals 30 firmly and safely to perform exercise of alternating leg lifting and swinging, and to achieve different training effects by cooperation of the magnetic resistance mechanism 70 and the speed ratio adjustment mechanism 60.
[0060] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the scope of the invention.
