Abstract
The useful solution refers to a composite steel beam with concrete-filled truss (Hybrid Beam) consisting of two symmetrical flanges and diagonal members forming a super-long span truss structure. Each upper flange (01t, 02t, 03t) and lower flange (01h, 02h, 03h) is constructed from C-shaped steel plates, zigzag plates welded along the flange and U-shaped members welded to the zigzag peaks, in which the flange cavity is filled with concrete to create a highly effective compression-tension composite structure. The beam web consists of diagonal members (04) in the form of tubes or boxes arranged at an angle of 45°–60°, which can be selectively filled with concrete (CFT) at the compression members to increase stiffness and stability. The components are welded together to form a space frame system, working on the principle of a combination of steel and concrete: steel resists tension, concrete resists compression, allowing the beams to have high load-bearing capacity, high rigidity, and long spans while remaining lightweight and fire-resistant.The useful solution also addresses the method of manufacturing Hybrid Beam girders, including the steps of fabrication, assembly of the upper and lower chords, installation of diagonal bracing, transportation, and final concrete filling.
