[0001] This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202310564768.0 filed on May 18, 2023. The contents of the above-mentioned Chinese patent application disclosure are hereby incorporated by reference in their entirety as a part of this application. Technical Field
[0002] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a display module, a spliced screen, and a display device. Background Art
[0003] Display devices formed by spliced screens are becoming increasingly popular. Display devices, including spliced screens, are typically constructed by splicing together multiple independent display modules. A display module typically includes a display component and a backlight component. The display component primarily comprises a display panel and optical film layers, while the backlight component primarily comprises a middle frame, a light source, and a backplane. The backlight component includes a middle frame positioned to one side of the display component. The middle frame features a supporting platform for the display component and a storage area for optical film layers, such as a light guide plate, diffuser, and reflector. The supporting platform is secured to the non-display area of the display component via adhesive. The middle frame is located on the outer periphery of the backplane's bottom plate and has a mirror-polished surface. Its primary function is to reflect light emitted by LEDs and support the optical film layers. The backlight component includes a backplane that supports the middle frame. The light source comprises multiple LEDs arrayed on the backplane's bottom plate, providing the backlight source. The optical film layer, positioned above the light source, processes the light emitted by the light source to improve the uniformity of the display panel's image.
[0004] Summary of the Invention
[0005] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display module, a spliced screen and a display device. The first supporting portion includes a light-shielding portion, and the second supporting portion is formed of a light-transmitting material. This can reduce the obstruction of the middle frame to light emitted from the backlight source while ensuring the strength and straightness of the middle frame, thereby avoiding the problems of dark frames, blocked edge pixels, and increased dark areas due to the increased width of the edge of the spliced screen.
[0006] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display module, which includes a backlight component and a display component, the backlight component includes a middle frame and a back plate, the middle frame includes a first supporting portion configured to support the display component and extending in a first direction, and a second supporting portion carried on the back plate and extending in a second direction, the first direction and the second direction intersect; the first supporting portion includes a light-shielding portion, and the second supporting portion is formed of a light-transmitting material.
[0007] For example, in the display module provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the first supporting portion further includes a light-transmitting portion that wraps the light-shielding portion, and the light-transmitting portion and the second supporting portion are integrally formed.

[0012] For example, in the display module provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the display component includes a diffusion plate, an optical film layer, and a display panel stacked in sequence.

[0043] To make the purpose, technical solutions, and advantages of the embodiments of the present disclosure more clear, the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present disclosure will be clearly and completely described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings of the embodiments of the present disclosure. Obviously, the described embodiments are part of the embodiments of the present disclosure, not all of the embodiments. Based on the described embodiments of the present disclosure, all other embodiments obtained by ordinary technicians in this field without creative work are within the scope of protection of the present disclosure.
[0044] Unless otherwise defined, the technical or scientific terms used in this disclosure should have the usual meanings understood by persons of ordinary skill in the field to which this disclosure belongs. The words "first", "second" and similar terms used in this disclosure do not indicate any order, quantity or importance, but are only used to distinguish different components. Words such as "include" or "comprise" mean that the elements or objects appearing before the word include the elements or objects listed after the word and their equivalents, without excluding other elements or objects. Words such as "connect" or "connected" are not limited to physical or mechanical connections, but may include electrical connections, whether direct or indirect. "Up", "down", "left", "right" and the like are only used to indicate relative positional relationships. When the absolute position of the object being described changes, the relative positional relationship may also change accordingly.
[0045] Borderless or narrow-border display devices can provide users with a more stunning visual experience and have become a trend in the current display field. In particular, in the field of spliced screen technology, the width of the border of a single display module directly affects the width of the seam of the spliced screen, which in turn affects the overall display effect of the spliced screen. Therefore, spliced screens have higher requirements for the width of the border. In other words, the display modules that form the spliced screen need to have narrower borders. Otherwise, the middle frame will block light, resulting in a dark frame. The edge pixels will be blocked, causing the dark area at the edge to be aggravated. The splicing of multiple display modules will double the width of the dark frame, aggravating the dark area at the edge, and deteriorating the splicing effect.
[0046] For example, FIG1 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a display module included in a spliced screen, and FIG2 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a display module included in another spliced screen. As shown in FIG1 and FIG2, the display module 100 includes a middle frame 101, a diffuser plate 102, an optical film layer 103, a display panel 104, a front frame 105, and an adhesive 106 for bonding the front frame 105 and the display panel 104. For example, as shown in FIG1, light emitted from a backlight source (not shown in FIG1) is incident from the surface of the middle frame 101 to the diffuser plate 102 and the optical film layer 103, and then transmitted to the edge of the display panel 104. However, no light is emitted from the position corresponding to area A on the upper side of the middle frame 101, that is, no light is emitted from the area of the middle frame 101 supporting the diffuser plate 102, thereby causing a dark frame problem of the diffuser plate 102 in this part of the area, resulting in a dark phenomenon in this area. For example, as shown in FIG2 , since the edge of the support surface of the middle frame 101 for supporting the display panel 104 that is away from the center of the display panel is less than or equal to 0.1 mm in the horizontal direction from the display area, when the display component and the backlight component are offset during assembly during the preparation of the display device, the support surface of the middle frame 101 for supporting the display panel 104 will enter the display area, thereby preventing the light emitted from the backlight source from entering this support surface area, thereby causing the problem of edge pixels being blocked. Due to the problem of dark frames and edge pixels being blocked around a single display module, when multiple display modules are actually spliced to form a spliced screen, the width of the dark frame will double, that is, the widths of the dark frames at the edges of the two display modules will overlap, resulting in the phenomenon of aggravated dark areas at the edges of the spliced screen, thereby causing the splicing effect of the spliced screen to deteriorate.
[0047] The inventors of the present disclosure noticed that by changing the structural design of the middle frame included in the display module, the middle frame can include a first supporting portion that supports the display component and extends in a first direction, and a second supporting portion that is carried on the back panel and extends in a second direction, and the first supporting portion can include a light-shielding portion, and the second supporting portion can be formed of a light-transmitting material. This can reduce the blocking of light emitted from the backlight source by the middle frame while ensuring the strength and straightness of the middle frame, thereby avoiding the problem of dark frames and edge pixels being blocked and the dark area being aggravated due to the increase in the edge width of the spliced screen.
[0048] It should be noted that the middle frame is strong, which can ensure that the middle frame supports the display components carried thereon; the middle frame has high straightness, which can ensure that there are no various protrusions on the surface of the middle frame, and thus there will be no protrusions blocking or scattering the light emitted from the backlight source.
[0049] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure provides a splicing screen. For example, FIG3 is a schematic planar structural diagram of a splicing screen provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG3 , the splicing screen 300 includes a plurality of display modules 200 connected in sequence. Although FIG3 shows that the splicing screen 300 includes 9 display modules 200 spliced together, the embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited thereto and may also include other numbers of display modules 200, for example, 2, 4, 6, 12, etc. The plurality of display modules 200 are spliced together, and a seam is provided between any two adjacent display modules 200. In some examples, the display module 200 may be a liquid crystal display module, an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display module, or an electrophoretic display module. In the following embodiments, the display module 200 is described as a liquid crystal display module.
[0050] For example, Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a display module included in a splicing screen provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 4, each display module 200 includes a backlight component 201 and a display component 202, the backlight component 201 includes a middle frame 2011 and a back panel 2012, the middle frame 2011 includes a first support portion 2011a configured to support the display component 202 and extending in a first direction X, and a second support portion 2011b supported on the back panel 2012 and extending in a second direction Y, the first direction X and the second direction Y intersect; the first support portion 2011a includes a light-shielding portion 20111, and the second support portion 2011b is formed of a light-transmitting material.
[0051] For example, as shown in FIG4 , the display module 200 further includes a light source structure 203 and a reflective film 204, and the display component 202 includes a diffuser plate 2021, an optical film layer 2022, and a display panel 2023. The structures and functions of the light source structure 203, the reflective film 204, the diffuser plate 2021, the optical film layer 2022, and the display panel 2023 are described in detail below.
[0052] For example, light-emitting diodes are usually used as light source structures. Since the light emitted by light-emitting diodes has strong directionality, in order to make the light emitted by the light-emitting diodes evenly mixed and form a uniform surface light source, the diffusion plate 2021 arranged above the light-emitting diodes needs to maintain a sufficient distance from these light-emitting diodes. Therefore, the diffusion plate 2021 needs to be arranged on the side of the bottom plate of the middle frame 2011 away from the back plate 2012.
[0053] For example, as shown in FIG4 , the first support portion 2011a further includes a light-transmitting portion 20112 that encloses the light-shielding portion 20111, and the light-transmitting portion 20112 and the second support portion 2011b are integrally formed. That is, the light-transmitting portion 20112 and the second support portion 2011b are formed using the same material in the same process step. This reduces the number of materials used to form the first support portion 2011a and the second support portion 2011b and improves the straightness of the middle frame 2011. In addition, the light-transmitting portion 20112 and the second support portion 2011b are integrally formed to form a structure with a gap that fills the light-shielding portion 20111, which can increase the overall strength and stability of the middle frame 2011. The light-shielding portion 20111, formed of aluminum, is arranged to be enclosed in the light-transmitting portion 20112, which can further increase the strength of the middle frame 2011.
[0054] For example, as shown in Figure 4, the light-transmitting part 20112 and the second supporting part 2011b are integrally formed of a light-transmitting material through an injection molding process, which can also improve the dark frame phenomenon caused by the middle frame part located at the edge of the display module blocking the light, that is, the part supporting the display component 202 and the part including the light-shielding part 20111 are formed through the injection molding process, and the injection molded part and the light-shielding part 20111 are combined through the injection molding process. During the injection molding process, the injection molded part can wrap the light-shielding part 20111 to form an integrated structure.
[0055] For example, in one example, the light-transmitting portion 20112 and the second support portion 2011b with a light-transmitting function formed by an injection molding process can allow the light emitted from the backlight structure to first enter the second support portion 2011b, and then enter the light-transmitting portion 20112 of the first support portion 2011a included in the supporting display component 202, thereby improving the uniformity of the image quality at the edge of the display module.
[0056] For example, in one embodiment, the light-transmitting portion 20112 and the second supporting portion 2011b are both made of light-transmitting materials, which may include polycarbonate doped with diffusion particles, polystyrene, or polymethyl methacrylate, which are transparent materials with a certain strength after curing.
[0057] For example, in one example, the back panel 2012 is the supporting structure of the entire light source structure 203, the back panel 2012 is fixed to the middle frame 2011 by snapping or locking, the reflective film 204 and the light source structure 203 are attached to the inside of the back panel 2012, and the material of the back panel 2012 includes at least one of electrogalvanized steel plate (SECC) and hot-dip galvanized steel plate (SGCC).
[0058] For example, the surface of the middle frame 2011 through which light passes has a scattering effect on the light, that is, a scattering surface. There is a slope surface with a certain inclination angle between the scattering surface of the middle frame 2011 and the optical film layer 2022. The function of the slope surface is to scatter the light emitted by the light source structure at the edge position, that is, the light emitted by the light source structure at the edge position will be scattered after passing through the slope surface of the middle frame 2011, so that this part of the light can more easily reach the display area of the display panel, so as to reduce the phenomenon of dark frames.
[0059] For example, as shown in FIG4 , the surface of the second support portion 2011b has a scattering reflective function. When light enters the scattering reflective surface, it is scattered, causing the light to be dispersed and enter the display component more evenly. In one example, a high-scattering reflective film with scattering particles is attached to the surface of the second support portion 2011b to form the scattering reflective surface, and the scattering reflective surface is matte.
[0060] For example, in another embodiment, a reflective surface is attached to the surface of the second supporting portion 2011b, and a dot layer is attached to the surface of the reflective surface to form the scattering reflective surface.
[0061] For example, FIG5 is a schematic diagram of a cross-sectional structure of a portion of a middle frame and a display component provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG5 , in the area surrounded by the light-transmitting portion 20112, the size of the light-shielding portion 20111 in the first direction X varies, and the average length of the light-shielding portion 20111 in the first direction X is 1 / 4 to 2 / 3 of the sum of the average lengths of the corresponding light-transmitting portion 20112 and the light-shielding portion 20111 in the first direction X. For example, excluding the portion of the light-shielding portion 20111 extending beyond the area surrounded by the light-transmitting portion 20112, the cross-sectional shape of the main portion of the light-shielding portion 20111 is a trapezoid or a quasi-trapezoidal shape, and along the second direction Y, the closer to the bottom plate of the back plate 2012, the longer the length of the light-shielding portion 20111 in the first direction X.
[0062] For example, in one example, the average length of the shading portion 20111 in the first direction X is 1 / 4, 1 / 3, 1 / 2 or 2 / 3 of the sum of the average lengths of the corresponding light-transmitting portion 20112 and the shading portion 20111 in the first direction X, and the embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited to this.
[0063] For example, as shown in Figure 5, the portion of the light-transmitting portion 20112 extending outside the light-shielding portion 20111 in the second direction Y is used to support the optical film layer 2022 and is in contact with the optical film layer 2022. When the light emitted by the backlight structure shines on the portion of the light-transmitting portion 20112 extending outside the light-shielding portion 20111 in the second direction Y, the light can still reach the display panel, so that the problem of edge pixels being blocked will not occur.
[0064] For example, in one example, the material of the optical film layer 2022 is polyethylene terephthalate, and the optical film layer 2022 includes a stacked prism film and a diffusion film, wherein the prism film is configured to converge light to enhance the overall brightness of the display module, and the diffusion film is used to make the light emitted by the light source structure more uniform.
[0065] For example, referring to FIG. 4 , the display component 202 includes a diffusion plate 2021 , an optical film layer 2022 , and a display panel 2023 , which are sequentially stacked on the bottom plate of the back plate 2012 .
[0066] For example, in one example, the material of the diffusion plate 2021 includes at least one of polystyrene and polycarbonate. The main function of the diffusion plate 2021 is to make the light emitted by the light source structure more uniform, so as to form a uniform surface light source.
[0067] For example, the display panel 2023 includes an array substrate and a color filter substrate that are relatively arranged, and a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the array substrate and the color filter substrate, that is, the display panel is a liquid crystal display panel. The structure of the liquid crystal display panel can refer to the conventional design. For example, a switching element (for example, a thin film transistor) connected to mutually orthogonal source wiring and gate wiring, a pixel electrode connected to the switching transistor, and an orientation film are provided on the array substrate. Color filters of various colors such as red filters, green filters and blue filters, a black matrix that separates each color filter, and an orientation film are provided on the color filter substrate. Polarizers are also provided on the outside of the array substrate and the color filter substrate, respectively.
[0068] For example, as shown in FIG4 , the back plate 2012 and the middle frame 2011 are fixed by snapping or locking, that is, the back plate 2012 and the middle frame 2011 are detachably connected, so that when the back plate 2012 and the middle frame 2011 are assembled, there is more space to accommodate the reflective film, the diffuser plate, the optical film layer and the display panel, and the above structures can be more flexibly adjusted during the installation process. The reflective film and the light source structure are arranged inside the back plate 2012.
[0069] For example, as shown in Figure 4, in one example, the back panel 2012 includes a bottom panel 2012a and a side panel 2012b, the reflective film 204 and the light source structure 203 are arranged on the bottom panel 2012a, and the reflective film 204 is arranged between the bottom panel 2012a and the light source structure 203. The reflective film 204 can perform a light-homogenizing effect on the light emitted from the light source structure 203.
[0070] For example, FIG6 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a portion of another middle frame and a display component provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, as shown in FIG6 , the width of the edge of the light-shielding portion 20111 on the side close to the display component 202 can be reduced to reduce the shielding of the light emitted from the light source structure by the light-shielding portion 20111. For example, the size of the supporting surface of the upper portion of the light-shielding portion 20111 can be reduced by 60%, and the angle of the bevel remains unchanged. For example, in one example, the size of the supporting surface of the upper portion of the light-shielding portion 20111 is reduced from 5 mm to 2 mm. For example, under the premise of ensuring the strength of the middle frame 2011, by reducing the width of the supporting surface of the upper portion of the light-shielding portion 20111, the amount of light incident on the display panel can be increased, thereby improving the brightness of the edge of the display module.
[0071] For example, Figure 7 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of another middle frame and a portion of the display component provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. For example, as shown in Figure 7, in the plane defined by the first direction X and the second direction Y, the planar shape of the shading portion 20112 includes at least a quadrilateral ABCD, and the quadrilateral ABCD includes a first angle α1 closest to the display component 202 in the second direction Y, and a second angle α2 farthest from the corresponding edge of the display component 202 in the first direction X. The first angle α1 ranges from 60° to 80°, and the second angle α2 ranges from 45° to 60°. The first angle α1 and the second angle α2 are designed to be within the above ranges so that more light can be reflected by the inclination of the side of the middle frame 2011, so as to enhance the brightness of the edge of the display module.
[0072] For example, in one example, the first angle α1 is 75°, and the second angle α2 is 55°; in another example, the first angle α1 is 64°, and the second angle α2 is 49°.
[0073] For example, as shown in FIG7 , in one example, the first angle α1 is designed to be 64°, the second angle α2 is designed to be 49°, and the width of the support surface of the upper portion of the light shielding portion 20111 is designed to be 4.2 mm (i.e., 0.8 mm smaller than the original design). This allows more light to be reflected by the angled sides of the middle frame 2011, thereby improving the brightness of the display module edges. The design in FIG7 can improve the brightness of the display module by at least 30% compared to conventional designs.
[0074] For example, in one example, the light source structure 203 may be a light emitting diode, and a refractive lens structure or a reflective lens structure is provided on the light emitting side of the light emitting diode.
[0075] For example, FIG8 is a schematic diagram of a cross-sectional structure in which a refractive lens is provided on a light source structure provided in at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. The principle of the refractive lens is that the light emitted by the light emitting diode is refracted after passing through the inner wall of the refractive lens, and the angle of the outgoing light is deflected, thereby improving the viewing angle of the light emitted by the light source structure. The light emitting angle of a conventional light emitting diode is 120 degrees. For example, as shown in FIG8 , after a refractive lens structure is provided above the light emitting diode, the light emitting angle of the light source structure can be further improved. For example, after the light emitted by the light emitting diode passes through the refractive lens structure, the light emitting angle can be increased to about 160 degrees, thereby increasing the angle range of the light emitted by the light source structure, reducing the obstruction of the middle frame on the light emitted from the light source structure, and avoiding the problem of dark frames and edge pixels being obstructed and the increase in the width of the spliced screen edge causing the dark area to become worse.
[0076] For example, the curvature radius of the light incident surface of the lens structure is larger, so that the light emitted from the light source structure is more divergent and the light uniformity of the backlight component can be improved, that is, the distance between adjacent light-emitting diodes can be set larger to effectively reduce the number of light-emitting diodes and reduce the production cost of the spliced screen.
[0077] It should be noted that the luminous angle is defined as the angle at which the luminous intensity is half of the peak intensity.
[0078] For example, FIG9 is a schematic diagram of a cross-sectional structure in which a reflective lens is provided on a light source structure provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. The principle of the reflective lens is that the light emitted by the light source structure with a smaller angle (for example, 0 to 45 degrees) is reflected once after passing through the inner wall of the reflective lens, and the partially reflected light is then incident on the reflective film for a second reflection. After the light is reflected twice, it is emitted, so that the light-emitting angle of the light-emitting diode becomes larger. The light emitted by the light-emitting diode with a larger angle (45 to 90 degrees) is refracted after passing through the inner wall of the reflective lens, and the angle of the emitted light is deflected. Since the light with a smaller angle is reflected, the brightness directly above the light-emitting diode decreases, and the light-emitting angle of the light-emitting diode increases. Therefore, the light-emitting angle of the light source structure after passing through the reflective lens is larger. The light-emitting angle of the light emitted by the light-emitting diode can be increased to about 170 degrees after passing through the reflective lens structure.
[0079] For example, Figure 10 shows the intensity-viewing angle curves of light emitted by an LED according to at least one embodiment of the present disclosure after passing through a reflective lens and a refractive lens, respectively. As can be seen from Figure 10, the luminous angle of the LED light can be increased to approximately 160 degrees after passing through the refractive lens structure, while the luminous angle of the LED light can be increased to approximately 170 degrees after passing through the reflective lens structure. The combination of the LED with both reflective and refractive lenses improves the uniformity of image quality around the edges of the display module.
[0080] For example, Figure 11 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a packaged chip formed after the light source structure provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure is packaged by the packaging structure. As shown in Figure 11, the packaged chip 301 is disposed on a substrate 303, and the light-emitting surface of the packaged chip 301 is provided with fluorescent glue 304. For example, as shown in Figure 11, fluorescent glue 304 is provided on the left and right sides of the packaged chip 301. The packaged chip 301 is a light-emitting diode that emits blue light, and the fluorescent glue 304 is yellow fluorescent glue. In this way, the blue light emitted by the blue light-emitting diode is converted into white light after passing through the yellow fluorescent glue 304.
[0081] For example, the material of the fluorescent glue 304 includes a phosphor material or a quantum dot fluorescent layer. For example, the phosphor material can improve luminous efficiency, precisely control the wavelength of light emitted by the packaged chip 301, and soften the light emitted by the packaged chip 301. Quantum dot materials have the characteristics of a narrow luminous spectrum, a wide color gamut, good stability, long life, and low production cost.
[0082] For example, as shown in FIG11 , a plurality of electrode structures 302 are provided between the packaged chip 301 and the substrate 303 , and there are gaps between the plurality of electrode structures 302 . This can facilitate the heat generated by the packaged chip 301 to dissipate from the gaps, thereby reducing the temperature of the packaged chip, thereby having advantages in high current driving and high temperature resistance.
[0083] For example, by using a fluorescent layer to cover the side surface of the light-emitting diode and a light-shielding layer to cover the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting diode, a chip-scale packaged light-emitting diode (packaged chip) that only emits light from the side is formed. That is, the packaged chip 301 is a chip-scale packaged light-emitting diode (CSP LED) that emits light on all four sides (except for the top and bottom surfaces, all other surfaces emit light). The definition of a chip-scale packaged device refers to a fully functional packaged device with a ratio of the package size to the chip size of no more than 1.2 times. A CSP LED is a light-emitting diode that uses a CSP packaging process. The structure of a chip-scale packaged light-emitting diode is to evenly wrap the fluorescent glue around the chip, and then mount the chip-scale packaged device on a substrate.
[0084] For example, the fluorescent layer 304 is coated on the side of the packaged chip 301, and its thickness is 0 to 400 μm, which can be adjusted according to the application scenario. For example, there is no gap between the fluorescent layer 304 and the packaged chip 301, so as to ensure that the emitted light does not have the problem of uneven emission, thereby improving the product yield. The light-shielding layer is used to block the light emitted from the light-emitting surface of the packaged chip 301, and the light-shielding layer covers the packaged chip 301 and the fluorescent layer, and is consistent with the edge of the fluorescent layer. For example, the thickness of the light-shielding layer is 10 to 500 μm, and there must be no gap, otherwise light leakage will occur.
[0085] For example, the light-shielding layer can be made of white glue, silicone, or epoxy resin. White glue offers excellent film-forming properties, high bonding strength, fast curing, non-toxicity, and low cost. Silicone offers high tensile strength, high transparency, non-toxicity, and a long lifespan. Epoxy resin offers excellent insulation, thermal conductivity, high and low temperature resistance, good sealing, and a simple filling process.
[0086] For example, the packaged chip 301 includes at least one of a blue LED chip, a red LED chip, a green LED chip, and a white LED chip. Different chips can be selected based on the application scenario and the actual output light requirements. When white light is required, the blue LED chip, the red LED chip, and the green LED chip can respectively emit blue light, red light, and green light to form white light, or the white LED chip can be used directly to emit white light.
[0087] For example, since the top of the chip-level packaged light-emitting diode does not emit light, there is no problem of uneven light emission between the top and the side. This can solve the problem that display products such as televisions, computer monitors or mobile phones are prone to light mixing difficulties when the light mixing distance is small, that is, it improves the light mixing effect and helps to improve the display effect of display products.
[0088] For example, Figure 12 is a light intensity-viewing angle curve of the packaged chip shown in Figure 11. As shown in Figure 12, the light emitting angle of the packaged chip can reach 160 degrees to 170 degrees, and since the chip-level packaged light emitting diodes are small in size, the arrangement of the light emitting diodes can be more dense, which is conducive to the arrangement design of the light emitting diodes at the edge positions. Therefore, the light source structure formed by the chip-level packaged light emitting diodes can effectively improve the uniformity of the emitted light at the edge positions.
[0089] For example, since the light emitted by the LED has a divergence angle, a dark area will appear between two adjacent LEDs. This dark area will cause the light output uniformity of the surface light source provided by the backlight component to decrease. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the number of LEDs and shorten the distance between two adjacent LEDs to reduce the area of the dark area. That is, the number of light source structures in a display module can be multiple. In order to improve the uniformity of the emitted light, multiple light source structures are usually designed to be arranged in an array. For example, Figure 13 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of a display module provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 13, the light source structure 203 includes a first light source structure 203a, a second light source structure 203b and a third light source structure 203c that are adjacent to each other in the first direction X and sequentially away from the first edge of the display component 202. The spacing between the first light source structure 203a and the first edge of the display component 202 is a first spacing D1, the spacing between the first light source structure 203a and the second light source structure 203b is a second spacing D2, and the spacing between the second light source structure 203b and the third light source structure 203c is a third spacing D3. The first spacing D1 is smaller than the second spacing D2, and the second spacing D2 is smaller than or equal to the third spacing D3. Since the closer to the first edge of the display component 202, the greater the risk of the display area of the display component being blocked, setting the first spacing D1, the second spacing D2 and the third spacing D3 to the above-mentioned size relationship can reduce the distance between the light source structure 203 closest to the first edge of the display component 202 and the first edge of the display component 202, so that the dark frame area at the edge of the display module can be compensated for the brightness, thereby improving the uniformity of the image quality at the edge of the display module, and can also reduce the number of light source structures 203 while ensuring the uniform brightness of the display component to reduce costs.
[0090] For example, the light source structures in the direct-type display module, such as light strips, are all arranged on the bottom plate of the back panel. The light of the light source structure of the backlight component is emitted from the bottom plate of the back panel and directly transmitted in the direction perpendicular to the main surface of the display panel. However, due to the limitation of the light-emitting angle of the lamp beads and lenses of the light source structure, the lamp beads arranged on the bottom plate of the back panel need to be evenly distributed on the bottom plate to make the light evenly emitted. This will result in a large number of light source structures, such as light strips. When the number of light strips is large, it is not conducive to the processing and assembly of the backlight component, and is even more detrimental to saving materials, and the processing cost is higher. Therefore, it is necessary to consider adjusting the spacing between adjacent light source structures to reduce the number of light source structures and ensure the uniformity of the brightness of the display component.
[0091] It should be noted that the types and selections of the above-mentioned first light source structure 203a, the second light source structure 203b and the third light source structure 203c can be found in the above-mentioned description of the light source structure 203. Multiple light source structures 203 are arranged in an array on the bottom plate of the back plate. Figure 13 only shows multiple light source structures 203 arranged adjacent to each other in the first direction X.
[0092] It should also be noted that the first edge of the display component refers to the edge of the display component that is closest to the described light source structure. For example, when describing the leftmost light source structure 203 in Figure 13, that is, the first light source structure 203a, the first edge of the display component refers to the leftmost edge of the display component. When describing the rightmost light source structure 203 not shown in Figure 13, the first edge of the display component refers to the rightmost edge of the display component.
[0093] For example, when the first distance D1, the second distance D2, and the third distance D3 are all equal, and the distance from the first edge of the display component 202 is less than or equal to 70 mm, the illumination of the light source structure 203 will be relatively low, that is, a dark frame phenomenon will appear at the edge of the display component 202. When the first distance D1 is designed to be smaller than the second distance D2, and the second distance D2 is designed to be less than or equal to the third distance D3, the brightness of the dark frame area at the first edge of the display component can be compensated, thereby improving the uniformity of image quality at the edge of the display module.
[0094] For example, as shown in Figure 13, in the first direction X, in the area from the first edge of the display component 202 to the center of the display component 202, the closer the distance to the first edge of the display component 202, the smaller the spacing between adjacent light source structures 203, that is, the arrangement density of the light source structure located at the edge position of the bottom plate of the back panel 2012 is greater than the arrangement density of the light source structure located in the middle area of the bottom plate of the back panel 2012. In this way, the number of light source structures can be further reduced to reduce costs while ensuring uniform brightness of the display component.
[0095] For example, in one embodiment, the first spacing D1 is 1 / 2 to 2 / 3 of the second spacing D2. By setting the ratio of the first spacing D1 to the second spacing D2 within the above ratio range, the distance between the light source structure closest to the first edge and the first edge can be reduced, so that the brightness of the dark frame area at the edge of the display module can be compensated, thereby further improving the uniformity of the image quality at the edge of the display module.
[0096] For example, in one example, the first distance D1 has a value range of 35 mm to 45 mm, the second distance D2 has a value range of 55 mm to 70 mm, and the third distance D3 has a value range of 75 mm to 90 mm.
[0097] For example, in one example, the first distance D1 is 39 mm, the second distance D2 is 62 mm, and the third distance D3 is 76 mm.
[0098] It should be noted that, in the spliced screen provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, element A and element B are adjacent, or adjacent elements A and element B means that there are no other elements A and other elements B between element A and element B, but there may be other elements besides element A and element B. Element A and element B may be the same element or different elements.
[0099] For example, because the spliced screen includes multiple display modules that can achieve the requirements of an ultra-narrow bezel design, the reflective surface of the middle frame cannot be perpendicular to the optical film layer. Instead, space must be reserved between the bottom of the middle frame and the back panel. The reflective surface of the middle frame is designed to be a sloped surface with a certain angle to the optical film layer. The main function of this sloped surface is to reflect light emitted by the light source structure located at the edge of the back panel. The inclination angle of the sloped surface of the middle frame is usually designed to be 50 to 75 degrees, and the light source structures in the light source structure are arranged at equal intervals. Because the light source structures at the edge of the display component reflect light on the sloped surface, a bright edge appears at the edge of the display component's display image. In addition, the brightness uniformity of the display is high in the middle of the display screen, while the brightness is low at the edge of the display screen. There is a transition zone from higher brightness to lower brightness at the edge of the display screen, and there is an obvious black frame at the edge of the display screen, which will affect the display screen of the final product. The inventors of the present disclosure also noticed that the second support portion of the middle frame can be designed to be bent and extended, which can increase the brightness at the edge of the display screen and eliminate the transition zone from higher brightness to lower brightness and the obvious black frame at the edge of the display screen.
[0100] For example, Figure 14 is a schematic diagram of the cross-sectional structure of another display module provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 14, the second support portion 2011b is bent and extended in the second direction Y, and the second support portion 2011b includes at least a first extension portion 2051, a second extension portion 2052, a third extension portion 2053 and a fourth extension portion 2054 arranged in sequence. The first extension portion 2051 is connected to the first support portion 2011a, and the portion where the second extension portion 2052 and the third extension portion 2053 are connected is recessed toward the side close to the edge of the display component 202. The fourth extension portion 2054 is connected to the back panel (not shown in Figure 14), and a light source structure 203 is provided on the third extension portion 2053. The light emitted from the light source structure 203 is not reflected by other structures in the middle frame 2011, thereby reducing the area of the blocked portion of the display component 203, thereby further ensuring the uniformity of the display brightness of the display component.
[0101] For example, Figure 15 shows a display screen of a spliced screen, and Figure 16 shows a display screen of a spliced screen provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in Figure 15 , it can be clearly seen that there is a dark frame around the edge of the spliced screen display, and the image quality uniformity of the edge of the spliced screen display is poor, with a clear dark frame edge at the border of the display screen. As shown in Figure 16 , there is no obvious dark frame around the edge of the spliced screen display, and the image quality of the edge of the spliced screen display is uniform, with the distribution density of scattered points in various locations in the display screen being the same. In other words, the design of the solutions of some embodiments of the present disclosure improves the phenomenon of poor image quality uniformity at the edge of the spliced screen display.
[0102] At least one embodiment of the present disclosure further provides a display device. For example, FIG17 is a block diagram of a display device provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG17 , the display device 40 includes a plurality of spliced screens 300 provided by any of the above embodiments, and the spliced screens 300 are formed by splicing together a plurality of display modules 200. The display device in the embodiments of the present disclosure can be any product or component with a display function, such as a monitor, an OLED panel, an OLED TV, electronic paper, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a laptop computer, a digital photo frame, or a navigation system.

This can reduce the shielding of light emitted from the backlight source by the middle frame while ensuring the strength and straightness of the middle frame, thereby avoiding the problem of dark frames and edge pixels being blocked and the dark area being aggravated due to the increase in the width of the edge of the spliced screen.
[0105] (2) In the display module provided by at least one embodiment of the present disclosure, the light-transmitting portion and the second supporting portion are integrally formed to form a structure having a gap filled with the light-shielding portion, which can increase the overall strength and stability of the middle frame. The light-shielding portion formed of metal aluminum is arranged to be wrapped in the light-transmitting portion, which can further increase the strength of the middle frame.
[0106] There are a few points to note:

[0108] (2) For the sake of clarity, in the drawings used to describe the embodiments of the present disclosure, the thickness of layers or regions is exaggerated or reduced, that is, these drawings are not drawn according to the actual scale.
