Abstract
Description
Bracket and battery module
[0001] This application claims priority to the Chinese patent application filed with the China Patent Office on June 16, 2023, with application number 202321539820.9. The entire contents of the above application are incorporated by reference into this application. Technical Field
[0002] The present application relates to the field of battery technology, and in particular to a bracket and a battery module. Background Art
[0003] In the related art, for the assembly of battery modules, it is usually necessary to first load multiple battery cells onto a positioning tool, and then place the multiple battery cells on a bracket through the positioning tool, so that the multiple battery cells are plugged into the multiple receiving grooves on the bracket one by one, and then inject structural glue between the receiving grooves and the battery cells. After the structural glue is cured, a structure in which the multiple battery cells and the bracket are relatively fixed is obtained.
[0004] However, during the assembly process, in order to avoid the relative position of the battery cell and the bracket from shifting when the structural adhesive is cured, the positioning tooling needs to be removed only after the structural adhesive is cured. This leads to low assembly efficiency of the battery module, low utilization efficiency of the tooling, and low degree of mass production. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The present application provides a bracket and a battery module to solve the above technical problems.
[0006] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a bracket for use with a battery module, the battery module including multiple battery cells, the bracket including a base and multiple positioning devices. The base has multiple accommodating slots, which are arranged in an array. The base has multiple mutually spaced arrangement areas surrounding the periphery of each accommodating slot, and multiple battery cells can be plugged into the multiple accommodating slots in a one-to-one correspondence. Multiple positioning devices are arranged in the multiple arrangement areas in a one-to-one correspondence, and the positioning devices include at least one elastic structure, each elastic structure capable of abutting the periphery of a corresponding battery cell.
[0007] In a second aspect, an embodiment of the present application provides a battery module, comprising a plurality of battery cells and the bracket as described above, wherein the plurality of battery cells are inserted into a plurality of accommodating grooves one by one, and the elastic structure abuts against the outer periphery of the corresponding battery cells. Beneficial effects
[0008] The beneficial effects of the present application are as follows: for the bracket provided by the present application, multiple setting areas are formed by spacing around the periphery of each accommodating groove, and multiple positioning devices are correspondingly arranged in the multiple setting areas, so that the periphery of any accommodating groove is surrounded by multiple positioning devices, and the elastic structure included in the positioning device abuts against the periphery of the corresponding battery cell, so that the multiple positioning devices can surround and abut the periphery of the battery cell installed on the bracket for positioning. Therefore, for the bracket, there is no need to use positioning tooling to position the battery cell, which can simplify the assembly steps of the battery module including the bracket and improve the assembly efficiency of the battery module.
[0009] The battery module provided by the present application has a bracket that can continuously position the battery cell through an elastic structure. Therefore, not only can the relative position of the battery cell and the bracket be kept stable during the curing process of the structural adhesive, thereby reducing the possibility of poor welding when the battery cell is welded to the battery cell connection structure included in the battery module, such as when welding with the CCS (Cells Contact System, integrated busbar), but the relative position of the battery cell and the bracket can be kept stable during the use of the battery module, so as to reduce the possibility of welding failure between the battery cell and the circuit included in the battery module due to shaking of the battery cell after the structural adhesive ages and the fixing effect on the battery cell deteriorates, thereby effectively extending the service life of the battery module. Modes for Carrying Out the Invention
[0022] In the description of this application, unless otherwise specified or limited, the terms "connected," "connect," and "fixed" should be understood in a broad sense. For example, they can refer to fixed connections, detachable connections, or integration; mechanical connections or electrical connections; direct connections or indirect connections through an intermediate medium; and can refer to internal communication between two components or interaction between two components. Those skilled in the art will understand the specific meanings of the above terms in this application based on the specific circumstances.
[0023] In this application, unless otherwise expressly specified or limited, a first feature being "above" or "below" a second feature may include the first and second features being in direct contact, or may include the first and second features being in contact not directly but through another feature between them. Moreover, a first feature being "above," "above," and "above" a second feature may include the first feature being directly above or obliquely above the second feature, or may simply mean that the first feature is higher in level than the second feature. A first feature being "below," "below," and "below" a second feature may include the first feature being directly below or obliquely below the second feature, or may simply mean that the first feature is lower in level than the second feature.
[0024] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, an embodiment of the present application provides a bracket 1 for use in a battery module comprising a plurality of battery cells. The bracket 1 comprises a base 10 and a plurality of positioning devices 2. The base 10 is provided with a plurality of accommodating slots 100, which are arranged in an array and spaced apart from each other. The base 10 has a plurality of spaced-apart setting areas 101 surrounding the periphery of each accommodating slot 100. The plurality of battery cells can be inserted into the plurality of accommodating slots 100 in a one-to-one correspondence. The plurality of positioning devices 2 are arranged in a one-to-one correspondence in the plurality of setting areas 101. The positioning devices 2 include an elastic structure 20, which can abut against the periphery of the corresponding battery cell.
[0025] By forming a plurality of setting areas 101 at intervals around the periphery of each receiving groove 100, a plurality of positioning devices 2 are arranged around the periphery of any receiving groove 100, and for a battery cell inserted in any receiving groove 100, the periphery of the battery cell can be surrounded by a plurality of elastic structures 20 in contact therewith, so that the elastic pressing force applied to the battery cell by the plurality of elastic structures 20 can be balanced, thereby positioning the battery cell in the center of the receiving groove 100. Therefore, for the bracket 1 provided in the embodiment of the present application, the battery cell can be directly loaded onto the bracket 1 without first loading the battery cell onto the positioning tool and then using the positioning tool to position the battery cell. This can simplify the assembly steps of the battery module including the bracket 1, improve the assembly efficiency of the battery module, and reduce the difficulty of mass production of the battery module.
[0026] For example, multiple battery cells can be fixed to the base 10 using structural adhesive. However, in related art, only one end of the battery cell is fixed to the base 10 using structural adhesive. During the subsequent manufacturing process and use of the battery module, the end of the battery cell facing away from the base 10 (i.e., the end of the battery cell used for electrical connection to the battery cell electrical connection structure included in the battery module) may still shake or deviate, resulting in low electrical connection yield or failure of the electrical connection between the battery cell and the battery cell electrical connection structure. However, the bracket 1 provided in the embodiment of the present application can continuously position the battery cell through the elastic structure 20. Therefore, on the one hand, the elastic structure 20 can keep the relative position of the battery cell and the bracket 1 stable during the curing process of the structural adhesive, thereby reducing the possibility of poor welding between the battery cell and the circuit included in the battery module (such as CCS) during subsequent welding; on the other hand, the elastic structure 20 can also keep the relative position of the battery cell and the bracket 1 stable during the use of the battery module, so as to reduce the possibility of welding failure of the electrical connection structure between the battery cell and the battery cell due to shaking of the battery cell after the structural adhesive ages and the fixing effect on the battery cell deteriorates, thereby effectively extending the service life of the battery module.
[0027] Optionally, multiple positioning devices 2 are evenly spaced around the same accommodating groove 100, so that multiple elastic structures 20 corresponding to the same accommodating groove 100 are also evenly spaced around the accommodating groove 100, so that when multiple elastic structures 20 abut against the corresponding same battery cell at the same time, the abutting effect of the multiple elastic structures 20 on the battery cell is more balanced, and it is easier to position the battery cell to align with the center of the accommodating groove 100.
[0028] Optionally, the battery cell may include, but is not limited to, a cylindrical battery cell or a rectangular battery cell. Correspondingly, the receiving groove 100 may be, but is not limited to, a circular groove or a square groove, as long as the receiving groove 100 is adapted to the outer shape of the battery cell and the battery cell can be inserted into the receiving groove 100. This embodiment is described as an example in which the battery cell is a cylindrical battery cell and the receiving groove 100 is a circular groove adapted to the outer shape of the battery cell.
[0029] Optionally, a portion of the setting area 101 is surrounded by multiple accommodating grooves 100 at intervals on the periphery. In other words, a portion of the accommodating grooves 100 can share one setting area 101, and a portion of the positioning device 2 is surrounded by multiple accommodating grooves 100 at intervals on the periphery. The positioning device 2 with multiple accommodating grooves 100 at intervals on the periphery can include multiple elastic structures 20, multiple elastic structures 20 are arranged in the setting area 101, and the multiple elastic structures 20 correspond one-to-one to the multiple accommodating grooves 100 adjacent to the positioning device 2, so that a portion of the accommodating grooves 100 share one positioning device 2, thereby reducing the number of positioning devices 2, making the structure of the bracket 1 more compact and the space utilization efficiency higher. As shown in Figure 3, for the convenience of explanation, Figure 3 shows a partial structure of the bracket 1, and Figure 3 exemplarily shows that the portion of the setting area 101 is surrounded by three accommodating grooves 100 at intervals on the periphery.
[0030] The outer periphery of another part of the setting area 101 (for example, the remaining setting area 101) among all the setting areas 101 has only one adjacent receiving groove 100. Optionally, the positioning device 2 corresponding to the remaining setting area 101 may also include multiple elastic structures 20. In other words, all positioning devices 2 can have the same structure to facilitate mass production of positioning devices 2. At the same time, there is no need to distinguish the structures of different positioning devices 2 during assembly, so as to reduce the difficulty of assembling the bracket 1. As shown in Figure 2, Figure 2 exemplarily shows that the remaining setting area 101 is the setting area 101 closest to the edge of the base 10, and the outer periphery of the remaining setting area 101 has only one adjacent receiving groove 100.
[0031] Optionally, the array arrangement of the accommodating slots 100 may include, but is not limited to, an array arrangement in which three accommodating slots 100 surround one arrangement area 101, an array arrangement in which four accommodating slots 100 surround one arrangement area 101, etc. The array arrangement in which three accommodating slots 100 surround one arrangement area 101 facilitates a more compact arrangement of the accommodating slots 100, allowing a larger number of battery cells to be mounted on a bracket 1 of the same size.
[0032] As shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 , optionally, the elastic structure 20 includes a mounting seat 201 and an elastic unit 200 . The mounting seat 201 is disposed in the setting area 101 , and the elastic unit 200 is disposed on the mounting seat 201 .
[0033] For example, there may be one elastic unit 200 .
[0034] As another example, there may be a plurality of elastic units 200, and the plurality of elastic units 200 are spaced apart in a direction perpendicular to the plane where the setting area 101 is located, so that the plurality of elastic units 200 can respectively abut against multiple positions along the length direction of the corresponding battery cell, thereby making the elastic structure 20 more stable in positioning the battery cell as a whole, especially being able to enhance the positioning effect of the end of the battery cell away from the base 10.
[0035] As shown in Figures 5, 6, and 8, the elastic unit 200 may optionally include a positioning head 200a and an elastic member 200b. The positioning head 200a is capable of abutting the outer periphery of the corresponding battery cell. The elastic member 200b is disposed between the mounting base 201 and the positioning head 200a, and the elastic member 200b is used to provide an elastic force to cause the positioning head 200a to abut the battery cell. The elastic member 200b may include, but is not limited to, a spring or a spring. Because the elastic member 200b has different postures when undergoing different degrees of elastic deformation, the positioning head 200a can abut the outer periphery of the battery cell, rather than directly abutting the elastic member 200b. This can make the positioning head 200a more stable in abutting the corresponding battery cell, thereby making the abutment effect of the elastic unit 200 on the battery cell more stable. When multiple elastic units 200 are provided, the abutting effects of the multiple elastic units 200 on the battery cells are more consistent, so that the multiple elastic structures 20 have a better positioning effect on the battery cells.
[0036] Optionally, the positioning head 200a can be made of a hard material, for example, the positioning head 200a can be made of steel, iron or other hard metal materials, or hard non-metallic materials, so that the deformation of the positioning head 200a when it abuts against the battery cell is reduced, and the abutment effect of the positioning head 200a on the battery cell can be more stable.
[0037] In order to increase the density of the battery cells in the battery module and make the structure of the battery module more compact, the setting area 101 is often smaller, and therefore the size of the positioning head 200a is also often smaller. Based on this, optionally, the positioning head 200a can be a spherical structure. In this way, the small-sized positioning head 200a is easy to manufacture, and the positioning head 200a does not need to be assembled in a specific posture, and the assembly difficulty of the positioning device 2 is relatively small. In addition, since the outer surface of the positioning head 200a is formed as a spherical surface, when the battery cell is loaded, the battery cell can easily abut against the outer surface of the positioning head 200a, so that the positioning head 200a moves toward the elastic member 200b, thereby avoiding the structure of the battery cell, so that the battery cell can be loaded between the multiple elastic structures 20.
[0038] Optionally, at least one positioning head 200a in the elastic structure 20 can abut against the outer periphery of the middle of the corresponding battery cell, so that the positioning effect of the elastic structure 20 on the battery cell acts at least on the middle of the battery cell, so that multiple elastic structures 20 can surround and abut against the middle of the battery cell, making the positioning effect of multiple positioning devices 2 on the battery cell more reasonable and effective.
[0039] Optionally, the mounting seat 201 has a first surface 201a facing the corresponding battery cell, and a mounting groove is provided on the first surface 201a, and the mounting groove forms a first opening 2010a on the first surface 201a; the positioning head 200a is partially located in the mounting groove, and the remaining part of the positioning head 200a extends from the first opening 2010a, and the elastic member 200b is arranged between the positioning head 200a and the mounting groove, so that the elastic unit 200 can be assembled, so that the elastic structure 20 becomes an integral structure, thereby making the elastic unit 200 less likely to fall off or decompose, and facilitating the overall transfer and installation of the elastic structure 20.
[0040] Optionally, the mounting seat 201 also has a second surface 201b facing away from the corresponding battery cell, and the mounting seat 201 is provided with a through mounting hole 2010, and the mounting hole 2010 forms a second opening 2010b on the second surface 201b. The elastic structure 20 may also include a sealing plate 202, and the sealing plate 202 covers the second opening 2010b to form the above-mentioned mounting groove. The positioning head 200a is partially located in the mounting hole 2010, and the remaining part of the positioning head 200a extends from the first opening 2010a. The elastic member 200b is arranged between the positioning head 200a and the sealing plate 202, so that the elastic unit 200 is assembled through the mounting seat 201 and the sealing plate 202, so that the elastic structure 20 becomes an integral structure, thereby making the elastic unit 200 less likely to fall off or decompose, and facilitating the overall transfer and installation of the elastic structure 20.
[0041] Optionally, the elastic member 200 b can abut against the wall of the mounting hole 2010 to prevent the positioning head 200 a from being separated from the mounting hole 2010 through the first opening 2010 a .
[0042] During the assembly process, the positioning head 200a can be first placed in the mounting hole 2010 through the second opening 2010b, and then the elastic member 200b can be placed in the mounting hole 2010 through the second opening 2010b, and one end of the elastic member 200b can be connected to the positioning head 200a. Finally, the other end of the elastic member 200b can be connected to the sealing plate 202, and the sealing plate 202 can be sealed on the second opening 2010b. Under the action of the elastic force of the elastic member 200b, the positioning head 200a abuts against the hole wall of the mounting hole 2010, and the positioning head 200a partially extends from the first opening 2010a so that it can abut against the corresponding battery cell.
[0043] When the elastic structure 20 includes a plurality of elastic units 200 as in the aforementioned technical solution, there may also be a plurality of mounting holes 2010, the plurality of mounting holes 2010 being arranged at intervals, and the plurality of elastic units 200 being respectively disposed in the plurality of mounting holes 2010. In this way, the plurality of mounting holes 2010 can be used to determine the respective positions of the plurality of elastic units 200, thereby ensuring a relatively stable relative positional relationship among the plurality of elastic units 200. Furthermore, the plurality of elastic units 200 can be separated to prevent interference between different elastic units 200.
[0044] As shown in Figures 6, 7 and 8, optionally, the positioning device 2 may also include a bearing seat 21, which is arranged in the setting area 101. The multiple elastic structures 20 included in the positioning device 2 are arranged on the bearing seat 21, so that the positioning device 2 can be assembled into an integral structure, which is convenient for moving, installing and replacing the positioning device 2 as a whole.
[0045] Optionally, a plurality of setting grooves 211 may be spaced apart on the outer periphery of the supporting seat 21, and the plurality of setting grooves 211 correspond one-to-one to the plurality of accommodating grooves 100 adjacent to the positioning device 2, and the plurality of elastic structures 20 are arranged one-to-one in the plurality of setting grooves 211, so that the elastic structure 20 is partially hidden in the setting groove 211 to protect the elastic structure 20 and make the structure of the positioning device 2 more compact.
[0046] When the elastic structure 20 further includes a mounting seat 201 and a sealing plate 202 as in the aforementioned technical solution, optionally, a plurality of mounting seats 201 can be arranged one-to-one in a plurality of setting grooves 211, and the second surface 201b of the mounting seat 201 faces the bottom of the setting groove 211, so that the positioning head 200a can extend from the setting groove 211 to abut against the corresponding battery cell.
[0047] Optionally, the mounting seat 201 may be snap-fitted into the setting groove 211 , so that the connection between the elastic structure 20 and the setting groove 211 is more stable, and the process of setting the elastic structure 20 in the setting groove 211 is simpler.
[0048] For example, a latching groove 2011 can be provided on the outer periphery of the mounting base 201, extending along the length of the mounting base 201. A long strip-shaped latching protrusion 211a is provided on the wall of the setting groove 211 corresponding to the latching groove 2011. During installation, the elastic structure 20 is pressed into the setting groove 211 so that the latching groove 2011 and the latching protrusion 211a are correspondingly engaged, thereby completing the installation of the elastic structure 20 in the setting groove 211. In other examples, a latching protrusion can also be provided on the outer periphery of the mounting base 201, and a latching groove that matches the latching protrusion can be provided on the wall of the setting groove 211 corresponding to the latching protrusion.
[0049] Optionally, the bearing seat 21 may further be provided with a weight-reducing groove 212 , which is spaced apart from the plurality of elastic structures 20 , thereby reducing the weight of the bearing seat 21 through the weight-reducing groove 212 , making the bracket 1 more lightweight.
[0050] Optionally, there may be multiple weight-reducing grooves 212 , which are spaced apart on the support base 21 to form structural ribs between adjacent weight-reducing grooves 212 , so that the structural strength of the support base 21 can meet the use requirements.
[0051] Optionally, the weight-reducing groove 212 may be communicated with the setting groove 211 , thereby facilitating the manufacture of the bearing seat 21 provided with the weight-reducing groove 212 and the setting groove 211 .
[0052] As shown in Figures 2, 6 and 7, optionally, the bracket 1 may also include a plurality of supports 11, and the plurality of supports 11 are arranged one-to-one in a plurality of setting areas 101. The bearing seat 21 can be detachably connected to the support 11 by connection methods including but not limited to compression connection, snap connection, threaded connection, magnetic connection, etc., so that when it is found that the positioning function of the positioning device 2 does not meet the requirements, it is convenient to disassemble and assemble the bearing seat 21 to replace the positioning device 2.
[0053] Optionally, a plurality of rod-shaped portions 112 may be provided at intervals on the side of the support 11 facing away from the base 10, and the bearing seat 21 may be provided with a plurality of slide grooves 210, and the plurality of slide grooves 210 are slidably connected to the plurality of rod-shaped portions 112 one by one, so that the bearing seat 21 can be set on or removed from the support 11 by plugging and unplugging from the side of the support 11 facing away from the base 10, and the disassembly and assembly method of the bearing seat 21 is simple and easy to operate.
[0054] Optionally, the rod-shaped portion 112 and the slide groove 210 can be interference fit so that the rod-shaped portion 112 is pressed tightly against the groove wall of the slide groove 210, so that during the use of the bracket 1, the supporting seat 21 is not easy to separate from the support 11, the structure of the bracket 1 is more stable, and the positioning effect of the elastic structure 20 on the battery cell is also more stable.
[0055] Optionally, the plurality of rod-shaped portions 112 may be evenly spaced around the corresponding supporting seat 21 , so that the limiting effect of the plurality of rod-shaped portions 112 on the supporting seat 21 is more balanced and reasonable.
[0056] Optionally, the slide groove 210 can be opened on the outer peripheral surface of the supporting seat 21, and any two adjacent rod-shaped portions 112 are formed with a third opening 111a. The multiple third openings 111a correspond one by one to the multiple accommodating grooves 100 adjacent to the support 11. When the slide groove 210 of the supporting seat 21 is inserted into the rod-shaped portion 112, the multiple elastic structures 20 are respectively provided in the multiple third openings 111a so as to be able to abut against the corresponding battery cells.
[0057] In other examples, the sliding groove 210 may also be opened on the end surface of the bearing seat 21 facing the support 11 , and the sliding groove 210 is located inside the bearing seat 21 .
[0058] As shown in Figures 9 and 10, an embodiment of the present application also provides a battery module 3, including multiple battery cells 30. The battery module 3 also includes a bracket 1 as provided in the aforementioned technical solution. The multiple battery cells 30 are inserted into multiple accommodating grooves 100 one by one, and the elastic structure 20 abuts against the outer periphery of the corresponding battery cells 30. By providing the bracket 1 provided in the aforementioned technical solution, the assembly steps of the battery module 3 can be simplified and the assembly efficiency of the battery module 3 can be improved, thereby reducing the difficulty of mass production of the battery module 3.
[0059] Optionally, the battery module 3 may also include a cell connection structure (not shown in the figure) electrically connected to the multiple battery cells 30, such as a CCS (Cells Contact System) integrated busbar. The cell connection structure is welded to the positive and negative electrodes of the multiple battery cells 30 to electrically connect the multiple battery cells 30 to the circuit.
