[0018] At present, the display devices on the market configure a set of fixed picture quality parameters for the game devices in game mode, and the display devices display the game screen based on these fixed picture quality parameters. However, game development is moving towards multiple game scenarios, and users' requirements for game experience are getting higher and higher. The existing game screen effects displayed based on fixed picture quality parameters are difficult to adapt to a wide variety of game scenarios, affecting the user experience in multiple game scenarios. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a display device that can automatically update the game screen effects to adapt to multiple game scenarios.
[0019] FIG1 is a schematic diagram of a scene in some embodiments according to some embodiments. As shown in FIG1 , a user can operate a display device 200 through a gaming device 300 or a control apparatus 100 to display a game screen on the display device 200 .
[0020] In the scenario shown in FIG1 , taking the example of a user operating a display device 200 via a gaming device 300, the gaming device 300 can be connected to the display device 200 via a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). In response to receiving an input signal from the gaming device 300, the display device 200 identifies a first signal type of the input signal and determines a game image quality parameter corresponding to the first signal type. The display device 200 then obtains a first game interaction mode and determines an image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type. The target image quality parameter is then calculated based on the game image quality parameter corresponding to the first signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode, thereby controlling the display to display the game screen according to the target image quality parameter. The disclosed embodiment calculates the target image quality parameter for displaying the game screen based on the game image quality parameter corresponding to the gaming device and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the game interaction mode. This eliminates the need for fixed image quality parameters to be used. Instead, the game image quality can be adjusted and offset based on the game interaction mode, thereby adapting to various game interaction modes in multiple game scenarios. This makes the game screen image quality more diverse, improves the scene adaptability of the game image quality, and enhances the user's gaming experience.

[0022] In some embodiments, the game device 300 can be a game controller, an electronic game console (PlayStation or xbox), etc., and the present disclosure is not limited to this. The game device 300 can install software applications with the display device 200, and realize connection communication through a network communication protocol to achieve the purpose of one-to-one control operation and data communication. [0031] In some embodiments, the processor obtains the first game interaction mode and determines the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type, and is specifically configured as follows: in response to a selection instruction received from a user input, the selection instruction is used to indicate the first game interaction mode selected by the user; the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode is read from a second database, and the second database is used to store different image quality parameter offsets corresponding to different game interaction modes.
[0032] In some embodiments, at least one processor is specifically configured to execute computer instructions so that the display device obtains the first game interaction mode and determines the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type by performing the following: identifying the game scene, determining the first game interaction mode corresponding to the game scene, the first game interaction mode being any one of the standard mode, first-person shooter mode, role-playing mode, real-time strategy mode and sports mode; reading the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode from a second database, the second database being used to store different image quality parameter offsets corresponding to different game interaction modes.
[0033] In some embodiments, at least one processor is further configured to execute computer instructions to cause the display device to perform: upon receiving a switching signal, where the switching signal indicates that a gaming device connected to the display device has switched, identifying a second signal type corresponding to the switching signal; if the second signal type is different from the first signal type, obtaining historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type, where the historical image quality parameters are image quality parameters of the first game interaction mode under the second signal type stored historically; and controlling the display to update the image quality of the game screen according to the historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type.

[0035] In some embodiments, the first signal type of the input signal includes: high dynamic range type, standard dynamic range type and Dolby type; the first game interaction mode includes: standard mode, first-person shooter mode, role-playing mode, real-time strategy mode, sports mode and automatic mode; wherein, different first game interaction modes under different first signal types correspond to different image quality parameter offsets.
[0036] As shown in FIG4 , FIG4 is a schematic diagram of the software configuration of a display device 200 according to some embodiments. As shown in FIG4 , the system is divided into four layers, namely, from top to bottom, the application layer (hereinafter referred to as the "application layer"), the application framework layer (hereinafter referred to as the "framework layer"), the Android runtime and system library layer (hereinafter referred to as the "system runtime library layer"), and the kernel layer. The kernel layer includes at least one of the following drivers: audio driver, display driver, Bluetooth driver, camera driver, WIFI driver, USB (Universal Serial Bus) driver, HDMI driver, sensor driver (such as fingerprint sensor, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, etc.), and power driver, etc.
[0037] In order to illustrate this solution in more detail, the following will be explained in an exemplary manner in conjunction with Figure 5. It can be understood that the steps involved in Figure 5 may include more steps or fewer steps in actual implementation, and the order of these steps may also be different, so as to be able to implement the game image quality control method provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure.
[0038] As shown in FIG5 , FIG5 is a flow chart of a method for controlling game image quality according to some embodiments, the method comprising the following steps S501 to S504:
[0039] S501: In response to a received input signal from a gaming device, identify a first signal type of the input signal and determine a game image quality parameter corresponding to the first signal type.
[0040] In some embodiments, the display device and the gaming device are connected via HDMI. The input signal of the gaming device may be an HDMI signal. The first signal type of the input signal includes, but is not limited to, High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDR), Standard Dynamic Range (SDR), and Dolby type (DOLBY). Different first signal types correspond to different game image quality parameters. As shown in Table 1:
[0041] Table 1
[0042] Table 1 is only an example. The display device can store Table 1 in the first database in advance to store the correspondence between the first signal type and the game image quality parameters. It can be understood that the first database is used to store different game image quality parameters corresponding to different signal types. It should be noted that the different game image quality parameters corresponding to different signal types can be stored in the first database of the display device according to different data types such as lists (such as Table 1) and sets, and the data in the first database are not fixed, but support operations such as addition, deletion, and modification to configure, manage, and maintain the data.
[0043] Among them, the game image quality parameters include but are not limited to at least one of the following: backlight parameters, image brightness, contrast, color, and clarity.
[0044] In some embodiments, in response to an input signal from a gaming device, a first signal type of the input signal is identified, and then game image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type are read from a first database, thereby being able to distinguish gaming devices of different signal types connected to the display device, and then controlling the game image quality in a targeted manner, thereby achieving different game image quality effects for different gaming devices.
[0045] In some embodiments, as shown in FIG6 , FIG6 is a schematic diagram of a setting interface of a display device according to some embodiments. When a gaming device is connected to a display device, in response to an input signal received from the gaming device, the input signal indicates that the image mode of the display device is switched to gaming mode, indicating that the user desires to display the game through the display device. Then, a setting interface 600 as shown in FIG6 is displayed. In the setting interface 600, an image mode control 601 displays that the current image mode is gaming mode, and a game interaction mode control 602 (also referred to as a game type control) is shown. Other controls are also displayed in the above-mentioned setting interface 600, such as a low-latency setting control, an adaptive frame rate switch, a dark field detail enhancement switch, a sound output device control, a high frame rate mode switch, a frame rate floating window switch, etc., which are not limited by the present disclosure. As shown in FIG6 , each control in the setting interface has an adjustable parameter value. Taking the adaptive frame rate switch as an example, its parameter value includes on and off. However, when the parameter value is set to on, it means that the adaptive function of the frame rate is turned on, and when the parameter value is set to off, it means that the adaptive function of the frame rate is turned off.
[0046] In some embodiments, in response to the input signal received from the gaming device, after identifying the first signal type of the input signal, the display is controlled to display the identified first signal type in the setting interface. As shown in Figure 7, Figure 7 is a second schematic diagram of the setting interface of the display device according to some embodiments. The image mode control 601 in the setting interface 600 shown can display the game mode -HDR to show the user that the display device has switched to the game mode under HDR. The display of other controls in the setting interface 600 shown in Figure 7 is the same as that shown in Figure 6, and will not be repeated in this disclosure. The parameter values of each control in the setting interface shown in Figures 6 and 7 are merely exemplary and do not constitute a limitation on the configuration of image quality parameters under a specific content type.
[0047] S502: Acquire a first game interaction mode, and determine an image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under a first signal type.
[0048] In some embodiments, the first game interaction mode includes but is not limited to: standard mode, first-person shooting game (FPS), role-playing game (RPG), real-time strategy game (RTS), sports mode and automatic mode.
[0049] Among them, FPS is a shooting game played from the player's subjective perspective; RPG is a game where the player takes on the role of a character in a realistic or fictional world; and RTS is a real-time strategy game. Automatic mode can intelligently switch to other game interaction modes based on the game screen.
[0050] The disclosed embodiment supports users to select the first game interaction mode by themselves, and also supports the display device to automatically identify the game scene to determine the first game interaction mode. Optionally, the acquisition method of the first game interaction mode is identified by reading the automatic mode flag (AutoFlag). When AutoFlag = 0, it means that the first game interaction mode is obtained by the user operating in the setting interface; when AutoFlag = 1, it means that the first game interaction mode is obtained by identifying the game scene. It can be understood that by reading AutoFlag, it is determined whether the automatic mode is turned on. If AutoFlag = 0, the automatic mode is turned off, and the first game interaction mode selected by the user is obtained; if AutoFlag = 1, the automatic mode is turned on, and the game scene is identified to determine the first game interaction mode.
[0051] In some embodiments, in response to receiving a selection instruction input by a user, the selection instruction indicating the user selecting a first game interaction mode, determining the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type. It is understandable that when AutoFlag = 0, the user input is detected to determine the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type when the user selects the first game interaction mode.
[0052] The image quality parameter offsets corresponding to the first game interaction mode are set by the image quality engineer based on the standard mode. The image quality parameter offsets corresponding to the first game interaction mode include, but are not limited to, backlight offset, image brightness offset, contrast offset, chroma offset, and clarity offset. For example, the image quality parameter offsets corresponding to the standard mode are all 0.
[0053] Different first game interaction modes correspond to different image quality parameter offsets, specifically, the numerical values of the image quality parameter offsets are different. It should be emphasized that the image quality parameter offsets corresponding to the same first game interaction mode under different first signal types are different, as shown in Table 2:
[0054] Table 2
[0055] Table 2 is only for illustrative purposes. The display device may store Table 2 in a second database in advance to store the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type. It can be understood that the second database is used to store different image quality parameter offsets corresponding to different game interaction modes.
[0056] In the above embodiment, in response to receiving a selection instruction input by the user, the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode is read from the second database.
[0057] For example, if the selection instruction input by the user indicates that the first game interaction mode selected by the user is FPS, assuming that the first signal type determined according to step S501 is HDR, the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode (FPS) under the first signal type (HDR) read from the second database is a 2.
[0058] In some embodiments, the game scene is identified, the first game interaction mode corresponding to the game scene is determined, and then the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode is read from the second database. It can be understood that when AutoFlag=1 automatic mode is turned on, the user operates the display device to enter the game screen. At this time, the game screen is displayed in the standard mode by default. The display device can identify the game scene of the currently displayed game screen to determine the first game interaction mode corresponding to the game scene, and then determine the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type. Automatic control of the image quality of the game screen is achieved, and the user experience is improved.
[0059] In the process of identifying the game scene, the game content (including but not limited to text content describing the game) can be obtained and analyzed to determine the game scene, or image recognition can be performed on the game screen currently displayed on the monitor to identify and determine the game scene of the game screen through deep learning algorithms, artificial intelligence models, etc.
[0060] S503: Calculate target image quality parameters according to the game image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode.
[0061] In some embodiments, referring to Table 1 and Table 2 above, assuming that the first signal type is HDR and the first game interaction mode is FPS, the game image quality parameter corresponding to the first signal type is A, and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode is a2. The target image quality parameter is calculated to be A+a2.
[0062] S504: Control the display to display the game image according to the target image quality parameters.
[0063] In some embodiments, the game image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode are superimposed to obtain target image quality parameters, and the game screen is then displayed according to the target image quality parameters. This generates different target image quality parameters for different gaming devices and different first game interaction modes, eliminating the need for fixed image quality parameters for game screen display, thereby improving image quality.
[0064] In some embodiments, when a display device receives a switching signal indicating that a gaming device connected to the display device has switched, the display device identifies a second signal type corresponding to the switching signal and then compares the second signal type with the first signal type. If the second signal type is the same as the first signal type, the game screen is still displayed according to the target image quality parameters. If the second signal type is different from the first signal type, the display device obtains historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type, which are historically stored image quality parameters for the first game interaction mode under the second signal type. Furthermore, the display device is controlled to update the image quality of the game screen according to the historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type.
[0065] The historical image quality parameters are historically stored and are calculated based on the game image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the second signal type.
[0066] For example, as shown in Figure 8, Figure 8 is a schematic diagram of gaming device switching according to some embodiments. The figure shows that the external access device of the display device 200 is switched from the first gaming device 801 shown in Figure 8 (a) to the second gaming device 802 shown in Figure 8 (b). The signal type of the first gaming device 801 is different from the signal type of the second gaming device 802. For example, the first gaming device 801 is SDR and the second gaming device 802 is HDR. Then, the historical image quality parameters corresponding to HDR are obtained, so that the game screen displayed according to the target image quality parameters corresponding to SDR is updated to the game screen displayed according to the historical image quality parameters corresponding to HDR.
[0067] In the above embodiment, when the gaming device connected to the display device is switched, the signal type is compared to see whether it has changed. If so, it indicates that the image quality parameters of the game screen need to be updated, and the historical image quality parameters corresponding to the changed second signal type are called, thereby quickly responding to the switching of the connected device to achieve a follow-up update of the game image quality, thereby improving the efficiency of the game image quality update and enhancing the user experience.
[0068] In the above embodiment, when the second signal type is different from the first signal type, it is determined whether the game interaction mode has changed. Alternatively, the game interaction mode may be determined by detecting a user input command or by identifying a game scene.
[0069] When no user instruction to switch the game interaction mode is detected or a user input instruction to maintain the first interaction mode is detected, or when it is identified that the game scene has not changed, historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type are obtained, and the historical image quality parameters are the image quality parameters of the first game interaction mode under the second signal type stored historically. Further, the display is controlled to update the target image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type to the historical image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type.
[0070] When the detected user input instruction indicates switching from the first game interaction mode to the second game interaction mode, or when the game scene change is identified to determine switching from the first game interaction mode to the second game interaction mode, the game image quality parameters corresponding to the second signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the second game interaction mode under the second signal type are obtained, and then new image quality parameters are calculated based on the game image quality parameters and the image quality parameter offset to control the display to update the target image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type to the new image quality parameters, so as to adapt to the situation where the access device is switched and the game interaction mode changes, thereby improving the scene adaptability and flexibility of the image quality update.
[0071] Next, as shown in Figure 9, Figure 9 is a second schematic diagram of game device switching according to some embodiments, which shows that the external access device of the display device 200 is switched from the first game device 801 shown in Figure 8 (a) to the second game device 802 shown in Figure 8 (b). Assuming that the signal type of the first game device 801 is SDR, the signal type of the second game device 802 is HDR, and the game interaction mode is switched from the first game interaction mode, such as FPS, to the second game interaction mode, such as RPG, the game screen is updated from being displayed according to the target image quality parameters (B+b2) corresponding to SDR and FPS to being displayed according to the new image quality parameters (A+a3) corresponding to HDR and RPG.
[0072] In some embodiments, after the display device controls the display to display the game screen according to the target image quality parameters, it can also continue to monitor user input, and optionally monitor the user's voice input, to facilitate the update of the game screen quality. The disclosed embodiment provides an implementation method, in response to a received voice input indicating a switch to a second game interaction mode, obtaining the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the second game interaction mode under the first signal type, and then calculating the image quality parameter to be switched based on the game image quality parameter corresponding to the first signal type obtained in step S501 and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the second game interaction mode under the first signal type, and further controlling the display to update the image quality of the currently displayed game screen according to the image quality parameter to be switched.
[0073] To facilitate understanding of the above process, the following is shown in Figure 10. Figure 10 is a schematic diagram of a voice input according to some embodiments. As shown in Figure 10, it is difficult for the user to manually control the update of the game picture quality when operating the game controller 1001 with both hands. Based on this, the display device 200 provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure receives the user's voice input. For example, if the content of the voice input is "switch to RPG", the picture quality offset corresponding to RPG under the first signal type is obtained, and then the picture quality parameters to be switched are calculated in combination with the game picture quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type, and the game screen is updated from being displayed according to the target picture quality parameters to being displayed according to the picture quality parameters to be switched.
[0074] The above embodiment can update the image quality of the game screen by voice control while the user is operating the game device with both hands, thereby improving the human-computer interaction performance and enhancing the user's gaming experience.
[0075] In summary, the embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for controlling game image quality. The method first responds to the input signal received from the game device, identifies the first signal type of the input signal, determines the game image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type, then obtains the first game interaction mode, determines the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode under the first signal type, and then calculates the target image quality parameters according to the game image quality parameters corresponding to the first signal type and the image quality parameter offset corresponding to the first game interaction mode, so as to control the display of the display device to display the game screen according to the target image quality parameters.
