[0038] As mentioned above, commercial vehicle chassis frames typically utilize bilateral longitudinal beams, with multiple crossbeams welded or bolted between them. The placement of these crossbeams in the center of the frame results in wasted space and increased chassis weight. Furthermore, the connection between the frame and the cargo box is complex, requiring numerous parts and making assembly difficult.
[0039] In view of this, the present application provides a box beam type frame body, a frame assembly and a vehicle.
[0040] The box beam frame body, frame assembly and vehicle of the present application are described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the absence of conflict, the features of the following embodiments and implementations can be combined with each other.
[0041] Referring to Figures 1 to 2 and Figure 11, an embodiment of the present application provides a box beam frame body, which can be applied to vehicles such as automobiles and ships. For example, the frame body can be applied to commercial vehicles such as new energy vehicles or fuel vehicles, and commercial vehicles can include cargo vehicles, trucks, semi-trailer tractors, flatbed trailers, trucks (for example, heavy trucks, light trucks) and other vehicles. The box beam frame body is an integrally formed profile structure, which can include a plurality of longitudinal box beams 10, a box beam plate 40 and a cargo box bottom plate 20. The "integrally formed profile structure" here is a profile structure prepared using a process similar to the profile integral forming process. Among them, the box beam plate 40 is located below the cargo box bottom plate 20 and is arranged parallel to the cargo box bottom plate 20. The longitudinal box beam 10 is connected and arranged between the cargo box bottom plate 20 and the box beam plate 40. A plurality of hollow cavities 30 are enclosed and formed between the longitudinal box girder 10, the box girder plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20. The plurality of hollow cavities 30 extend through the vehicle frame body along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and are used to accommodate vehicle-borne components. In other words, a plurality of hollow cavities 30 for accommodating vehicle-borne components are defined between the longitudinal box girder 10, the box girder plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20. The hollow cavities 30 are surrounded by the longitudinal box girder 10, the box girder plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20. Optionally, the plurality of hollow cavities 30 are arranged along the transverse direction Y of the vehicle, and the transverse direction Y of the vehicle is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X of the hollow cavities 30. It is understood that the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The longitudinal direction X of the longitudinal box girder 10, the cargo box floor 20, and the hollow cavities 30 are all consistent with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The number of hollow cavities 30 can be at least three.
[0042] The box-beam frame of this application utilizes a highly integrated structure by integrating the longitudinal box beam 10, the box beam plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20. This eliminates the need for a separate crossbeam in the center of the frame structure, effectively reducing frame weight and meeting lightweight design requirements. The frame can be assembled directly without crossbeams or bolts, making installation faster and more efficient. The cargo box can be directly mounted on the cargo box floor 20 by assembling it with the side panels, eliminating the difficulty and complexity of assembling the frame and cargo box. The hollow cavity 30 can be used to accommodate on-board components such as power batteries, effectively utilizing the space available in the frame structure. It should be noted that the on-board components can include high-capacity power batteries, large-volume liquid fuel tanks, gas tanks, fuel tanks, batteries, engines, transmissions, electronic control device enclosures, and other functional device enclosures, though this application does not limit these.
[0043] In some optional embodiments, the box-beam frame body may further include encapsulation plates that cover the longitudinal ends of the hollow cavity 30 to enclose the hollow cavity 30. This encapsulation plate seals the hollow cavity 30, where the power battery and other on-board components are placed, thereby improving the concealment and sealing of the on-board components. Optionally, the encapsulation plate is an aluminum plate that is welded (e.g., tailor-welded) to the integrally formed structure formed by the longitudinal box beam 10, the box beam plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20.
[0044] In some optional embodiments, the longitudinal box girder 10, the box girder plate 40 and the cargo box bottom plate 20 are all made of aluminum alloy, and the box girder plate 40, the longitudinal box girder 10 and the cargo box bottom plate 20 are an extruded one-piece structure, that is, the aluminum alloy material is forcibly extruded through an extrusion molding process so that it is formed through a hole die, so that the longitudinal box girder 10, the box girder plate 40 and the cargo box bottom plate 20 are formed into an one-piece structure.
[0045] In this way, the longitudinal box beam 10, the box beam plate 40, and the cargo box floor 20 are formed into an integral structure using an aluminum alloy extrusion molding process. The hollow cavity formed by the extruded integral aluminum alloy wall and the welded aluminum plate has a large cavity space and can be used as a battery cell for a power battery or a fuel tank for a liquid fuel such as methanol. This is equivalent to integrating the longitudinal box beam, the box beam plate, the cargo box floor, the power battery, or the liquid fuel tank into one. There is no need to connect the power battery box or the liquid fuel tank to the vehicle frame through an additional bracket, which effectively solves the problem of space waste caused by battery installation / fuel tank installation. The inner wall of the hollow cavity can serve as the outer shell of the vehicle's liquid fuel tank or power battery, thus integrating the longitudinal box beam, the box beam plate, the cargo box floor, the liquid fuel tank, or the outer shell of the power battery into one. Aluminum alloy materials have the advantages of being recyclable and reusable. The large-scale use and high integration of aluminum alloy materials, as well as the high integration of the vehicle frame, effectively reduce the weight of the vehicle frame. At the same time, it can meet the requirements for arranging large-capacity power batteries and large-volume liquid fuel tanks, reducing the installation of power batteries, liquid fuel tanks, and cargo boxes, solving the problem of complex vehicle assembly, optimizing layout space, simplifying the production and assembly processes of parts such as the frame and cargo box, and reducing costs. Furthermore, it can meet the needs of lightweighting commercial vehicle frames, reducing market competitive costs, improving production efficiency, and achieving carbon neutrality.
[0046] In some optional embodiments, the transverse cross-sections of at least two hollow cavities 30 are symmetrically arranged along the vehicle's transverse direction Y. This balances the forces on both sides of the frame and improves frame stability. Alternatively, the plurality of longitudinal box beams 10 are symmetrically arranged along the vehicle's transverse direction Y relative to the centerline of the cargo box floor 20, thereby ensuring that the transverse cross-sections of the at least two hollow cavities 30 are symmetrically arranged along the vehicle's transverse direction Y.
[0047] As shown in Figure 2, in some optional embodiments, the cargo box floor 20 also includes a connecting side beam 21, which protrudes from the cargo box floor 20 and is used to connect and secure the cargo box or the side panels of the cargo box. Optionally, there are two connecting side beams 21, arranged on both sides of the upper surface of the cargo box floor 20 along the vehicle transverse direction Y. It is understood that the longitudinal box beam 10, the cargo box floor 20, the box beam plate 40, and the two connecting side beams 21 are all made of aluminum alloy and formed into an integral structure through an extrusion molding process. In this way, the box beam type frame body of the present application can be directly installed on the cargo box floor 20, and can be directly assembled with the side panels of the cargo box by connecting the side beams 21, thereby solving the problem of difficult and complicated assembly of the frame and the cargo box. Optionally, the connecting side beam 21 is provided with a mounting portion for mounting the cargo box. For example, the mounting portion can be a structure such as a screw hole, a mounting slot, etc. for mounting with the side panels of the cargo box. In this way, the cargo box can be directly installed on the connecting side beams on both sides of the upper surface of the base plate, and assembled with the base plate by bolt connection or push-in clamping.
[0048] In some optional embodiments, along the transverse direction Y of the vehicle perpendicular to the length direction X of the hollow cavity 30, the thickness of the cargo box floor 20 gradually decreases from the middle to the two sides. The bottom edge of the cross section of the cargo box floor 20 perpendicular to the length direction X of the hollow cavity 30 is arc-shaped and concave toward the interior of the hollow cavity 30. It can be understood that the cargo box floor 20 forms an isostress beam with a cross section that is thick in the middle and thin at both ends, and has a large load-bearing capacity. Furthermore, the cargo box floor 20 can also be provided with a plurality of reinforcing ribs to enhance the strength and rigidity of the cargo box floor 20, as shown in FIG2 . FIG11 shows another arrangement of the reinforcing ribs. As shown in FIG11 , each longitudinal box beam is provided with a plurality of intersecting longitudinal reinforcing ribs, so that the longitudinal box beam is more reasonably stressed, has better stress strength, and saves more materials. The wall thickness of the longitudinal box beam 10 can be set to a larger size to improve the load-bearing capacity. Reinforcing ribs may also be added to the longitudinal box beam 10 to serve as the main load-bearing component and installation base. This is more conducive to installing the vehicle's suspension brackets, cab suspension, other device brackets and other structures on both sides of the longitudinal box beam 10.
[0049] In some optional embodiments, at least one of the longitudinal box beam 10 and the cargo box floor 20 comprises a porous profile. It is understood that at least one of the longitudinal box beam 10 and the cargo box floor 20 can be extruded to form a corrugated board structure to enhance and improve the strength and rigidity of the vehicle frame. The inner corners of at least one of the longitudinal box beam 10 and the cargo box floor 20 can be extruded to form cavities. Extruding small cavities in the inner corners of the integrally extruded aluminum alloy frame can significantly enhance the frame's bending resistance.
[0050] The inner wall of the hollow cavity 30 may be provided with a guide groove. It is understood that a groove may be provided on the inner wall of the box beam plate 40 corresponding to the bottom wall of the hollow cavity 30. In this way, components such as the power battery can be pushed inwardly into the hollow cavity through the guide groove for assembly, and then sealed by the packaging plate.
[0051] In some optional embodiments, the cross section of the hollow cavity 30 perpendicular to the length direction X may be quadrilateral. It is understood that the quadrilateral structure has better stress resistance and higher structural strength, which can improve the overall strength of the frame.
[0052] As shown in Figure 3, optionally, each longitudinal box beam 10 can be tilted relative to the cargo box floor 20, so that the overall shape of the cross section of at least one hollow cavity 30 perpendicular to the length direction X can be trapezoidal. For example, in this embodiment, the longitudinal box beams 10 located on the outermost sides are tilted relative to the cargo box floor 20 and symmetrically arranged with each other, so that the overall shape of the cross section of the multiple hollow cavities 30 can be trapezoidal. Optionally, the length of the upper base of the trapezoid is greater than the length of the lower base, so that the overall shape of the cross section of the multiple hollow cavities 30 is an inverted trapezoid. It can be understood that the inverted trapezoidal structure has more uniform force on both sides, the upper surface has a stronger load-bearing capacity, and the structural strength is higher, thereby improving the overall strength of the frame.
[0053] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 4 , the cross-section of the longitudinal box beam 10 can be curved. For example, in this embodiment, the cross-sections of the outermost longitudinal box beams 10 are curved and recessed toward the interior of the hollow cavity 30. As will be appreciated, the curved sides provide more uniform stress distribution on both sides, resulting in higher structural strength, which can also improve the overall strength of the vehicle frame. Furthermore, the curved sides are more easily extruded and formed.
[0054] As shown in FIG5 , another embodiment of the present application further provides a vehicle frame assembly 100. Frame assembly 100 is formed by partially cutting the front and rear sections of the box-beam frame body described in the aforementioned embodiments and implementations. Frame assembly 100 includes a mid-section frame 101, which is formed from the uncut portion of the box-beam frame body. It will be appreciated that frame assembly 100 of this embodiment is formed by partially cutting the box-beam frame body.
[0055] Optionally, the vehicle frame assembly 100 further includes a front frame section 102, which is formed by removing the cargo box floor 20 from the front section of the vehicle frame body, and partially removing the box beam plate 40 and longitudinal box beam 10 from the front section of the vehicle frame body. It is understood that, based on the aforementioned box beam type vehicle frame body, the portion of the cargo box floor 20 corresponding to the front section of the vehicle frame body is completely removed, and the portions of the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 corresponding to the front section of the vehicle frame body and located on both sides are removed, leaving the portions of the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 corresponding to the front section of the vehicle frame body and located in the middle area. The front frame section 102 can serve as the front box beam 50 for mounting the cab, and the front box beam 50 can be understood to be composed of the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 that remain from the front section of the vehicle frame body. A first hollow cavity 51 is formed on the front box beam 50 for accommodating vehicle components. The first hollow cavity 51 can be understood as being formed by the longitudinal box beam 10 and the box beam plate 40 retained at the front section of the corresponding frame body.
[0056] The vehicle frame assembly 100 also includes a rear frame section 103, formed by partially removing the box beam plate 40 and longitudinal box beam 10 from the rear section of the vehicle frame. It will be appreciated that, based on the aforementioned box beam vehicle frame, the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 portions corresponding to the rear section of the frame body and located on both sides are removed, leaving the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 portions corresponding to the rear section of the frame body and located in the middle area. The removed portions of the longitudinal box beam 10 and box beam plate 40 can be used to install wheels.
[0057] As shown in FIG6 , an embodiment of the present application further provides a vehicle frame assembly 200 comprising a front frame 202, a middle frame 201, and a rear frame 203, which are sequentially connected. The front frame 202 is an integrally formed, profile-like structure and includes a front box beam 50. The middle frame 201 is formed from the box beam-type frame body described in the above-mentioned embodiments and implementations. The rear frame 203 is an integrally formed, profile-like structure and includes a rear box beam 60. It will be understood that the vehicle frame assembly 200 of this embodiment is comprised of multiple individually formed structures, assembled into a single unit through connection methods such as snap-fitting, bonding, and riveting.
[0058] Optionally, the front box beam 50 is longitudinally connected to the front end of the longitudinal box beam 10 and the box beam plate 40 in the middle region of the mid-section frame 201 via connectors. The rear box beam 60 is longitudinally connected to the rear end of the longitudinal box beam 10 and the box beam plate 40 in the middle region of the mid-section frame 201 via connectors. In this manner, the front box beam 50 can be used to mount the cab. A first hollow cavity 51 is formed in the front box beam 50 for accommodating vehicle components. The first hollow cavity 51 can communicate with one of the hollow cavities 30 in the mid-section frame 201. The areas on both sides of the rear box beam 60 can be used to mount wheels.
[0059] Furthermore, the rear frame 203 includes a sub-cargo box floor 70, which forms an integrally formed profile with the rear box beam 60. The sub-cargo box floor 70 is longitudinally connected to the rear end of the cargo box floor 20 of the mid-frame 201 via connectors, thereby forming a single unit with the cargo box floor 20. Optionally, the rear box beam 60 is positioned below the sub-cargo box floor 70, and the rear box beam 60 and sub-cargo box floor 70 enclose a second hollow cavity 31 for accommodating onboard components.
[0060] As shown in Figure 7, in some optional embodiments, the rear box beam 60 includes a bottom side beam 61 and two side beams 62, and the two side beams 62 are respectively located on both sides of the bottom side beam 61 along the transverse direction Y. The bottom side beam 61 is located below the sub-cargo box bottom plate 70, and one end of the side beam 62 is connected to the bottom side beam 61, and the other end is connected to the sub-cargo box bottom plate 70. In this way, the bottom side beam 61, the two side beams 62 and the sub-cargo box bottom plate 70 enclose and form a second hollow cavity 31. It is understandable that the bottom side beam 61, the two side beams 62 and the sub-cargo box bottom plate 70 are all made of aluminum alloy and are formed into an integrally formed structure through an extrusion process. Optionally, the cross-section of the second hollow cavity 31 perpendicular to the length direction X is a quadrilateral. It is understandable that the quadrilateral structure has better stress resistance and higher structural strength, which can improve the overall strength of the frame. Optionally, the thickness of the side beams 62 is greater than the thickness of the bottom beam 61 , which can improve the load-bearing capacity of both sides of the rear section frame 203 .
[0061] Alternatively, the cross-section of the second hollow cavity 31 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X can be trapezoidal. The two side beams 62 are symmetrically disposed on either side of the bottom beam 61 along the transverse direction Y. The length of the upper base of the cross-section is greater than the length of the lower base of the cross-section, resulting in the cross-section of the second hollow cavity 31 being an inverted trapezoid. It will be appreciated that the inverted trapezoidal structure provides more uniform force distribution on both sides, a greater load-bearing capacity on the upper surface, and greater structural strength, thereby improving the overall strength of the frame.
[0062] Furthermore, the cross-sections of the two side beams 62 perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X are arc-shaped and recessed toward the interior of the second hollow cavity 31. It is understood that the arc-shaped side structure provides more uniform force on both sides, resulting in higher structural strength, which can also improve the overall strength of the frame. Furthermore, the arc-shaped side structure is more convenient for extrusion processing.
[0063] It is understood that the main cross-section of the vehicle frame assembly of the present application can be divided into two parts: a lower beam portion and an upper floor portion. Depending on the size requirements of different equipment, the main cross-section can be extruded as a single piece and then cut through a cutting process, as shown in the example of Figure 5. The main cross-section can also be extruded in several sections and then assembled into a whole through connection methods such as snap-fitting, bonding, riveting, etc., as shown in the example of Figure 6.
[0064] Referring to Figures 1 and 8 to 10, an embodiment of the present application provides a vehicle 400, which may include a frame assembly 100 or 200 as shown in Figure 5 or Figure 6. The vehicle 400 may also include a cab 43, a cargo box 41, and a power unit 42. It is understood that the length direction X of the hollow cavity 30 is consistent with the length direction of the vehicle 400. The power unit 42 is installed in the hollow cavity 30 of the frame assembly, the cargo box 41 is installed on the cargo box floor, and the cab 43 is installed on the front box beam 50 of the front section frame. Optionally, the power unit 42 may include at least one of a power battery and a fuel tank. Furthermore, the power battery includes a battery cell, and the inner wall of the hollow cavity 30 surrounding the battery cell can serve as the outer shell of the power battery. It is understood that the hollow cavity can serve as the outer shell of the vehicle's power battery (or liquid fuel tank), thereby integrating the longitudinal box beam, box beam plate, cargo box floor, and battery outer shell into one. The frame assembly eliminates the need for a separate crossbeam in the middle of the frame structure, effectively reducing frame weight and meeting lightweight design requirements. The frame can be assembled directly without crossbeams or bolts, making installation faster and more efficient. The cargo box can be mounted directly on the cargo floor, which is then assembled with the side panels, eliminating the difficult and complex assembly of the frame and cargo box. The hollow cavity 30 can be used to accommodate on-board components such as the power battery, effectively utilizing the space within the frame structure.
[0065] In some optional embodiments, vehicle 400 may further include wheels 45, front and rear axles 46, leaf spring suspensions 47, an electronic control device housing 48, and other device housings 49. The front and rear axles 46 are connected to the longitudinal box beam 10 of the vehicle frame assembly via the leaf spring suspensions 47, and the wheels 45 are connected to the front and rear axles 46. Mounting bolts for larger load-bearing devices, such as the leaf spring suspensions 47, can be connected using methods such as sleeve-embedded structures. Conventional bolts can be connected by slotting the inner wall of the longitudinal box beam 10 and welding nuts to the outer wall, or by inserting nut plates into the inner wall of the longitudinal box beam 10 for threaded connection.
[0066] The electronic control device housing 48 can be installed in the first hollow cavity 51 of the front box beam 50 of the front frame, corresponding to the front section of the vehicle (i.e., the area corresponding to the cab 43). The power unit 42 can be installed in the hollow cavity of the middle frame, and the other device housing 49 can be installed in the hollow cavity of the rear frame, effectively utilizing the frame space.
