Description

Shapewear

[0001] The present invention relates to a shapewear shirt, and more particularly to a shapewear shirt that does not use buttons, such as underwear (undergarments) or T-shirts.

[0002] BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, corrective underwear that corrects body posture when worn has been known (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0003] When the inventor of the present application was a child, he felt uncomfortable and short of breath when carrying a school bag (including a backpack, etc.) or wearing a shirt (especially underwear, T-shirts, etc.; the same applies hereinafter) even if the size was appropriate.

[0004] However, the inventor of the present invention noticed at one point that wearing all of these items backwards alleviated the feeling of breathlessness associated with the aforementioned tightness, and wondered what the cause of this was.

[0005] In addition, while working at a beauty salon where he provides chiropractic care, the inventor of the present application came to the conclusion that many of his customers had some kind of trouble with their waist, back, neck, or shoulders, and that the cause of many of these problems was poor posture, which prevented their physical functions from functioning properly.

[0006] The inventor of the present application then conducted various tests based on the relationship with the well-known four-stance theory and found that the shirts that we normally wear not only hinder bodily movements and cause shortness of breath due to a feeling of tightness, but in some cases can also cause the core of the body to collapse, leading to poor health.

[0007] The four-stance theory, roughly speaking, states that there are four ways in which people use their bodies, and each person has a way of using their body that suits their type.

[0008] The four types are innate, just like blood types. The four-stance theory is based on the idea that even simple basic body movements such as standing, sitting, walking, and grasping differ in terms of the shape of the body and the order in which each part of the body is moved, depending on the type.

[0009] Furthermore, in this four-stance theory, within the four categories, there are further sub-categorizations based on several characteristics.

[0010] In particular, the inventors of the present application have focused on two body types: (A) a cross type in which the quadrangular parts connecting the shoulders and hip joints, which make up the trunk, are linked together diagonally; and (B) a parallel type in which the quadrangular parts connecting the shoulders and hip joints, which make up the trunk, are linked together above and below on the left and right.

[0011] At this point, the inventor of the present application discovered that he was a cross type (A), and at the same time, he realized once again that this cross type prevented him from using shirts that were generally available on the market in a way that suited his own body.

[0012] In other words, almost all shirts sold commercially are made based on the industry theory that opening the chest improves posture (corrects the core).

[0013] Specifically, shirts that are generally sold have deep necklines such as round necks, U-necks, V-necks, etc., which visually (and in use) define the front and back. Also, shirts that are generally sold have a structure that pulls the body from the front to the back, and by providing a sash-shaped stretch (elasticity) on the back, they generate a large pulling function and aim to improve posture.

[0014] This type of pulling function can be achieved by attaching a structure with the functionality of applying unnatural force from outside the body to the back of the body in a sash-like manner, which can have the effect of "pushing out the chest" to "improve posture."

[0015] Patent No. 4660630

[0016] However, this type of pulling function places unnaturally large pressure on the shoulders, placing a strain on the body. Known shapewear shirts, including those in the above-mentioned publications, are particularly uncomfortable to wear for people with the cross type (A), causing breathlessness due to a tight feeling, and in some cases even causing the core to collapse, leading to poor health.

[0017] The object of the present invention is to provide a corrective shirt that can be worn comfortably by both types (A) and (B) of people, and that has corrective functions that contribute to preventing the collapse of the core.

[0018] In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a shapewear shirt comprising a first body portion and a second body portion that are made of two types of fabric with different elasticity levels and that cover the front and back of the body, wherein the first body portion comprises, when worn, a first arc-shaped neck edge portion that is located at the neck of the body, first sleeve edges that are located at the arms of the body, and a first lower edge portion that is located at the lower part of the body, and the second body portion comprises, when worn, a second arc-shaped neck edge portion that is located at the neck of the body, second sleeve edges that are located at the arms of the body, and a second lower edge portion that is located at the lower part of the body, and the first body portion and the second body portion have the same apparent external shape when viewed from the front, and the peripheral edges excluding the first neck edge portion and the second neck edge portion, the first sleeve edges and the second sleeve edges, and the first lower edge portion and the second lower edge portion are joined together, so that the shapewear shirt covers the upper half of the body when worn, and at the same time has one neck opening that exposes the neck of the body, two left and right sides that expose the arms of the body, and The garment is formed with a pair of cuffs and a torso opening through which the lower part of the body is exposed, and the first body portion comprises a vertical fabric having a predetermined width to include the center of the body width direction when worn and extending from the upper edge of the first neck edge portion toward the lower edge of the first lower edge portion, and a horizontal fabric having a predetermined height to include the middle torso portion in the vertical direction of the body and extending along the body width direction, wherein the vertical fabric and the horizontal fabric of the first body portion are a central non-stretchable portion and a lateral non-stretchable portion made of low-stretch fabric, and the remainder is an upper first lateral stretchable portion, an upper second lateral stretchable portion, a lower first lateral stretchable portion, and a lower second lateral stretchable portion made of high-stretch fabric, and the second body portion comprises an upper fabric that covers the upper torso portion in the vertical direction of the body when worn, and the upper fabric of the second body portion is an upper non-stretchable portion made of low-stretch fabric, and the remainder is a lower stretchable portion made of high-stretch fabric.

[0019] According to the present invention, not only can people of either the cross type or the parallel type wear one type of shirt comfortably, but the corrective function also contributes to preventing collapse of the core.

[0021] Next, a corrective shirt according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0022] 1A and 1B, the shapewear shirt 1 is made of two types of fabric with different stretchability. The shapewear shirt 1 is made of a first body portion 10 (see FIG. 1A) that covers the front of the body and a second body portion 20 (see FIG. 1B) that covers the back of the body.

[0023] The first body portion 10 and the second body portion 20 have the same apparent external shape when viewed from the front. The first body portion 10 and the second body portion 20 are joined at their peripheral edges, excluding the first neck edge 10a and the second neck edge 20a, the first sleeve edge 10b and the second sleeve edge 20b, and the first lower edge 10c and the second lower edge 20c. This results in a shapewear shirt 1 that covers the upper body when worn and has a neck opening (not shown) that exposes the neck, a pair of cuffs (not shown) that expose the arms, and a torso opening (not shown) that exposes the lower body.

[0024] The first body portion 10 has an arc-shaped first neck edge portion 10a located at the neck of the body when worn, a first sleeve edge portion 10b located at the arm of the body, and a first lower edge portion 10c located at the lower part of the body.

[0025] The first body section 10 comprises a vertical fabric section having a predetermined width to include the center of the body width direction when worn and extending from the upper edge of the first neck edge section 10a to the lower edge of the first lower edge section 10c, and a horizontal fabric section having a predetermined height to include the middle torso portion in the vertical direction and extending along the body width direction. The vertical fabric section of the first body section 10 is a central non-stretchable section 11 made of low-stretch fabric, and the horizontal fabric section is a lateral non-stretchable section 12 made of low-stretch fabric. The remainder of the first body section 10 is an upper first lateral stretchable section 13, an upper second lateral stretchable section 14, a lower first lateral stretchable section 15, a lower second lateral stretchable section 16, and left and right sleeve sections 17, 18, all made of high-stretch fabric.

[0026] The width W1 of the upper end of the central non-stretchable portion 11 is preferably from 10 cm from the lateral center of the body when worn along the first neck edge 10a to both shoulders (to the borders with the sleeves 17, 18). The first neck edge 10a is made of a highly stretchable fabric with a gusset width (approximately 1 cm to 1.5 cm) including reinforcement. The width W2 of the lower end of the central non-stretchable portion 11 is preferably from 20 cm to 30 cm from the lateral center of the body when worn along the first lower edge 10c. The first lower edge 10c is made of a highly stretchable fabric with a gusset width (approximately 1 cm to 1.5 cm) including reinforcement. The central non-stretchable portion 11 has linear or arc-shaped side edges 11a that narrow from the edges of the first neck edge 10a and the first lower edge 10c toward the height center of the first body portion 10 when worn. The width W3 of the central non-elastic portion 11 near the center in the vertical direction is the narrowest width, approximately 10 cm. In this embodiment, the central non-elastic portion 11 spreads out in a fan-like shape upward and downward from this narrowest center point. Note that the central non-elastic portion 11 may be, for example, a rectangle of the same width extending vertically, or two to five rectangles extending vertically and arranged in strips in the horizontal direction.

[0027] In this embodiment, the side non-stretchable portions 12 are composed of a single fan-shaped piece of low-stretch fabric. The lower edge 12a of the side non-stretchable portions 12 is formed in an arc shape so as to follow the tenth rib below (or within about 5 cm of) the tenth rib when the first body portion 10 is worn on the front side of the body (front body). The upper edge 12b of the side non-stretchable portions 12 is preferably formed in an arc shape so as to follow the seventh rib (or one rib above or below it) when the first body portion 10 is worn on the front side of the body (front body). At least one of the lower edge 12a and the upper edge 12b may be linear and inclined to follow the shape of the corresponding bone as closely as possible.

[0028] The left and right ends of the side inelastic parts 12 may reach both edges of the first body part 10, or may be located about 2 to 3 cm away from both edges.

[0029] In this way, the non-stretchable side portions 12 have lower edges 12a that extend (straight or) in an arc downward from near the bottom of the cuffs toward the center in the width direction of the body when the garment is worn. Note that the upper edges 12b of the non-stretchable side portions 12 are also formed (straight or) in an arc to follow the shape of the ribs near the center in the height direction when positioned in front of the body when the garment is worn, thereby making effective use of the fascia below the ribs.

[0030] The second body portion 20 has an arc-shaped second neck edge portion 20a located at the neck of the body when worn, a second sleeve edge portion 20b located at the arm of the body, and a second lower edge portion 20c located at the lower part of the body.

[0031] The second body portion 20 comprises an upper fabric that covers the upper torso portion of the body when worn. The upper fabric of the second body portion 20 is an upper non-stretchable portion 21 made of a fabric with low stretchability, and the remaining portion is a lower stretchable portion 22 and left and right sleeve portions 23, 24 made of a fabric with high stretchability.

[0032] The upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a lower edge 21a that curves linearly or arcuately upward from the left and right sides toward the center of the body when the garment is worn. This is to facilitate maintaining a tightening effect on the abdomen, even in the case of a protruding belly, when the second body portion 20 is facing the front of the body when the garment is worn. When the second body portion 20 is worn facing the front (front body), it is preferable that the upper non-stretchable portion 21 covers the entire ribs, or that the lower edge 21a is set to follow the ribs within a range of 5 cm above and below the lower rib (the 10th rib). It is also preferable that both ends of the lower edge 21a be located lower on the body than both ends of the lower edge 12a.

[0033] In the above configuration, in the case of a parallel type user P1 shown in Figure 2A, the user P1 puts on the corrective shirt 1 so that the first body portion 10 is positioned on the front side of the body and the second body portion 20 is positioned on the back side of the body (back sash function).

[0034] On the other hand, in the case of the cross-type user P2 shown in Figure 2B, the user P2 puts on the corrective shirt 1 so that the second body portion 20 is positioned on the front side of the body and the first body portion 10 is positioned on the back side of the body (front sash function).

[0035] Highly stretchable fabrics stretch to fit the shape of the body when worn, and exert a pulling effect on the fascia due to the contraction that accompanies this stretching. On the other hand, less stretchable fabrics deform to some extent to fit the shape of the body when worn, and exert a corset effect to the extent that they allow movement of the body (fascia).

[0036] As a result, in a static posture, for the cross-type user P2 shown in Figure 2B, the fascia is pulled from the shoulder blades toward the front of the body near the shoulders, and from the center of the spine toward both sides of the body near the lower ribs (front sash function). Note that the movement of the fascia in the lower upper body area corresponding to the abdominal muscles and latissimus dorsi is offset by the highly elastic fabric. Note that the arrows in Figures 2A and 2B indicate the direction in which the body (fascia) is pulled due to the sash function described above.

[0037] In this way, by making the external shapes of the first body portion 10 and the second body portion 20 the same, they can be used as both the front and back body portions when worn, and in particular, by ensuring that the neck opening is large (wide), the neck portion of the body is not constricted when worn.

[0038] Furthermore, by selectively securing the front sash function and the back sash function, two types can be established that open the chest to improve posture, and by moving the fascia in the opposite direction, it is possible to create a design that improves physical functions based on a unique osteopathic theory.

[0039] As described above, the corrective shirt 1 according to this embodiment can be expected to have the following effects: a. Improved posture: The chest-pushing structure straightens the spine, improving posture b. Improved breathing: The chest-pushing structure increases the distance between the waist and navel, making it easier to breathe c. Suppression of a bulging belly: The chest-pushing structure increases the distance between the waist and navel, keeping the abdomen constantly stretched and suppressing a bulging belly d. Improved body rotation: Applying pressure to the ribs and lower costovertebral joints simultaneously improves body rotation e. Strengthened core: Applying pressure to the ribs and lower costovertebral joints simultaneously strengthens the core, and supports the movements that the body naturally desires, which have been lost due to aging and lack of exercise, resulting in a comfortable fit.

[0040] The present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the spirit and technical concept of the present invention. Such modifications will be described below in order.

[0041] The shapewear shirt 2 shown in Figures 3A and 3B differs from the shapewear shirt 1 shown in Figures 1A and 1B above in that the side non-stretchable portion 12 is divided into a first side non-stretchable portion 12A and a second side non-stretchable portion 12B, and the lower edge 21a of the upper non-stretchable portion 21 is made straight, but the effect is essentially the same.

[0042] The shapewear shirt shown in Figure 4A is a shapewear shirt in which the lower edge 21a of the upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a convex, approximately trapezoidal shape facing downward near the left-right center. The shapewear shirt shown in Figure 4B is a shapewear shirt in which the lower edge 21a of the upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a concave, approximately trapezoidal shape facing upward near the left-right center. The shapewear shirt shown in Figure 4C is a shapewear shirt in which the lower edge 21a of the upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a convex, approximately triangular shape facing downward near the left-right center. The shapewear shirt shown in Figure 4D is a shapewear shirt in which the lower edge 21a of the upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a concave, approximately triangular shape facing upward near the left-right center. The shapewear shirt shown in Figure 4E is a shapewear shirt in which the upper non-stretchable portion 21 has a convex, approximately triangular shape facing upward near the left-right center, with the vertices of the two parts of the lower non-stretchable portion 21 joined together so that their vertices face the center. The shapewear shirt shown in FIG. 4F is a shapewear shirt in which the upper non-stretchable portions 21 with low stretchability are formed in the form of multiple strips extending in the width direction (they may also be formed in the form of multiple strips extending in the vertical direction).

[0043] 3A and 3B and 4A to 4F, parts that are functionally the same or substantially the same as those in the embodiments shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B and 2A and 2B are denoted by the same reference numerals and their description is omitted. The effects of these examples are substantially the same.

[0044] The embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, it goes without saying that the scope of the technical idea of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described herein. It is clear that a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains can conceive of various changes, modifications, combinations, etc. within the scope of the technical idea of the present invention as set forth in the claims. Therefore, the technologies resulting from such changes, modifications, combinations, etc., naturally fall within the scope of the technical idea of the present invention.

[0045] For highly stretchable fabrics, it is preferable to use chemical fibers including nylon (registered trademark). In this case, it is preferable to use 150 to 200 denier yarns and knit the fabric with smooth knitting and samar knitting to give the fabric the desired stretchability.

[0046] On the other hand, it is preferable that the low elasticity fabric has an elasticity of 50% or less, which is higher than that of the high elasticity fabric.

[0047] Furthermore, the edges of the high-stretch and low-stretch fabrics, as well as the peripheries of the first body section 10 and the second body section 20, are preferably joined by thermal seaming using a special press with high heat and adhesive glue. The joining method is not particularly limited, and may be fusion (thermal bonding), seaming, or welting, depending on the type of fabric used. Because the fabric used here is more stretchy and adheres better than cotton T-shirts, welting can be a drawback in terms of feel, but it also clearly defines the boundary with the low-stretch fabric and ensures strength, so it can be used appropriately in light of these advantages.

[0048] Furthermore, although the above has been described using short-sleeved T-shirt type underwear as an example, it may also be, for example, long-sleeved long T-shirt type underwear, sleeveless type underwear, or underwear that has no sleeves, or it may be something that is worn over commercially available underwear (T-shirt).

[0049] Although not specifically illustrated, the present invention can be implemented with various modifications within the scope of the invention.

[0050] As described above, the shapewear shirt of the present invention not only allows both cross-type and parallel-type people to wear one type of shirt comfortably, but also has the effect of contributing to the prevention of collapse of the core by providing a shapewear function. The present invention is useful for shapewear in general, which comprises a first body section and a second body section covering the front and back of the body using two types of fabric with different elasticity, the first body section and the second body section having the same apparent external shape when viewed from the front, the first body section comprising a central non-elastic section having a predetermined width to include the lateral center of the body when worn and made of low-elasticity fabric extending from the edge of the first neck edge toward the first lower edge, and side non-elastic sections having a predetermined height to include the middle torso portion in the vertical direction when worn and made of low-elasticity fabric extending in the horizontal direction of the body, and the second body section comprising an upper non-elastic section made of low-elasticity fabric that covers the upper torso portion in the vertical direction when worn.
