Abstract
Description
clothing
[0001] The present invention relates to clothing.
[0002] BACKGROUND ART Clothing that has a posture correcting function by increasing the pressure applied to the wearer has been developed (for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003] The garment disclosed in Patent Document 1 comprises a base fabric, ring-shaped elastic members extending in a ring shape along each of the left and right sleeve portions of the base fabric, and a back elastic member extending laterally along the back of the base fabric and connecting the left and right ring-shaped elastic members. The ring-shaped elastic members are made of elastic thread or rubber tape. The back elastic member is made of elastic thread or rubber sheet. Garments with this configuration pull the wearer's shoulders toward the back, around the base of the upper arms, by the connection between the back elastic member and the ring-shaped elastic member, thereby correcting the wearer's posture with a puffed chest.
[0004] Recently, the number of people trying to increase their muscle strength has been increasing. Muscles targeted for muscle strengthening include those on the back side, such as the deltoid and latissimus dorsi. When trying to increase muscle strength as described above, it is effective to apply stress to these muscles not only during training but also when not training.
[0005] The garment disclosed in Patent Document 1 above also has the back elastic member and ring-shaped elastic member that can apply stress to the muscles on the back side of the wearer, and is therefore thought to be effective in increasing the wearer's muscle strength.
[0006] However, the garment disclosed in Patent Document 1 is insufficient to effectively increase the wearer's muscle strength. Specifically, in conventional garments, including the garment disclosed in Patent Document 1, the front and back body sections constituting the base fabric are joined at the shoulders and both sides. Therefore, the ring-shaped elastic members of the garment disclosed in Patent Document 1 are formed on the base fabric, straddling the joined sections. In conventional garments, the joined sections have low elongation relative to the base fabric, so the tensile elastic force transmitted in the stretch direction of the ring-shaped elastic members is dispersed at the joined sections of the base fabric at the shoulders, preventing sufficient load from being applied to the wearer's muscles.
[0007] Japanese Utility Model Application Publication No. 62-160924
[0008] The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and aims to provide clothing that is effective in effectively applying stress to the muscles on the wearer's back side, thereby increasing muscle strength.
[0009] A garment according to one aspect of the present invention is a garment worn by a wearer with pressure applied to the upper body of the wearer, and includes a low-elongation section and a high-elongation section. The low-elongation section is a portion of the garment that has a first elongation. The high-elongation section is a portion of the garment that has a second elongation higher than the first elongation.
[0010] The low-elasticity portion comprises a portion of a base fabric that forms the base of the garment, and a low-elasticity belt member that is overlapped and joined to the portion of the base fabric. The low-elasticity belt member has a pair of ring members formed to surround the left and right sleeves, and a connecting member that connects the pair of ring members to each other at the wearer's back.
[0011] The high-elasticity portion is a portion of the base fabric excluding the portion to which the low-elasticity belt member is joined. The base fabric has a front body portion and a back body portion joined to each other. The back body portion has a back portion that covers the back, and a pair of sleeve portions that are seamlessly connected to the back portion and extend from the back portion through the shoulders along the left and right sleeve portions toward the wearer's chest and are joined to the side edges of the back portion. The low-elasticity portion is formed in a portion of the back portion and the pair of sleeve portions.
[0012] In the garment of this embodiment, the base fabric and the low-elasticity band member in the low-elasticity portion are joined at their ends around the left and right sleeves at the underarm areas of the wearer, and are configured to be continuous and seamless in other areas.

[0014] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that the embodiments described below are merely illustrative of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the following embodiments except for the essential configuration.
[0015] 1. Appearance of Garment 1 The appearance of the garment 1 according to this embodiment will be described with reference to Figures 1 and 2. Figure 1 is a view of the garment 1 as seen from the front, and Figure 2 is a view of the garment 1 as seen from the back.
[0016] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, garment 1 is, for example, a garment worn directly on the upper body, and is compression wear worn with pressure applied to the upper body. Garment 1 includes a front body 10, a back body 11, left and right sleeves 12, 13, a collar 14, and a low-elasticity belt member 20. Note that the front body 10, the back body 11, the left and right sleeves 12, 13, and the collar 14 are formed from a base fabric. The base fabric and the low-elasticity belt member 20 are joined together using an adhesive. However, they may also be joined by sewing.
[0017] The low-extensibility band member 20 is composed of a member that has a relatively low elongation compared to the base fabric including the front body 10 and the back body 11. That is, when the elongation of the portion of the base fabric where the low-extensibility band member 20 is joined (low-elongation portion) is a first elongation, the portion of the base fabric where the low-extensibility band member 20 is not joined (high-elongation portion) has a second elongation that is higher than the first elongation. The results of measuring the burst strength (JIS-L-1096 Mullen method) of the base fabric and the portion of the base fabric where the low-extensibility band member 20 is joined are shown below.
[0018] (Base material) 548 kPa (Base material + low elongation band member 20) 750 kPa
[0019] As described above, the portion where the low elongation band member 20 is joined to the base fabric has a burst strength that is approximately 37% higher than that of the base fabric.
[0020] The above ratio of the burst strength of the portion where the low-elongation band member 20 is joined to the base fabric is an example. For example, the burst strength may be 20% or more higher than that of the base fabric, and more preferably 30% or more higher.
[0021] Here, in the garment 1, the portion where the low-extensibility band member 20 is superimposed and joined to the base fabric is the low-extensibility portion, and the portion where the low-extensibility band member 20 is not joined to the base fabric is the high-extensibility portion. In other words, the low-extensibility portion is a portion that has a first extensibility due to the joining of the low-extensibility band member 20, and the high-extensibility portion is a portion that has a second extensibility higher than the first extensibility due to the absence of the joining of the low-extensibility band member 20.
[0022] The low-elasticity belt member 20 is formed from a bifurcated belt-shaped member on each side, and is formed by joining a pair of left and right end portions of this belt-shaped member. Specifically, the low-elasticity belt member 20 has a right ring portion 20a arranged so as to go around the cuff where the right sleeve is joined, a left ring portion 20b arranged so as to go around the cuff where the left sleeve is joined, and a connecting portion 20c that connects the ring portions 20a, 20b together at a portion that covers the wearer's back. In the low-elasticity belt member 20, the right ring portion 20a and the left ring portion 20b correspond to a pair of ring portions.
[0023] The right ring portion 20a is formed to be positioned so as to cover the anterior and posterior portions P1 and P4 of the wearer's glenohumeral joint (the portion where the humerus attaches to the scapula). The left ring portion 20b is formed to be positioned so as to cover the anterior and posterior portions P2 and P3 of the wearer's glenohumeral joint (the portion where the humerus attaches to the scapula). The right ring portion 20a has its longitudinal ends joined by sewing at the right underarm 1c, and the left ring portion 20b has its longitudinal ends joined by sewing at the left underarm 1d.
[0024] The right ring portion 20a and the left ring portion 20b are joined only at the sewn portions of the underarm portions 1c, 1d, and are configured to be continuous in the other portions in the stretching direction. That is, the right ring portion 20a and the left ring portion 20b have seams (jointed portions of the ends) formed in the underarm portions 1c, 1d, respectively, but are seamless in the stretching direction except for the underarm portions 1c, 1d.
[0025] 2, the connecting portion 20c is formed to extend in the shoulder width direction in the region between the wearer's left and right shoulder blades. The right ring portion 20a and the left ring portion 20b are each arranged to pass inside the wearer's shoulder blades at the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c.
[0026] 2. Structure of the Front Body 10 and the Back Body 11 The structures of the front body 10 and the back body 11 will be described with reference to FIGS. 3A, 3B, and 4. FIG.
[0027] As shown in FIG. 3A, the low-elasticity band member 20 is not joined to the front body 10 of the base fabric 100.
[0028] In contrast, as shown in Fig. 3B, the low-extensibility band member 20 is joined to a portion of the back body 11 of the base fabric 110. As shown in Fig. 4, the low-extensibility band member 20 is joined to the back body 11 of the base fabric 110 by using an adhesive between a portion of the front surface 11j of the base fabric 110 and the entire or part of the back surface 20d of the low-extensibility band member 20. However, they may also be joined by sewing.
[0029] 3B, the back body 11 has a main body portion (back portion) 11a that covers the wearer's back, and sleeve portions 11b and 11c that extend beyond the wearer's shoulders relative to the main body portion 11a. An edge 11f, which is one widthwise end of the right sleeve portion 11b, is the sleeve edge to which the right sleeve 12 is joined. An edge 11g, which is one widthwise end of the left sleeve portion 11c, is the sleeve edge to which the left sleeve 13 is joined.
[0030] Edge 11d, which is the other widthwise end edge of right sleeve portion 11b, is joined to edge 10a of the front body 10. Edge 11e, which is the other widthwise end edge of left sleeve portion 11c, is joined to edge 10b of the front body 10. The edges 11d and 11e of the back body 11 may be joined to the edges 10a and 10b of the front body 10 with an adhesive or by sewing.
[0031] The edges 10c, 10d of the front body 10 and the edges 11h, 11i of the back body 11 are joined at the sides of the wearer. The edges 10c, 10d of the front body 10 and the edges 11h, 11i of the back body 11 may be joined with an adhesive or by sewing.
[0032] The right ring portion 20a of the low-elasticity belt member 20 has a component 20a1 that is joined to the base fabric 110 of the right sleeve portion 11b and extends to the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c, and a component 20a2 that is joined to a part of the base fabric 110 of the main body portion 11a and extends from the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c to the edge portion 11h. The connecting portion between the right ring portion 20a and the connecting portion 20c is spaced inward in the shoulder width direction from the sleeve edge portion 11f of the base fabric 110. This ensures that the right ring portion 20a does not cover the wearer's shoulder blades at the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c.
[0033] The left ring portion 20b has a component 20b1 that is joined to the base fabric 110 at the left sleeve portion 11c and extends to the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c, and a component 20b2 that is joined to a part of the base fabric 110 at the main body portion 11a and extends from the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c to the edge portion 11i. The connecting portion between the left ring portion 20b and the connecting portion 20c is spaced inward in the shoulder width direction from the sleeve edge portion 11g of the base fabric 110. This ensures that the left ring portion 20b does not cover the wearer's shoulder blades at the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20c.
[0034] 3B , the base fabric 110 of the back body 11 and the low-extensibility belt member 20 joined to a portion of the base fabric 110 have no joints in the extension direction of the low-extensibility belt member 20 at the shoulder portions (arrows A1 and A2) that cover the wearer's shoulders. The right ring portion 20a of the low-extensibility belt member 20 is formed into a ring shape by joining an end edge 20a3 of the constituent portion 20a1 to an end edge 20a4 of the constituent portion 20a2 together with edge portions 11h and 10c. Similarly, the left ring portion 20b of the low-extensibility belt member 20 is formed into a ring shape by joining an end edge 20b3 of the constituent portion 20b1 to an end edge 20b4 of the constituent portion 20b2 together with edge portions 11i and 10d. That is, each of the ring portions 20a, 20b of the low-elongation band member 20 is formed into a ring shape by joining the ends in the stretching direction at the underarm portions 1c, 1d, and the portions other than the underarm portions 1c, 1d (see Figures 1 and 2) are configured to be continuous and seamless in the stretching direction.
[0035] The distance between the right sleeve edge 11f of the right sleeve portion 11b and the sleeve side edge 20a5 of the component 20a1 is set to 10 mm or less. However, the distance is wider than 10 mm on the side of the connection portion with the connecting portion 20c than the shoulder portion indicated by arrow A1. The distance between the left sleeve edge 11g of the left sleeve portion 11c and the sleeve side edge 20b5 of the component 20b1 is also set to 10 mm or less. However, the distance is wider than 10 mm on the side of the connection portion with the connecting portion 20c than the shoulder portion indicated by arrow A2.
[0036] The connecting portion 20c is formed so as to extend in the shoulder width direction between the wearer's left and right shoulder blades in the back portion of the back body 11. The connecting portion 20c is also arranged so as not to cover the wearer's shoulder blades.
[0037] 3. Muscle Strengthening Function of Garment 1 The muscle strength enhancing function of garment 1 will be described with reference to Fig. 5A to Fig. 7. Fig. 6A and Fig. 6B show garments according to Comparative Example 1, and Fig. 7 shows garments according to Comparative Example 2.
[0038] 5A , when a wearer 500 wearing the garment 1 swings his / her arm 501 forward (arrow B1), the low-elasticity belt member 20 pulls the shoulder (scapulohumeral joint) backward (arrow B2), which is opposite to the direction of swinging the arm 501. As a result, the wearer is subjected to a load in the opposite direction to the swinging direction simply by swinging the arm 501 forward.
[0039] 5B, when the wearer 500 swings the arm 501 upward (arrow B3), a force as indicated by arrow B4 is applied by the connecting portion 20c, and a force as indicated by arrow B5 is applied to the portion of the ring portions 20a, 20b above the connecting portion 20c. As a result, a load is applied to the wearer 500 in the opposite direction to the swinging direction by the action of swinging the arm 501 upward.
[0040] As described above, the wearer 500 wearing the garment 1 can exert a moderate load on the deltoid muscles and latissimus dorsi muscles in the back by simply moving the arms 501 not only during training but also in everyday life, thereby achieving a muscle training effect.
[0041] 6A and 6B , in the garment of Comparative Example 1, a right front portion 92a and a left front portion 92b of a low-extensibility belt member 92 are joined to the sleeve portion of the front body 90, and a right upper back portion 92c, a right lower back portion 92e, a left upper back portion 92d, a left lower back portion 92f, and a connecting portion 92g of the low-extensibility belt member 92 are joined to the upper part of the back body 91. The right upper back portion 92c, the right lower back portion 92e, and the connecting portion 92g are continuous, and the left upper back portion 92d, the left lower back portion 92f, and the connecting portion 92g are continuous.
[0042] In the garment according to Variation 1, the edge 92c3 of the connecting portion 92g (arrow C5) between the right upper back portion 92c and the right lower back portion 92e does not separate from the right sleeve portion 91c, and the edge 92d3 of the connecting portion 92g (arrow C6) between the left upper back portion 92d and the left lower back portion 92f does not separate from the left sleeve portion 91d. In addition, in the garment according to Variation 1, the edges 92a1, 92c1 of the right front portion 92a and the right upper back portion 92c are joined together at the shoulder (arrow C3), and the edges 92a2, 92c2 of the right front portion 92a and the right lower back portion 92e are joined together at the underarm. The left front portion 92b and the left rear upper portion 92d are joined at the shoulder (arrow C4) at their edges 92b1, 92d1, and the left front portion 92b and the left rear lower portion 92f are joined at their underarms at their edges 92b2, 92d2.
[0043] As described above, in the garment of Variation 1, the front portions 92a, 92b are joined to the base fabric of the front body 90 at the shoulders (the portions indicated by arrows C3, C4) and the upper back portions 92c, 92d are joined to the base fabric of the back body 91 at the shoulders. Therefore, when the wearer moves their arms, the longitudinal tensile force acting on the front portions 92a, 92b is dispersed at the joints at the shoulders (the portions indicated by arrows C3, C4). As a result, the tensile force is not effectively transmitted to the upper back portions 92c, 92d. Therefore, the garment of Comparative Example 1 does not effectively apply a load to the deltoid and latissimus dorsi muscles of the wearer, and is therefore not sufficient to enhance muscle strength.
[0044] Furthermore, the garment of Comparative Example 1 also has low-elasticity belt members in the areas covering the shoulder blades (arrows C5 and C6), which hinders the wearer from lifting their arms, preventing them from fully achieving their muscle-strengthening function.
[0045] In the garment according to Modification 2 shown in Figure 7, a low-elasticity belt member 94 joined to a base fabric has a right ring portion 94c, a left ring portion 94d, and a connecting portion 94g. The right ring portion 94c and the left ring portion 94d are connected by the connecting portion 94g at the back portion (D1) of the back body 93. The connecting portion 94g is positioned far away from the left and right sleeve portions 93c, 93d, and its length in the shoulder width direction is much shorter than that of the garment 1 of the above embodiment.
[0046] When a wearer wearing the garment as shown in FIG. 7 moves their arms, a pulling force as indicated by arrow D2 acts on the ring portions 94c and 94d.
[0047] However, in the garment according to Variation 2, the length of the connecting portion 94g is very short, so the degree to which the wearer's shoulders are pulled backward is small. Therefore, it is thought that the garment according to Comparative Example 2 also has little effect on increasing the wearer's muscle strength.
[0048] Furthermore, in the garment according to Variation 2, as in Variation 1, the front and back body sections of the base fabric are joined at the shoulders, so the tensile force transmitted to the front sides of the ring portions 94c and 94d is dispersed at the joint, and therefore the garment according to Comparative Example 2 also fails to effectively apply stress to the muscles on the back side.
[0049] 4. Dimensions of the Low-Extensibility Band Member 20 in the Garment 1 The dimensions of the low-extensibility band member 20 in the back body 11 of the garment 1 will be described with reference to FIG.
[0050] As shown in Figure 8, the width dimension of the ring portions 20a and 20b of the low-elasticity band member 20 is W1, and the vertical dimension of the connecting portion 20c is W2. In this case, W1 and W2 are set so that the ratio of W2 / W1 is approximately 100% to 200%. More preferably, W2 / W1 is approximately 130% to 170%.
[0051] The value of W1 is set to 30 mm to 50 mm, for example. As described above, the distance W5 between the right sleeve edge 11f of the right sleeve portion 11b and the sleeve side edge 20a5 of the component 20a1 is set to 10 mm or less.
[0052] The width of the connecting portion 20c in the width direction is W2, and the width between the left and right sleeve edges 11f, 11g in the back body 11 is W4. In this case, W3 and W4 are set so that the ratio of W3 / W4 is approximately 40% to 70%. More preferably, W3 / W4 is approximately 50% to 60%.
[0053] 5. Effects The garment 1 according to this embodiment includes a low-extensibility section (a region where the low-extensibility belt member 20 is overlapped and joined to the base fabric 110) in which the pair of ring portions 20a, 20b and the connecting portion 20c are integrally formed. The low-extensibility section (a region where the low-extensibility belt member 20 is joined to the base fabric 110) is seamlessly configured in the extension direction, except for the underarm portions 1c, 1d. Therefore, the garment 1 transmits the tensile force transmitted longitudinally through the ring portions on both sides to the back without being dispersed at the shoulders. Therefore, the garment 1 can apply a force that pulls the bases of the wearer's arms (scapulohumeral joints) backward. Thus, simply by wearing the garment 1, the wearer's 500 can exert stress on the back muscles, such as the deltoids and latissimus dorsi, thereby increasing muscle strength.
[0054] Furthermore, in the garment 1 according to this embodiment, the pair of ring portions 20a, 20b are joined at their end edges 20a3, 20a4, 20b3, and 20b4 at the underarm portions 1c, 1d, respectively, and have no joined portions at the shoulders (portions A1 and A2 in FIG. 3B ) or anywhere else in the stretching direction. Therefore, a pulling force is applied to the garment 1 in the longitudinal direction of each ring portion 20a, 20b, starting from the joined portions at the underarm portions 1c, 1d. Therefore, the garment 1 can effectively pull the bases of the wearer's arms (the glenohumeral joints) backward while minimizing the dispersion of the force.
[0055] 3A, 3B, and 4, the garment 1 according to this embodiment includes base fabrics 100, 110 and a low-extensibility belt member 20, and the low-extensibility portion is configured by overlapping and joining the low-extensibility belt member 20 to the base fabric 110. Therefore, the garment 1 can be configured to have a variety of differences in extensibility between the low-extensibility portion and the high-extensibility portion by selecting the base fabric 110 and the low-extensibility belt member 20. This makes it possible to adjust the force that pulls the bases of both arms (glenohumeral joints) of the wearer 500 backward to an appropriate force.
[0056] 3B, the garment 1 according to this embodiment employs a back body 11 having a pair of sleeve portions 11b, 11c. Therefore, the garment 1 can be manufactured without complicated work, while the low-stretch portion is seamlessly configured in the stretch direction except for the underarm portions 1c, 1d.
[0057] Furthermore, in the garment 1 according to this embodiment, the pair of ring portions 20 a, 20 b are each formed so that the connecting portion with the connecting portion 20 c passes inside the left and right shoulder blades. As a result, the garment 1 is less likely to inhibit movement of the shoulder blades of the wearer 500. Therefore, even when the wearer 500 tries to raise his or her arm 501, the movement is less likely to be hindered.
[0058] Furthermore, in the garment 1 according to this embodiment, each of the pair of rings 20a, 20b is formed to pass through the portion covering the glenohumeral joint, and the portion where the rings 20a, 20b are joined is formed with a relatively low elongation, so that the garment 1 can effectively pull the base of both arms backward with the glenohumeral joint as the point of application.
[0059] As described above, the garment 1 according to this embodiment can apply a load to the muscles on the back side of the wearer 500.
[0060] [Variation 1] In the above embodiment, the front body 10 and the back body 11 are prepared separately and joined together, but in this variation, the front body and the back body are formed as a single piece. Garment 2 according to this variation will be described using Figure 9. Note that Figure 9 shows garment 2 in a state before the edges are joined together. Also, sleeves, a collar, and the like are not shown.
[0061] 9, the garment 2 according to this modification comprises a base fabric 21 having a back body section 21a and front body sections 21b, 21c, and a low-extensibility band member 22 joined to a portion of the base fabric 21. In this modification as well, the portion of the base fabric 21 where the low-extensibility band member 22 is joined is a low-extensibility portion, and the remaining portion (the portion where the low-extensibility band member 22 is not joined) is a high-extensibility portion.
[0062] In the garment 2 according to this modification, the front body sections 21b and 21c are each continuous with the back body section 21a. The right front body section 21b is formed to extend continuously from the right shoulder section (arrow E7) of the back body section 21a. The left front body section 21c is formed to extend continuously from the left shoulder section (arrow E8) of the back body section 21a.
[0063] The garment 2 has a right sleeve portion 21j extending from the back body 21a over the right shoulder to the right front body 21b, and a left sleeve portion 21k extending from the back body 21a over the left shoulder to the left front body 21c. Edge 21l, which is one widthwise end of the right sleeve portion 21j, is the sleeve edge to which the right sleeve is joined. Edge 21m, which is one widthwise end of the left sleeve portion 21k, is the sleeve edge to which the left sleeve is joined.
[0064] 9, the garment 2 according to this modification also has portions on the right front body 21b and the left front body 21c to which the low-elasticity band member 22 is joined. That is, the garment 2 according to this modification also has low-elasticity portions and high-elasticity portions on the front body portions 21b and 21c.
[0065] The low-elasticity belt member 22 has a right ring portion 22a formed to extend along the right sleeve edge, a left ring portion 22b formed to extend along the left sleeve edge, and a connecting portion 22c connecting the right ring portion 22a and the left ring portion 22b at the upper part of the back body 21a. In this modified example, the right ring portion 22a, the left ring portion 22b, and the connecting portion 22c are formed continuously.
[0066] The connecting portion 22c is formed on the back of the rear body 21a so as to extend between the wearer's left and right shoulder blades in the shoulder width direction.
[0067] In this modified example, the low-elasticity band member 22 is also bonded to the base fabric 21 using an adhesive, for example.
[0068] In this modified example, the right ring portion 22a, the left ring portion 22b, and the connecting portion 22c are also arranged so as not to cover the shoulder blades of the wearer.
[0069] In the garment 2, edge 21d (arrow E1) of the back body 21a is joined to edge 21e (arrow E2) of the right front body 21b, edge 21f (arrow E3) of the back body 21a is joined to edge 21g (arrow E4) of the left front body 21c, and edge 21h (arrow E5) of the right front body 21b is joined to edge 21i (arrow E6) of the left front body 21c.
[0070] The edges 22a1, 22a2 of the right ring portion 22a of the low-elasticity belt member 22 are overlapped and joined to the edge 21d of the back body 21a and the edge 21e of the right front body 21b. Similarly, the edges 22b1, 22b2 of the left ring portion 22b of the low-elasticity belt member 22 are overlapped and joined to the edge 21f of the back body 21a and the edge 21g of the left front body 21c. The joining of the edges 22a1, 22a2 and the joining of the edges 22b1, 22b2 are, for example, performed by sewing.
[0071] The garment 2 according to this modification differs from the above embodiment in that the back body portion 21a and the front body portions 21b and 21c are formed so as to be continuous, but other configurations are the same as those of the above embodiment. Therefore, the garment 2 according to this modification can achieve the same effects as the garment 1 according to the above embodiment.
[0072] Furthermore, since the garment 2 according to this modified example is cut so that the back body 21a and the front body 21b, 21c are continuous, it is possible to reduce the number of parts, thereby achieving the effect of reducing the labor required for parts management.
[0073] [Other Modifications] In the above embodiment and Modification 1, a member (low-elongation band member 20, 22) having lower elongation than the base fabric is overlapped and joined, but the present invention is not limited to this. For example, as shown in Fig. 10A, a joining fabric 24 made of the same material as the base fabric 23 can be overlapped on a portion of the front surface 23a of the base fabric 23, and the front surface 23a of the base fabric 23 and the back surface 24a of the joining fabric 24 can be joined by adhesive, sewing, or the like.
[0074] 10B, a low-elongation portion 26 can be formed in a portion of the base fabric 25. That is, instead of overlapping and joining two pieces of fabric, a single piece of fabric can have a low-elongation portion and a high-elongation portion. Various methods can be used to form the low-elongation portion 26, and one example is to impregnate a portion of the base fabric 25 with an adhesive or the like.
[0075] 10C, a fabric can be used in which a print layer 28 is formed on a portion of a base fabric 27, providing a low-elongation portion and a high-elongation portion. Note that the base fabric 27 does not necessarily have to be made of a single type of yarn, but may be made of two or more types of yarn woven together. Furthermore, the print layer 28 does not necessarily have to be a coating, but may be a film made of a fiber layer.
[0076] Furthermore, although not shown in the drawings, it is also possible to form a garment having a low-stretch portion and a high-stretch portion by joining the ends of the base fabric and the low-stretch band member together by sewing or the like.
[0077] Furthermore, while the above embodiment and the first modified example employ compression wear as an example of the garments 1 and 2, the present invention is not limited to this and can be applied to any garment in which a tensile force acts on the fabric in response to the wearer's movements.
[0078] [Summary] A garment according to one aspect of the present invention is a garment worn by a wearer with pressure applied to the upper body of the wearer, and includes a low-elongation portion and a high-elongation portion. The low-elongation portion is a portion provided in a part of the garment and has a first elongation. The high-elongation portion is a portion provided in the remaining part and has a second elongation higher than the first elongation.
[0079] The low-elasticity portion comprises a portion of a base fabric that forms the base of the garment, and a low-elasticity belt member that is overlapped and joined to the portion of the base fabric. The low-elasticity belt member has a pair of ring members formed to surround the left and right sleeves, and a connecting member that connects the pair of ring members to each other at the wearer's back.
[0080] The high-elasticity portion is a portion of the base fabric excluding the portion to which the low-elasticity belt member is joined.
[0081] The base fabric and the low-elasticity band member in the low-elasticity portion are joined at their ends around the left and right sleeves at the underarm areas of the wearer, and are configured to be continuous and seamless in other areas.
[0082] The garment according to the above aspect includes a low-elasticity belt member having a pair of ring portions and a connecting portion, and the pair of sleeve portions and pair of ring portions that form the low-elasticity portion are each configured to be continuous and seamless except for the underarm areas. Therefore, the tensile force transmitted longitudinally through the ring portions on both sides is transmitted to the back side without being dispersed at the shoulders. Therefore, the garment according to the above aspect can exert a force that pulls the bases of the wearer's arms backward. Thus, simply by wearing the garment according to the above aspect, the wearer can apply stress to muscles on the back, such as the deltoids and latissimus dorsi, thereby increasing muscle strength.
[0083] The "wearing pressure" in the above refers to the pressure exerted by the tensile force on the fabric in the low-elongation and high-elongation sections in response to the wearer's movements. Therefore, the garment according to the above embodiment is not limited to so-called compression wear.
[0084] Furthermore, in the garment according to the above aspect, the low-extensibility portion is configured by overlapping and joining the low-extensibility band member to the base fabric, so that the difference in extensibility between the low-extensibility portion and the high-extensibility portion can be set in various ways by selecting the base fabric and the low-extensibility band member, and therefore the force that pulls the base of the wearer's arms backward can be adjusted to an appropriate magnitude.
[0085] Furthermore, by adopting a configuration in which the low-stretch portion is formed in a part of the back portion and a pair of sleeve portions, the garment according to the above aspect can be manufactured without complicated work, while forming the low-stretch portion continuously and seamlessly except for the underarm portion.
[0086] In the garment according to the above aspect, each of the pair of ring portions may be formed at a distance from the sleeves so that the connecting portion with the connecting portion is located inside the left and right shoulder blades of the wearer in the width direction of the back of the wearer.
[0087] In the garment according to the above aspect, the pair of ring parts are formed so that the connecting parts are positioned inward of the left and right shoulder blades, so that movement of the wearer's shoulder blades is not easily hindered, even when the wearer tries to raise their arms.
[0088] In the garment according to the above aspect, each of the pair of ring portions may be formed so as to be positioned in a portion covering the glenohumeral joint of the wearer.
[0089] In the garment according to the above aspect, each of the pair of rings is formed to be positioned in a portion that covers the glenohumeral joint, and the pair of rings is formed with a relatively low elongation compared to other portions, so that the garment can effectively pull the base of both arms backward with the glenohumeral joint as the point of application.
[0090] As explained above, the garments according to the above aspects are effective in increasing muscle strength by applying stress to the muscles on the back side of the wearer.
