Description

Reclining bed

[0001] The present invention relates to a reclining bed in which a support platform is provided on a base so that it can be raised and lowered, and a support platform for supporting the body of a person lying down is provided on the support platform so that it can be raised and lowered.

[0002] In hospitals, nursing homes, and home care and nursing, reclining beds are used in which a support platform is mounted on a base so that it can be raised and lowered, and a receiving platform that can be raised and lowered to support the body of a recumbent person (a person lying on the bed in a supine, lateral, prone, or other position) is mounted on the support platform so that the entire receiving platform can be raised and lowered, and part of the receiving platform (for example, the back, thighs, and lower legs of the recumbent person) can be raised and lowered (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

[0003] In this type of reclining bed, it is desirable to lower the support base as much as possible to reduce the height between the base and the floor in order to make it easier for people lying down to get on and off and to reduce the impact on the body in the event of a fall.

[0004] On the other hand, especially for reclining beds used in hospitals and nursing homes, it is desirable to enlarge the casters attached to the base so that they can easily overcome steps in the floor and make movement easier.

[0005] JP 2016-19613 A

[0006] However, in the above-mentioned conventional reclining bed, if the support base is lowered to the lowest position to make the height between the receiving base and the floor as low as possible and the casters are made as large as possible, when the support base is lowered to the lowest position relative to the base, the top of the caster protrudes above the base.

[0007] In this way, if there is a component that protrudes above the support base when the support base is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base, when the thigh support is raised while the support base is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base, the tip of the lower leg support, which moves in conjunction with the thigh support, will collide with the component that protrudes above the support base along the way, preventing the lower leg support from moving smoothly and potentially damaging the lower leg support or component.

[0008] Therefore, in the present invention according to claim 1, in a reclining bed in which a support platform is provided on a base so that it can be raised and lowered, and a receiving platform for supporting the body of a person lying down is provided on the support platform so that it can be raised and lowered, the base end of the thigh receiving platform for supporting the thighs of the person lying down is provided on the support platform so that it can be raised and lowered, and the base end of the lower leg receiving platform for supporting the lower legs of the person lying down is provided at the tip of the thigh receiving platform so that it can be bent up and down, so that the base end of the lower leg receiving platform bends at the tip of the thigh receiving platform as the thigh receiving platform is raised, and when the support platform is lowered to the lowest position relative to the base and the thigh receiving platform is raised, the tip of the lower leg receiving platform slides along a lower leg receiving platform guide provided to raise the tip of the lower leg receiving platform above a protruding member that protrudes above the support platform, thereby avoiding collision between the tip of the lower leg receiving platform and the protruding member.

[0009] In addition, in the present invention according to claim 2, in the present invention described in claim 1, the lower leg support guide is arranged so that it can be accommodated in a recess provided at the bottom of the lower leg support, which supports the lower leg of a person lying down on its upper surface.

[0010] Furthermore, in the present invention according to claim 3, in the present invention according to claim 1 or claim 2, the lower leg support guide is provided on the support base, and the tip of the lower leg support always slides along the lower leg support guide when the thigh support is raised or lowered, regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base.

[0011] Furthermore, in the present invention according to claim 4, in the present invention according to claim 1 or claim 2, the lower leg support guide is provided on a protruding member that protrudes above the support base when the support base is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base.

[0012] Furthermore, in the present invention according to claim 5, in the present invention according to claim 4, a slider is provided at the tip of the lower leg support base, and depending on the elevation state of the support base, when the protruding member protrudes above the support base, the slider slides along the lower leg support base guide, and when the protruding member does not protrude above the support base, the slider slides along the support base.

[0013] In a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the fourth aspect of the present invention, the protruding members are casters provided on the base.

[0014] The present invention provides the following effects.

[0015] That is, in the present invention, in a reclining bed in which a support base is provided on a base so as to be able to rise and fall, and a receiving base for receiving the body of a person lying down is provided on the support base so as to be able to rise and fall, the base end of the thigh receiving base for receiving the thighs of the person lying down is provided on the support base so as to be able to rise and fall, and the base end of the lower leg receiving base for receiving the lower leg of the person lying down is provided on the tip of the thigh receiving base so as to be able to be bent up and down, so that the base end of the lower leg receiving base is bent at the tip of the thigh receiving base as the thigh receiving base is raised and lowered, When the thigh support is raised with the base lowered to its lowest position, the tip of the crus support slides along the crus support guide, which is provided to raise the tip of the crus support above the protruding member that protrudes above the support base, thereby avoiding collision between the tip of the crus support and the protruding member. This allows the crus support to move smoothly even when the support base is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base, and also prevents damage due to collision between the crus support and the protruding member. This allows the support base to be lowered to its lowest position, making the height between the base and the floor as low as possible, and allows casters, etc. to be made as large as possible.

[0016] In particular, if the lower leg support guide is positioned so that it can be accommodated in a recess provided at the bottom of the lower leg support base, which supports the lower leg of a person lying down on its upper surface, the lower leg support guide will be accommodated in the recess of the lower leg support base when the support base is lowered to its lowest point relative to the base, so even if a lower leg support guide is provided, the height between the support base and the floor can be reduced when the support base is lowered to its lowest point.

[0017] Furthermore, if the lower leg support guide is provided on the support base so that the tip of the lower leg support always slides along the lower leg support guide when the thigh support is raised or lowered regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base, the movement of the lower leg support linked to the raising or lowering of the thigh support can be made uniform regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base.

[0018] Furthermore, if the lower leg support guide is provided on a protruding member that protrudes above the support base when the support base is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base, collision between the protruding member and the tip of the lower leg support can be avoided even if the protruding member is changed to one of a different size.

[0019] Furthermore, if a sliding body is provided at the tip of the lower leg support base, and depending on the elevation state of the support base, the sliding body slides along the lower leg support base guide when the protruding member protrudes above the support base, and slides along the support base when the protruding member does not protrude above the support base, then simply by providing a common sliding body at the tip of the lower leg support base, collision between the protruding member and the tip of the lower leg support base can be avoided regardless of the elevation state of the support base.

[0020] Furthermore, if the protruding member is a caster portion provided on the base, the caster can be made larger to facilitate movement of the reclining bed.

Figure 4 shows an enlarged side cross-sectional view of the same. Figure 5 shows an enlarged side cross-sectional view of a lower leg support base guide attached to a support base. Figures 1(a) and 1(b) and 1(c) show an enlarged side cross-sectional view of a lower leg support base guide attached to a caster portion.

[0022] Hereinafter, a specific configuration of the reclining bed according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

[0023] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, reclining bed 1 has a support base 3 detachably (assembleable and separable) provided on the top of base 2, and a receiving base 4 detachably (assembleable and separable) provided on the top of support base 3 for supporting the body of a reclining person. Between base 2 and support base 3, there is provided a lifting mechanism 5 for raising and lowering the entire support base 3 (receiving base 4) relative to base 2. Also, between support base 3 and receiving base 4, there is provided an upper body raising mechanism 6 for partially raising and lowering a part (upper body side) of receiving base 4 relative to support base 3, and a lower body raising mechanism 7 for partially raising and lowering a part (lower body side) of receiving base 4 relative to support base 3. For convenience, the foot side (right side in Figure 1) of a person reclining on reclining bed 1 will be described as the front side, and the head side (left side in Figure 1) will be described as the rear side.

[0024] The base 2 is movable by attaching caster sections 10, 11 consisting of casters and sections covering the upper parts of the casters to the lower front and lower rear ends of a pair of left and right base frames 8, 9 extending in the front-to-back direction, and connecting frames 12, 13 extending in the left-to-right direction are attached (fixed) between the front and rear parts of the left and right base frames 8, 9.

[0025] The support base 3 has boards (a footboard 16 and a headboard 17) detachably attached between the front and rear ends of a pair of left and right support base frames 14, 15 extending in the front-to-rear direction, and also has a connecting frame 18 attached (fixed) to the middle of the left and right support base frames 14, 15, extending in the left-to-right direction. The connecting frame 18 is curved at the middle to avoid interference (collision) with the upper body raising mechanism 6.

[0026] The support base 4 is composed of a buttocks support base 19 for mainly receiving the weight of the reclining person's buttocks (supporting the reclining person's buttocks from below), an upper body support base 20 for mainly receiving the weight of the reclining person's upper body (above the buttocks) (supporting the reclining person's upper body from below), and a lower body support base for mainly receiving the weight of the reclining person's lower body (below the buttocks) (supporting the reclining person's lower body from below). The lower body support base is divided into a thigh support base 21 for mainly receiving the weight of the reclining person's thighs (supporting the reclining person's thighs from below), and a lower leg support base 22 for mainly receiving the weight of the reclining person's lower legs (supporting the reclining person's lower legs from below).

[0027] The buttocks support 19 is fixed horizontally to the upper center of the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15).

[0028] The upper body support 20 is pivotally attached at its front end to the upper part of the rear side (rear of the buttocks support 19) of the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15) so as to be able to rotate up and down, so that it can be raised and lowered relative to the support base 3 and the buttocks support 19. The upper body support 20 is supported by the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15) by a support mechanism described below, and is able to rise and lower up and down relative to the support base frames 14, 15 while moving back and forth along the support base frames 14, 15. The upper body support 20 may be divided into a back support that mainly receives the weight of the back (spine) below the shoulders (scapulae) of a reclining person (supporting the back (spine) below the shoulders (scapulae) of a reclining person from below), and a shoulder support that mainly receives the weight of the shoulders (scapulae) above the shoulders and head of a reclining person (supporting the shoulders (scapulae) above the shoulders and head of a reclining person from below).

[0029] The rear end of the thigh support 21 of the lower body support is pivotally attached to the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15) above and in front of the buttocks support 19 so that it can rotate up and down. This allows the thigh support 21 to be raised and lowered relative to the support base 3 and buttocks support 19. The rear end of the crus support 22 of the lower body support is pivotally attached to the front end of the thigh support 21 so that it can rotate up and down. This allows the crus support 22 to be raised and lowered together with the thigh support 21 relative to the support base 3 and buttocks support 19, and is also able to be raised and lowered (freely bent) relative to the thigh support 21. The rear end of the crus support 22 moves together with the front end of the thigh support 21, and the front end moves along the upper surface of the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15).

[0030] The lifting mechanism 5 has a base-side moving frame 23 attached to the inside of the middle portions of the base frames 8, 9, extending in the left-right direction, so as to be movable back and forth along the base frames 8, 9, and a support-side moving frame 24 attached to the inside of the middle portions of the support frames 14, 15, extending in the left-right direction, so as to be movable back and forth along the support frames 14, 15. The base-side moving frame 23 and support-side moving frame 24 of the lifting mechanism 5 are supported by the base frames 8, 9 and the support frames 14, 15, respectively, by support mechanisms described below. The support-side moving frame 24 is curved midway to avoid interference (collision) with the lower body raising mechanism 7.

[0031] The lifting mechanism 5 has a pair of left and right crossbars 25, 26 whose lower ends are attached to the connecting frame 13 at the rear of the base 2 and the base-side moving frame 23 with a space between them so that they can rotate up and down, and whose upper ends are attached to the connecting frame 18 at the rear of the support base 3 and the support-side moving frame 24 with a space between them so that they can rotate up and down. The crossbars 25, 26 are connected at their centers so that they can rotate up and down.

[0032] Furthermore, the lifting mechanism 5 has an actuator 27 mounted between the center of the connecting frame 12 on the front side of the base 2 and the center of the support-side moving frame 24 so that it can rotate up and down. The actuator 27 is composed of a motor and a rod, and the motor side (base end side) is mounted to the connecting frame 12 so that it can rotate up and down, and the rod side (tip end side) is mounted to the support-side moving frame 24 so that it can rotate up and down. A protector 28 is provided below the actuator 27 of the lifting mechanism 5 to protect the actuator 27 from below (to protect the upper actuator 27 from direct application of force from below). The protector 28 is mounted to the lower part of the connecting frame 12, extending horizontally forward.

[0033] The lifting mechanism 5 is configured to extend and retract the rod of the actuator 27, thereby raising and lowering the support base 3 (receiving base 4) up and down relative to the base 2. Note that the lifting mechanism 5 is not limited to the above configuration as long as it can raise and lower the support base 3 (receiving base 4) up and down relative to the base 2.

[0034] The upper body raising mechanism 6 includes a support frame 29 attached between the rear midpoints of the support platform frames 14, 15, which extends laterally and has a central portion curved downward and forward. Support arms 30, 31 are attached to the center of the support frame 29 at intervals on the left and right, extending upward and forward. A base end (front end) of a movable body 32 extending in the front-to-rear direction is pivotally supported between the left and right support arms 30, 31 for vertical rotation. Rollers 33, 34 are pivotally supported on the left and right sides of the tip end (rear end) of the movable body 32. The left and right rollers 33, 34 abut against the lower portion of the upper body support base 20 so as to be able to roll along the upper body support base 20. The movable body 32 is supported at the tips of the left and right support arms 30, 31 by a support mechanism, which will be described later.

[0035] The upper body raising mechanism 6 also has a support frame 35 attached between the rear ends of the support base frames 14, 15, extending in the left-right direction, and a support body 36 attached to the center of the support frame 35, extending downward.

[0036] Furthermore, the upper body raising mechanism 6 has an actuator 37 attached between the front lower part of the support body 36 and the lower middle part of the movable body 32 so that it can rotate up and down. The actuator 37 is composed of a motor and a rod, and the motor side (base end side) is attached to the support body 36 so that it can rotate up and down, and the rod side (tip end side) is attached to the movable body 32 so that it can rotate up and down. A protector 38 is provided below the actuator 37 of the upper body raising mechanism 6 to protect the actuator 37 from below (to protect the upper actuator 37 from being directly subjected to force from below). The base end of the protector 38 is attached to the front lower part of the support body 36 in a state where it is bent forward and upward, and the tip end is attached to the center rear of the support frame 29.

[0037] 4, by extending and retracting the rod of the actuator 37. The upper body raising mechanism 6 is not limited to the above configuration as long as it can raise and lower the upper body support 20 up and down relative to the support base 3.

[0038] The lower body raising mechanism 7 has a support frame 39 attached between the front midpoints of the support platform frames 14, 15, extending laterally, and support arms 40, 41 attached to the center of the support frame 39 at a distance from each other, extending upward and forward. The base end (rear end) of a movable body 42 extending in the front-to-rear direction is pivotally supported between the left and right support arms 40, 41 for vertical rotation, and rollers 43, 44 are pivotally supported on the left and right sides of the distal end (front end) of the movable body 42. The left and right rollers 43, 44 abut against the lower part of the thigh support base 21 so as to be able to roll along the thigh support base 21. The movable body 42 is supported by the support arms 40, 41 using a support mechanism described below.

[0039] The lower body raising mechanism 7 also has a support frame 45 attached between the rear midpoints of the support base frames 14, 15, extending in the left-right direction, and a support body 46 attached to the center of the support frame 45 and extending downward.

[0040] Furthermore, the lower body raising mechanism 7 has an actuator 47 mounted between the front lower part of the support body 46 and the lower rear part of the movable body 42 so that it can rotate up and down. The actuator 47 is composed of a motor and a rod, and the motor side (base end side) is mounted to the support body 46 so that it can rotate up and down, and the rod side (tip end side) is mounted to the movable body 42 so that it can rotate up and down. A protector 48 is provided below the actuator 47 of the lower body raising mechanism 7 to protect the actuator 47 from below (to protect the upper actuator 47 from being directly subjected to force from below). The base end of the protector 48 is mounted to the front lower part of the support body 46 in a state where it is branched and bent to the left and right toward the front and up, and the bifurcated tip ends are mounted to the central rear part of the support frame 39 with a gap between them on the left and right.

[0041] 5, by extending and retracting the rod of the actuator 47, the lower body raising mechanism 7 can raise and lower the lower body support base (thigh support base 21 and lower leg support base 22) up and down relative to the support base 3. Note that the lower body raising mechanism 7 is not limited to the above configuration as long as it can raise and lower the lower body support base (thigh support base 21 and lower leg support base 22) up and down relative to the support base 3, and may be configured such that the actuator 37 of the upper body raising mechanism 6 and the movable body 42 are interlocked and connected without using the actuator 47.

[0042] The lower body support base (thigh support base 21 and crus support base 22) is configured such that the base end of the thigh support base 21 is mounted on the support base 3 so as to be able to rise and fall, and the base end of the crus support base 22 is mounted at the tip of the thigh support base 21 so as to be able to bend up and down, so that when the lower body raising mechanism 7 is driven, the base end of the crus support base 22 bends at the tip of the thigh support base 21 as the thigh support base 21 rises and falls. At this time, the tip of the crus support base 22 is free and slides along the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15) etc. due to its own weight.

[0043] Therefore, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, when the support base 3 and receiving base 4 are lowered to the lowest point relative to the base 2 to lower the height (step) between the floor 49 and the upper surface of the receiving base 4, if there is a protruding member (for example, caster parts 10, 11) that protrudes above the upper surface of the support base 3, the protruding member will collide with the tip of the lower leg receiving base 22, preventing the lower leg receiving base 22 from moving smoothly and also damaging the lower leg receiving base 22 and the protruding member.

[0044] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1, a lower leg support guide 50 is provided to raise the tip of the lower leg support 22 toward the top of the protruding member (for example, caster parts 10, 11) that protrudes above the base 2 when the support base 3 and the support base 4 are lowered to the lowest position relative to the base 2.

[0045] The crus support guides 50 are attached to the upper surfaces of the left and right support frame frames 14, 15 of the support base 3. The crus support guides 50 form an inclined surface 51 at the front end that is low in the front and high in the rear, and a flat surface 52 of the same height at the rear end.

[0046] A slider 53 is provided at the tip of the lower leg support 22, and when the thigh support 21 is raised, the slider 53 at the tip of the lower leg support 22 slides along the upper surfaces of the support frame 14, 15. As shown in Figure 8, the slider 53 slides along the inclined surface 51 of the lower leg support guide 50, causing the tip of the lower leg support 22 to rise above the protruding member (caster unit 10 in this case) that protrudes above the base 2, avoiding collision between the lower leg support 22 and the protruding member (caster unit 10), after which the slider 53 slides at the same height along the flat surface 52 of the lower leg support guide 50. When the thigh support 21 is lowered, the movement of the thigh support 21 is reversed from the movement when it is raised. The sliding body 53 need only be able to smoothly move the tip of the lower leg support 22 when the thigh support 21 is raised or lowered, and is not limited to a wheel, but may also be a molded body made of resin, rubber, or the like.

[0047] The upper part of the crus support guide 50 is accommodated in a recess 54 provided in the lower part of the crus support 22, which supports the lower parts of the crus of a lying person on its upper surface, when the support bases 3 and 4 are lowered to their lowest position relative to the base 2. The crus support 22 has a flexible net-like support surface 56 attached to the top of a rectangular frame-shaped support frame 55, and the recess 54 is formed below the support surface 56. The recess 54 of the crus support 22 is also adapted to accommodate the upper part of the protruding member (here, the caster parts 10, 11) that protrudes above the top surface of the support base 3 when the support bases 3 and 4 are lowered to their lowest position relative to the base 2. In this way, in the reclining bed 1, when the support base 3 is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base 2, the lower leg support guide 50 and the protruding member (here, the caster portion 10) are accommodated in the recess 54 of the lower leg support 22, so that the height between the support base 4 and the floor 49 can be reduced when the support base 3 is lowered to its lowest position, making it easier for a reclining person to get on and off the reclining bed 1 and also reducing the impact on the body in the event of a fall.

[0048] The lower leg support guide 50 is provided on the upper part of the support frame 14, 15 of the support base 3, so that when the thigh support 21 is raised or lowered, the sliding body 53 at the tip of the lower leg support 22 always slides along the lower leg support guide 50, regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base 3. However, this is not limited to this, and the sliding body 53 may also be provided on the protruding member (here, the caster part 10).

[0049] 9, for example, a crus support guide 57 is attached to the front of the caster unit 10 attached to the front ends of the base frames 8, 9 of the base 2, and a slider 58 longer than the slider 53 is attached to the tip of the crus support 22. When the support base 3 is raised or lowered so that the protruding member protrudes above the upper surface of the support base 3, raising the thigh support 21 causes the slider 58 at the tip of the crus support 22 to slide along the flat surface 59 of the crus support guide 57, and then slides along the inclined surface 60 of the crus support guide 57, causing the tip of the crus support 22 to rise above the caster unit 10 that protrudes above the base 2, avoiding a collision between the crus support 22 and the caster unit 10, after which the slider 58 slides at the same height along the upper end surface 61 of the caster unit 10. On the other hand, when the protruding member does not protrude above the upper surface of the support base 3 (when the support base 3 is raised to an extent that the protruding member does not protrude above the support base 3), when the thigh support 21 is raised, the slider 58 at the tip of the lower leg support 22 slides at the same height along the upper surface of the support base frames 14, 15. When the thigh support 21 is lowered, the thigh support 21 moves in the opposite direction to the movement when it is raised. When the protruding member is provided with the lower leg support guide 57 in this way, the lower leg support 22 does not come into contact with the lower leg support guide 57 except when the support base 3 is near its lowest position, and the tip of the lower leg support 22 does not move up and down relative to the support base frames 14, 15. In addition, it is not limited to providing a horizontally long slider 58 at the tip of the lower leg support 22 so that the slider 58 slides along either the lower leg support guide 57 or the support frame 14, 15; a slider that slides along the lower leg support guide 57 and a slider that slides along the support frame 14, 15 may be provided separately at the tip of the lower leg support 22.

[0050] As explained above, in the reclining bed 1, the base end of the thigh support 21 that receives the thighs of a person lying down is provided on the support base 3 so as to be able to be raised and lowered, and the base end of the lower leg support 22 that receives the lower leg of a person lying down is provided at the tip of the thigh support 21 so as to be able to be bent up and down, so that the base end of the lower leg support 22 bends at the tip of the thigh support 21 as the thigh support 21 is raised and lowered. When the thigh support 21 is raised with the support base 3 at its lowest position relative to the base 2, the tip of the lower leg support 22 slides along the lower leg support guides 50, 57 that are provided to raise the tip of the lower leg support 22 above protruding members such as caster members 10, 11 that protrude above the support base 3, thereby avoiding collision between the tip of the lower leg support 22 and the protruding members.

[0051] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 configured as described above, the lower leg support 22 can be moved smoothly even when the support base 3 is lowered to the lowest position relative to the base 2, and damage due to collision between the lower leg support 22 and the protruding member can be prevented.

[0052] As a result, in the reclining bed 1, the support base 3 can be lowered to the lowest position so that the height between the receiving base 4 and the floor 49 is as low as possible, making it easier for a person to get on and off the reclining bed 1, and also making the caster parts 10, 11, etc. as large as possible so that the reclining bed 1 can be easily moved.

[0053] In addition, the reclining bed 1 is configured such that the lower leg support guides 50, 57 are arranged so as to be able to be accommodated in the recesses 54 provided in the lower part of the lower leg support 22, the upper surface of which supports the lower legs of a person reclining.

[0054] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 of the above configuration, the crus support guides 50, 57 are accommodated in the recess 54 of the crus support 22 when the support base 3 is lowered to its lowest position relative to the base 2, so even if the crus support guides 50, 57 are provided, the height between the support base 4 and the floor 49 can be reduced when the support base 3 is lowered to its lowest position.

[0055] In addition, the reclining bed 1 is configured such that a lower leg support guide 50 is provided on the support base 3, and the tip of the lower leg support 22 always slides along the lower leg support guide 50 when the thigh support 21 is raised or lowered, regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base 3.

[0056] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 having the above-described configuration, the movement of the lower leg support 22 linked to the raising and lowering of the thigh support 21 can be made uniform regardless of the raised and lowered state of the support base 3.

[0057] In addition, the reclining bed 1 is configured such that the lower leg support guide 57 is provided on a protruding member that protrudes above the support base 3 when the support base 3 is lowered to the lowest position relative to the base 2.

[0058] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 configured as described above, even if the protruding members such as the caster parts 10, 11 are changed to different sizes, collision between the protruding members and the tip of the lower leg support 22 can be avoided.

[0059] In addition, a slider 58 is provided at the tip of the lower leg support 22, and depending on the elevation state of the support base 3, when the protruding member protrudes above the support base 3, the slider 58 slides along the lower leg support guide 57, and when the protruding member does not protrude above the support base 3, the slider 58 slides along the support base 3 (support base frames 14, 15).

[0060] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 of the above configuration, by simply providing a common sliding body 58 at the tip of the lower leg support 22, it is possible to avoid collision between the protruding member and the tip of the lower leg support 22 regardless of the raised or lowered state of the support base 3.

[0061] The reclining bed 1 is configured so that the protruding members are caster parts 10, 11 provided on the base 2.

[0062] Therefore, in the reclining bed 1 having the above-described configuration, the caster parts 10, 11 can be made larger to make the reclining bed 1 easier to move.
