Abstract
Description
[0001] ARBOVIRUS MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
[0002] Technological sector of the invention
[0003]
[0001] In general, the present invention belongs to the public health technology sector and refers, more specifically, to a system that operates in real time, online, collecting field information, based on data provided by epidemiological agents, and managing it to speed up decision-making related to public health, basically consisting of a mobile application, which operates in the field online, or in any areas where there is no internet signal, that is, it can be used offline, synchronizing and sending inspection reports, for example, to the administration panel (endemic agents), when the connection is established.
[0004] Known state of the art
[0005]
[0002] Currently, the Competent Authorities in public health, municipalities and research and technological education entities are testing the use of field monitoring applications, however such applications are not capable of cross-referencing the information (with) stored with the health units.
[0006]
[0003] Today, the available applications only collect data from epidemiological agents, mapping only data for the LIRA (Rapid Survey of Indices for Aedes Aegypti), to later feed Excel® spreadsheets, with manual filling, without taking into account the basic health units in each region.
[0007]
[0004] In this sense, it appears that the applications currently available for the collection of epidemiological data serve only as a “notepad” that will later be manually transcribed into a spreadsheet.
[0008]
[0005] That said, there are also some alternatives that represent the current state of the art and that are described in patent documents. Some examples can be observed as in the case of invention patent no. sPI1002842-0 "EPIDEMIOLOGICAL MONITORING OF ENDEMIC DISEASES THROUGH A PROCESS FOR DETECTING HUMAN PATHOGENS IN CAPTURED VECTORS," which describes an epidemiological monitoring system for endemic diseases using a process to identify the presence of human pathogens within host vectors. The process also includes collecting vectors in the field and storing them under conditions that maintain the integrity of their genomes. The scope of this invention includes the continuous monitoring of the degree of infection of disease vectors in urban and rural areas, and at points of entry and exit for people in the country, such as ports and airports. More specifically, the invention describes the identification of the Aedes Aegypti type present in vector mosquitoes collected in different regions.
[0009]
[0006] However, as can be seen, the aforementioned system does not have any integration with public health systems, and is not used for real-time, online control of endemic variables, without the possibility of synchronizing and sending data in an integrated manner.
[0010]
[0007] There is also document PI0506220-9 “SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND CONTROLLING ENDEMIC DISEASES AND TRAP WITH SYNTHETIC OVIPOSITION ATTRACTIVES FOR CAPTURING MOSQUITOES” which describes a system for monitoring and controlling endemic and / or epidemic diseases, consisting of a form of vector capture capable of being carried out in any of the significant steps of their biological cycle; a standardized process for quantifying and establishing the degree of vector infestation that generates standardized reports; a data sending system that uses telecommunications, telelocation and computer resources for immediate communication of the data generated by the analysis of the captured vectors to a computerized center;software—and its corresponding database—that updates with each new data input—capable of issuing alarms and output reports and forwarding them, via telecommunications systems, to the relevant locations and social bodies, advocating Public Health actions. This system has the capacity to incorporate epidemic history into its database and monitor climatic conditions conducive to the outbreak of endemic diseases and medical and hospital demands, and "learn" from the episodes processed in a continuum of Public Health technology creation.
[0011]
[0008] However, similarly to the previous version presented above, it does not have integration with the database of basic health units, serving only to control climate and epidemiological vectors, basically consisting of a trap to attract mosquitoes and analyze them in the laboratory.
[0012]
[0009] Therefore, based on all the drawbacks existing in the systems and equipment currently used, described above in the state of the art, it is clear that there is a gap in the creation of a system that operates in real time, online, collecting field information, based on data provided by epidemiological agents, and managing it to speed up decision-making related to public health, basically consisting of a mobile application, which operates in the field online, or in any areas where there is no internet signal, that is, it can be used offline, synchronizing and sending inspection reports, for example, to the administrator panel (endemic agents), when the connection is established.
[0013] Novelties and objectives of the invention
[0014]
[0010] Because it is an integrated system, the invention proposed herein presents greater agility in data collection, greater agility in decision-making for interventions, greater agility in mapping risk areas, savings in the use of insecticides, larvicides, greater efficiency in preventive work, due to the data analysis being in real time, not requiring analysis of manually filled spreadsheets, which generates delays in decision-making.
[0011] Note that the system proposed herein carries out the real-time survey of property inspections by epidemiological agents, and in the same way carries out the survey of cases attended by municipal health units, in an integrated manner.
[0015]
[0012] In addition, it analyzes and cross-references data provided by epidemiological agents and health units in real time, facilitating the movement of chemical and larval intervention teams, cleaning efforts to collect possible water deposits that serve as breeding grounds, movement of field teams to carry out mowing and cleaning of land, service orders with details of locations with possible breeding grounds with the presence of larvae for outsourced companies.
[0016]
[0013] It also has the Municipal, State and Federal Administrator Panel, an interface that has complete access to the entire inspection routine, positive cases, cases under investigation and deaths, intervention actions, service orders for interventions, an administrator panel in the three administrative spheres with indicators of neighborhoods, municipalities, regions, states with high infestation rates, under attention and under control.
[0017]
[0014] Thus, with the aim of remedying the flaws in the current state of the art highlighted above, the present invention patent aims to propose a solution for real-time arbovirus monitoring and management systems.
[0018] Description of the attached drawings
[0019]
[0015] In order for the present invention to be fully understood and put into practice by any technician in this technological sector, it will be described in a clear, concise and sufficient manner, based on the attached drawings, which illustrate and support it, listed below:
[0020]
[0016] Figure 1 represents the system operation flowchart.
[0021]
[0017] Figure 2 represents the system connection block diagram.
[0022] Detailed description of the invention
[0023]
[0018] In order for a technician with reasonable knowledge of the subject to be able to fully develop the system described herein, such system is composed of a Field Application (1), a Health Unit Panel (2), a Municipal Administrator Panel (3), a State Administrator Panel (4) and a Federal Administrator Panel (5), all interconnected via network to a database (DB).
[0024]
[0019] The Field Application (1) is intended for collecting data from endemic agents (6) in the field, in which the agents (6) must enter the answers in the questionnaire pre-defined by the Ministry of Health, through which the inspections will subsequently be classified according to the degree of incidence of arboviruses and other signs, and reports generated with traceability at strategic points, for example, with or without the presence of larvae, with or without access to properties, monitoring of critical areas with infestation index, monitoring of strategic points, these being the basic collection data, functioning as a starting point for decision-making by the Competent Authorities (7).
[0025]
[0020] In the Health Unit Panel (2), the health unit attendants (2.1) fill out a pre-defined form with information about the patient treated with suspected arbovirus infection, the type of analysis performed (clinical or laboratory) and, subsequently, the reports are also classified and other traceability reports are generated, so that they can be cross-referenced with the data from the Field Application (1).
[0026]
[0021] In the Municipal Administrator Panel (3), data collected by field applications (1) of endemic agents (6) and by health units (2.1) are analyzed, mapping the areas and classifying them according to the degree of infestation and medical-hospital care.
[0027]
[0022] In the State Administrator Panel (4), data from the municipalities that make up the state are analyzed, generating reports and mapping the regions of the state and classifying them according to the degree of infestation, in addition to being able to access individual information for each municipality, being able to check the infestation locations of each municipality, their intervention actions, the volume of laboratory analyses carried out on site and their respective results.
[0028]
[0023] Finally, the Federal Administrator Panel (5) analyzes the data from the states that make up the federative unit, generating reports and mapping the regions and classifying them according to the degree of infestation, in addition to being able to access the individual information of each state and respective municipalities, being able to fully verify the infestation locations of each one, their intervention actions, the volume of laboratory analyses, and the results of said analyses.
[0029]
[0024] The arbovirus monitoring and management system disclosed herein operates in real time online, collecting field information and managing it to speed up decision-making related to interventions by the Competent Authorities (7).
[0030]
[0025] Such interventions may be, for example, chemical intervention, larvae, cleaning efforts to collect possible water deposits that serve as breeding grounds, deployment of field teams to carry out mowing and cleaning of land, service orders detailing the locations with possible breeding grounds with the presence of larvae for outsourced companies, reports with tracking code for positive outbreaks, real-time mapping of the infestation in the municipality.
[0031]
[0026] Note that the field application (1) can be used in offline mode, with inspection data being synchronized and sent to the administrator panel (3, 4 and 5) when an internet connection is established.
[0032]
[0027] Additionally, a QRCode may be implemented in each residence, facilitating the start of the property inspection by the agent (6), and the QRCode will be blocked from unauthorized access, that is, if an unauthorized person reads the QRCode, they will only have access to the dates of the visits, with complete information about the property being available, such as the presence of larvae, occurrences such as possible outbreaks, among others, only to duly registered and authorized agents (6).
[0033]
[0028] With the advancement of public health technologies, it is known that the functions of community health agent and endemic agent can be accumulated, this not being an impediment to the correct functioning of the system proposed here, quite the opposite; through this system, a single inspector (6) will be able to feed the database through the application in a fast, safe and unified way.
[0034]
[0029] The agent will be able to report, for example, the existence of dengue outbreaks, and, simultaneously, the presence of people with illnesses, (blood pressure, body temperature, blood sugar test, among other authorized basic analyses), also having an emergency button in the application itself, which can activate, in real time, the nearest health unit to dispatch an ambulance and / or doctor in cases of need.
