Description

[0001] Filter insert for insertion into a receiving structure of a filter unit

[0002] The invention relates to a filter insert for insertion into a receiving structure of a filter unit, comprising a filter medium through which a fluid to be filtered can flow, a seal which runs at least partially around the filter medium and which can be brought into contact with a sealing surface of the receiving structure by inserting the filter insert into the receiving structure, and at least one guide contour which defines an insertion path for at least one guide member of the receiving structure, along which the guide member can be guided when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure, wherein the guide contour comprises a longitudinal contour region which defines a longitudinal section of the insertion path, along which the guide member can be guided in a main insertion direction when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure.

[0003] The invention further relates to a receiving structure for receiving a filter insert, comprising an insertion region into which the filter insert can be inserted, a sealing surface which extends at least partially around the insertion region and which can be brought into contact with a seal of the filter insert by inserting the filter insert into the insertion region, and at least one guide member which, when the filter insert is inserted into the insertion region, can be guided along an insertion path of the filter insert defined by a guide contour of the filter insert, wherein the guide member is configured to be guided along a longitudinal section of the insertion path in a main insertion direction when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure. Furthermore, the invention relates to a filter unit comprising a filter insert and a receiving structure into which the filter insert can be inserted.

[0004] Flat insert filters are used in a variety of systems; they are inserted into a receiving structure of a filter unit. For example, complete filters with a filter insert and a housing are known from publications US 6808547 B2 and KR 101530186 B1. The filter insert is inserted into the housing and pressed against the sealing seat in the housing by means of wedge-shaped elements.

[0005] However, these and other solutions have a comparatively complex design and / or do not provide sufficient sealing compression, which can lead to unintentional leaks.

[0006] The object underlying the invention is therefore to improve the sealing of an insert filter.

[0007] The object is achieved by a filter insert of the type mentioned at the outset, wherein the guide contour of the filter insert according to the invention comprises a pressing contour region which defines a pressing section of the insertion path, along which the guide member can be guided deviating from the main insertion direction when inserting the filter insert into the receiving structure, wherein the seal can be brought into contact with the sealing surface of the receiving structure to form a, preferably circumferential, seal by guiding the guide member along the pressing section of the insertion path.

[0008] The longitudinal contour region of the guide contour is preferably rectilinear. The longitudinal section of the insertion path is preferably also rectilinear. The pressing section can be used to press the seal of the filter insert onto the sealing surface of the receiving structure, resulting, for example, in vertical compression of the seal. The pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour region can have a ramp-shaped profile, at least in sections. The pressing section can be designed such that the guide member does not lock into the pressing section. Alternatively, the pressing section can be designed such that the guide member locks into the pressing section. Depending on the orientation of the receiving structure, the main insertion direction can lie, for example, in a horizontal plane or in a vertical plane. In alternative embodiments, the main insertion direction can also be inclined relative to a horizontal plane or inclined relative to a vertical plane.

[0009] The filter insert can be adapted for filtering air. The filter insert can have a cuboid shape. The filter medium can be a multiply folded or pleated flat material.

[0010] The filter insert may have a magnetic region, for example a magnetic strip, via which the filter insert can be magnetically held on or in the receiving structure.

[0011] In a preferred embodiment of the filter insert according to the invention, the at least one guide contour is part of a contour support part connected to the filter medium or supporting the filter medium. The contour support part can be fixed laterally to the filter medium; for example, the contour support part can be glued laterally to the filter medium. The filter medium can be pleated, i.e., have a plurality of folds. The lateral edges of the folds can be closed and sealed with an adhesive. The contour support part can also be a support frame that supports the filter medium.

[0012] In another preferred embodiment, the filter insert according to the invention has at least one contour arrangement with a plurality of guide contours, which define insertion paths for spaced-apart and / or at least partially parallel guide members of the receiving structure, along which the guide members can be guided when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure. The guide contours each comprise a longitudinal contour region, which defines a longitudinal section of the respective insertion path, along which the respective guide member can be guided in the main insertion direction when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure. The longitudinal sections of the insertion paths preferably run parallel to one another. The guide contours further each comprise a pressing contour area which defines a pressing section of the respective insertion path, along which the respective guide member can be guided when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure, deviating from the main insertion direction. The pressing sections of the insertion paths preferably run parallel to one another. The filter insert can, for example, have a contour arrangement on only one side, via which the filter insert is guided on one side when inserted into the receiving structure. The filter insert can, for example, have a contour arrangement on each of two sides, via which the filter insert is guided on both sides when inserted into the receiving structure. The filter insert can have one or more contour carrier parts, wherein the one or more contour carrier parts can each comprise one or more contour arrangements.

[0013] In a further preferred embodiment of the filter insert according to the invention, the seal runs at least partially inclined relative to the main insertion direction. Because the seal runs at least partially inclined relative to the main insertion direction, the seal approaches the receiving structure along the longitudinal section of the sealing surface when the filter insert is inserted. The sealing surface of the receiving structure preferably has the same inclination relative to the main insertion direction as the seal of the filter insert. Alternatively, the seal can run at least partially parallel to the main insertion direction on the side of the filter insert on which the at least one guide contour also runs.

[0014] The filter insert according to the invention is further advantageously developed in that the pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour area is designed such that, upon application of an insertion force acting in the main insertion direction, the filter insert is moved along the pressing section in a pressing direction inclined relative to the main insertion direction due to the guidance of the guide member. The guide member is preferably guided along an inclined or curved plane in the pressing section.

[0015] In a further development of the filter insert according to the invention, the pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour region has an arcuate or curved profile, at least in sections. The pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour region can also have a straight profile. When inserting the filter insert into the receiving structure, the guide member is first guided along the longitudinal section of the insertion path and then along the pressing section of the insertion path. If the pressing section of the insertion path has a straight profile, the seal preferably runs at an angle to the pressing direction, at least in sections. The main insertion direction and the pressing direction also run at an angle to one another.

[0016] In an advantageous development of the filter insert according to the invention, the longitudinal section of the insertion path defined by the longitudinal contour region is longer than the pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour region. The longitudinal section of the insertion path defined by the longitudinal contour region is at least twice, four times, or six times longer than the pressing section of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour region.

[0017] In a further development of the filter insert according to the invention, the one or more guide contours each comprise an upper guide web running above the insertion path and / or a lower guide web running below the insertion path. The upper guide web and / or the lower guide web result in a guide path for the guide member that is delimited on the upper and lower sides. The guide webs act like stiffening ribs and ensure increased stability. In particular, if the filter insert has a contour arrangement on only one side, via which the filter insert is guided on one side when inserted into the receiving structure, the upper guide web and the lower guide web can form a T-slot in which a T-shaped guide member is guided.

[0018] The filter insert according to the invention is further developed by an at least partially circumferential and outwardly projecting support web, wherein the seal is arranged on the support web and / or runs along the support web. The seal can be, for example, a foam rubber seal. The seal can be glued to the support web. The seal can be formed from an elastomer material and / or injection-molded onto the support web.

[0019] The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a receiving structure of the type mentioned at the outset, wherein the guide member of the receiving structure according to the invention is designed to be guided along a pressing section of the insertion path deviating from the main insertion direction when the filter insert is inserted into the receiving structure, wherein the sealing surface can be brought into contact with the seal of the filter insert by guiding the guide member along the pressing section of the insertion path to form a preferably circumferential seal. The receiving structure according to the invention is preferably designed to receive a filter insert according to one of the embodiments described above. With regard to the advantages and modifications of the receiving structure according to the invention, reference is therefore first made to the advantages and modifications of the filter insert according to the invention.

[0020] The sealing surface can be inclined relative to the main insertion direction, at least in some sections. Alternatively, the sealing surface can be parallel to the main insertion direction, at least in some sections.

[0021] In a further development of the receiving structure according to the invention, the at least one guide member is designed as an inwardly projecting guide pin. The guide pin can have a circular cross-section. Alternatively, the guide member can also have a cross-section in which the cross-sectional width deviates from the cross-sectional length. The guide member can therefore also have an oval cross-section or a stadium-shaped cross-section, for example. The guide member can alternatively be designed as a guide web or as a guide roller. Because the guide member is designed as a guide web with an elongated cross-section, unintentional tilting of the filter insert can be prevented. For this purpose, the longitudinal contour region has a contour height that essentially corresponds to the height of the guide member. When the guide member is guided along the guide contour, tilting of the filter insert is thus effectively prevented.

[0022] Furthermore, a receiving structure according to the invention is preferred which comprises at least one link arrangement with a plurality of guide links. When the filter insert is inserted into the insertion area, the plurality of guide links can be guided along insertion paths of the filter insert that are predetermined by guide contours of the filter insert and spaced apart from one another. The receiving structure can, for example, have a link arrangement on only one side, via which the filter insert is guided on one side when inserted into the receiving structure. The receiving structure can, for example, have a link arrangement on each of two sides, via which the filter insert is guided on both sides when inserted into the receiving structure.

[0023] In a further development of the receiving structure according to the invention, the guide members are arranged spaced apart from one another in the insertion direction and / or perpendicular to the insertion direction. The guide members are spaced apart from one another, for example, by a longitudinal distance and / or a vertical distance.

[0024] In another preferred embodiment, the receiving structure according to the invention has a securing element which is designed to hold the filter insert in an operating position in which the filter insert is pushed into the receiving structure and the seal of the filter insert is in contact with the sealing surface of the receiving structure, and / or to exert a contact force on the filter insert when the filter insert is in the operating position. The securing element can be movable and lockable in a securing position in which the securing element holds the filter insert in the operating position and exerts a contact force on the filter insert. The contact force ensures sufficient sealing compression. The securing element can be a pivotable securing flap. The securing element can also be a fixable housing cover.

[0025] The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a filter unit of the type mentioned above, wherein the filter insert of the filter unit according to the invention is designed according to one of the embodiments described above. Alternatively or additionally, the receiving structure of the filter unit according to the invention is designed according to one of the embodiments described above. With regard to the advantages and modifications of the filter unit according to the invention, reference is therefore made to the advantages and modifications of the filter insert according to the invention and the advantages and modifications of the receiving structure according to the invention.

[0043] Fig. 18 shows the filter unit shown in Fig. 16 with the filter insert fully inserted in a side sectional view.

[0044] Figs. 1 and 2 show a filter insert 10 for insertion into a receiving structure 50 of a filter unit 100.

[0045] The filter insert 10 comprises a filter medium 12 through which a fluid to be filtered can flow. The fluid to be filtered can be, for example, a gas or gas mixture, in particular air. The filter medium 12 is pleated and thus has a plurality of folds.

[0046] The filter medium 12 is supported by a contour support part 14 designed as a support frame. The contour support part 14 has a contour arrangement 16a on a first long side and a second contour arrangement 16b on a second opposite long side.

[0047] The contour arrangements 16a and 16b each comprise three guide contours 18a-18c. The guide contours 18a-18c of the respective contour arrangements 16a, 16b are spaced apart from one another and define insertion paths for spaced-apart guide members 58a-58c of the receiving structure 50, along which the guide members 58a-58c can be guided when the filter insert 10 is inserted into the receiving structure 50. The insertion paths defined by the guide contours 18a-18c run parallel to one another in sections.

[0048] The guide contours 18a-18c each comprise a longitudinal contour region 20a-20c, along which the respective guide member 58a-58c can be guided in a main insertion direction x when inserting the filter insert 10 into the receiving structure 50. The longitudinal sections of the insertion paths defined by the guide contours 18a-18c run parallel to one another.

[0049] The guide contours 18a-18c further each comprise a pressing contour area 22a-22c, which defines a pressing section of the respective insertion path, along which the respective guide member 58a-58c can be guided when inserting the filter insert 10 into the receiving structure 50, deviating from the main insertion direction x.

[0050] The contoured support part 14 further comprises a circumferential support web 24, which runs along the side surfaces inclined with respect to the main insertion direction x. The support web 24 runs at an inclination angle α to the main insertion direction x. In the illustrated embodiment, the inclination angle α is approximately 10°. In other embodiments, the inclination angle α can be in a range between 5 and 45°. A circumferential seal 26 runs on the underside of the support web 24. The seal 26 can be brought into contact with a sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50 by inserting the filter insert 10 into the receiving structure 50. The seal 26 can be brought into contact with the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50 to form a circumferential seal by guiding the guide members 58a-58c along the pressing sections of the insertion path defined by the pressing contour regions 22a-22c.

[0051] Figs. 3 to 8 show the insertion of a filter insert 10 into a receiving structure 50 of a filter unit 100.

[0052] The receiving structure 50, connected to a connecting piping 52, has an insertion area 54 into which the filter insert 10 can be inserted. Link assemblies 56a, 56b are located on the walls of the receiving structure 50 that laterally border the insertion area 54. The link assemblies 56a, 56b each comprise three guide members 58a-58c. The guide members 58a-58c are inwardly projecting guide pins. The guide members 58a-58c of the respective link assemblies 56a, 56b are arranged spaced apart from one another in the insertion direction x and perpendicular to the insertion direction x.

[0053] The guide members 58a-58c of the link arrangement 56a are guided by the guide contours 18a-18c of the contour arrangement 16a. The guide members 58a-58c of the link arrangement 56b are guided by the guide contours 18a-18c of the contour arrangement 16b. Figures 3 and 4 show that when inserting the filter insert 10 in the main insertion direction x, which in this case is a horizontal direction, the guide members 58a of the link arrangements 56a, 56b are first inserted into the guide contours 18a of the contour arrangements 16a, 16b.

[0054] When the filter insert 10 is pushed in further in the main insertion direction x, the guide members 58a are moved along the longitudinal section of the insertion path defined by the longitudinal contour regions 20a.

[0055] During further insertion, the guide members 58b are first inserted into the guide contours 18b and then the guide members 58c are inserted into the guide contours 18c.

[0056] Figs. 5 and 6 show an insertion state in which the guide members 58a-58c have already passed the longitudinal contour regions 20a-20c of the respective guide contours 18a-18c and are located in the transition region between the longitudinal contour regions 20a-20c and the compression contour regions 22a-22c. In this state, the circumferential seal 26 of the filter insert 10 is already in the vicinity of the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50. To bring the seal 26 of the filter insert 10 into contact with the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50, the filter insert 10 is now moved deviating from the main insertion direction x.

[0057] Figs. 7 and 8 show that the pressing contour areas 22a-22c of the guide contours 18a-18c, which run inclined relative to the longitudinal contour areas 20a-20c, enable the filter insert 10 to be lowered and thus the seal 26 and the sealing surface 60 to be brought into contact.

[0058] The receiving structure 50 has a lockable securing element 62 designed as a flap, by means of which the filter insert 10 is held in the operating position, in which the filter insert 10 is fully inserted into the receiving structure 50 and the seal 26 of the filter insert 10 is in contact with the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50. The securing element 62 also exerts a contact force on the filter insert 10, by means of which the seal 26 is pressed onto the sealing surface 60. The contact force exerted by the securing element 62 on the filter insert 10 acts in the main insertion direction x. The securing element 62 designed as a securing flap can be locked in the illustrated securing position, in which the securing element 62 holds the filter insert 10 in the operating position and exerts a contact force on the filter insert 10.

[0059] Figs. 9 and 10 show the insertion process of another filter insert 10 into another receiving structure 50. Unlike the filter inserts shown in Figs. 1 to 8, the seal 26 on the outer long sides of the filter insert 10 now runs not on the outside of the guide contours 18a-18c, but on the inside of the guide contours 18a-18c. The seal 26 of the filter inserts is concealed in Figs. 9 and 10. The arrangement is selected such that the seal 26 is in contact with the circumferential sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50 when the filter insert 10 is fully inserted.

[0060] The contour arrangements 16a, 16b of the contour carrier part 14 each have three guide contours 18a-18c in which the guide members 58a-58c of the member arrangements 56a, 56b of the receiving structure 50 can be guided.

[0061] 11 and 12 show a filter unit 100 in which the contour support part 14 designed as a support frame for the filter medium 12 has only one guide contour 18 with a longitudinal contour region 20 and a pressing contour region 22 on the outer long sides.

[0062] The receiving structure 50 therefore has only one guide member 58 on each of the walls laterally delimiting the insertion region 54, which guide member is guided by the respective guide contour 18. Unintentional tilting of the filter insert 10 is prevented by the fact that the guide members 58 are designed as guide webs with an elongated cross-section. Because the contour height 28a of the longitudinal contour regions 20 essentially corresponds to the height of the guide members 58, tilting of the filter insert 10 when guiding the guide members 58 along the guide contours 18 is effectively prevented. So that the filter insert 10 can be moved deviating from the main insertion direction x for bringing the seal 26 of the filter insert 10 into contact with the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50, the pressing contour regions 22 have a deviating contour height 28b, which essentially corresponds to the width of the guide members 58.

[0063] Fig. 13 shows a filter unit 100 designed as a so-called V-rack. The filter unit 100 has two filter inserts 10a, 10b, which are inserted into the receiving structure 50. The securing element 62 in this case is a screwed-on plate that acts as a housing cover and presses the filter inserts 10a, 10b into the receiving structure 50.

[0064] Fig. 14 shows that the receiving structure 50 has two insertion areas 54a, 54b. The insertion areas 54a, 54b are laterally

[0065] Wall segments of the receiving structure 50 are delimited, wherein these wall segments have opposing link arrangements 56a, 56b, each with two guide links 58a, 58b. The guide links 58a, 58b are inwardly projecting guide pins.

[0066] Fig. 15 shows the filter insert 10a. The filter insert 10a comprises two contour support parts 14a, 14b. The contour support part 14a is located on a first outer long side of the filter medium 12. The contour support part 14b is located on a second outer long side of the filter medium 12. The contour support parts 14a, 14b can, for example, be glued laterally to the filter medium 12.

[0067] The contour support part 14a has a contour arrangement 16a with two guide contours 18a, 18b. The contour support part 14b arranged on the opposite side of the filter medium 12 comprises a contour arrangement 16b with two guide contours 18a, 18b.

[0068] The guide contours 18a, 18b each have a longitudinal contour area 20a, 20b and a pressing contour area 22a, 22b.

[0069] The filter insert 10b also has a front surface 30. Figs. 16 to 18 show the insertion of the filter insert 10b into the insertion area 54b of the receiving structure 50. When inserting the filter insert 10 in the main insertion direction x, the guide members 58a are first inserted into the guide contours 18a. Subsequently, the guide members 58b are inserted into the guide contours 18b. Fig. 16 shows that the orthogonal line of the front surface 30 runs at an angle relative to the main insertion direction x.

[0070] Fig. 17 shows an insertion state in which the guide members 58a, 58b have reached the transition region between the longitudinal contour regions 20a, 20b and the compression contour regions 22a, 22b of the guide contours 18a, 18b. By further pressing the filter insert 10b down in the main insertion direction x, the circumferential seal 26 of the filter insert 10b is brought into contact with the sealing surface 60 of the receiving structure 50.

[0071] By fixing the securing element 62, designed as a cover plate, as shown in Fig. 18, the filter inserts 10a, 10b are held in the operating position, in which the filter inserts 10a, 10b are fully inserted into the receiving structure 50 and the seals 26 of the filter inserts 10a, 10b are in contact with the sealing surfaces 60 of the receiving structure. Furthermore, the securing element 62 exerts a contact force on the filter inserts 10a, 10b when the filter inserts 10a, 10b are in the operating position.
