[0002] ION-ELECTRONIC WASTE RECYCLING PLANT

[0003] The invention relates to devices for recycling waste in a solid and / or liquid state, in particular to devices for recycling using the ion-electron destruction method.

[0004] A waste processing reactor is known according to Russian patent No. 2786209 (published on 19.12.2022), in which the reactor is in the form of a closed cavity made with an inlet connected to a waste feed device and with an outlet for removing gaseous destruction products, while the internal surfaces of the cavity are partially or completely made conductive, and an electrode insulated from them is introduced into the reactor, connected to a source of high-voltage voltage pulses, and the size of the gap between the electrode and the conductive surfaces of the cavity ensures the formation of corona discharge streamers.

[0005] The disadvantage of the reactor is that the corona discharge streamers are formed in a limited area around the electrode, which makes waste processing at a distance from the electrode difficult, and also that a high-voltage pulse source must be used to operate the reactor.

[0006] The technical result that the invention is aimed at obtaining is the creation of a plant for ion-electronic waste processing, characterized by an increased formation zone and increased density of corona discharge streamers, as well as the absence of the need to use high-voltage sources.

Moreover, the swirler 41 is made in the form of a single-pass metal screw with a blade 42 connected to the inner surface of the outer cylinder 40. In this case, the internal space of the reactor 1 is separated from the second outlet 3 by means of a charged particle filter 26,reflecting charged particles into the interior of reactor 1. The charged particle filter 26 is made in the form of two truncated regular pyramids with lower bases located in one plane 28, with upper bases located in another plane 27, rotated relative to each other around their common axis, wherein in the planes of the lateral faces of the truncated pyramids there are metal plates in the form of trapezoids 29 and 30, connected to the metal plates of the upper 27 and lower 28 bases, located in the planes of the upper and lower bases of the truncated pyramids so that between the lateral edges of the adjacent plates 29 and 30 of the lateral faces there are gaps 31, and the plate of the upper base 27 is made in the form of a rectangle with openings 37, shifted from the axis of the truncated pyramids towards the first inlet opening 2 of the reactor 1,and, directed towards the lower base 28, by ribs 35, wherein, located under the plate of the upper base 27, the plate of the lateral face of one of the truncated pyramids is missing, and at the place of attachment to the lower base 28 of the missing plate of the lateral face, a lateral metal plate 33 with stiffening ribs 34 on the surface facing the axis of the truncated pyramids is attached, connected by its second end to the free end of the plate 27 of the upper base, and the plate of the lower base 28 is made with openings 38 and with ribs 36 directed in the direction opposite to the upper base 27. An expansion tank 15 is connected to the outlet of the device for cleaning gases from organic contaminants 10,connected to an exhaust air fan 11 directing gaseous products of destruction 20 into an outlet pipe 13 connected to it. In this case, the outlet of a triboelectric source of charged particles of matter 7 is connected to the second inlet opening 6 in the cavity of the reactor body 1, and the inlet of a source of charged particles of matter 7 equipped with a reflector 17 of charged particles in the form of a conical grid attached on insulators to the inner surface in the lower part of the inner pipe 25.2 of the triboelectric source of charged particles of matter 7 is connected to the first outlet opening 12 in the cavity of the reactor body 1. The surfaces 5 of the water cooling circuit 16, on which condensation of the products of destruction is carried out, are made of steel. The bottom 8 of the reactor 1 is made with a bath 14 and filled with water 19, under a layer of which liquid products of destruction 21 heavier than water are collected, condensed in reactor 1. Pipeline 18 is designed to remove liquid destruction products 22 condensed in expansion tank 15. A charged particle filter 26 on insulators 26.1 is connected to the inner walls 4 of reactor 1. The triboelectric source of charged particles of matter 7 comprises vertically arranged, outer 25.1 and inner 25.2 hollow cylinders, arranged coaxially with a gap between them, and a reflector 25.3 fixed to the upper end of the outer cylinder 25.1, directing the flow of gases 24 with uncharged particles of matter, formed by the exhaust air fan 25, from the inner cylinder 25.2 in the direction of the gap between the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2, wherein the fan 25 is made with a blade span diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the inner cylinder 25.2, and in addition, the triboelectric source of charged particles of matter 7 comprises a charged particle reflector 17 at the first outlet opening 12,made in the form of a metal conical grid fixed through insulators on the inner surface of the inner cylinder 25.2, and providing for the reflection of charged particles into the reactor 1 and passing the particles of matter discharged in the reactor 1 into the inner cylinder 25.2 of the triboelectric source of charged particles of matter 7. The choice of the material of the particles of matter and the material of the surfaces of cylinders 25.1 and 25.2 facing the gap between them is made based on the fact that when two chemically identical bodies rub, the denser of them receives positive charges. When metals rub against a dielectric, they become electrified both positively and negatively. When two dielectrics rub, the dielectric with the greater permittivity is positively charged.

[0032] Substances can be arranged in triboelectric series, in which the previous body is electrified positively, and the next one negatively (Faraday series: (+) fur, flannel, ivory, feathers, rock crystal, flint glass, paper fabric, silk, wood, metals, sulfur (-)). For dielectrics arranged in the triboelectric series, a decrease in hardness is observed (Gesehus series: (+) diamond (hardness 10), topaz (8), rock crystal (7), smooth glass (5), mica (3), calcite (3), sulfur (2), wax (1) (-)); for metals, an increase in hardness is characteristic. The electrification of rubbing bodies is greater, the larger their surface. Dust sliding along the surface of the body from which it was formed (marble, glass, snow dust) is electrified negatively. Triboelectricity in solids is explained by the transfer of charge carriers from one body to another. In metals and semiconductors, triboelectricity is caused by the transfer of electrons from a substance with a lower work function (Ф) to a substance with a higher Ф.When a metal contacts a dielectric, triboelectricity occurs due to the transfer of electrons from the metal to the dielectric. When two dielectrics rub, triboelectricity is caused by the diffusion of electrons and ions.

[0033] The ion-electronic waste processing plant operates as follows. For example, a portion of compressed household waste is fed into the internal cavity of the reactor 1 through the inlet 2 from the device for feeding the processed waste 9, with the passage of atmospheric air inside the housing 1 being limited. At the same time, charged particles of matter are fed into the cavity of the reactor housing 1 through the second inlet 6 from the source of charged particles of matter 7, in which, during friction of the air flow with particles of matter 24 in the gap between the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2 against the internal surface of the outer cylinder 25.1 and / or the external surface of the inner cylinder 25.2, these surfaces of the cylinders are charged (for example, positively). After this, the air with charged (negatively) particles of matter forms flows 23, which enter the reactor 1.Some of the charged particles of matter from the flows 23 together with the uncharged particles can be drawn by the suction axial fan 25 to the charged particle reflector 17, then upon contact with it the charged particles of matter transfer their (negative) charge to it, and then, already neutral, are directed through the openings in the grid of the charged particle reflector 17 towards the reflector 25.3 of the gas flows with the uncharged particles of matter 24. In this case, the remaining charged particles of matter from the flows 23 will begin to be repelled by electrostatic forces from the charged particle reflector 17 towards the inner cavity of the reactor. Those charged particles of matter from the flows 23 nevertheless penetrated through the openings in the grid of the charged particle reflector 17 into the inner cylinder, are directed with the flow 24 towards the reflector 25.3, where they lose their charge, form, together with the remaining uncharged particles of matter, a flow 24 of uncharged particles of matter, which is directed by the exhaust air fan 25 into the gap between the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2, where the uncharged particles of matter are again charged (negatively) due to friction against the surface of the gap between the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2, and are again directed into the reactor 1. In this case, the surfaces of the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2 are charged to voltages at which the leakage current of the material of the surfaces of the cylinders 25.1 and 25.2 compensates for the current of their charge due to friction against the surface of the gap of the flow 24 with the particles of matter.

[0034] In reactor 1, as is known from source [1], charged particles, interacting with each other, begin to generate corona discharge streamers, which begin to multiply and spread in different directions from the particles, gradually filling the entire volume of the cavity of the reactor 1 body. The electrons of the corona discharge streamers affect the water contained in the incoming waste, causing the formation of free radicals during the destruction of the water molecule H2O ^OH* + H*. In addition, other active substances O3, O2(a1A), H2O2, OH, O(3P), NO, HNO2 and HNO3 are formed in the reactor under the influence of corona discharge streamers. Corona discharge streamers are also a source of ultraviolet (UV) radiation. The specified active substances and UV radiation have a destructive effect on any organic and inorganic substances contained in the processed waste, leading to their destruction with the formation of harmless gaseous reaction products - water and carbon dioxide.Inorganic components of waste are destroyed by acids HNO2 and HNOs, which are formed in reactor 1 under the influence of corona discharge. The process of oxidation of organic substances in water is a chain reaction [2]. Initiation of a chain reaction at a low speed can be carried out by atmospheric oxygen and ozone. At a high speed, a chain reaction is initiated by OH* radicals. That is, ion-electron destruction of both organic and inorganic substances present in the waste is carried out in the device, and on the metal surfaces 5 of the water cooling circuit 18, the water temperature in which is maintained lower than the temperature in reactor 1, condensation of vapors of various destruction products 21 occurs, which flow down the surface 5 to the bottom of the bath 14 of reactor 1.Part of the charged particles of matter from the flows 23 together with the uncharged particles (including the waste destruction products) are attracted by the exhaust air fan 11 to the charged particle filter 26, and upon contact with it, the charged particles of matter transfer their (negative) charge to it, and then, already neutral, are directed through the gaps 41 and the openings 37 and 38 into the second outlet opening 3 of the reactor 1, wherein the charge acquired by the charged particle filter during the accumulation of static charge begins to reflect the charged particles into the internal space of the reactor 1, which leads to an increase in their density, and, accordingly, to an increase in the number of corona discharge streamers that generate active particles, that is, to an increase in the efficiency of waste destruction in the reactor.Through the second outlet 3 of the reactor 1, the steam-gas flow 43, due to the exhaust air fan 11, enters the device for cleaning gases from organic contaminants 10, where the steam-gas products of destruction, containing a large amount of microdroplets of water, as well as organic residues of the decomposition of organic waste, entering the swirler 41, form a vortex flow, wherein the microdroplets of water contained in the flow 43, as a result of the swirling of the flow, collide with each other. From the source [3] it is known that when water drops collide with each other, they become charged. It is also known that charged microdroplets of water, when colliding, generate flashes of corona discharges [4]. In this case, each corona discharge is accompanied by the formation of corona discharge streamers. Thus, in the swirler 41, generation of corona discharge streamers is carried out, the energy of a significant number of electrons in which, according to theoretical calculations [5], exceeds 10 eV, which is sufficient to destroy covalent chemical bonds in organic pollutants contained in the flow 43. Most of these bonds are characterized by a destruction energy of about 4 eV (1 eV = 23.06 kcal / mol = 96.4 kJ / mol.) [6, 7] and can be destroyed as a result of collisions with electrons, the energy of which exceeds the energy of rupture of the corresponding bond. As a result of such collisions, organic pollutants disintegrate into simpler substances (C, H2, H2O, CO2), reducing the degree of contamination of the flow 43 with organic pollutants.Next, the purified flow 44 is directed into the expansion tank 15, where, during adiabatic expansion, cooling and condensation of the vapors of various destruction products occurs in the form of liquid 22, which accumulates at its bottom and is then discharged through pipeline 18. The purified vapor-gas flow 20 is directed through the exhaust air fan 11 into the outlet pipe 13 and is discharged into the atmosphere.

[0035] Thus, the stated technical result is achieved in the form of the creation of a plant for ion-electronic processing of both organic and inorganic substances present in the composition of household waste, characterized by an increased formation zone and increased density of corona discharge streamers, as well as the absence of the need to use high-voltage sources.
