[0029] FIG. 1A illustrates a side view of the device installed in the tyre and wheel, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0030] Referring first to FIG. 1A, the present invention discloses a device and method of electrical power generation that utilizes tyre air pressure to generate electricity. The method employs an electrical generation device 100 installed in the wheel and connected to the pneumatic tyre, wherein the pneumatic tyre is divided into four sections (102-1 to 102-4) each separated from one another, as indicated by section dividers or seperators 104. First section 102-1 of the tyre is connected with cylinder inlet / outlet 106-1, second section 102-2 of the tyre is connected with cylinder inlet / outlet 106-2, third section 102-3 of the tyre is connected with cylinder inlet / outlet 106-3, and fourth section 102-4 of the tyre is connected with cylinder inlet / outlet 106-4. In FIG. 1A, linear dynamo 108 is connected to the pneumatic cylinder shaft 110. The pneumatic cylinder includes first side 112-1, second side 112-2, and piston 114.

[0031] As the wheel rotates, each of the four sections / parts of the tyre successively contacts the road. When first section 102-1 touches the road, the weight of the vehicle exerts pressure on first section 102-1 of the tyre, generating pressure in second side 112-2 of the pneumatic cylinder, causing piston 114 to move towards first side 112-1 of the cylinder. Subsequently, when second section 102-2 of the tyre contacts the road, pressure is generated in the second section of the tyre, resulting in pressure in first side 112-1 of the pneumatic cylinder, causing piston 114 to move towards second side 112-2 of the pneumatic cylinder. This process repeats as third section 102- 3 of the tyre touches the road, generating pressure in the third section 102-3 of the tyre and thereby in second side 112-2 of the pneumatic cylinder, moving piston 114 towards first side 112-1 of the cylinder. Similarly, when fourth section 102-4 of the tyre contacts the road, pressure is created in the fourth section 102-4 of the tyre and subsequently in first side 112-1 of the pneumatic cylinder, causing piston 114 to move towards second side 112-2 of the cylinder. As the wheel continuously rotates, piston114 undergoes continuous linear movement back and forth. The shaft of piston 114 is connected to a linear electrical generator, thereby enabling the continuous operation of the linear electrical generator. So, the linear electrical generator generates electrical power.

[0032] In an implementation of an embodiment, consider a passenger vehicle equipped with the electrical generation device as described. The vehicle's wheels are fitted with pneumatic tyres divided into four sections, each separated by section dividers. As the vehicle moves, the rotation of the wheels causes each section of the pneumatic tyre to sequentially contact the road surface. When the first section of the tyre contacts the road, the weight of the vehicle exerts pressure on this section, generating pressure within the connected side of the pneumatic cylinder, causing the piston to move towards the opposite side. This movement of the piston is directly linked to the shaft of a linear electrical generator, resulting in the generation of electrical power.

[0033] As the wheel continues to rotate, the second section of the tyre contacts the road, generating pressure that moves the piston in the opposite direction, thereby maintaining the linear movement of the piston and the continuous operation of the linear electrical generator. This process is repeated for the third and fourth sections of the tyre, ensuring a constant back- and-forth movement of the piston, which translates into continuous electrical power generation.

[0034] FIG. IB illustrates a side view of the device, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. In an embodiment, the linear alternator is essentially a linear motor utilized as an electrical generator. An alternator is a type of alternating current (AC) electrical generator. These devices are often physically equivalent, with the principal difference being their application and the direction of energy flow. An alternator converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, whereas a motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Similar to many electric motors and electric generators, the linear alternator operates based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. However, while most alternators operate with rotary motion, linear alternators function with linear motion, specifically motion in a straight line.

[0035] For dividing the tyre pressure, the separator 104 is positioned at different points within the tyre. The width of the separator is configured based on the air or gas pressure. The shaft 110 is utilized to enhance movement in the alternator, thereby increasing efficiency. The shaft can be divided at a 2: 1 ratio from a specified point to further increase movement. The pneumatic cylinder 116, also known as an air cylinder, is a mechanical device that usescompressed air to produce linear motion. The section (102-1 to 102-4) of the pneumatic tyre are connected to a common inlet / outlet 118 for fdling compressed air or gas.

[0036] FIG. 1C illustrates a schematic view of a pneumatic cylinder, a linear dynamo, and the shaft of the device, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure. The pneumatic cylinder 116 is shown connected to the linear dynamo 108, which converts the linear motion generated by the cylinder into electrical energy. The shaft 110, positioned between the pneumatic cylinder 116 and the linear dynamo 108, transmits the mechanical force, facilitating the efficient operation of the device. This configuration exemplifies the integration of mechanical and electrical components to achieve a synergistic functionality in the device.

[0037] FIG. 2 illustrates a side view of a pneumatic cylinder and linear dynamo connected with shaft, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0038] Referring to FIG. 2, the side view of the pneumatic cylinder 116 with two inlets / outlets and a linear dynamo 108 is illustrated. In FIG. 2, In an embodiment, inlet / outlet of the pneumatic cylinder 106-2, other side of the inlet / outlet of the pneumatic cylinder 106- 3, the linear dynamo 108, the piston 114 of the pneumatic cylinder, and connecting shaft 110. In the present disclosure, the tyre air pressure can be divided into any number of parts deemed suitable to maximize electrical energy generation. Additionally, any number of inlets / outlets can be utilized in the pneumatic cylinder 116 to optimize the generation of electrical energy.

[0039] FIG. 3 illustrates a side view of linear dynamo between two pneumatic cylinders connected with both pneumatic cylinder and shaft, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0040] Referring to FIG. 3, depicts a side view of a linear dynamo 302 positioned between two pneumatic cylinders (304-1, 304-2), connected to both pneumatic cylinders via a shaft 306. In FIG. 3, inlet / outlet 308-1 of first side of pneumatic cylinder 304-1, first piston 310-1 of pneumatic cylinder 304-1, linear dynamo 302, second piston 310-2 of pneumatic cylinder 304-2, the inlet / outlet 308-2 of the second side of pneumatic cylinder 304-2, and connecting shaft 306 is disclosed.

[0041] The present disclosure allows for the use of a linear dynamo between two pneumatic cylinders connected via the shaft, as illustrated in FIG. 3. In the tyre or tube, any gas such as nitrogen or air can be utilized within this system. This technology is applicable to both tubeless tires and tubes. An electronic circuit can be installed to supply electric output.

[0042] Alternative technologies, such as piezoelectric materials, may also be employed to generate electric energy by connecting with the piston rod through different mechanisms. The present disclosure leverages the inherent vibration of the pneumatic cylinder piston, which can be converted into electrical energy. The present disclosure encompasses the conversion of vibration energy into electrical energy. The pneumatic tyre can be filled with gases such as nitrogen, other gases, or a mixture of gases, like air. The method of the present invention can be implemented using any type of tube within the tyre of a rotating wheel or any type of tyre, including tubeless tyres. Any arrangement that provides a substantial mechanical advantage to translate a short but powerful linear motion into rotational energy could be utilized in the electrical generation device of the present invention. A rotational electrical generator can be employed in the device of the present invention as an alternative to the linear dynamo.

[0043] Thus, the present invention overcomes the drawbacks, shortcomings, and limitations associated with existing solutions, and provides a device that efficiently generates electrical power by utilizing the air pressure and vibrations within a pneumatic tyre, enhancing the overall energy conversion process. This device incorporates both linear dynamo and piezoelectric materials, allowing for multiple methods of energy generation and improving energy capture from various mechanical motions. It is compatible with different types of tyres, including tubeless tyres, making it versatile and applicable to a wide range of vehicle designs. The device can be filled with various gases such as nitrogen or air, optimizing the pressure response and ensuring the durability of the pneumatic tyre under different operating conditions. Additionally, the device can employ a rotational electrical generator as an alternative to a linear dynamo, allowing for the conversion of linear motion into rotational energy and providing flexibility in the design and implementation of the energy generation system.
