ADAPTIVE AGRICULTURAL MACHINERIES FOR SEEDING AND FERTILIZING OFDIFFERENT TYPES OF PADDY FIELDS USING A SYSTEM OF PROPELLERS ANDMETHODS OF USING THE SAMECLAIM OF PRIORITY
[0001] This application claims priority under 35 U.S.C. §120 of Application No. 1 -2023-04758, filed on 17 / 07 / 2023, in the Intellectual Property Office Of Vietnam (IP VIET NAM) of a utility patent application, entitled, “May Gieo Hat, Phun Thudc va Bon Phan Sir Dung Nhi^u Chong Chong D y”, by applicant. The patent application identified above is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The invention relates to the field of agricultural machineries designed to operate in paddy fields which include surface water and muddy plowed soil layer. More specifically, the invention relates to adaptive and self-propelled agricultural machineries that can perform different tasks on different types of paddy fields.BACKGROUND ART
[0003] The rice cultivation process involves laborious steps from field plowing, field seeding or sowing, plant caring, and harvesting. Due to the complexities of these steps, they are still being performed manually or semi-manually. Some agricultural machineries are deployed to support various stages of rice cultivation to help increasing productivity.
[0004] Human seed blowers and backpack sprayers carry mechanical engines to perform the seeding, fertilizing, and spraying works. These semi-manual methods depends on the techniques of the performers. As a result, the quality of the work isuneven and the efficiency is low. On top of that, the farmers are directly exposed to chemicals and toxic environments.
[0005] Some other machineries use sprockets or metal wheels. The machineries are equipped with seeding systems using centrifugal rotating discs with extended spraying rigs carrying many spray nozzles. These machineries are bulky, heavy, difficult to move, and use motors and transmissions to rotate wheels and run sprockets to help the machine move on the contact surface. These machineries are heavy. As such, when operating on paddy fields consisted of surface water and soft mud, these machineries usually sink and cannot move.
[0006] Drones are also used for seeding, spraying, and fertilizing. The Drones carry seeding systems with centrifugal discs and spray nozzles. Drones fly at high speeds and operate according to a pre-programmed route. As a consequence, they have high operational productivity. Farmers avoid direct contact with toxic chemicals. With technological advances such as more efficient electric motors, batteries with higher energy density, and smaller and faster flight controllers, drones are gradually becoming more popular in agriculture. Affordable battery technologies still have limitations in energy density, which greatly affects the mass density of batteries on drones. Low battery energy density poses major obstacles for drones to achieve heavy payload carrying capacity and long flight times. This leads to high usage costs of drones. In addition, system malfunctions of Drones cause great damage when they fall while flying.
[0007] Therefore, what is needed is a new agricultural machinery that perform seeding, spraying, and fertilizing works without using manual labors of farmers.
[0008] What is needed is a new agricultural machinery that perform seeding, spraying, and fertilizing works efficiently on paddy rice fields.
[0009] What is needed is a new agricultural machinery that perform seeding, spraying, and fertilizing works efficiently on paddy rice fields without nebulizing the seeds.
[0010] Furthermore, what is needed is a new agricultural machinery that perform seeding, spraying, and fertilizing works efficiently on paddy rice fields.
[0011] Finally, what is needed is a new agricultural machinery that perform seeding, spraying, and fertilizing works that can move autonomously and smoothly on paddy rice fields.
[0012] The agricultural machineries disclosed in the present application meet the above needs and demands in agriculture.SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0013] Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide seeding, spraying, and fertilizing machineries (hereinafter referred to as agricultural machinery or Airboots) that include a plurality of propellers and a slide or wheel system. The plurality of propellers are designed to create horizontal thrusts to the slides or selfrolling wheels so that the agricultural machinery can move forward without the needs of combustion engines. The invention completely mechanizes seeding, spraying, and fertilizing rice plants effectively and at low cost.
[0014] Another object of the present invention is to provide a multiple pinwheel configuration is used as the main propulsion system to push the agricultural machinery moving as well as control the machine's direction. A multi-pinwheel system is used to drive the agricultural machinery by adjusting the thrust components of the left and right pinwheel clusters separately, thereby controlling the vehicle's lateral rotational moments. These embodiments eliminate the complex transmission and steering mechanism, significantly reducing the weight of the machine. The configuration of the invention will result in a vehicle weighing much less than a machine running on a crawler or metal wheel using a transmission system.
[0015] Another object of the present invention is to provide a multi-pinwheel system horizontally at a high distance above the ground so that they do not ruin the plants during fertilizing operation.
[0016] Another object of the present invention is to provide a multi-pinwheel system driven by an electric motor supplied with electrical energy from the battery. Alternatively, solar panels can be used to charge the battery. An internal combustion engine using fossil energy can be used to provide electrical energy to a multi-rotor system by combining with a generator.
[0017] Another object of the present invention a multiple propeller system is driven by mechanical energy from an internal combustion engine using fossil energy.
[0018] Another object of the present invention is to provide a multi-slide system designed to help the agricultural machinery to slide on muddy soil and surface water. The slides help prevent the machine from sinking into the mud like tracked vehicles. Furthermore, the slides have a width that is small enough to be able to turn around bushes and weave into beds without damaging the plants. The trough of the slide also acts as a float when the machine operates in a completely submerged environment. The energy required to push the chute to move on the contact surface is many times smaller than that needed for the Drones that carry the same load, thereby reducing operating costs.
[0019] Another object of the present invention is to provide a wheel system to help the agricultural machinery move easily when contact surface conditions are dry. Using this wheel system does not change the dynamic structure of the multi-pinwheel system as well as the steering mechanism of the agricultural machineries.
[0020] Because of the uniqueness of the patent configuration, the machine can move easily on mud and water surfaces without sinking or sinking with much lower energy usage than Drones. Furthermore, because it operates on the contact surface, the damage caused is much less than when using Drones.
[0021] These and other advantages of the present invention will no doubt become obvious to those of ordinary skill in the art after having read the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments, which are illustrated in the various drawing figures.BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
