Description

[0001] ENERGY TRANSFORMER

[0002] The invention refers to an energy transformer intended for producing electrical energy. Inventions that transform ocean wave energy into mechanical and electrical energy are less efficient than most others that transform other types of energy because ways of transforming the energy of the waves that rush towards the shore into a rotational motion in one direction and transmitting it over very long distances have not been identified.

[0003] The invention eliminates the mentioned disadvantage by being composed of blocking systems in certain cases for the passage of waves through the walls of trilateral supports on which some of their components are attached and two bearings in which the axles of the rotors rotate, to which are fixed both the hubs of the wheel pairs in whose spring nests are the clickets pushed by the inclined teeth of the outer elements only when the cups attached to these are moved by the waves coming towards the shore, as well as the flanges to which the cardan shafts are attached, through which the rotational motion in one direction can be transmitted from any rotor to the others, regardless of their number, and from the transmission system of the rotational motion to the rotor of the electric generator.

[0004] The invention has the following advantages: it is located near the shores; it transforms the inexhaustible energy of waves that rush towards the shore into rotational motion in one direction; it can even have a length measured in kilometers marked with two digits.

[0005] Next, the invention will be described in detail, with reference to figures 1 and 2 which represent:

[0006] -figure 1 - view of a trilateral support from the direction of the shore;

[0007] -figure 2 - side view of a rotor without flanges.

[0008] The energy transformer is composed of blocking systems, trilateral supports (1 ), bearings (2), rotors (A) consisting of an axle (3), two wheels (4), in turn composed of hubs (a), balls, springs, clickets (b), outer elements (c), and guards, cups (5), and flanges (6), cardan shafts (7), a transmission system, and an electric generator.

[0009] The blocking systems are composed of lifting-lowering mechanisms and a shutter located in slides fixed to the approximately vertical edges that delimit one of the ends of the trilateral supports between whose walls the waves cannot penetrate when all the shutters are lowered, in which case the mobile components in direct engagement no longer rotate and thus their assembly or disassembly becomes possible. The trilateral supports (1 ), to which the supports of the lifting-lowering mechanisms and the slides of the blocking systems, as well as the bearings (2), are fixed, are formed of a flat plate and two parallel walls between which there is a distance of approximately 2.5 meters, are longer than the diameter of the rotors (A), and since they are made of reinforced concrete, their heavy weight stabilizes them when positioned in water, close to the shore, along it and in such a way that the ends with the blocking systems are directed out to sea.

[0010] The bearings (2), in whose bearings the axles (3) rotate, are attached, one each, to the approximately horizontal edges of the walls of the trilateral supports (1), in the middle of their length. The rotors are identical and are in rotational balance.

[0011] The axles (3) are lighter than those machined from solid material because they consist of a round pipe into which parts of the two ends of the axles are pressed, subsequently turned in threaded steps at the ends and provided with grooves to which the hubs (3) of the wheels (4) and the flanges (6) are fixed, and on one of the two located at the ends of the row is fixed the toothed wheel belonging to the transmission system.

[0012] The wheels (4) are positioned, two each, on the same axle (3), becoming interdependent when the cups (5) are attached to their outer elements (c), and differ from the ratchet gears of bicycles without a gear shifter only by being much larger, the hubs (a) fixed to the axles (3) are fitted inside with a groove instead of a thread, and instead of teeth for the chain, the outside of the outer elements (c) - whose inclined teeth inside push the clickets (b) permanently under the pressure of the springs in the nests of the hubs (a) when the cups (5) are actuated by the waves coming towards the shore - is formed of bars attached in such a way that their contour resembles that of toothed wheels with inclined teeth.

[0013] The cups (5) have an isosceles trapezoid profile, are fixed to the bars of the outer elements (c) of the wheels (4) located on the same axle (3), are actuated by waves, rotate close to the plate and the walls of the trilateral supports (1 ), and form the contour of the rotors (A) in the shape of a toothed wheel with inclined teeth.

[0014] The flanges (6), to which the cardan shafts (7) are attached, are provided with a groove in the central hole, with holes near the outer diameter and are fixed to the axles (3).

[0015] The cardan shafts (7) with slides, through which the rotational motion can be transmitted from any rotor (A) to the others, regardless of their number, are attached to the flanges (6) and are similar to those fitted to freight trucks. The transmission system is composed of a toothed wheel fixed to an axle (3) located at one of the ends of the row of mobile components, and a rotation multiplier in contact with both it and the rotor of the electric generator positioned on a stand.

[0016] Due to the ratcheting mechanism, when only the cups (5) of some rotors (A) are actuated by the waves coming towards the shore, the mobile components in direct engagement - including the axles (3), hubs(a) of the wheels (4), flanges (6), cardan shafts (7), transmission system and rotor of the electric generator - will rotate with them, but not the cups (5) of the other rotors (A).

[0017] The rotational motion of the mobile components in direct engagement is uninterrupted if the invention is long enough that it is impossible for the cups (5) of some rotors (A) not to be actuated by the waves coming towards the shore at any time.
