Abstract
The present invention provides a kit for detecting nitrate in water, a detection system, and related methods. A first aspect of the present invention provides a kit for detecting nitrate in water. The kit comprises a nitrate detection reagent. The nitrate detection reagent comprises the following component raw materials in parts by mass: 0.1-10.0 parts of a reducing agent, 0.5-50.0 parts of p-aminobenzene sulfonic acid, 0.1-20.0 parts of N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride, 1.0-60.0 parts of a masking agent, 10.0-90.0 parts of a weighting agent, and 0-10.0 parts of an accelerant. According to the present invention, the reagent in the kit discolors immediately upon contact with nitrate, without the need for any complex analysis device, thereby realizing low-cost, instant and trace detection of nitrate. The reagent allows for simple and convenient operation, high sensitivity, and low costs, thereby providing an effective technical means for the field of detection of nitrate ions in water. The detection reagent shows a low detection limit (visual detection limit of 0.1 mg / mL) and extremely high selectivity for nitrate, thereby guaranteeing that the present invention can be applied to detect nitrate in water.
