Description

Two-way blower with variable blower path

[0001] The present invention relates to a two-way blower capable of changing the blowing path, and more specifically, to a two-way blower capable of changing the blowing path, which can be used for various purposes, by forming two exhaust paths to discharge air drawn in through an air intake port to the outside of a case and forming a damper at the exhaust port so that the direction of the air discharged by the damper can be controlled.

[0002] In general, newly constructed buildings put a lot of effort into insulation to save energy, and they also pay a lot of attention to ventilation for health reasons.

[0003] Therefore, in order to satisfy both insulation and ventilation, a building air conditioning (ventilation) device is used that forcibly sucks in and exhausts indoor air and outdoor air through a ventilation fan, and enables air purification and energy saving by using a filter or heat exchanger. The above-mentioned building air conditioning device sucks in and exhausts indoor air and outdoor air through a duct.

[0004] Accordingly, a low-noise blower is widely used as a means for absorbing and exhausting outdoor air. A conventional blower has a blower fan mounting portion in which a blower fan, as shown in FIG. 1, is built in such a way that it can rotate, and a main body having an air intake port for sucking air formed on one side and an exhaust port for exhausting air formed on the other side, and a blower fan mounted on the blower fan mounting portion of the main body and rotatable by a motor, and a structure in which air drawn in through the air intake port formed on one side of the main body is given a certain linearity by the blower fan so that it is exhausted through the exhaust port.

[0005] However, a blower with only one outlet, such as this one, cannot control the airflow direction in two directions. Therefore, when using a blower in various air conditioning systems, such as air circulation systems, it has the disadvantage of being limited in its versatility.

[0021] FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view showing a blower according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 3 is a perspective view showing the combined state of FIG. 2, FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view showing the operating state of the present invention. (A) shows a state where the first damper is open and the second damper is closed, so that the first air outlet is open and air is discharged in the direction of the first air outlet, and (B) shows a state where the second damper is open and the first damper is closed, so that the second air outlet is open and air is discharged in the direction of the second air outlet.

[0022] First, it should be noted that, among the drawings, identical components or parts are indicated by identical reference numerals, where possible. Furthermore, in describing the present invention, detailed descriptions of related known functions or configurations are omitted to avoid obscuring the gist of the present invention.

[0023] The two-way blower (100) of the present invention, which can change the blower path, is provided with a blower fan mounting portion (110a) in which a blower fan (120) is built to be rotatable, and is composed of a main body (110) having an air intake port (101) formed on one side and a first air discharge port (102) formed on the other side, and a blower fan (120) mounted on the blower fan mounting portion (110a) of the main body (110) and rotatable by a motor (not shown).

[0024] A first air outlet (102) and a second air outlet (103) having different directions are formed in the above body (110), and a second damper (140) is installed in the second air outlet (103) so that air drawn in through the air intake (101) is discharged through the second air outlet (103) rather than the first air outlet (102).

[0025] Accordingly, the present invention can selectively discharge air in one of two directions when discharging air drawn in through the air intake port (101) to the outside of the main body (110).

[0026] At this time, a first damper (130) may be installed in the first air outlet (102) to block exhaust air and prevent dust from entering.

[0027] The above main body (110) is composed of a cylindrical blower fan mounting portion (110a) and a first air outlet (102) for discharging air in a straight direction on one side of the blower fan mounting portion (110a). It is preferable that the second air outlet (103) is formed by perforating the blower fan mounting portion (110a).

[0028] Therefore, the second air outlet (103) can discharge air through another route before the air is discharged through the first air outlet (102).

[0029] However, since the present invention has a second air outlet (103) formed in a cylindrical blower mounting portion (110a), if the gasket (143) of the second damper (140) has a structure that opens to the outside of the main body (110) due to the structure of the curved blower mounting portion (110a), the air flow cannot be induced, making it impossible to achieve the purpose of the present invention.

[0030] Therefore, at this time, it is preferable that the gasket (143) of the second damper (140) installed in the second air outlet (103) be opened toward the inside of the main body (110) and brought as close to the outside of the blower fan (120) as possible. At this time, it is preferable to provide a blocking step (144) to prevent the gasket (143) from contacting the blower fan (120).

[0031] In this way, the gasket (143) of the second damper (140) installed in the second air outlet (103) is configured to open at an angle toward the inside of the main body (110), i.e., toward the blower fan (120), so that air subjected to strong pressure by the blower fan (120) is naturally guided by the gasket (143) and discharged through the second air outlet (103).

[0032] If a duct (not shown) is connected to the second air outlet (103) above, air can be discharged to a location other than the first air outlet (102), and this can be used for useful purposes in air conditioning devices of various structures, thereby increasing the usability of the blower of the present invention.

[0033] Accordingly, in order to discharge air in a different direction in the present invention, the direction of the second air outlet (103) needs to be formed differently from the first air outlet (102), and therefore, it is preferable that the angle of formation of the second air outlet (103) be formed in one direction selected from among an acute angle, a right angle, and an obtuse angle direction with respect to the first air outlet (102).

[0034] Of course, the gasket (143) of the second damper (140) installed in the second air outlet (103) is configured to open in an inclined manner toward the inside of the main body (110), thereby naturally guiding the air obtained by the rotational force of the blower fan (120) and enabling it to be discharged to the outside of the main body (110) through a path other than the first air outlet (102), i.e., the second air outlet (103).

[0035] At this time, the first damper (130) and the second damper (140) are formed by a motor (131, 141), a shaft (132, 142), and a gasket (133, 143), and it is preferable that the motor (131, 141) be installed on the outside of the main body (110) so that the gasket (133, 143) can be opened and closed by the shaft (132, 142).

[0036] As described above, although the present invention has been described by limited embodiments, the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and variations are possible by a person having ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains within the scope of the technical idea of the present invention and the equivalent scope of the patent claims to be described below.
