[0044] Embodiments of the present disclosure provide an information processing method, a terminal, a network device, and a storage medium.

[0045] In a first aspect, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides an information processing method, which is executed by a terminal and includes:

[0046] Detect power saving signal;

[0047] A PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal is controlled according to the detection result of the power saving signal.

[0048] In the above embodiment, the terminal controls its PDCCH detection behavior according to the detection result of the power saving signal, which allows the terminal to control the PDCCH detection behavior more flexibly, thereby supporting higher PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving effect.

[0049] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the detection result of the power saving signal is used to determine whether to adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH.

[0050] In the above embodiment, the terminal can use the detection result of the power saving signal to determine whether to control the PDCCH detection behavior of the UE by adjusting the PDCCH skipping time period information, thereby supporting better scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power saving effect.

[0051] In conjunction with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, detecting the power-saving signal includes:

[0052] The terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state and detects the power saving signal.

[0053] In the above embodiment, when the terminal is in the PDCCH skipping state, the detection result of the power saving signal can be used to control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power saving effect.

[0054] In conjunction with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate one of the following:

[0055] Whether the terminal ends PDCCH skipping early;

[0056] Whether the terminal maintains PDCCH skipping within a first time period; the first time period is included in the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0057] Whether the terminal extends the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0058] The terminal starts PDCCH detection when the PDCCH skipping time period ends.

[0059] In the above embodiment, the power saving signal indicates whether the terminal ends PDCCH skipping in advance. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal by detecting the power saving signal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving effect.

[0060] In the above embodiment, the power-saving signal indicates whether the terminal maintains PDCCH skipping within the first time period, and the first time period is included in the time period of the PDCCH skipping. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal by detecting the power-saving signal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power-saving effect.

[0061] In the above embodiment, the power saving signal instructs the terminal whether to extend the PDCCH skipping period. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal by detecting the power saving signal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving effect.

[0062] In the above embodiment, the power saving signal indicates whether the terminal starts PDCCH detection at the end of the PDCCH skipping time period. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal by detecting the power saving signal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving effects.

[0063] In conjunction with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate one of the following:

[0064] The terminal ends PDCCH skipping;

[0065] The terminal maintains a PDCCH skipping state.

[0066] In the above embodiment, the terminal is in the PDCCH skipping state. If a power saving signal instructing the terminal to end the PDCCH skipping is detected, the terminal will end the PDCCH skipping. In this way, when new data arrives, the UE data transmission delay can be reduced and the data transmission performance can be improved.

[0067] In the above embodiment, when the terminal is in the PDCCH skipping state, if a power saving signal instructing the terminal to maintain the PDCCH skipping state is detected, the terminal will maintain the PDCCH skipping state, thereby achieving additional power saving by extending the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0068] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to end PDCCH skipping, and is also used to indicate time period information for PDCCH detection.

[0069] In the above embodiment, when the terminal detects a power-saving signal, it can determine the time period information for ending PDCCH skipping and performing PDCCH detection based on the power-saving signal. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving effects.

[0070] In conjunction with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, detecting the power-saving signal includes one of the following:

[0071] The power saving signal is detected continuously or periodically; wherein the power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position.

[0072] In the above embodiment, the terminal can perform continuous detection or periodic detection of the power saving signal when it is in the PDCCH skipping state or the PDCCH detection state, and determine whether it is necessary to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position based on the detected power saving signal. In this way, the terminal can flexibly control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal, thereby supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power saving effect.

[0073] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the detection result of the power saving signal is used to determine whether to convert to SSSG.

[0074] In the above embodiment, the terminal may use the detection result of the power saving signal to determine whether to switch to the SSSG to control the PDCCH detection behavior of the UE, thereby supporting better scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power saving effect.

[0075] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to explicitly instruct the terminal to switch to a first SSSG; the first SSSG is any one of multiple SSSGs configured for the terminal; or,

[0076] The power saving signal is used to explicitly indicate whether the terminal should keep working in the current SSSG or switch to a second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0077] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to switch to the second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0078] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to keep operating in the current SSSG.

[0079] In the above embodiment, the power-saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to switch to the first SSSG. By detecting the power-saving signal, the terminal can receive the information of the SSSG conversion with extremely low power consumption. At the same time, by configuring resources for frequent power-saving signals, the delay in receiving the information of the SSSG conversion can be reduced, thereby optimizing the power saving of the terminal, improving the flexibility of PDCCH transmission, and improving data transmission performance.

[0080] In the above embodiment, the power-saving signal can explicitly or implicitly indicate whether the terminal should continue to work in the current SSSG or switch to the second SSSG. In this way, the information of SSSG conversion can be received with extremely low power consumption, and the delay in transmitting the information of SSSG conversion can be reduced. At the same time, there is no need for the power-saving signal to carry additional information, which optimizes the power saving of the terminal, improves the flexibility of PDCCH transmission, and improves data transmission performance.

[0081] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the delay between the reception timing of the power-saving signal and the activation timing of the SSSG to which the terminal switches is related to a sub-carrier space (SCS).

[0082] In the above embodiment, since the delay between the reception timing of the power saving signal and the activation timing of the SSSG to which the terminal switches is taken into consideration, the reliability of the terminal switching to the SSSG can be improved, thereby improving the data transmission performance.

[0083] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the terminal is configured to perform discontinuous reception (DRX), and the detecting the power saving signal includes:

[0084] Before the DRX on period, detecting the power saving signal;

[0085] Alternatively, the power saving signal is detected before and during the DRX on period.

[0086] In the above embodiment, when the terminal is configured to perform DRX, the power saving signal may be detected only before the DRX on period, with the power saving signal indicating the SSSG to which to switch. Alternatively, the power saving signal may be detected both before and during the DRX on period, with the power saving signal indicating the SSSG to which to switch. In this way, through the terminal's detection of the power saving signal, the terminal's PDCCH detection behavior can be flexibly controlled, thereby optimizing terminal power saving and improving the flexibility of PDCCH transmission.

[0087] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG to which the terminal needs to switch, and does not indicate PDCCH skipping; or,

[0088] The terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state; the power saving signal is further used to indicate:

[0090] or,

[0091] The terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state; the power saving signal is further used to indicate:

[0092] The activated SSSG and the terminal extend the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0093] In the above embodiment, the power-saving signal indicates the target SSSG to which conversion is required and does not indicate PDCCH skipping. The power-saving signal can indicate the target SSSG in an implicit manner, or the power-saving signal can carry at most 1 bit of information to indicate the target SSSG, thereby minimizing the amount of information that the power-saving signal needs to indicate.

[0094] In combination with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG to which to switch after a PDCCH skipping time period ends.

[0095] In the above embodiment, the power-saving signal is used to indicate the target SSSG to which the PDCCH needs to be switched after the PDCCH skipping period ends. By detecting the power-saving signal by the terminal, the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal can be flexibly controlled, thereby supporting better scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power-saving effect.

[0096] In conjunction with some embodiments of the first aspect, in some embodiments, detecting the power-saving signal includes:

[0097] The terminal is in a PDCCH detection state and detects the power saving signal, wherein the power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to switch to a target SSSG or perform PDCCH skipping;

[0098] Alternatively, the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state and detects the power saving signal, wherein the power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG or adjust information about a PDCCH skipping time period.

[0099] In the above embodiment, by detecting the power saving signal by the terminal, the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal can be flexibly controlled according to the power saving signal, thereby supporting better scheduling flexibility and maximizing the power saving effect.

[0102] In the above embodiment, the first information is received by the terminal, so that the terminal can use the resources of the power-saving signal indicated by the first information to detect the power-saving signal, thereby better detecting the power-saving signal, and then through the terminal's detection of the power-saving signal, the terminal's PDCCH detection behavior is flexibly controlled to support better scheduling flexibility and maximize the power-saving effect.

Furthermore, multiple systems may be combined (for example, a combination of LTE or LTE-A with 5G).

[0321] In some embodiments, to reduce UE power consumption in connected mode, two mechanisms, PDCCH skipping and search space set group switching (SSSG switching), are introduced. With PDCCH skipping, network devices can control UEs to skip PDCCH detection for a period of time, thereby saving power. Network devices can configure one, two, or three PDCCH skipping periods.

[0322] In the discussion of PDCCH skipping, the following two behaviors are introduced:

[0323] Behavior (Beh) 1: PDCCH skipping is not activated, that is, the UE continuously detects the configured search space set (SS set) or the SS set of the currently activated SSSG.

[0324] Beh 1A: PDCCH skipping is activated within a time period, that is, the UE does not detect the configured SS set or the currently activated SSSG during this time period.

[0325] By adopting SSSG conversion, by activating a suitable SSSG among two or three SSSGs, the frequency of UE's PDCCH detection and the number of PDCCH candidates detected each time are controlled, thereby controlling the power saving behavior of the UE.

[0326] In the discussion of SSSG conversion, the following three behaviors are introduced:

[0327] Beh 2: Stop detecting the search space sets (SS sets) of SSSG #1 and SSSG #2, and only detect the SS set of SSSG #0.

[0328] Beh 2A: Stop detecting the search space sets (SS sets) of SSSG #0 and SSSG #2, and only detect the SS set of SSSG #1.

[0329] Beh 2B: Stop detecting the search space sets (SS sets) of SSSG #0 and SSSG #1, and only detect the SS set of SSSG #2.

[0330] In some embodiments, the following three combinations are supported to achieve power saving:

[0331] Mechanism based only on PDCCH skipping;

[0332] Mechanism based only on SSSG conversion;

[0333] Mechanism based on SSSG conversion and PDCCH skipping.

[0334] In order to achieve further UE power saving, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is discussing a mechanism based on a low-power wake-up receiver (LP-WUR, or “low-power wake-up transceiver”).

[0335] In power saving mode, the UE can put the main radio (MR, or "main transceiver") into ultra-deep sleep mode and enable the LP-WUR to listen for wake-up signals that support low-power reception (i.e., low-power wake-up signals, LP-WUS). When the LP-WUR detects the LP-WUS for this UE, the UE turns on the MR and performs normal transmission. This method greatly reduces the power consumption of the MR, and the power consumption of the LP-WUR is very low, thereby achieving greater power saving gains.

[0336] When the LP-WUS mechanism is introduced, how to more effectively implement the two mechanisms of SSSG conversion and PDCCH skipping is an issue that needs to be addressed urgently.

[0337] FIG2a is an interactive diagram of an information processing method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG2a, the present disclosure embodiment relates to an information processing method for a communication system 100, the method comprising:

[0338] Step S2101: The network device sends first information to the terminal.

[0339] In some embodiments, the terminal receives first information sent by the network device.

[0340] In some embodiments, the network device may be an access network device, the access network device may be a base station, and the base station may be a gNB.

[0341] In some embodiments, the terminal may include but is not limited to: a mobile phone, a wearable device, an Internet of Things device, or a vehicle-mounted device.

[0342] In some embodiments, a terminal may have a first receiver and a primary receiver, the first receiver being different from the primary receiver.

[0343] Exemplarily, the power consumption of the first receiver is lower than that of the main receiver. For example, the first receiver is a low-power wake-up receiver.

[0344] After the terminal turns on the first receiver, the terminal can use the first receiver to monitor the low power wake-up signal (LP-WUS).

[0345] In some embodiments, the first information may be used to indicate a power-saving signal configuration. The power-saving signal configuration may be used to indicate one or more configuration parameters used by the terminal to receive the power-saving signal. For example, the power-saving signal configuration may include: a time domain configuration of the power-saving signal.

[0346] In the present disclosure, the terms receiving a power-saving signal, monitoring a power-saving signal, listening to a power-saving signal, or detecting a power-saving signal are interchangeable.

[0347] In some examples, the power saving signal may include a first power saving signal; the first power saving signal may be used to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information. Alternatively, the detection result of the first power saving signal is used to determine whether to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information.

[0348] In some examples, the power saving signal may include a second power saving signal; the second power saving signal may be used to convert the SSSG. Alternatively, a detection result of the second power saving signal may be used to determine whether to convert the SSSG.

[0349] In some examples, the power saving signal may include a third power saving signal. The third power saving signal may be used to indicate adjusting the PDCCH skipping time period information or converting the SSSG.

[0350] In some examples, the time domain configuration of the power saving signal may indicate the time domain resources used by the terminal to receive the power saving signal and / or the frequency of receiving the power saving signal in the time domain, etc. For example, the time domain resources include but are not limited to: time slots, symbols, mini-time slots or subframes, etc.

[0351] In some embodiments, the power saving signal configuration may further include: a frequency domain configuration of the power saving signal, which may indicate frequency domain resources used by the terminal to receive the power saving signal. For example, the frequency domain resources include a bandwidth part (Band Width Part, BWP).

[0352] In some embodiments, the terminal has multiple PDCCH detection behaviors, each of which has a corresponding power saving signal configuration. The power saving signal configurations corresponding to the multiple PDCCH detection behaviors may be the same or different.

[0353] In some embodiments, the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal may include but is not limited to at least two of the following behaviors:

[0354] The first behavior may be PDCCH detection, for example, PDCCH skipping is not activated. In this case, the terminal continuously detects the configured search space set or the search space set of the currently activated SSSG;

[0355] The second behavior may be PDCCH skipping, for example, activating PDCCH skipping within a time period. In this case, the terminal does not detect the configured search space set or the currently activated SSSG within this time period.

[0356] The third behavior may be to detect only the first SSSG among the multiple SSSGs, for example, stop detecting the search space sets (SS sets) of SSSG #1 and SSSG #2, and only detect the search space set of SSSG #0.

[0357] The fourth behavior may be to detect only the second SSSG among multiple SSSGs, where the second SSSG is different from the first SSSG. For example, stop detecting the search space sets of SSSG #0 and SSSG #2 and only detect the search space set of SSSG #1.

[0358] The fifth behavior may be to detect only the third SSSG among multiple SSSGs, where the third SSSG is different from the first SSSG and the second SSSG. For example, stop detecting the search space sets of SSSG #0 and SSSG #1 and only detect the search space set of SSSG #2.

[0359] In some embodiments, the first information is used to indicate power saving signal configurations corresponding to multiple PDCCH detection behaviors of the terminal.

[0360] In this embodiment, for any PDCCH detection behavior, the terminal can use the power-saving signal configuration corresponding to the PDCCH detection behavior indicated by the first information, and use the power-saving signal configuration corresponding to the PDCCH detection behavior to perform power-saving signal detection when the terminal is in the state of the PDCCH detection behavior.

[0361] In some embodiments, the first information is used to indicate resources used by power saving signals corresponding to multiple PDCCH detection behaviors of the terminal.

[0362] For example, the periods of the power saving signals configured for different PDCCH detection behaviors may be different. For example, the period of the power saving signal configured for PDCCH skipping may be shorter than the period of the power saving signal configured for PDCCH detection.

[0363] In particular, assuming that the PDCCH monitor occasion (MO) of an SSSG does not occur frequently, the delay caused by triggering SSSG switching or PDCCH skipping can be reduced by configuring resources for more frequent power saving signals.

[0364] In some embodiments, the first information is used to indicate resources shared by power saving signals of multiple PDCCH detection behaviors of the terminal.

[0365] For example, the network device may configure the terminal to use the same set of power-saving signal resources for different PDCCH detection behaviors through the first information, without depending on the current PDCCH detection behavior of the UE.

[0366] In some embodiments, the first information may be carried in a first message sent by the network device to the terminal. The first message includes at least one of the following: a system message, a high-layer signaling, a radio resource control (RRC) signaling, a media access control (MAC) control element (CE), a downlink control information (DCI), etc.

[0367] Step S2102: The network device determines whether to send a first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0368] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal may be a wake-up signal, for example, a low-power wake-up signal. Alternatively, the first power saving signal may be a sleep signal.

[0369] In some embodiments, the network device determines whether to send the first power saving signal to the terminal according to information about whether the terminal needs to adjust a time period skipped by the PDCCH.

[0370] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to adjust information about the time period skipped by the PDCCH, the network device determines to send a first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0371] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to adjust information about the time period skipped by the PDCCH, the network device determines not to send the first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0372] In some embodiments, when the network device does not need the terminal to adjust the information of the time period skipped by the PDCCH, the network device determines to send a first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0373] In some embodiments, when the network device does not need the terminal to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information, the network device determines not to send the first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0374] In some embodiments, the network device may determine whether the terminal needs to adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH according to whether the PDCCH needs to be transmitted to the terminal.

[0375] In some embodiments, the network device determines to send a first power saving signal, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH, and the network device does not send the first power saving signal, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal not to adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH.

[0376] In some embodiments, the network device determines to send a first power saving signal, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal not to adjust the PDCCH skipped time period information, and the network device does not send the first power saving signal, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to adjust the PDCCH skipped time period information.

[0377] In some embodiments, the time period information skipped by the PDCCH may be preset time period information, or time period information specified by a protocol, or time period information configured by a network device.

[0378] In some embodiments, the time period information may be a time period length, which is the length of the PDCCH skipping time period (or referred to as the duration of the PDCCH skipping time period).

[0379] During the PDCCH skipping period, the terminal may detect the detection signal sent by the network device, and maintain the PDCCH skipping or switch to the PDCCH detection according to the detection result of the first power saving signal.

[0380] Step S2103: The network device sends a first power saving signal to the terminal.

[0381] In some embodiments, the terminal receives a first power saving signal sent by a network device.

[0382] In some embodiments, the network device sends a first power saving signal to a terminal that activates a power saving signal detection function.

[0383] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used for detection by the terminal, and a detection result of the first power saving signal is used to control a PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal.

[0384] In some embodiments, the network device sends the power saving signal to the terminal when the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state.

[0385] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal may explicitly or implicitly indicate whether the terminal adjusts the PDCCH skipping time period information.

[0386] For example, the first power saving signal explicitly indicates whether the terminal ends PDCCH skipping early.

[0387] For example, the first power saving signal explicitly indicates whether the terminal maintains PDCCH skipping within a first time period; the first time period is included in the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0388] For example, the first power saving signal explicitly indicates whether the terminal extends the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0389] For example, the first power saving signal explicitly instructs the terminal whether to start PDCCH detection at the end of the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0390] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to end PDCCH skipping early.

[0391] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to maintain PDCCH skipping within a first time period; the first time period is included in the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0392] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to extend the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0393] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to start PDCCH detection at the end of the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0394] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to end PDCCH skipping.

[0395] For example, the first power saving signal implicitly instructs the terminal to maintain the PDCCH skipping state.

[0396] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is a wake-up signal.

[0397] In some examples, the network device may send a wake-up signal to the terminal based on a wake-up period of the terminal.

[0398] Exemplarily, the wake-up cycle includes one or more DRX cycles. For example, the wake-up cycle is configured as one DRX cycle, and the terminal monitors the wake-up signal during each DRX cycle. For example, to further save power consumption of the terminal, the wake-up cycle is configured as N DRX cycles (N is greater than or equal to 2), and the terminal monitors the wake-up signal during the corresponding duration of the N DRX cycles.

[0399] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal ends PDCCH skipping early.

[0400] Exemplarily, when the terminal starts skipping PDCCH detection (e.g., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the terminal detects a first power saving signal, which may indicate whether the UE needs to end skipping PDCCH detection early and return to continuous PDCCH detection (e.g., Beh 1).

[0401] In some examples, the network device may send the first power saving signal only when it is necessary to indicate an early end of PDCCH skipping.

[0402] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal maintains PDCCH skipping within a first time period; the first time period is included in the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0403] Exemplarily, the first power saving signal may instruct the UE to maintain the PDCCH skipping state, and the UE continuously detects the first power saving signal. When the terminal does not detect LP-WUS at a configured first power saving signal position, the terminal returns to continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1).

[0404] The network device needs to continuously send the first power-saving signal to the terminal. When the network device needs to end PDCCH skipping early, the base station stops transmitting the first power-saving signal to the terminal. This method reduces the terminal's data transmission latency when new data arrives after the terminal enters the PDCCH skipping state.

[0405] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal whether to extend the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0406] For example, when the terminal begins skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1A), the UE detects LP-WUS. The LP-WUS may indicate whether the terminal can extend the length of the PDCCH skipping period to obtain additional first power savings. If the terminal does not receive the LP-WUS, the terminal returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) after the current PDCCH skipping period ends.

[0407] In some examples, the network device only needs to send an LP-WUS when an extended PDCCH skip is indicated.

[0408] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal whether to start PDCCH detection at the end of the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0409] Exemplarily, after the time period for skipping PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism ends, the terminal detects the LP-WUS to determine whether to start continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1).

[0410] It is understandable that LP-WUS detection can be earlier than the end position of the PDCCH skipping period, thereby supporting the indication of whether the terminal can start continuous PDCCH detection in the first time slot after the end of the PDCCH skipping period (ie, Beh 1).

[0411] In some examples, the first power saving signal may instruct the terminal to start continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1); if the terminal does not receive the first power saving signal, the UE does not perform PDCCH detection, thereby obtaining additional first power saving.

[0412] In some examples, the network device only needs to send the first power saving signal when instructing the terminal to start continuous PDCCH detection.

[0413] In some examples, the first power saving signal is used to indicate one of the following:

[0414] The terminal ends the start time of PDCCH skipping and performing PDCCH detection;

[0415] The terminal maintains a PDCCH skipping state.

[0416] Exemplarily, after the terminal starts skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the terminal may determine when to return to continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1) only by detecting the LP-WUS.

[0417] This LP-WUS-based detection behavior completely replaces the skipping of PDCCH detection within a time period (ie, Beh 1A). LP-WUS can instruct the terminal to return to continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1).

[0418] In some examples, the base station only needs to send an LP-WUS when instructing the terminal to start continuous PDCCH detection.

[0419] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to end PDCCH skipping and is also used for time period information of PDCCH detection.

[0420] For example, when LP-WUS instructs the terminal to perform continuous PDCCH detection (ie, Beh 1), it may further indicate a time period T for continuous PDCCH detection. After the time period T ends, the terminal skips PDCCH detection and detects LP-WUS.

[0421] In some examples, the length of the PDCCH detection time period T indicated by the first power-saving signal may be a predefined or configured value. Alternatively, the lengths of multiple time periods T may be configured or predefined, and one of the values may be indicated by the LP-WUS for continuous PDCCH detection.

[0422] Step S2104: The terminal detects a first power saving signal.

[0423] In some embodiments, the terminal detects the first power saving signal when the first power saving signal detection function is activated.

[0424] In some embodiments, the terminal receives the first power saving signal using a first receiver, which is, for example, a low power consumption receiver.

[0425] In some embodiments, when the first power saving signal detection function is not activated, the terminal switches between two PDCCH detection behaviors: continuous PDCCH detection (eg, Beh 1) and skipping PDCCH detection within a time period (eg, Beh 1A).

[0426] In some embodiments, the detection result of the first power saving signal is used by the terminal to determine whether to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information.

[0427] In some embodiments, the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state and detects the first power saving signal.

[0428] In some examples, the first power saving signal may instruct the terminal to end PDCCH skipping, or instruct the terminal to maintain the PDCCH skipping state.

[0429] Exemplarily, the terminal continuously detects the configured LP-WUS. When the terminal does not detect the LP-WUS at a configured LP-WUS position, the terminal returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The network device needs to continue sending the terminal's LP-WUS until it is necessary to instruct the terminal to start continuous PDCCH detection. In this example, when the terminal enters the PDCCH skipping state, it can support early termination of the PDCCH skipping and can also support extending the length of the PDCCH skipping time, thereby taking into account the first power saving and data transmission delay.

[0430] In some examples, after detecting each LP-WUS resource, the terminal may determine whether it is necessary to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) based on the detection results. Alternatively, after detecting every N LP-WUS resources, the terminal may determine whether it is necessary to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) based on the detection results of these N LP-WUS resources. For example, as long as one LP-WUS among the N LP-WUS positions indicates that it is necessary to return to Beh 1, the terminal begins continuous PDCCH detection.

[0431] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the first power saving signal includes:

[0432] The first power saving signal is detected continuously or periodically; wherein the first power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position.

[0433] For example, the terminal may continuously detect the LP-WUS or detect the LP-WUS according to a configured period. The LP-WUS indicates whether the UE needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position (e.g., MO). In this example, there is no need to distinguish between continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) and skipped PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A).

[0434] As another example, the terminal may detect the LP-WUS and determine whether it needs to receive the PDCCH of the next MO only when continuous PDCCH detection starts according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1). When PDCCH detection is skipped according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1A), the UE may not detect the LP-WUS.

[0435] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the first power saving signal includes:

[0436] The first power saving signal is detected at a target carrier among multiple carriers in carrier aggregation (CA); wherein the first power saving signal is used to indicate PDCCH skipping on the target carrier or multiple carriers.

[0437] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal includes multiple bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate PDCCH skipping on different carriers;

[0438] Alternatively, the first power saving signal includes a bit field; the bit field is used to indicate PDCCH skipping on multiple carriers;

[0439] Alternatively, the first power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; one of the bit fields is mapped to a PDCCH skip on one or more of the carriers;

[0440] Alternatively, the first power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate PDCCH skipping of different carrier groups.

[0441] In some embodiments, the first power saving signal includes a bit field indicating PDCCH skipping on multiple carriers, and the configuration of PDCCH skipping on different carriers is different;

[0442] Alternatively, the first power saving signal includes a bit field indicating PDCCH skipping of one of the carrier groups, and PDCCH skipping configurations of different carriers in the carrier group are different.

[0443] For example, in the case of carrier aggregation (CA), the LP-WUS detected on one carrier may indicate PDCCH skipping on multiple carriers, ie, Beh 1 or Beh 1A.

[0444] In some examples, corresponding to each carrier, the LP-WUS may carry different bit fields to indicate the detection behavior of PDCCH skipping of different carriers, which can maximize the flexibility of the working state of each carrier.

[0445] In some examples, corresponding to each carrier, the LP-WUS may carry a bit field to indicate the detection behavior of PDCCH skipping of multiple carriers. The configuration of PDCCH skipping of the multiple carriers may be the same. This can minimize the amount of information that the LP-WUS needs to indicate. Alternatively, the configuration of PDCCH skipping of each carrier may be different. In this case, it is necessary to define the mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the detection behavior of PDCCH skipping of multiple carriers. Using this method, a compromise can be achieved between the amount of information indicated by the LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating PDCCH skipping of each carrier.

[0446] In some examples, assuming that the LP-WUS carries information in one or more bit fields, for each carrier, the base station configures which bit field of the LP-WUS the PDCCH skip information is mapped to. Depending on the base station implementation, each carrier can be mapped to a different bit field, or two or more carriers can be mapped to the same bit field. The PDCCH skip configurations of the multiple carriers mapped to the same bit field can be the same or different. This method is implemented by the base station to control the amount of LP-WUS information and the flexibility of indicating PDCCH skipping for each carrier.

[0447] In some examples, it is assumed that the LP-WUS carries information of one or more bit fields, and each bit field is used to indicate the status of PDCCH skipping of a carrier group (Cell Group, CG). The base station can be configured with one or more CGs. The configuration of PDCCH skipping of multiple carriers within the same CG can be the same. If the configuration of PDCCH skipping of each carrier of a CG is different, it is necessary to define the mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the status of PDCCH skipping of multiple carriers of a CG. The above-mentioned method of dividing CG can be based on the method of dividing the execution of secondary carrier (SCell) dormancy (dormancy) in the existing standard. This method is implemented by the base station to control the amount of information of LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating the status of PDCCH skipping of each carrier.

[0448] Step S2105: The terminal performs the first operation.

[0449] In some embodiments, the first operation is used to control a PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal.

[0450] In some embodiments, the first operation is: adjusting information about a time period skipped by the PDCCH.

[0451] In some embodiments, the terminal determines whether to perform the first operation based on a detection result of the first power saving signal.

[0452] For example, if the detection result of the first power saving signal indicates that the PDCCH skipping time period information needs to be adjusted, the first operation is performed.

[0453] For example, if the detection result of the first power saving signal indicates that the PDCCH skipping time period information does not need to be adjusted, the first operation is not performed.

[0454] In some embodiments, the terminal performs a first operation according to a detection result of the first power saving signal.

[0455] In some embodiments, the term "information" can be interchangeable with terms such as "message", "signal", "signaling", "report", "configuration", "indication", "instruction", "command", "channel", "parameter", "field", and "data".

[0456] In some embodiments, the term "send" can be interchangeable with terms such as "transmit", "report", and "transmit".

[0457] In some embodiments, the term "SSSG conversion" can be interchangeable with terms such as "SSSG switch" and "SSSG change".

[0458] The information processing method involved in the embodiments of the present disclosure may include at least one of steps S2101 to S2105. For example, step S2103 may be implemented as an independent embodiment, and step S2104 may be implemented as an independent embodiment. For example, step S2102 combined with step S2105 may be implemented as an independent embodiment, and steps S2101 to S2105 may be implemented as independent embodiments, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0459] In some embodiments, step S2101 is optional and may be omitted or replaced in different embodiments.

[0460] FIG2b is an interactive diagram of an information processing method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG2b, the present disclosure embodiment relates to an information processing method for a communication system 100, the method comprising:

[0461] Step S2201: The network device sends first information to the terminal.

[0462] In some embodiments, the terminal receives first information sent by the network device.

[0463] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2201 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2101 in Figure 2a and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2a, which will not be repeated here.

[0464] Step S2202: The network device determines whether to send a second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0465] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal may be a wake-up signal, for example, a low-power wake-up signal, or a sleep signal.

[0466] In some embodiments, the network device determines whether to send the second power saving signal to the terminal according to whether the terminal is required to switch to the SSSG.

[0467] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines to send a second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0468] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines not to send the second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0469] In some embodiments, when the network device does not require the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines to send a second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0470] In some embodiments, when the network device does not need the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines not to send the second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0471] Step S2203: The network device sends a second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0472] In some embodiments, the terminal receives a second power saving signal sent by the network device.

[0473] In some embodiments, the network device sends a second power saving signal to the terminal that activates the power saving signal detection function.

[0474] In some embodiments, the detection result of the second power saving signal is used to determine whether to switch to SSSG.

[0475] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal may be LP-WUS.

[0476] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal is used to explicitly instruct the terminal to switch to a first SSSG; the first SSSG is any one of a plurality of SSSGs configured for the terminal.

[0477] For example, when LP-WUS detection is activated for a terminal, the LP-WUS can be used to indicate the SSSG to which the terminal is to transition. Using this method, the UE can receive SSSG transition information with extremely low power consumption. Furthermore, by configuring frequent LP-WUS resources, the latency of SSSG transitions can be reduced, thereby optimizing terminal power conservation, increasing PDCCH transmission flexibility, and improving data transmission performance.

[0478] For example, assuming two SSSGs are configured, one bit of information can be carried in the LP-WUS to indicate this. Assuming three SSSGs are configured, two bits of information can be transmitted in the LP-WUS to indicate this. Alternatively, assuming three SSSGs are configured, each can be indicated using one of three sequences transmitted in the LP-WUS. This approach eliminates the need to configure an information field indicating SSSG switching in the DCI formats, such as DCI 0-1 or 1-1.

[0479] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal is used to explicitly indicate whether the terminal should keep operating in the current SSSG or switch to a second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs.

[0480] Exemplarily, the LP-WUS may carry one bit of information, which is used to indicate to continue using the current SSSG unless indication information of other SSSG switching is received; or, the bit information is used to indicate to switch to a fixed SSSG, for example, SSSG #0, corresponding to Beh 2.

[0481] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to switch to the second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs.

[0482] For example, the LP-WUS may indicate a transition to a fixed SSSG, such as SSSG #0, corresponding to Beh 2. When the terminal does not receive the LP-WUS, the terminal continues to use the current SSSG unless it receives information indicating a transition to another SSSG. Using this method, the terminal can still indicate a transition from SSSG #0 to another SSSG (i.e., corresponding to Beh 2A or Beh 2B).

[0483] For example, when a terminal is configured with three SSSGs, since the DCI does not need to indicate the transition to SSSG #0, only one bit can be used to distinguish between the transition to SSSG #1 or SSSG #2. This method reduces the number of MR transmissions of SSSG switching and does not require the LP-WUS to carry additional information.

[0484] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to keep operating in the current SSSG.

[0485] Exemplarily, the LP-WUS may instruct the UE to continue using the current SSSG unless it receives information indicating a transition to another SSSG. When the terminal does not receive the LP-WUS, the terminal may transition to a fixed SSSG, such as SSSG #0, corresponding to Beh 2. The network device needs to continue sending the LP-WUS to the UE until it is necessary to instruct the terminal to transition to the fixed SSSG. The network device may not send the LP-WUS information for the terminal in the LP-WUS position, so that the terminal does not receive the LP-WUS, causing the terminal to transition to the fixed SSSG.

[0486] In some embodiments, the delay between the reception timing of the second power saving signal and the activation timing of the SSSG to which the terminal switches is related to the SCS.

[0487] For example, a delay can be defined from the reception timing of the LP-WUS to the actual activation of another SSSG. This delay can be related to the subcarrier spacing (SCS). The timing of the LP-WUS and the downlink slot or symbol timing can have a strict timing relationship, so that after the terminal detects the LP-WUS, it obtains its corresponding downlink slot / symbol timing, and thus the terminal can obtain the actual SSSG activation timing after adding the SSSG transition delay. For example, the above delay can reuse the SSSG transition delay defined in the existing 3GPP standard.

[0488] In some embodiments, the terminal is configured to perform DRX, and the network device sends a second power saving signal to the terminal, including:

[0489] Before the DRX on period, the network device sends a second power saving signal to the terminal;

[0490] Alternatively, before the DRX on period and during the DRX on period, the network device sends a second power saving signal to the terminal.

[0491] For example, when the terminal is configured to perform C-DRX, a second power saving signal may be sent to the network device to the terminal, causing the terminal to detect an LP-WUS before transitioning to a DRX on-period, where the LP-WUS indicates an SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the LP-WUS may be detected both before the DRX on-period and during the DRX period, where the LP-WUS indicates an SSSG to be activated.

[0492] Step S2204: The terminal detects the second power saving signal.

[0493] In some embodiments, the terminal detects the second power saving signal when the second power saving signal detection function is activated.

[0494] In some embodiments, the terminal receives the second power saving signal using a first receiver, which is, for example, a low power consumption receiver.

[0495] In some embodiments, the detection result of the second power saving signal is used to determine whether to switch to SSSG.

[0496] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to explicitly instruct the terminal to switch to a first SSSG; the first SSSG is any one of a plurality of SSSGs configured for the terminal; or,

[0497] The power saving signal is used to explicitly indicate whether the terminal should keep working in the current SSSG or switch to a second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0498] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to switch to the second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0499] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to keep operating in the current SSSG.

[0500] In some embodiments, a delay between a reception timing of the power saving signal and an activation timing of the SSSG to which the terminal switches is related to a subcarrier spacing SCS.

[0501] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the second power saving signal includes:

[0502] The terminal is configured to perform DRX, and detect the second power saving signal before an on period of the DRX;

[0503] Alternatively, the terminal is configured to perform DRX, and detect the second power saving signal before and during an on-period of the DRX.

[0504] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the second power saving signal includes:

[0505] The second power saving signal is detected by a target carrier among multiple carriers in carrier aggregation (CA); wherein the second power saving signal is used to indicate SSSG conversion on the target carrier or multiple carriers.

[0506] In some embodiments, the first and second power saving signals include multiple bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate SSSGs on different carriers; or,

[0507] The second power saving signal includes a bit field; the bit field is used to indicate the SSSGs on the multiple carriers; or,

[0508] The second power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; one of the bit fields is mapped to an SSSG on one or more of the carriers; or

[0509] The second power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate SSSGs of different carrier groups.

[0510] In some embodiments, the second power saving signal includes a bit field indicating SSSGs on multiple carriers, and SSSG configurations of different carriers are different; or,

[0511] The second power saving signal includes a bit field indicating an SSSG of the carrier group, and different carriers in the carrier group have different SSSG configurations.

[0512] For example, in the case of carrier aggregation (CA), the LP-WUS detected on one carrier may indicate SSSG conversion on multiple carriers, namely Beh 2 or Beh 2A or Beh 2B.

[0513] In some examples, corresponding to each carrier, the LP-WUS may carry different bit fields to indicate the detection behavior of the SSSG conversion of different carriers, which may maximize the flexibility of the working state of each carrier.

[0514] In some examples, corresponding to each carrier, the LP-WUS may carry a bit field to indicate the detection behavior of the SSSG conversion of multiple carriers. The SSSG configurations of the multiple carriers may be the same. This can minimize the amount of information that the LP-WUS needs to indicate. Alternatively, the SSSG configurations of the various carriers may be different. In this case, it is necessary to define a mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the detection behavior of the SSSG conversion of the multiple carriers. Using this method, a compromise can be achieved between the amount of information indicated by the LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG conversion of each carrier.

[0515] In some examples, assuming that the LP-WUS carries information in one or more bit fields, the base station configures, for each carrier, which bit field of the LP-WUS the SSSG information is mapped to. Depending on the base station implementation, each carrier may be mapped to a different bit field, or two or more carriers may be mapped to the same bit field. The SSSG configurations of the multiple carriers mapped to the same bit field may be the same or different. This method controls the amount of LP-WUS information and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG of each carrier through base station implementation.

[0516] In some examples, it is assumed that the LP-WUS carries information of one or more bit fields, and each bit field is used to indicate the SSSG of a carrier group (Cell Group, CG). The base station can configure one or more CGs. The SSSG configurations of multiple carriers within the same CG can be the same. If the SSSG configurations of the various carriers of a CG are different, it is necessary to define the mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the status of the SSSG of multiple carriers of a CG. The above-mentioned method of dividing CGs can be based on the method for processing SSSG switching for configuring carrier groups (cellGroupsForSwitchList) in the existing standard. Alternatively, the above-mentioned method of dividing CGs can be based on the method for dividing and executing secondary carrier (SCell) dormancy (dormancy) in the existing standard. This method is implemented by the base station to control the amount of information of the LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG of each carrier.

[0517] Step S2205: The terminal performs the second operation.

[0518] In some embodiments, the second operation is used to control a PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal.

[0519] In some embodiments, the second operation is: converting the SSSG.

[0520] In some embodiments, the terminal determines whether to perform the second operation based on a detection result of the second power saving signal.

[0521] For example, if the detection result of the second power saving signal indicates that the SSSG needs to be switched, the second operation is performed.

[0522] For example, if the detection result of the second power saving signal indicates that the SSSG does not need to be converted, the second operation is not performed.

[0523] In some embodiments, the terminal performs a second operation according to a detection result of the second power saving signal.

[0524] The information processing method involved in the embodiments of the present disclosure may include at least one of steps S2201 to S2205. For example, step S2203 may be implemented as an independent embodiment, and step S2204 may be implemented as an independent embodiment. For example, step S2202 combined with step S2205 may be implemented as an independent embodiment, and steps S2201 to S2205 may be implemented as independent embodiments, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0525] In some embodiments, step S2201 is optional and may be omitted or replaced in different embodiments.

[0526] FIG2c is an interactive diagram illustrating an information processing method according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG2c, the present disclosure embodiment relates to an information processing method for a communication system 100, the method comprising:

[0527] Step S2301: The network device sends first information to the terminal.

[0528] In some embodiments, the terminal receives first information sent by the network device.

[0529] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2301 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2101 in Figure 2a and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2a, which will not be repeated here.

[0530] Step S2302: The network device determines whether to send a third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0531] In some embodiments, the third power saving signal may be a wake-up signal, for example, a low-power wake-up signal, or a sleep signal.

[0532] In some embodiments, the network device determines whether to send the third power saving signal to the terminal according to information about whether the terminal needs to adjust a time period skipped by the PDCCH.

[0533] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to adjust information about the time period skipped by the PDCCH, the network device determines to send a third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0534] In some embodiments, when the network device does not need the terminal to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information, it determines not to send the third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0535] In some embodiments, the network device may determine whether the terminal needs to adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH according to whether the PDCCH needs to be transmitted to the terminal.

[0536] In some embodiments, the network device determines whether to send the third power saving signal to the terminal according to whether the terminal is required to switch to the SSSG.

[0537] In some embodiments, when the network device requires the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines to send a third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0538] In some embodiments, when the network device does not require the terminal to switch to the SSSG, the network device determines not to send the third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0539] Step S2303: The network device sends a third power saving signal to the terminal.

[0540] In some embodiments, the terminal receives a third power saving signal sent by the network device.

[0541] In some embodiments, the network device sends a third power saving signal to the terminal that activates the power saving signal detection function.

[0542] In some embodiments, the detection result of the third power saving signal is used to determine whether to convert the SSSG or adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information.

[0543] In some embodiments, the third power saving signal may be LP-WUS.

[0544] In some embodiments, when LP-WUS detection of a terminal is activated, the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal may be determined by combining a mechanism of SSSG conversion and PDCCH skipping.

[0545] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG to which the terminal needs to switch, and does not indicate PDCCH skipping.

[0546] Exemplarily, when the LP-WUS detection of the terminal is activated, the LP-WUS can be used to indicate an SSSG to be switched to, but the LP-WUS cannot indicate PDCCH skipping. This method can be applicable when the terminal is detecting the PDCCH of a certain SSSG, that is, Beh 2 or Beh 2A. Alternatively, this method can also be used when the terminal is in any PDCCH detection behavior, that is, two SSSGs (that is, Beh 2, Beh 2A) and PDCCH skipping of one or two time periods (Beh 1A). This is because, considering that the terminal can only work in one of the two SSSGs, the LP-WUS needs to carry at most 1 bit of information.

[0547] In this example, the terminal can receive SSSG conversion information with extremely low power consumption, and by configuring frequent LP-WUS resources, the delay of SSSG conversion can be reduced, thereby optimizing terminal power saving and improving the flexibility of PDCCH transmission and data transmission performance.

[0548] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to explicitly instruct the terminal to switch to a first SSSG; the first SSSG is any one of a plurality of SSSGs configured for the terminal; or,

[0549] The power saving signal is used to explicitly indicate whether the terminal should keep working in the current SSSG or switch to a second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0550] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to switch to the second SSSG; the second SSSG is a specified SSSG among the multiple SSSGs; or,

[0551] The power saving signal is used to implicitly instruct the terminal to keep operating in the current SSSG.

[0552] In some embodiments, the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state; the power saving signal is further used to indicate: an activated SSSG and that the terminal ends the PDCCH skipping in advance.

[0553] Exemplarily, when the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state (ie, Beh 1A), the LP-WUS may indicate an early end of the PDCCH skipping and indicate an activated SSSG.

[0554] In some embodiments, the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state; the power saving signal is further used to indicate: an activated SSSG and an extension of a PDCCH skipping time period by the terminal.

[0555] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG to which to switch after a PDCCH skipping period ends.

[0556] Exemplarily, when the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state (ie, Beh 1A), the LP-WUS may also indicate an extension of the PDCCH skipping and an activated SSSG.

[0557] For example, when LP-WUS detection is activated for a terminal, when the terminal begins skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1A), the LP-WUS can indicate adjustment of the length of the PDCCH skipping period and indicate an SSSG to be transitioned to after the PDCCH skipping ends, thereby supporting greater scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving. This method is only applicable when the terminal is in the state of skipping PDCCH detection, i.e., Beh 1A.

[0558] In some examples, the third power saving signal is used to indicate one of the following:

[0559] Whether the terminal ends PDCCH skipping early;

[0560] Whether the terminal maintains PDCCH skipping within a first time period; the first time period is included in the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0561] Whether the terminal extends the PDCCH skipping time period;

[0562] The terminal starts PDCCH detection when the PDCCH skipping time period ends.

[0563] In some examples, the third power saving signal is used to indicate one of the following:

[0564] The terminal ends PDCCH skipping;

[0565] The terminal maintains a PDCCH skipping state.

[0566] In some examples, the third power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to end PDCCH skipping and is also used for time period information of PDCCH detection.

[0567] In some examples, the third power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position.

[0568] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2303 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2103 in Figure 2a and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2a, which will not be repeated here.

[0569] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2303 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2203 in Figure 2b and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2b, which will not be repeated here.

[0570] Step S2304: The terminal detects the third power saving signal.

[0571] In some embodiments, the terminal detects the third power saving signal when the third power saving signal detection function is activated.

[0572] In some embodiments, the terminal uses a first receiver to receive the third power saving signal. The first receiver is, for example, a low power consumption receiver.

[0573] In some embodiments, the detection result of the third power saving signal is used to determine whether to convert the SSSG or adjust the time period information skipped by the PDCCH.

[0574] In some embodiments, the terminal is configured to perform DRX, and detecting, by the terminal, a third power saving signal includes:

[0575] Before the DRX on period, the terminal detects a third power saving signal;

[0576] or,

[0577] Before and during the DRX on period, the terminal detects a third power saving signal.

[0578] For example, when a terminal is configured to perform C-DRX, the LP-WUS may be detected only before transitioning to DRX ON, with the LP-WUS indicating the SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the LP-WUS may be detected both before the start of the DRX ON state and during the DRX ON period, with the LP-WUS indicating the SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the UE may detect the LP-WUS during both the DRX ON and DRX OFF periods of C-DRX, with the LP-WUS indicating the SSSG to be activated. Thus, PDCCH detection and data transmission of the UE can be triggered even in the DRX OFF state.

[0579] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the third power saving signal includes:

[0580] The terminal is in a PDCCH detection state, and the terminal detects a third power saving signal, wherein the third power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to switch to a target SSSG or perform PDCCH skipping;

[0581] Alternatively, the terminal is in a PDCCH skipping state, and the terminal detects a third power saving signal, where the third power saving signal is used to indicate a target SSSG or adjust information about a PDCCH skipping time period.

[0582] For example, when the LP-WUS detection of the terminal is activated, when the terminal is detecting the PDCCH of a certain SSSG, i.e., Beh 2, Beh 2A, the LP-WUS may instruct the UE to switch to a configured SSSG or PDCCH skipping state, i.e., indicating one of two SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2, Beh 2A) and one or two time period lengths of PDCCH skipping (i.e., Beh 1A). When the UE starts skipping PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the LP-WUS may indicate a configured SSSG or indicate adjustment of the PDCCH skipping time period length to control the PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal.

[0583] In some embodiments, the terminal detecting the third power saving signal includes:

[0584] The third power saving signal is detected at a target carrier among multiple carriers in carrier aggregation (CA); wherein the third power saving signal is used to indicate SSSG conversion or PDCCH skipping on the target carrier or multiple carriers.

[0585] In some embodiments, the third power saving signal includes multiple bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate SSSG or PDCCH skipping on different carriers;

[0586] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes a bit field; the bit field is used to indicate SSSG or PDCCH skipping on multiple carriers;

[0587] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; one of the bit fields is mapped to an SSSG or PDCCH skip on one or more of the carriers;

[0588] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes information of one or more bit fields; different bit fields are used to indicate SSSG or PDCCH skipping of different carrier groups.

[0589] In some embodiments, the third power saving signal includes a bit field indicating SSSGs on a plurality of the carriers, and SSSG configurations of different carriers are different;

[0590] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes a bit field indicating PDCCH skipping on multiple carriers, and the PDCCH skipping configurations of different carriers are different;

[0591] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes a bit field indicating an SSSG of the carrier group, and SSSG configurations of different carriers in the carrier group are different;

[0592] Alternatively, the third power saving signal includes a bit field indicating PDCCH skipping of one of the carrier groups, and PDCCH skipping configurations of different carriers in the carrier group are different.

[0593] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2304 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2104 in Figure 2a and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2a, which will not be repeated here.

[0594] In some embodiments, the optional implementation of step S2304 can refer to the optional implementation of step S2204 in Figure 2b and other related parts of the embodiment involved in Figure 2b, which will not be repeated here.

[0595] Step S2305: The terminal performs the third operation.

[0596] In some embodiments, the third operation is used to control a PDCCH detection behavior of the terminal.

[0597] In some embodiments, the third operation is: switching the SSSG or adjusting the PDCCH skipping time period information. For example, the third operation is: the terminal switches to the target SSSG or performs PDCCH skipping.

[0598] In some embodiments, the terminal determines whether to perform the third operation based on a detection result of the third power saving signal.

[0599] For example, if the detection result of the third power saving signal indicates that the SSSG needs to be converted or the PDCCH skipping time period information does not need to be adjusted, the third operation is performed.

[0600] For example, if the detection result of the third power saving signal indicates that the SSSG does not need to be converted or the PDCCH skipping time period information does not need to be adjusted, the third operation is not performed.

[0601] In some embodiments, the terminal performs a third operation according to a detection result of the third power saving signal.

[0634] In some embodiments, the detection result of the power saving signal is used to determine whether to adjust the PDCCH skipping time period information.

[0635] In some embodiments, detecting the power-saving signal includes:

[0643] The terminal ends PDCCH skipping;

[0644] The terminal maintains a PDCCH skipping state.

[0645] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to instruct the terminal to end PDCCH skipping and is also used for time period information of PDCCH detection.

[0646] In some embodiments, detecting the power-saving signal includes:

[0647] The power saving signal is detected continuously or periodically; wherein the power saving signal is used to indicate whether the terminal needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position.

[0648] In some embodiments, the detection result of the power saving signal is used to determine whether to switch the search space set group SSSG.

[0649] In some embodiments, the power saving signal is used to explicitly instruct the terminal to switch to a first SSSG; the first SSSG is any one of a plurality of SSSGs configured for the terminal; or,

[0774] In the embodiments of the present disclosure, some or all of the steps and their optional implementations may be arbitrarily combined with some or all of the steps in other embodiments, or may be arbitrarily combined with the optional implementations of other embodiments.

[0775] The present disclosure provides an information processing method for enhancing SSSG switching and PDCCH skipping when LP-WUS is activated, thereby achieving more flexible switching of UE PDCCH detection behavior with lower UE power consumption, supporting better PDCCH scheduling flexibility and transmission performance.

[0776] Solution 1: Combination of LP-WUS detection and PDCCH skipping mechanism.

[0777] When LP-WUS detection is not activated, the PDCCH skipping mechanism still operates as defined in Rel-17. That is, the UE switches between continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) and skipping PDCCH detection within a time period (i.e., Beh 1A). The length of the time period for skipping PDCCH detection can be one or more. When LP-WUS detection is activated for the UE, the PDCCH detection behavior of the UE can be controlled by adjusting the length of the PDCCH skipping time period, thereby supporting better scheduling flexibility and maximizing power saving.

[0778] Method 1: When the UE begins skipping PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the UE detects the LP-WUS. The LP-WUS can indicate whether the UE needs to terminate Beh 1A early and return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The base station sends the LP-WUS only when it needs to indicate the early termination of PDCCH skipping.

[0779] Figure 6a is an example where LP-WUS indicates an early end to Beh 1A. Specifically, assume that the configured PDCCH skip (i.e., Beh1A) can have multiple time periods S, with time period Sa < Sb. Assume that the UE performs PDCCH skipping within time period Sb. Then the base station can use LP-WUS to indicate to the UE that it only needs to perform PDCCH skipping within time period Sa, so that the UE returns to continuous PDCCH detection earlier. Alternatively, LP-WUS can also indicate that the UE maintains the PDCCH skip state, and the UE continuously detects the configured LP-WUS. When the UE does not detect LP-WUS at a configured LP-WUS position, the UE returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The base station needs to continuously transmit the UE's LP-WUS. When the base station needs to end Beh 1A early, the base station stops transmitting the UE's LP-WUS. By using this method, when new data arrives after the UE enters the PDCCH skip state, the data transmission delay of the UE can be reduced.

[0780] The second method: When the UE starts skipping PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skip mechanism, the UE detects LP-WUS. LP-WUS can be used to indicate whether the UE can extend the time length of PDCCH skipping, so as to obtain additional power saving. If the UE does not receive LP-WUS, after the current PDCCH skip time period ends, the UE returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The base station only needs to transmit LP-WUS when indicating an extended PDCCH skip.

[0781] Figure 6b is an example where LP-WUS indicates an extended PDCCH skip. Here, assume that the PDCCH skip is extended by an additional time X. X can be predefined or configured. X can be indicated by LP-WUS. Specifically, X can be equal to the time period length of Beh 1A. Alternatively, LP-WUS can also be used to indicate that the UE returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) after the end of the current PDCCH skip time period. If the UE does not receive LP-WUS, the UE extends the time length of PDCCH skipping, so as to obtain additional power saving. The base station needs to continuously transmit the UE's LP-WUS. When the base station needs to switch the UE to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1), the base station stops transmitting the UE's LP-WUS.

[0782] The third method: After the end of time period S, during which PDCCH detection is skipped (i.e., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the UE detects the LP-WUS to determine whether to initiate continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The LP-WUS detection can also occur earlier than the end of time period S, thereby indicating whether the UE can initiate continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) in the first slot after the end of time period S. The LP-WUS can instruct the UE to initiate continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1); if the UE does not receive the LP-WUS, the UE does not perform PDCCH detection, thereby achieving additional power savings. The base station only needs to send the LP-WUS when instructing the UE to initiate continuous PDCCH detection. Alternatively, the LP-WUS can indicate that the UE does not need to perform PDCCH detection, thereby achieving additional power savings; if the UE does not receive the LP-WUS, it initiates continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The base station needs to continue sending the LP-WUS to the UE until it is necessary to instruct the UE to initiate continuous PDCCH detection.

[0783] By adopting the second or third method above, when no new data arrives after the UE enters the PDCCH skipping state, additional power saving can be achieved by extending the PDCCH skipping time period.

[0784] Fourth method: After the UE begins skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, it can determine when to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) by monitoring the LP-WUS alone. This LP-WUS-based detection behavior completely replaces the skipping of PDCCH detection for a period of time (i.e., Beh 1A). The LP-WUS can instruct the UE to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1).

[0785] Figure 6c is an example of an LP-WUS indication transition to Beh 1. The base station only needs to send LP-WUS when instructing the UE to start continuous PDCCH detection. Alternatively, LP-WUS can also instruct the UE to maintain the PDCCH skipping state, and the UE continuously detects the configured LP-WUS. When the UE does not detect LP-WUS at a configured LP-WUS position, the UE returns to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1). The base station needs to continue sending LP-WUS to the UE until it needs to instruct the UE to start continuous PDCCH detection. Using this method, when the UE enters the PDCCH skipping state, it can support early termination of PDCCH skipping and can also support extending the length of PDCCH skipping, thereby taking into account both power saving and data transmission delay. Using this method, the UE can determine whether it needs to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) based on the detection results after detecting each LP-WUS resource. Alternatively, after detecting every N LP-WUS resources, the UE may also comprehensively determine whether it is necessary to return to continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) based on the detection results of these N LP-WUS resources. For example, as long as one LP-WUS among the N LP-WUS positions indicates that it is necessary to return to Beh 1, the UE starts continuous PDCCH detection.

[0786] Fifth method: Based on the fourth method above, when the LP-WUS instructs the UE to perform continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1), the length of the time period T for continuous PDCCH detection can be further indicated. After the time period T ends, the UE skips the PDCCH detection and detects the LP-WUS. The length of the above time period T can be a predefined or configured value. Alternatively, the lengths of multiple time periods T can be configured or predefined, and the LP-WUS can be used to indicate one of the values for continuous PDCCH detection.

[0787] The sixth method: The UE may continuously detect the LP-WUS or detect the LP-WUS according to a configured period. The LP-WUS indicates whether the UE needs to detect the PDCCH at the next PDCCH detection position (MO). With this method, there is no need to distinguish between continuous PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1) and skipped PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A). Alternatively, the UE may detect the LP-WUS only when continuous PDCCH detection starts according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1) and determine whether it needs to receive the PDCCH of the next MO. When skipping PDCCH detection (i.e., Beh 1A) according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism, the UE may not detect the LP-WUS.

[0788] Solution 2: Combining LP-WUS detection and SSSG switching mechanism.

[0789] When LP-WUS detection is not activated, the SSSG switching mechanism still operates as defined in Rel-17. This means that the UE switches between two SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2, 2A) or three SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2, 2A, 2B). When LP-WUS detection is activated for the UE, the LP-WUS can be used to indicate the SSSG to which it will switch. This approach allows the UE to receive SSSG switching information with minimal power consumption. Furthermore, by configuring frequent LP-WUS resources, SSSG switching latency can be reduced, thereby optimizing UE power conservation, increasing PDCCH transmission flexibility, and improving data transmission performance. In solution 2, a delay is defined between the LP-WUS reception timing and the actual activation of another SSSG. This delay can be related to the subcarrier spacing (SCS). The LP-WUS timing and downlink slot / symbol timing can have a strict timing relationship. This allows the UE to detect the LP-WUS and obtain the corresponding downlink slot / symbol timing, thereby determining the actual SSSG activation timing after accounting for the SSSG switching delay. For example, the above delay may reuse the SSSG switching delay defined in the existing 3GPP standard.

[0790] The first method: The LP-WUS can indicate the SSSG to switch to. For example, if two SSSGs are configured, the LP-WUS can carry one bit of information to indicate this. If three SSSGs are configured, the LP-WUS can transmit two bits of information to indicate this. Alternatively, if three SSSGs are configured, each can be indicated using one of three sequences transmitted by the LP-WUS. This method eliminates the need for a field in the DCI format (e.g., DCI 0-1 or 1-1) to indicate SSSG switching.

[0791] The second method: LP-WUS may carry one bit of information to distinguish: 1) continue to use the current SSSG unless receiving an indication of another SSSG switching; 2) switch to a fixed SSSG, for example, SSSG #0, corresponding to Beh 2.

[0792] The third method: LP-WUS can indicate a transition to a fixed SSSG, for example, SSSG #0, which corresponds to Beh 2. When the UE does not receive the LP-WUS, the UE continues to use the current SSSG unless it receives an indication of other SSSG switching. With this method, the Rel-17 method can still be used to indicate the transition from SSSG #0 to other SSSGs (i.e., corresponding to Beh 2A or 2B). For example, when the UE is configured with three SSSGs, because the DCI does not need to indicate the transition to SSSG #0, only one bit can be used to distinguish between the transition to SSSG #1 or SSSG #2. This method reduces the number of MR transmissions of SSSG switching and does not require the LP-WUS to carry additional information.

[0793] Fourth method: The LP-WUS may instruct the UE to continue using the current SSSG unless it receives an indication of another SSSG switching. If the UE does not receive the LP-WUS, it may switch to a fixed SSSG, such as SSSG #0, corresponding to Beh 2. The base station needs to continue sending the LP-WUS to the UE until it is required to instruct the UE to switch to the fixed SSSG. The base station may not send the LP-WUS information to the UE at the LP-WUS position, so that the UE does not receive the LP-WUS, causing the UE to switch to the fixed SSSG.

[0794] Using the above method, when the UE is configured for discontinuous reception (C-DRX), the LP-WUS may be detected only before transitioning to DRX ON, with the LP-WUS indicating the SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the LP-WUS may be detected both before the start of DRX ON and during the DRX ON period, with the LP-WUS indicating the SSSG to be activated.

[0795] Solution 3: Combining LP-WUS detection with the 'SSSG switching + PDCCH skipping' mechanism.

[0796] Without LP-WUS detection enabled, SSSG switching and PDCCH skipping continue to operate as defined in Rel-17. This means the UE switches between two SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2 and Beh 2A) and one or two PDCCH skipping periods (Beh 1A). When LP-WUS detection is enabled, the UE's behavior can be determined by combining the aforementioned solutions 1 and 2.

[0797] The first method: When the UE's LP-WUS detection is activated, the LP-WUS can be used to indicate the SSSG to which it will transition, but the LP-WUS cannot indicate PDCCH skipping. This method can be used only when the UE is detecting the PDCCH of a specific SSSG, i.e., Beh 2, 2A. Alternatively, this method can be used in any state, i.e., two SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2, 2A) and one or two periods of PDCCH skipping (Beh 1A). Because the UE can only operate in one of the two SSSGs, the LP-WUS needs to carry a maximum of one bit of information. The four methods described in the second solution above can be used in this situation. Using this method, the UE can receive SSSG switching information with extremely low power consumption. By configuring frequent LP-WUS resources, SSSG switching latency can be reduced, thereby optimizing UE power conservation, increasing PDCCH transmission flexibility, and improving data transmission performance. When the UE is in the PDCCH skipping state (i.e., Beh 1A), the LP-WUS can indicate the early termination of PDCCH skipping and indicate the active SSSG. When the UE is in the PDCCH skipping state (i.e., Beh 1A), the LP-WUS may also indicate the extension of the PDCCH skipping and indicate the activated SSSG. When the UE is configured to perform C-DRX, the LP-WUS may be detected only before switching to DRX ON, and the LP-WUS indicates the SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the LP-WUS may be detected before the start of the DRX ON state and during the DRX ON period, and the LP-WUS indicates the SSSG to be activated. Alternatively, the UE may detect the LP-WUS during both the DRX ON and DRX OFF periods of C-DRX, and the LP-WUS indicates the SSSG to be activated. Thus, the UE's PDCCH detection and data transmission can be triggered even in the DRX OFF state.

[0798] The second method: When the UE's LP-WUS detection is activated, when the UE begins skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1A), the LP-WUS can indicate the adjustment of the PDCCH skipping period length and indicate the SSSG to be transitioned to after the PDCCH skipping ends, thereby supporting greater scheduling flexibility and maximizing power savings. This method is only applicable when the UE is in the PDCCH skipping state, i.e., Beh 1A. The six methods in the above solution one can be used in this situation.

[0799] The third method: When the UE's LP-WUS detection is activated, when the UE is detecting the PDCCH of a certain SSSG (i.e., Beh 2, 2A), the LP-WUS can instruct the UE to transition to a configured SSSG or PDCCH skipping state, that is, indicating one of two SSSGs (i.e., Beh 2, 2A) and one or two time period lengths of PDCCH skipping (Beh 1A). When the UE starts skipping PDCCH detection according to the PDCCH skipping mechanism (i.e., Beh 1A), the LP-WUS can indicate a configured SSSG or indicate adjustment of the PDCCH skipping time period length to control the UE's PDCCH detection behavior.

[0800] Solution 4: For the above three solutions, the base station can configure LP-WUS resources according to the status of the UE, that is, Beh 1 / 1A / 2 / 2A / 2B.

[0801] For example, the period of LP-WUS corresponding to different state configurations can be different. In particular, assuming that the PDCCH MO of an SSSG does not occur frequently, the delay of triggering SSSG switching or PDCCH skipping can be reduced by configuring more frequent LP-WUS resources.

[0802] Alternatively, for the above three solutions, the base station may configure the UE with the same set of LP-WUS resources, independent of the UE's state, i.e., Beh 1 / 1A / 2 / 2A / 2B.

[0803] Solution 5: For carrier aggregation (CA), the LP-WUS detected on one carrier may indicate SSSG switching or PDCCH skipping behavior on multiple carriers, i.e., one of Beh 1 / 1A / 2 / 2A / 2B.

[0804] The first approach is to use different bit fields in the LP-WUS for each carrier to indicate SSSG switching or PDCCH skipping for each carrier. This approach maximizes the flexibility of each carrier's operating state, but at the expense of increasing the amount of information indicated by the LP-WUS.

[0805] The second method: corresponding to each carrier, LP-WUS can carry a bit field to indicate the SSSG or PDCCH skipping status of the above-mentioned multiple carriers. The SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping configuration of the multiple carriers may be the same. This method can minimize the amount of information that LP-WUS needs to indicate. Alternatively, the SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping configuration of each carrier may be different. At this time, it is necessary to define the mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping status of multiple carriers. By adopting this method, a compromise can be achieved between the amount of information indicated by LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG or PDCCH skipping status of each carrier.

[0806] The third method: Assuming that the LP-WUS carries information of one or more bit fields, for each carrier, the base station configures which bit field of the LP-WUS the information of its SSSG or PDCCH skipping status is mapped to. Depending on the base station implementation, each carrier can be mapped to a different bit field, or two or more carriers can be mapped to the same bit field. The SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping configuration of the multiple carriers mapped to the same bit field can be the same or different. This method is implemented by the base station to control the amount of LP-WUS information and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG or PDCCH skipping status of each carrier.

[0807] The fourth method: Assume that the LP-WUS carries information of one or more bit fields, and each bit field is used to indicate the SSSG or PDCCH skipping status of a carrier group (Cell Group, CG). The base station can configure one or more CGs. The SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping configuration of multiple carriers within the same CG can be the same. If the SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping configuration of each carrier of a CG are different, it is necessary to define the mapping relationship between the codeword of the above-mentioned one bit field and the SSSG configuration and PDCCH skipping status of multiple carriers of a CG. The above-mentioned method of dividing CGs can be based on the method for processing SSSG switching for configuring carrier groups (cell Groups For SwitchList) in the existing standard. Alternatively, the method of dividing CGs can be based on the method for dividing and executing secondary carrier (SCell) dormancy (dormancy) in the existing standard. This method is implemented by the base station to control the amount of information of the LP-WUS and the flexibility of indicating the SSSG or PDCCH skipping status of each carrier.
