Abstract
Description
Shooting aids for pistols
[0001] The present invention relates to a shooting assist device for a pistol, and more particularly, to a shooting assist device for a pistol that can reduce recoil force upon firing while increasing accuracy by using an arm as a support.
[0002] In general, pistols are relatively small firearms compared to rifles and are used by holding them with one or both hands. Due to the nature of being held and used, they are sold without shooting aids such as stocks.
[0003] Accordingly, compared to a rifle that can be properly held with a stock and a stable posture can be created for shooting with both hands and arms, a pistol has a limited ability to hold the grip with both hands without a stock, no matter how stable a posture one tries to maintain, so the accuracy is bound to be low, and since the recoil force when firing is considerable, it is not easy to shoot accurately continuously.
[0004] Accordingly, U.S. registered patent US 8,776,421 B1 (hereinafter referred to as the "cited invention") discloses a stock that can be mounted on a pistol and attached to the user's shoulder as illustrated in FIG. 1. However, shoulder-mounted stocks such as the cited invention are relatively long compared to pistols, and due to a recent ruling under the U.S. Federal Firearms Act that "a shoulder-mounted stock applied to a pistol is considered a rifle, not a pistol," pistol owners are unable to use them or are subject to restrictions on their use.
[0005] The present invention is intended to solve the above problems, and the purpose of the present invention is to provide a shooting assistance device for a pistol that is not classified as a rifle even when mounted on a pistol by using an arm as a support, and that can increase accuracy and reduce recoil force upon firing.
[0006] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a shooting assistance device for a pistol, including: a fixed module that is fitted and fixed inside the grip of a pistol and on which a user's hand holding the grip is to rest; and a support module that includes a support member that is arranged to face rearward from both sides of the fixed module and a support pad that is provided at the rear end of the support member and covers the upper part of the user's arm.
[0007] In addition, the support may include a first support that is arranged to be inclined upward toward the rear from the rear end of the fixed module, and a second support that is arranged horizontally toward the rear from the rear end of the first support and has a support pad provided at the rear end.
[0008] In addition, the support module may be configured such that a portion of the first support is positioned adjacent to both sides of the rear end of the fixed module, and may be rotated to face forward with the front end of the first support as an axis, and on both sides of the rear end of the fixed module, a support wing that restricts upward movement of the first support that is positioned to be inclined upward toward the rear may be protruded, and a first stumbling block piece that restricts downward movement of the first support may be protruded.
[0009] In addition, the support auxiliary module may further be arranged to be inclined upward toward the front from the support and the front end is supported near the upper end of the handle.
[0010] In addition, the support auxiliary module includes an auxiliary support member whose rear end is rotatably connected to the support member and is arranged to be inclined upward toward the front, and an auxiliary support member provided at the front end of the auxiliary support member and in contact with the upper portion of the handle, wherein the auxiliary support member may not be rotated beyond a specific angle that can be arranged to be inclined upward toward the front when rotated to form a predetermined angle with the support member while being parallel to the support member.
[0011] According to the present invention, the user's hand holding the grip of the pistol is supported from the lower side by forming an integral part with the pistol through a fixed module, and a support pad provided at the rear end of the support connected to the fixed module covers the upper side of the user's arm, thereby enabling stable aiming, increasing the accuracy, and reducing the recoil force resulting from firing.
[0012] Since this invention uses a stock (buttstock) that is not on the shoulder but on the arm, it is not classified as a rifle even when mounted on a pistol, and is not subject to rifle regulations, allowing for easy adoption of various shooting positions.

[0024] The present invention proposes a shooting assistance device for a pistol, including: a fixed module that is fitted and fixed inside the handle of a pistol and on which a user's hand holding the handle rests, so that even when mounted on a pistol, the gun is not classified as a rifle by using the arm as a support, and so as to increase accuracy and reduce recoil force upon firing; and a support module that includes a support provided to face rearward from both sides of the fixed module and a support pad provided at the rear end of the support to cover the upper part of the user's arm.
[0025] The scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below, and various modifications may be made by a person having ordinary knowledge in the relevant technical field without departing from the technical spirit of the present invention.
[0026] Hereinafter, the shooting assistance device for a pistol according to the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings 2 to 13.
[0027]
[0028] The present invention's shooting assistance device for a pistol, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 13, basically includes a fixed module (100) and a support module (200), and is configured to be integrally mounted with a pistol (10) and to enable a stable shooting posture to be assumed using an arm.
[0029] The fixed module (100) is coupled to the pistol (10) and serves to support the hand of the user holding the pistol (10). In order to support the hand of the user holding the pistol (10), the fixed module (100) may include a fixed body (120) formed in the shape of a rod having a predetermined length from the lower end of the handle (11) of the pistol (10) toward the rear, as illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 7, and the fixed body (120) supports the hand of the user holding the handle (11) from the lower side while the front end is directly or indirectly integral with the handle (11) of the pistol (10), as illustrated in FIG. 5. In addition, the fixed body (120) may be configured to support not only the hand of the user but also the wrist at the same time. At this time, the upper surface of the fixed body (120) may be formed in consideration of the step between the user's hand blade portion and the connected wrist portion where the user is seated.
[0030] The fixed body (120) can be integrally formed by being fitted into the pistol (10), and for this purpose, the fixed module (100) can further include a fitting (110) that is fitted and fixed inside the handle (11) of the pistol (10). As shown in FIGS. 2 to 7, the fitting (110) can be configured to protrude upward from the front end of the fixed module (100) and be fitted into the back of the magazine fitted into the handle (11) of the pistol (10), and can be fixed in a state of being fitted into the handle (11).
[0031] For example, as illustrated in FIGS. 2, 3, 5, and 7, a fastening projection (111) that elastically protrudes toward the rear is provided at the lower portion of the fitting (110), and when the fitting (110) is fitted into the handle (11), the fastening projection (111) can penetrate the handle (11) and protrude outward. In addition, a release button (122) that, when pressed, causes the fastening projection (111) that has been protruding outward to retract into the handle (11) may be provided at the lower portion of the front end of the fixed body (120). As another example, as illustrated in FIG. 8, a fastening hole (112) may be formed at the lower portion of the fitting (110) so as to face the rear, and when the fitting (110) is fitted into the handle (11), a fixing pin (113) that penetrates the handle (11) and is coupled to the fastening hole (112) may be provided. However, the method in which the fitting (110) is fitted and fixed inside the handle (11) is not limited to the examples described above.
[0032] In addition, a semicircular ring-shaped hanging member may be provided at the rear end of the fixed body (120) so that the present invention can be carried by using a belt that wraps around the user's waist when not in use, a belt loop on the upper part of pants into which a belt is attached, etc.
[0033] The support module (200) is connected to the fixed module (100) that is integrally connected with the pistol (10) as shown in FIGS. 2 to 7, and serves to suppress the shaking of the pistol (10) through the arm and reduce the recoil force when firing, and includes a support (210) and a support pad (220).
[0034] The support (210) is arranged to face rearward from both sides of the fixed module (100), and the rear end can be positioned on the arm portion close to the wrist. The support (210) may be formed so that the entire portion slopes upward from the lower part of the hand of the user holding the handle (11) of the pistol (10) to the upper part of the arm. However, it is preferable that at least the portion of the support (210) on which the support pad (220) is provided be arranged parallel to the arm so that the support pad (220) covers the upper part of the arm and is stably supported.
[0035] Accordingly, as an example, the support (210) may include a first support (210a) that is arranged to be inclined upwardly from the rear end of the fixed module (100) as illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 7, and a second support (210b) that is arranged horizontally from the rear end of the first support (210a) toward the rear and has a support pad (220) provided at the rear end. Specifically, the first support (210a) has a 'ㄷ' shape that is open toward the rear, and a front end that is arranged laterally is provided to penetrate the rear end of the fixed body (120) so that the upwardly inclined portion can pass through the rear end of the fixed body (120) and both sides of the user's arms, and the second support (210b) may have a structure that is formed to be extended from the first support (210a). And the support pad (220) provided at the rear end of the second support (210b) may be configured to cover the upper part of the arm close to the wrist. For example, it may be made of an elastic material such as silicone or rubber, and may be configured as a band whose length can be adjusted so as to adjust the gap between the rear ends of the second support (210b). In addition, it is preferable that the support pad (220) be made of a material having friction to prevent slipping when triggered.
[0036] The present invention, which includes the above-described fixed module (100) and support module (200), as shown in FIG. 5, is integrated with a pistol (10) through the fixed module (100) and supports the user's hand holding the handle (11) of the pistol (10) from the lower side, and the support pad (220) provided at the rear end of the support (210) connected to the fixed module (100) covers the upper side of the user's arm, thereby enabling stable aiming and increasing the accuracy and reducing the recoil force due to firing.
[0037] Meanwhile, the support module (200) may be configured to be arranged toward the rear of the fixed module (100) so as not to rotate, but may be configured to rotate forward so as to minimize the volume when carried. For example, the front end of the first support member (210a) may be positioned in a rotation groove formed by recessing from the lower end of the rear end of the fixed body (120), and a rotation hole blocking plate may be coupled to the lower side of the rotation groove so as to prevent the front end of the first support member (210a) from being detached from the rotation groove while positioned therein. Accordingly, the first support member (210a) may be rotated about the front end as an axis, and since the second support member (210b) is integral with the first support member (210a), the entire support module (200) may be rotated about the front end of the first support member (210a) as an axis.
[0038] At this time, the rotatable support module (200) must be able to be fixed in a state where the first support (210a) is arranged to be inclined upward toward the rear and the second support (210b) is arranged horizontally so that it can perform its original function. As an example for this, as shown in FIGS. 1 to 6, in a state where the first support (210a) is arranged to be inclined upward toward the rear, a part of the first support (210a) is formed to be arranged adjacent to the rear end of the fixed module (100), that is, both sides of the rear end of the fixed module (100), and on both sides of the rear end of the fixed module (100), a support wing (123) that restricts the upward movement of the first support (210a) arranged to be inclined upward toward the rear may be formed to protrude, and a first blocking piece (121a) that restricts the downward movement of the first support (210a) may be formed to protrude.
[0039] The support wing (123) is formed to protrude so as to cover the first support member (210a) arranged to be inclined upward by a predetermined length, and the first catch piece (121a) is formed to protrude convexly toward the outside, so that when a predetermined force or more is applied so that the first support member (210a) passes the first catch piece (121a) in the process of rotating the support module (200) that has been rotated forward to the rear, the portion of the first support member (210a) adjacent to both sides of the rear end of the fixed module (100) passes the first catch piece (121a) and is then fixed by the support wing (123) and the first catch piece (121a). In addition, when a predetermined force or more is applied downward to the support module (200) whose rotation is restricted by being caught by the support wing (123) and the first catch piece (121a), the support module (200) passes the first catch piece (121a).
[0040] And, in the fixed body (120), a second catch piece (121b) may be formed protrudingly so that the support module (200) is fixed at a predetermined position when the support module (200) is rotated forward for portability. As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, the second catch piece (121b) may be formed to protrude convexly outward at a point spaced forward by a predetermined distance from the first catch piece (121a), and may restrict downward movement of the first support member (210a) that is rotated forward and arranged to be inclined upward toward the front. At this time, the lower end of the support wing (123) may restrict upward movement of the first support member (210a). Accordingly, when a predetermined force or more is applied to rotate the support module (200) that has been rotated backwards for use forward so that the first support member (210a) passes the second catch piece (121b), the first support member (210a) is fixed by the support wing (123) and the second catch piece (121b), as shown in FIG. 7.
[0041] Meanwhile, the present invention including the fixed module (100) and support module (200) as described above may further include a support auxiliary module (300). The support auxiliary module (300) may be arranged to be inclined upwardly toward the front from the support (210) as illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 11, and may be configured such that the front end supports the upper portion of the handle (11). Since the front end of the support auxiliary module (300) forms a structure that additionally supports the rear end of the pistol (10), stability in aiming can be increased and the recoil force due to firing can be further reduced.
[0042] Such a support auxiliary module (300) may include, for example, an auxiliary support (310) having a rear end coupled to a support (210) and arranged to be inclined upward toward the front, as illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 11, and an auxiliary support member (320) provided at the front end of the auxiliary support member (310) and in contact with the upper portion of the handle (11). The auxiliary support member (320) may be formed to form, for example, a 'ㄷ' shape that is open toward the front, and may firmly support the upper portion of the handle (11) by wrapping around it.
[0043] And, in order to reduce the volume when carrying, the auxiliary support (310) can be rotatably connected to the support (210) at the rear end, and when the length is taken into consideration, it is preferable to connect it near the point where the first support (210a) and the second support (210b) are distinguished. For example, when the auxiliary support (310) is rotatably connected to the upper side of the rear end of the first support (210a) as illustrated in FIGS. 9 to 13, the auxiliary support (310) can be rotated parallel to the first support (210a).
[0044] In this way, the auxiliary support (310) that is rotated parallel to the support (210) can be formed as one body with the adjacent support (210) so that arbitrary rotation does not occur during carrying. For example, as illustrated in FIG. 12, a first support (210a) or an auxiliary support (310) is provided to pass through the inside, and a fixed connector (400) having an insertion groove into which the adjacent auxiliary support (310) or the first support (210a) can be inserted when the auxiliary support (310) is folded for carrying may be additionally provided. As another example, as illustrated in FIG. 13, the auxiliary support (310) can be coupled to the first support (210a) using a magnet (211, 311).
[0045] And the rotatable auxiliary support (310) can be configured so as not to rotate beyond a specific angle, which can be arranged to be inclined upwardly toward the front when rotating so as to form a predetermined angle with the support (210) while being parallel to the support (210). For example, the rear end of the auxiliary support (310) can be formed so as not to be lifted by contacting the support (210) when the auxiliary support (310) forms a specific angle, as illustrated in FIG. 11.
[0046] As described above, the present invention's shooting assistance device for a pistol uses a stock (buttstock) that is not a shoulder, so even if it is mounted on a pistol (10), it is not classified as a rifle and is not subject to rifle regulations, allowing for easy use in various shooting positions.
