Description

Display device for updating image processing algorithm and control method thereof

[0001] The present invention relates to a display device and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a display device that displays information to identify whether an image processing algorithm has been updated and a control method thereof.

[0002] Recently, various home appliances are being developed and distributed, and in particular, the development and distribution of display devices and source devices are more active than in any other field.

[0003] Recently popularized display devices can offer a variety of functions beyond simply displaying a screen. For example, they can connect to the Internet and install applications to perform various functions such as social media, web surfing, OTT access, and gaming.

[0004] As display devices offer a variety of functions, the causes of errors are becoming more diverse and complex, increasing the time required to repair the device. For example, it's difficult to reproduce the error scenario to determine the cause, and it's also difficult to identify the device's state when an error occurs.

[0005] To solve the above-described problem, there has been a demand for a method in which a device can identify whether an error has occurred and repair it on its own, and a method in which the device state at the time of an error is saved so that it can be easily reproduced later.

[0006] In order to achieve the above object, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a display device includes a communication interface, a display, and at least one processor that, when an image signal is received, acquires a screen corresponding to the image signal using an image processing algorithm, identifies a gray ratio within the screen, updates the image processing algorithm if the gray ratio is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio, re-acquires the screen corresponding to the image signal using the updated image processing algorithm, and controls the display to output the re-acquired screen, wherein the at least one processor controls the communication interface to transmit log information including status information of the display device to an external device if the gray ratio within the screen is greater than or equal to the threshold ratio.

[0007] A method for controlling a display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes, when an image signal is received, a step of obtaining a screen corresponding to the image signal using an image processing algorithm, a step of identifying a gray ratio within the screen, a step of updating the image processing algorithm if the gray ratio is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio, a step of re-obtaining a screen corresponding to the image signal using the updated image processing algorithm, and a step of outputting the re-obtained screen, and further includes a step of transmitting log information including status information of the display device to an external device if the gray ratio within the screen is greater than or equal to the threshold ratio.

[0008] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure for achieving the above-described object, a computer-readable recording medium including a program for executing a method for controlling a display device, the method for controlling the display device includes the steps of: when an image signal is received, obtaining a screen corresponding to the image signal using an image processing algorithm; identifying a gray ratio within the screen; if the gray ratio is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio, updating the image processing algorithm; re-acquiring a screen corresponding to the image signal using the updated image processing algorithm; and outputting the re-acquired screen; and further including the step of transmitting log information including status information of the display device to an external device if the gray ratio within the screen is greater than or equal to the threshold ratio.

[0027] An embodiment of the present disclosure will be described in more detail with reference to the attached drawings below.

[0028] FIG. 1 is a drawing for explaining a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0029] Referring to FIG. 1, a display device (100) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure can display content. The display device (100) can be implemented as a TV, but is not limited thereto, and is applicable to any device having a display function, such as a video wall, a large format display (LFD), a digital signage, a digital information display (DID), a projector display, etc. In addition, the display device (100) can include various types of displays, such as a liquid crystal display (LCD), an organic light-emitting diode (OLED), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS), a digital light processing (DLP), a quantum dot (QD) display panel, a quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLED), etc.

[0030] It is not limited thereto, and the display device (100) may be implemented as various types of output devices. For example, the display device (100) may be implemented as a user terminal device or an audio output device (e.g., a sound bar, a home theater system, a room speaker, headphones, earphones, etc.).

[0031] A display device (100) according to an example can receive a video signal (or content) from a source device and output the received video signal. Here, the video signal includes a video signal, an audio signal, etc., and for convenience of explanation, the following description will assume a case where the display device (100) displays a video signal received from the source device.

[0032] Source devices according to an example include a set-top box, a cloud server, an over-the-top media service (OTT) server, a streaming service (e.g., Samsung Gaming Hub), a home automation control panel, a security control panel, and a media box (e.g., Samsung HomeSync). TM , Apple TV TM , or Google TV TM ), game consoles (e.g. Xbox TM , PlayStation TM , Switch TM ), electronic dictionary, electronic key, camcorder, or electronic picture frame. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and the source device may include at least one of a TV, a user terminal device, a tablet PC, a mobile phone, a video phone, an e-book reader, a desktop PC, a laptop PC, a netbook computer, a workstation, a server, a PDA, a portable multimedia player (PMP), an MP3 player, a medical device, a camera, a virtual reality (VR) implementation device, or a wearable device. Here, the wearable device may be implemented as at least one of an accessory type (e.g., a watch, a ring, a bracelet, an anklet, a necklace, glasses, a contact lens, or a head-mounted device (HMD)), a fabric or clothing-integrated type (e.g., electronic clothing), a body-attached type (e.g., a skin pad or tattoo), or a bio-implantable circuit.

[0033] According to an example, when a display device (100) receives an image signal, it can obtain and display a screen corresponding to the image signal using an image processing algorithm.

[0034] For example, distortion may occur in the color components of the image signal due to the condition of the connection cable between the display device (100) and the source device, external noise received together with the image signal, an error in the image processing algorithm, etc. For example, if distortion occurs in the gray component of the image signal, the screen corresponding to the image signal may include a red color overall (e.g., Pinkish Screen) or a blue color overall (e.g., Greenish Screen), and the display device (100) may display a distorted screen.

[0035] For example, the display device (100) can independently analyze the screen to be displayed to identify whether distortion occurs, and if distortion occurs, update the image processing algorithm to obtain and display a screen without distortion.

[0036] In addition, in order to easily reproduce the occurrence of distortion when repairing the display device (100), log information including status information of the display device (100) at the time of occurrence of distortion can be obtained and the log information can be transmitted to an external device (e.g., a server).

[0037] FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the configuration of a display device according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0038] According to FIG. 2, the display device (100) may include a display (110), a memory (120), a communication interface (130), and one or more processors (140).

[0039] A display (110) according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may be implemented as a display in various forms, such as a liquid crystal display (LCD), an organic light-emitting diode (OLED), a liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS), a digital light processing (DLP), a quantum dot (QD) display panel, quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLED), micro light-emitting diodes (μLED), a mini LED, etc. Meanwhile, the display (110) may also be implemented as a touch screen combined with a touch sensor, a flexible display, a rollable display, a 3D display, a display in which a plurality of display modules are physically connected, etc.

[0040] A memory (120) according to an example can store data required for various embodiments of the present disclosure. Depending on the purpose of data storage, the memory (120) may be implemented as a memory embedded in the display device (100) or as a memory that can be detachably attached to the display device (100).

[0041] For example, data for driving the display device (100) may be stored in a memory embedded in the display device (100), and data for the extended functions of the display device (100) may be stored in a memory that can be attached or detached to the display device (100). Meanwhile, in the case of memory embedded in the display device (100), it may be implemented as at least one of volatile memory (e.g., dynamic RAM (DRAM), static RAM (SRAM), or synchronous dynamic RAM (SDRAM)), non-volatile memory (e.g., one time programmable ROM (OTPROM), programmable ROM (PROM), erasable and programmable ROM (EPROM), electrically erasable and programmable ROM (EEPROM), mask ROM, flash ROM, flash memory (e.g., NAND flash or NOR flash), hard drive, or solid state drive (SSD). In addition, in the case of memory that can be detachably attached to the display device (100), it may be implemented as at least one of memory cards (e.g., compact flash (CF), secure digital (SD), micro secure digital (Micro-SD), mini secure digital (Mini-SD), extreme digital (xD), multi-media card (MMC), etc.), external memory that can be connected to a USB port (e.g., USB memory), etc. It can be implemented.

[0042] For example, the memory (120) may store a computer program including at least one instruction or instructions for controlling the display device (100). In particular, the memory (120) may store an image processing algorithm for processing an image signal to obtain a screen corresponding to the image signal.

[0043] A communication interface (130) according to an example may include a wired or wireless input / output interface (or input / output terminal) according to various standards. For example, the communication interface (130) may include various interfaces such as a High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), a Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL), a Universal Serial Bus (USB), a Display Port (DP), a Thunderbolt, a Video Graphics Array (VGA) port, an RGB port, a D-subminiature (D-SUB), a Digital Visual Interface (DVI), an AP-based Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN network), Bluetooth, Zigbee, a wired / wireless Local Area Network (LAN), a Wide Area Network (WAN), Ethernet, IEEE 1394, an Audio Engineering Society / European Broadcasting Union (AES / EBU), an optical, a coaxial, etc.

[0044] In particular, the communication interface (130) can receive a video signal from a source device and transmit log information to an external device (e.g., a server) under the control of one or more processors (150).

[0045] One or more processors (140) according to an example may control the overall operation of the display device (100).

[0046] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, one or more processors (140) may be implemented as a digital signal processor (DSP), a microprocessor, or a timing controller (TCON) for processing digital signals. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and may include one or more of a central processing unit (CPU), a micro controller unit (MCU), a micro processing unit (MPU), a controller, an application processor (AP), a communication processor (CP), an ARM processor, or an artificial intelligence (AI) processor, or may be defined by the corresponding terms. In addition, the processor (140) may be implemented as a system on chip (SoC) having a built-in processing algorithm, a large scale integration (LSI), or may be implemented in the form of a field programmable gate array (FPGA). The processor (140) may perform various functions by executing computer executable instructions stored in a memory.

[0047] FIG. 3 is a drawing for explaining a normal screen and an abnormal screen according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0048] According to an example, one or more processors (140) may, when an image signal is received, acquire a screen corresponding to the image signal using an image processing algorithm. According to an example, one or more processors (140) may identify the gray scale within the screen.

[0049] For example, when an image signal is received, one or more processors (140) can analyze pixel values according to the image signal to identify the gray level (or gray tone) of the input image.

[0050] For example, one or more processors (140) can change the color temperature of the gray level, and when the color temperature of the gray level (or white balance) is changed, the color temperature of the screen corresponding to the image signal can be changed.

[0051] For example, if the gray ratio within the screen is greater than a threshold ratio, one or more processors (140) may identify the screen as an abnormal screen rather than a normal screen corresponding to the video signal.

[0052] For example, one or more processors (140) can capture a screen corresponding to a video signal to obtain a captured image, and identify whether the gray ratio within the captured image is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio. For example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether the gray ratio within the captured image is greater than or equal to 18% (or 20%). It should be understood that specific numbers are examples for convenience of explanation and are not limited thereto.

[0053] For example, if the gray ratio within the captured image is greater than or equal to a critical ratio, the captured image may contain a red color (or purple color) or a blue color (or blue color) overall. For example, if the color temperature of the captured image is less than 3000K, the captured image appears reddish overall, and if the color temperature is greater than or equal to 7000K, the captured image appears bluish overall.

[0054] For example, if an image processing algorithm incorrectly recognizes the color space of pixel values according to an image signal, the gray ratio within the screen corresponding to the image signal acquired by one or more processors (140) using the image processing algorithm may be greater than a threshold ratio (e.g., 18%). In one example, one or more processors (140) may identify the screen as an abnormal screen rather than a normal screen corresponding to the image signal.

[0055] A detailed explanation of this will be provided with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.

[0056] FIG. 4 is a diagram for explaining a gray ratio according to an image processing algorithm according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0057] Referring to FIG. 4, for example, a color space is a space for expressing color, and may include various methods such as RGB, CMYK, HSV, CIE, YUV (e.g., YCbCr).

[0058] For example, an image processing algorithm can recognize the color space of an image signal as RGB and obtain a screen corresponding to an image signal including an RGB signal.

[0059] For example, if the image signal includes an RGB signal, the screen obtained by converting the color format of the image signal into an RGB signal using an image processing algorithm by one or more processors (140) may be a normal screen.

[0060] As shown in the upper graph of Fig. 4, the image signal includes a plurality of image frames, and if the image processing algorithm properly recognizes the color space of the image signal, the gray ratio of each of the plurality of image frames included in the image signal may be less than a critical ratio.

[0061] As another example, an image processing algorithm can recognize the color space of an image signal as YCbCr and obtain a screen corresponding to an image signal including a YCbCr signal.

[0062] For example, if the image signal includes an RGB signal, the screen obtained by converting the color format of the image signal into a YCbCr signal using an image processing algorithm by one or more processors (140) may be an abnormal screen. As shown in the lower graph of Fig. 4, if the image processing algorithm does not properly recognize the color space of the image signal, the gray ratio of each of the plurality of image frames may be greater than a critical ratio.

[0063] For example, one or more processors (140) may update an image processing algorithm when a threshold number of image frames having a gray ratio greater than or equal to a threshold ratio are identified among a plurality of image frames included in an image signal.

[0064] For example, one or more processors (140) may update an image processing algorithm when 500 or more image frames having a gray ratio of 19% or more are identified among a plurality of image frames included in an image signal.

[0065] For example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether to update based on version information of the image processing algorithm. For example, one or more processors (140) can transmit version information of the image processing algorithm to an external device (e.g., a server), and if an image processing algorithm corresponding to a newer version information than the version information transmitted by the display device (100) through the external device is identified, the image processing algorithm corresponding to the newer version information can be received and updated.

[0066] For example, the updated image processing algorithm may recognize the color space of the image signal as RGB and obtain a screen corresponding to the image signal including the RGB signal. For example, one or more processors (140) may convert the color format of the image signal into an RGB signal using the updated image processing algorithm to re-obtain a screen corresponding to the image signal, and the re-obtained screen may be a normal screen (e.g., a screen with a gray ratio below a critical ratio).

[0067] FIG. 5 is a diagram for explaining a gray ratio according to an image processing algorithm according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0068] For example, an image processing algorithm may recognize the color space of an image signal as YCbCr and obtain a screen corresponding to an image signal including a YCbCr signal. For example, if the image signal includes a YCbCr signal, one or more processors (140) may use an image processing algorithm to convert the color format of the image signal into a YCbCr signal, and the obtained screen may be a normal screen.

[0069] As shown in the upper graph of Fig. 5, the image signal includes a plurality of image frames, and if the image processing algorithm properly recognizes the color space of the image signal, the gray ratio of each of the plurality of image frames included in the image signal may be less than a critical ratio.

[0070] As another example, an image processing algorithm may recognize the color space of an image signal as RGB and obtain a screen corresponding to an image signal including an RGB signal. For example, if the image signal includes a YCbCr signal, the screen obtained by converting the color format of the image signal into an RGB signal using one or more processors (140) using an image processing algorithm may be an abnormal screen. As illustrated in the lower graph of Fig. 5, if the image processing algorithm does not properly recognize the color space of the image signal, the gray ratio of each of the plurality of image frames may be greater than a critical ratio.

[0071] For example, one or more processors (140) may update an image processing algorithm when a threshold number of image frames having a gray ratio greater than or equal to a threshold ratio are identified among a plurality of image frames included in an image signal.

[0072] For example, the updated image processing algorithm may recognize the color space of the image signal as YCbCr and obtain a screen corresponding to the image signal including the YCbCr signal. For example, one or more processors (140) may convert the color format of the image signal into a YCbCr signal using the updated image processing algorithm to re-obtain a screen corresponding to the image signal, and the re-obtained screen may be a normal screen (e.g., a screen having a gray ratio below a critical ratio).

[0073] In one example, one or more processors (140) may re-acquire a screen with at least one of color balance, brightness, contrast, or white balance adjusted using an updated image processing algorithm.

[0074] In the above example, for convenience of explanation, it is assumed that one or more processors (140) identify whether the gray ratio is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio and update the image processing algorithm if the gray ratio is greater than or equal to the threshold ratio, but of course, the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0075] For example, one or more processors (140) may update an image processing algorithm if the brightness (or contrast, white balance (or color temperature), etc.) of the screen is below a threshold brightness (or reference brightness) or above a threshold brightness.

[0076] FIG. 6 is a flowchart illustrating a control method of a display device for updating an image processing algorithm according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0077] Referring to FIG. 6, one or more processors (140) according to an example capture a screen corresponding to a video signal at a preset time interval (or in real time) to obtain a capture image (S610).

[0078] One or more processors (140) identify whether to update based on version information of the image processing algorithm (S630) if the gray ratio in the captured image is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio (S620: Y).

[0079] For example, if one or more processors (140) identify relatively newer version information than version information through an external device (S630: N), they can update the image processing algorithm according to the newer version information (S640).

[0080] One or more processors (140) can re-acquire a screen with a gray ratio adjusted below a threshold ratio (S650) using an updated image processing algorithm (S640: Y).

[0081] According to an example, one or more processors (140) may obtain log information including the number of times a screen corresponding to a gray ratio greater than or equal to a threshold ratio is identified (S660), and transmit the log information to an external device (S670).

[0082] For example, the number of identifications included in the log information may mean the number of times an abnormal screen was identified (or the number of times a bad screen occurred).

[0083] For example, at step S660, one or more processors (140) may transmit log information including status information of the display device (140) to an external device if the gray ratio within the screen is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio.

[0084] Status information according to an example may include at least one of an image signal, version information of an image processing algorithm, or an image output-related setting value of a display device (100).

[0085] For example, the image output-related setting values of the display device (100) may include setting values corresponding to each of Hue, Saturation, and Lightness, and setting values corresponding to each of Brightness, Contrast, White Balance, Luminance, and Gamma. However, this is merely an example and the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the image output-related setting values may include a refresh rate, an operation mode (e.g., game mode, cinema mode, etc.), HDR ON / OFF, a communication format for receiving an image signal (e.g., HDMI, DP, etc.), and the like.

[0086] For example, based on status information including image output-related setting values, it is possible to easily reproduce a situation in which the display device (100) obtains an abnormal screen (or a situation in which distortion occurs), and when repairing the display device (100), it is possible to reproduce a situation in which a defective screen is output, thereby easily identifying the cause of the defect.

[0087] In addition, a database (DB) for situations in which the display device (100) obtains an abnormal screen can be obtained using status information including image output-related setting values, and an image processing algorithm can be improved based on the obtained database (DB).

[0088] FIG. 7 is a drawing for explaining a display device that outputs sound according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0089] A display device (100) according to an example of the present disclosure may further include a speaker and a microphone.

[0090] A speaker according to an example can output a sound corresponding to an audio signal. The speaker can include at least one speaker unit (or audio amplifier).

[0091] For example, the speaker may be implemented as at least one full range speaker designed to output almost the entire range of audible frequencies.

[0092] For example, a speaker may include multiple speakers for multi-channel playback. For example, the speaker may include multiple speakers, each responsible for a channel that is mixed and output. In some cases, the speaker responsible for at least one channel may be implemented as a speaker array, including multiple speaker units for reproducing different frequency bands.

[0093] According to an example, one or more processors (140) can control a speaker to output a sound corresponding to an audio signal when an audio signal is included in a video signal.

[0094] A microphone according to an example is configured to receive sound output by a display device (100) and convert it into an electrical signal. For example, the microphone may be provided on a lower side or the like of the display device (100). The microphone according to an example may receive sound output by the display device (100) and transmit it to one or more processors (150).

[0095] However, this is an example for the convenience of explanation, and the remote control device (200) that transmits a control signal to the display device (100) may include a microphone, and the microphone provided in the remote control device (200) may receive sound output by the display device (100) and convert it into an electrical signal. According to one example, the remote control device (200) may receive sound through the microphone provided in the remote control device (200) and transmit it to the display device (100).

[0096] In one example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether sound is received through a microphone.

[0097] For example, if the sound output from the speaker is received through the microphone, one or more processors (140) may identify that the sound corresponding to the audio signal is being output normally. In another example, if the sound output from the speaker is not received through the microphone, one or more processors (140) may identify that the sound corresponding to the audio signal is not being output normally.

[0098] FIG. 8 is a flowchart for explaining a control method of a display device for adjusting the gain of a speaker according to one embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0099] Referring to FIG. 8, one or more processors (140) can identify whether an audio signal is included in a video signal (S810).

[0100] For example, when an audio signal is identified (S810: Y), one or more processors (140) may receive a loopback signal according to the output of sound through a speaker.

[0101] A loopback signal according to an example may be a signal that occurs when one or more processors (140) transmit an audio signal to a speaker and the speaker receives an audio signal from one or more processors (140).

[0102] In one example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether the speaker is operating normally based on the loopback signal.

[0103] For example, one or more processors (140) can identify a sound level value based on a loopback signal (S820). For example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether a loopback signal generated by transmitting an audio signal and receiving an audio signal from a speaker includes a dB (decibel) value of the sound.

[0104] For example, one or more processors (140) may identify abnormal operation of the speaker or a state in which sound is not output if a sound size value (e.g., dB value) is not identified based on a loopback signal (S820: N).

[0105] For example, if the sound volume value is not identified based on the loopback signal (S820: N), one or more processors (140) may adjust the gain value of the speaker (S830). For example, one or more processors (140) may adjust the gain value of the speaker's amplifier (audio amplifier). For example, one or more processors (140) may increase the gain value to increase the volume of the sound output from the speaker.

[0106] For example, one or more processors (140) can identify whether sound is received through a microphone (S840) when a sound size value is identified based on a loopback signal (S820: Y).

[0107] For example, one or more processors (140) may adjust the gain value of a speaker (S850) if no sound is received through the microphone (S840: N). For example, one or more processors (140) may adjust the gain value of an IC chip within an audio amplifier of the speaker.

[0108] According to an example, one or more processors (140) may obtain log information including the number of times sound is output that is not received through a microphone (S860) and transmit the log information to an external device (S870).

[0109] For example, the number of identifications included in the log information may mean the number of times the speaker is operating abnormally or the number of times sound is not output (or the number of times bad sound is output).

[0110] For example, at step S860, if no sound corresponding to an audio signal is received through the microphone, one or more processors (140) may transmit log information including status information of the display device (140) to an external device.

[0111] Status information according to an example may include at least one of an audio signal, a gain value of a speaker, or a sound output-related setting value of a display device (100).

[0112] For example, the sound output related setting values of the display device (100) may include setting values corresponding to the volume, left / right channel balance, strength of the reverb effector, and equalizer corresponding to the user's settings. However, this is merely an example and the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the sound output related setting values may include channel information (e.g., 2.1 channels, 5.1 channels), operation mode (e.g., classic mode, rock concert mode, etc.), communication format for receiving audio signals (e.g., HDMI, USB-C, Bluetooth, etc.), etc.

[0113] For example, based on status information including sound output-related setting values, the display device (100) can easily reproduce a situation in which the speaker operates abnormally (or a situation in which distortion occurs, a situation in which sound is not output), and when repairing the display device (100), it is possible to easily identify the cause of the defect by reproducing a situation in which the speaker operates abnormally.

[0114] In addition, by using status information including sound output related setting values, a database (DB) for situations in which the display device (100) does not output sound can be obtained, and based on the obtained database (DB), the gain value of the speaker can be appropriately adjusted, or the sound output related setting values can be appropriately adjusted.

[0115] FIG. 9 is a flowchart for explaining a method for controlling a display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure.

[0118] If the gray ratio is greater than or equal to the threshold ratio, the image processing algorithm is updated (S930).

[0119] The screen corresponding to the video signal is re-acquired using the updated image processing algorithm (S940).

[0120] Output the re-acquired screen (S950).

[0121] A control method according to an example further includes a step of transmitting log information including status information of a display device to an external device when the gray ratio within the screen is greater than or equal to a threshold ratio (S960).

[0123] In one example, the re-acquiring step S940 may include a step of re-acquiring a screen in which at least one of color balance, brightness, contrast, or white balance is adjusted using an updated image processing algorithm.

[0125] According to an example, the step S910 of acquiring may include a step of converting the color format of the image signal into an RGB signal using an image processing algorithm to acquire a screen corresponding to the image signal, and the step S940 of re-acquiring may include a step of converting the color format of the image signal into a YCbCr signal using an updated image processing algorithm to re-acquire a screen corresponding to the image signal.

[0126] According to an example, the step S910 of acquiring may include a step of converting the color format of the image signal into a YCbCr signal using an image processing algorithm to acquire a screen corresponding to the image signal, and the step S940 of re-acquiring may include a step of converting the color format of the image signal into an RGB signal using an updated image processing algorithm to re-acquire a screen corresponding to the image signal.

[0127] A control method according to an example may further include a step of outputting a sound corresponding to the audio signal through a speaker included in the display device, if the video signal includes an audio signal, and a step of identifying whether sound is received through a microphone included in the display device.

[0128] A control method according to an example may further include a step of adjusting a gain value of a speaker when sound is not received through a microphone, and a step of re-outputting a sound corresponding to an audio signal through a microphone with an adjusted gain value.

[0129] A control method according to an example may further include a step of receiving a loopback signal according to the output of sound through a speaker, and a step of adjusting a gain value of the speaker if a size value of the sound is not identified based on the loopback signal.

[0130] A control method according to an example further includes a step of transmitting log information including status information of a display device to an external device when sound is not received through a microphone, wherein the log information includes a number of times sound not received through the microphone is output, and the status information may include at least one of an audio signal, a gain value of a speaker, or a setting value related to sound output of the display device.
