The electronic device (101) may process the result as is or additionally and provide it as at least a portion of a response to the request. For this purpose, cloud computing, distributed computing, mobile edge computing (MEC), or client-server computing technology may be used, for example. The electronic device (101) may provide an ultra-low latency service by using distributed computing or mobile edge computing, for example. In one embodiment, the external electronic device (104) may include an Internet of Things (IoT) device. The server (108) may be an intelligent server utilizing machine learning and / or a neural network. According to one embodiment, the external electronic device (104) or the server (108) may be included in the second network (199).The electronic device (101) can be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart city, smart car, or healthcare) based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology.

[0062] FIG. 2 is a diagram of an electronic device and a wearable device according to one embodiment.

[0063] With reference to the embodiments of FIG. 2 and embodiments of various drawings described below, an operation of identifying one wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) among a plurality of wearable devices (210, 220, 230, 240, 250) using an electronic device (101) can be understood. For example, the wearable device (e.g., 210, 220, 230, 240, 250) of the present disclosure may be a smart ring (e.g., an electronic device worn on a user's finger), but those skilled in the art will appreciate that the embodiments of the present disclosure may be applied to wearable devices other than a smart ring (e.g., a smart watch, an activity tracker, smart glasses, a smart bracelet, smart shoes, a smart necklace, smart clothing, or a smart headband). Accordingly, the smart ring is merely an example, and the embodiments below may be applied to other wearable devices that include at least some of the configurations of the smart ring described in the embodiments below.

[0064] According to one embodiment, when an electronic device (101) and a plurality of wearable devices (210, 220, 230, 240, 250) are located in one space, the electronic device (101) may identify one wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) among the plurality of wearable devices (210, 220, 230, 240, 250). "Located in one space" may mean located in one physical space or located at an adjacent distance where the strength of a wireless signal (e.g., RSSI (received signal strength indicator)) is above a certain level. For example, the electronic device (101) may identify a first wearable device (210) registered with the electronic device (101) among the plurality of wearable devices (210, 220, 230, 240, 250). The electronic device (101) may, based on the confirmation of the first wearable device (210) registered to the electronic device (101), display a screen (e.g., 200 of FIG. 2, 830 of FIG. 8A, or 880 of FIG. 8B) indicating that the registered device has been confirmed through the display module (160). For example, the electronic device (101) may confirm, among a plurality of wearable devices (210, 220, 230, 240, 250), a second wearable device (220) that is not registered to the electronic device (101). The electronic device (101) may, based on the identification of a second wearable device (220) that is not registered to the electronic device (101), display a screen (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A or 890 of FIG. 8B) indicating that an unregistered device has been identified through the display module (160).

[0065] According to one embodiment, when the electronic device (101) and the first wearable device (210) are located in the same space, the electronic device (101) can identify the first wearable device (210). For example, the electronic device (101) can identify whether the first wearable device (210) is a device registered to the electronic device (101) or an unregistered device. Based on identifying the first wearable device (210), the electronic device (101) can display a screen indicating that a registered device has been identified (e.g., 200 of FIG. 2, 830 of FIG. 8A, or 880 of FIG. 8B), or a screen indicating that an unregistered device has been identified (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A or 890 of FIG. 8B) through the display module (160).

[0066] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) can check identification information of a wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220). The “identification information” may be, for example, unique information (e.g., BT (Bluetooth) name or BT address) corresponding to the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220), and there is no limitation on the type of identification information. The electronic device (101) can store the identification information of the first wearable device (210) in the memory (130). A device whose identification information is stored in the memory (130) may be referred to as a registered device. The electronic device (101) can check whether the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) is a registered device or an unregistered device by comparing the identification information registered in the electronic device (101) with the identification information received from the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220). For example, the electronic device (101) may receive identification information from a wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) after storing identification information of the first wearable device (210) in the memory (130). For example, as described below, the electronic device (101) may receive identification information of the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) based on tapping of the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) on the electronic device (101). Tapping may be when two devices come within a certain distance or when two devices collide (or touch). The electronic device (101) can determine whether the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) is a registered device or an unregistered device by comparing the identification information received from the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) with the identification information stored in the memory (130). Based on the determination of the first wearable device (210), the electronic device (101) can display a screen (e.g., 200 of FIG. 2, 830 of FIG. 8A, or 880 of FIG. 8B) indicating that the registered device has been determined through the display module (160).The electronic device (101) may display a screen (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A or 890 of FIG. 8B) indicating that an unregistered device has been identified through the display module (160) based on the identification of the second wearable device (220).

[0067] An embodiment in which the electronic device (101) utilizes custom information of a wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) is possible. An embodiment in which the electronic device (101) does not utilize custom information of a wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) is also possible. In the embodiments below, the embodiments in which custom information is utilized and the embodiments in which custom information is not utilized may differ only in the presence or absence of the use of custom information, and the remaining operations may be the same or similar.

[0068] According to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) can check custom information of a wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220). The "custom information" may be, for example, information defined by a user in correspondence with the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) (e.g., an alias, image information, or non-fungible token (NFT) related information), and there is no limitation on the type of custom information. The user can distinguish his or her wearable device from other wearable devices by specifying custom information corresponding to his or her wearable device. For example, the electronic device (101) can display a screen indicating that a registered device has been identified (e.g., 830 of FIG. 8A ) or a screen indicating that an unregistered device has been identified (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A ) through the display module (160) based on identifying the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) by comparing identification information. At this time, the screen indicating that a registered device has been confirmed (e.g., 830 of FIG. 8A) or the screen indicating that an unregistered device has been confirmed (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A) may include an object corresponding to the custom information acquired by the electronic device (101). The user can know whose wearable device has been confirmed by the electronic device (101) based on the object corresponding to the custom information included in the screen of the electronic device (101). For example, if the screen indicating that a registered device has been confirmed (e.g., 830 of FIG. 8A) includes an object corresponding to the custom information, the user can know that his or her wearable device has been confirmed by the electronic device (101) based on the fact that the displayed object corresponds to the custom information specified by the user. For example, if a screen indicating that a registered device has been confirmed (e.g., 830 of FIG. 8A) includes an object corresponding to custom information, the user can know that another person's wearable device registered to the electronic device (101) has been confirmed by the electronic device (101) based on the fact that the displayed object does not correspond to the custom information specified by the user. For example, if a screen indicating that an unregistered device has been confirmed (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A) includes an object corresponding to custom information, the user can know that his or her wearable device has not been registered to the electronic device (101) based on the fact that the displayed object corresponds to the custom information specified by the user. For example, if a screen indicating that an unregistered device has been confirmed (e.g., 840 of FIG. 8A) includes an object corresponding to custom information, the user can know that another person's wearable device not registered to the electronic device (101) has been confirmed by the electronic device (101) based on the fact that the displayed object does not correspond to the custom information specified by the user.

[0069] In one embodiment, the electronic device (101) may not check the custom information of the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220). If the electronic device (101) does not check the custom information of the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220), the screen indicating that a registered device has been checked (e.g., 880 of FIG. 8B) or the screen indicating that an unregistered device has been checked (e.g., 890 of FIG. 8B) may not include an object corresponding to the custom information.

For example, the electronic device (101) may be connected to the first wearable device (210) through the first communication module (301) (e.g., a communication module supporting BLE communication). The electronic device (101) may obtain identification information (e.g., BT name or BT address) of the first wearable device (210) based on a signal (e.g., BLE advertisement signal) received from the first wearable device (210) through the first communication module (301) for connection with the first wearable device (210). The electronic device (101) can obtain identification information (e.g., BT name or BT address) of the first wearable device (210) based on a signal (e.g., BLE packet signal) received from the first wearable device (210) through the first communication module (301) after being connected to the first wearable device (210). The electronic device (101) can store the obtained identification information (e.g., BT name or BT address) of the first wearable device (210) in the memory (130).

[0095] In operation 503, according to one embodiment, the electronic device (101) (e.g., the controller (303)) may check the custom information of the first wearable device (210). The custom information may include an alias, image information, or NFT-related information. The alias may be a nickname of the wearable device (e.g., 210 or 220) defined by the user. The image information may be the image itself or an address corresponding to the image. The NFT-related information may be information on the chain in which the NFT was issued and / or a token number. The operation of checking the custom information will be described later with reference to FIGS. 6A, 6B, and 6C.
