Description

"Input sensing device for an agricultural machine" FIELD OF INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a sensor for monitoring the flow of inputs, such as fertilizers, seeds, fine grains, solid particulate matter, granules and others, used in agricultural machinery and implements; more specifically, it relates to sensors for monitoring the flow of inputs applied in fertilizer, seed and other agricultural input distributors of particulate matter. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0002] Technological applications are increasingly used in the agricultural sector with the aim of optimizing the use of inputs in cultivated fields. Consequently, planting processes become more efficient, so that any waste or application failures are minimized and the planting results bring greater yields and more profitability to farmers.

[0003] In the cultivation of large areas, agricultural implements called particulate matter spreaders are generally used. These implements are conventionally self-propelled, but can optionally be towed by tractors, and have a material storage tank coupled to a dosing system. This system controls the application of inputs, which are transported through a plurality of pipes to the final distribution system, ensuring the correct application of the product to the soil.

[0004] Typically, this distribution system features a deflector element, positioned near the pipe outlets, which, thanks to the air pressure that carries the product through the system, directs the material to the ground and creates a fan-like spread of the product to adequately cover it.

[0005] Other designs for these solid particulate matter distributors are possible, for example with other elements that direct the material to contact with the ground instead of the fan-like shape created by the deflector plate. In some designs, even sections of the pipes can act as the deflector element that guides the material to the ground.

[0006] These machines feature many peripherals that assist in the dosing of inputs, such as flow sensors, for monitoring the application during operation.

[0007] One of the drawbacks of these flow sensors is that they send data to the operator interfaces, such as monitors or onboard computers, via wires routed throughout the agricultural equipment.

[0008] Frequent exposure to sun, rain, fertilizers, diesel oil, and similar substances causes corrosion or verdigris in the connectors and wears down the construction material of the cables, leading to problems in the transmission of information from the sensors to the adopted human-machine interface.

[0009] A fault in these wires could, for example, make it impossible to alert the operator in cases of airflow failure, blockages, and lack of supplies in the reservoirs.

[0010] However, one drawback is that wired flow sensors are difficult to install, requiring a significant amount of the farmer's time, especially on large implements with many planting rows.

[0011] Furthermore, since they are mostly used for applying agricultural fertilizers, which are corrosive and abrasive materials, these distributors are commonly constructed of steel and stainless steel. This makes it difficult to install sensors that need to be in series with the material flow, as it would be necessary to cut the steel pipes for their correct assembly.

[0012] Sensors can also be installed on the deflector plate to minimize this difficulty, however other issues arise in this case: obviously, the installation of sensors on this element should not alter the formation of the spray pattern. Furthermore, the strong air pressure mixed with the product being applied would quickly wear out any fastening elements exposed to its action.

[0013] It is worth noting that, just like the installation, the maintenance of flow sensors applied to this deflector element also becomes difficult. A practical example of this inconvenience is the fact that the input deflector plate can be damaged during machine use, by impacts against obstacles during operation or even against the ground due to machine movement and terrain characteristics. These impacts can also cause damage to the sensor installed there, regardless of whether damage occurs to the deflector plate itself.

[0014] Therefore, it may be necessary to replace the deflector element, the sensor, or both. In the first case, transferring the sensor from the damaged plate to a new one can be problematic and generate unwanted costs depending on the solution adopted.

[0015] Similarly, removing the damaged sensor and replacing it with a new one can be difficult if the sheet metal remains in working condition after an impact, but the sensor does not.

[0016] In the state of the art, technologies are known that use acoustic sensors to identify and control the quantity of seeds deposited in the soil through some type of deflector plate, such as document US1 1054292B2. Document US1 1054292B2 presents a solution to the problem of identifying blockage and / or unregulated distribution between the planting rows of a seeder.

[0017] One of the drawbacks of the system described in document US1 1054292B2 lies in the fact that the acoustic sensor not only The system involves laying wires all the way to the communication center, and the consequences of this system model have already been mentioned, but also how it is composed of a wide variety and quantity of specific materials to withstand adverse environmental conditions, causing an increase in the production cost of the final product.

[0018] Furthermore, the document also fails to provide information on how to maintain the product if it is partially damaged (for example, only the acoustic chamber). Therefore, the operator must detach the sensor from the agricultural implement and replace the entire unit, resulting in unnecessary losses for the farmer, such as financial losses, lost operating time, and other resource issues already mentioned in previous paragraphs.

[0019] In another document, patent US9474208B2 refers to a system for detecting the amount of grain lost from a combine harvester during the harvesting process. In this system, an acoustic sensor is positioned near the sieves that separate residues (such as straw and chaff) from the seeds, more precisely at the rear opening of the combine harvester intended for the discharge of these residues. The acoustic sensor has an internal acoustic chamber, an impact plate, and an electronic module containing a transducer and a signal processor. The transducer is able to detect the resonant sound waves generated by the impact of the grains on the outer surface of the impact plate, which are then converted into data proportional to the volume of grains that collided with the impact plate. The signal processor then determines the amount of grain lost.

[0020] Furthermore, a second sensor can be used to determine the amount of grain harvested during the harvesting operation and its yield. In this case, the yield sensor is positioned on the combine harvester, more specifically in the grain inlet path of the machine so that... The grains collide with the yield sensor's impact plate before being deflected into the grain storage tank.

[0021] Although seemingly functional, patent US9474208B2 describes that the propagation of the sound wave to the electronic module caused by the impact of the grains on the sensor's impact plate depends exclusively on the sensor housing design, with the sensor's geometry being one of the crucial points for its optimal operation. If the housing structure is damaged and not promptly diagnosed by the farmer, the device will generate a series of signals that do not correspond to the amount of grain that hit the impact plate, potentially causing economic losses to the farmer regarding their estimated profit planning in relation to the identified volume of harvested grains.

[0022] Patent document US8950260B2 discloses a system for monitoring and measuring the flow of inputs in a pneumatic system in which acoustic sensors are installed in the input passage ducts so that all inputs reach the detection medium, such that the mechanical energy of the collisions of the inputs against the deflector plate is transformed into sound waves, which in turn are directed by an acoustic chamber to a processing unit.

[0023] Document US8950260B2 presents a solution to the problem of piezoelectric sensors having a limited material identification area compared to the total volume of material that does not reach the sensor. This is because piezoelectric sensors need to be installed precisely in the path of the material flow to have direct contact with the materials and to generate maximum deflection.

[0024] One of the main drawbacks presented by document US8950260B2 is the fact that the revealed acoustic sensor is an invasive sensor that alters the conventional flow path of inputs from the seed box to the soil; in other words, it is necessary to modify the structure of the seeder. To install the flow sensor. Especially in machines that have stainless steel tubes for transporting materials, such as airboom or airfloater type machines.

[0025] More specifically, installing the acoustic sensor from document US8950260B2 on this type of machinery requires cutting the stainless steel tube, which is a major inconvenience for the farmer, as it demands specialized labor and is consequently a costly process, making installation unfeasible. Furthermore, if the farmer makes these modifications and decides to use a new sensor that can be applied to a different location on the machine, the modified elements will need to be replaced.

[0026] Making alterations to the structure of a seeder brings a series of inconveniences for the farmer, such as requiring specialized labor to remove and / or add parts for the correct functioning of the resulting product; the modification may impact the performance / functioning of other products installed on the seeder; and there is also the difficulty in reverting the seeder's assembly to its original components (when possible) if the product does not meet the farmer's needs or if new products with more advanced technologies are revealed on the market.

[0027] Furthermore, document US8950260B2 indicates the installation of a housing for an acoustic plate that intercepts the secondary input distribution pipes. Although it does not suggest how to perform the installation, it is known that, being an invasive system, it requires altering the agricultural implement and, in this case, cutting the secondary input distribution pipes for such installation.

[0028] Like document US1 1054292B2, document US8950260B2 also presents drawbacks related to the fact that the acoustic sensor requires wires connecting it to the communication center. These wires / cables are a major inconvenience in a product. especially in machinery that has multiple planting rows, as this increases the product's cost, complicates installation and maintenance, and other examples already mentioned previously.

[0029] According to document US8950260B2, the selection of materials for an acoustic sensor project is of paramount importance. It is necessary to pay attention to various characteristics such as material thickness and density, design and geometry, rigidity, noise filtering, among other vital features for the sensor's development. With so much specific information and technical characteristics, considering the large number of different materials required for the sensor's performance, its construction becomes complex and consequently increases the product's cost.

[0030] As explained, the sensor disclosed in document US8950260B2 presents a means of monitoring the flow dosage of a seeder without the use of piezoelectric sensors; however, it fails to present a concise and complete solution when viewed from the perspective of a low-cost and easy-to-maintain product for the farmer.

[0031] Although seemingly functional, the sensing system disclosed in document US8950260B2 presents installation and maintenance drawbacks related to its construction complexity and the amount of material required for proper operation.

[0032] Therefore, there is no non-invasive input flow sensor in the state of the art that does not use wires, cables or hoses and that is easy to install / maintain on agricultural machinery. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0072] The invention is now described with regard to its particular embodiments, with reference to the accompanying figures. In the figures and description that follow, equal or corresponding parts are marked with the same reference numbers.

[0073] The figures are schematic and their dimensions and proportions are illustrative, as they are intended only to describe the invention in a way that facilitates understanding and do not impose any limitations beyond those defined by the appended claims.

[0074] It should be recognized that the different teachings of the achievements discussed below can be employed separately or in any suitable combination to produce the same technical effects.

[0075] The present invention relates to a solid particulate matter sensing device 1 for an agricultural input distribution machine that uses wireless communication to transmit information along with a support structure 4 and a resonant housing 20.

[0076] Figures 1A and 1B illustrate a solid particulate material sensing device 1 equipped with a housing 20, a support structure 4, a deflector element 2 and an outlet tube 3 of an agricultural input distribution machine, according to an embodiment of the invention. The solid particulate materials may be one of chemical fertilizers, seeds, fine grains, granules, etc.

[0077] The input distribution machine has a tank for storing material and, when in operation, does not come into contact with the ground; that is, the inputs are not deposited directly inside a furrow.

[0078] The deflector element 2 is an element where the inputs from the outlet pipe 3 of an agricultural input distribution machine collide in order to be spread during the planting operation. Normally, the deflector element 2 is a metal plate located adjacent to the outlet pipe 3. However, the deflector element 2 can still vary depending on the manufacturer, for example, being a leather element.

[0079] Figures 2A to 3B illustrate an external view of one embodiment of the invention of the sensing device 1 represented by the connection and housing of the support structure 4 and housing 20 composed of the housing base 22 and housing cover 23.

[0080] Figures 2A to 3B further illustrate an opening for signal indicator 26, fastening means 10 of the support structure 4, a fastening area 9 and a locking means 13.

[0081] The solid particulate matter sensing device 1 comprises a support structure 4 with a resonant medium 5, a housing 20 having an outer resonant wall 21, and a wireless flow sensor having a transducer element 40 connected to an electronic board 41.

[0082] When in operation, the sensing device 1 is installed on an agricultural input distribution machine via the support structure 4 where there is a fitting element for the housing 20 of the flow sensor which, in turn, quantifies the inputs that are transported by air pressure from the seed box and directed to the soil.

[0083] More specifically, the sensing device 1 is installed on a deflector element 2 near the outlet pipe 3 of an agricultural input distribution machine through the support structure 4.

[0084] Figures 4A and 4B illustrate an exploded view of the sensing device 1 in an embodiment of the invention having a support structure comprising a resonant medium 5, a protrusion 6, a means for fixing the support structure 10, a sliding fitting 14 and a locking means 13; a housing 20 containing a housing base 20 comprising sealing elements 25, a sliding fitting 14, housing fixing means 29, a fixing region 24 and a piezoelectric type transducer 40, and a housing cover 23 comprising an opening for a signal indicator 26; and a flow sensor 42 comprising an electronic board 41, a power source 44 and a status indicator 47.

[0085] Figures 5A to 9B illustrate a support structure 4 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 according to an embodiment of the invention, having a sequence of features that will be described in the following paragraphs.

[0086] The support structure 4 comprises a front wall of the support structure 7, a rear wall of the support structure 8, a resonant means 5, a fixing means of the support structure 10, a fixing area 9 of the fixing means of the support structure 10, a locking means 13, a sliding fitting 14 and an anti-bubble opening 15.

[0087] During the installation process of the solid particulate matter sensing device, the support structure 4 plays an important role in securing the housing 20 of the flow sensor 42 to a deflector element 2 of agricultural machinery, wherein the rear wall of the support structure 8 is defined as the surface of the support structure 4 that is in contact with the deflector element 2 of agricultural machinery and the wall The front of support 7 is defined as the face of the support structure 4 that is in contact with the housing 20.

[0088] Figures 5A to 6B illustrate a rear wall of the support structure 8 of the support structure 4 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 equipped with a means of fixing the support structure, a fixing area 9 and a locking means 13.

[0089] The means of fastening the support structure is used to fix the support structure 4 to the deflector element 2, keeping the support structure 4 fixed and stable in the face of numerous adverse conditions encountered during planting.

[0090] In one embodiment of the invention, the means of fastening the support structure comprises a fastening area 9 and / or an opening that may use screws, clamps, latches, magnets, clamps, glue or adhesive tapes for fastening to the deflector element 2.

[0091] The fixing area 9 located on the rear wall of the support structure 8 is defined by an area intended for fixing the support structure 4 to the deflector element 2 by any means of fixing the support structure 10.

[0092] In one embodiment of the invention, the fixing area 9 has a recess of sufficient depth to ensure that the thickness of the chosen material does not interfere with the installation and / or operation of the sensing device 1. More specifically, the recess serves to prevent the addition of new materials between the deflector element 2 and the support structure 4, as the thickness of the material used would cause a separation between the parts, reducing the contact area and impairing the stability of the installation and operation of the sensing device 1, as is the case with adhesive tapes.

[0093] Therefore, in a preferred embodiment, the means of fastening the support structure 10 is defined by an adhesive tape installed in the fastening area 9 for attachment to the deflector element 2.

[0094] In a more preferred embodiment, the means of fixing the support structure 10 is defined by an adhesive tape installed in the recessed fixing area 9 for fixing to the deflector element 2.

[0095] In another embodiment of the invention, the means of fastening the support structure 10 is defined by any other means previously mentioned and installed in the recessed fastening area 9 for attachment to the deflector element 2.

[0096] Figures 7A to 8B illustrate a front wall of the support structure 7 of the support structure 4 of a solid particulate material sensing device 1 equipped with a support structure fastening means 10, a sliding fitting 14, a locking means 13, an anti-bubble opening 15 and a resonant means 5.

[0097] As previously mentioned, the front wall of support 7 is defined as the front face of the support structure 4 that receives the housing 20. The housing 20 is fixed onto the front wall of support 7 by means of a complementary coupling between the support structure 4 and the housing 20, being by any locking means or tools that allow them to form a single piece.

[0098] In one embodiment of the invention, said coupling may have a sliding fitting 14 in both the support structure 4 and the housing 20 of the flow sensor 42, such that the sliding fitting 14 may be a set of complementary protrusions and recesses in the support structure 4 and in the housing 20, forming a kind of rail that allows sliding coupling between the support structure 4 and the housing 20.

[0099] In an alternative embodiment, the sliding fitting 14 may be composed of additional parts to the support structure 4 and housing 20 of in a way that creates a kind of track that allows them to be coupled together, such as a simple track or a telescopic track.

[0100] Furthermore, the said coupling between the support structure 4 and housing 20 may also have a locking means 13 to prevent the housing 20 from being uncoupled from the support structure 4 due to vibrations of the seeder during operation, or even during storage and / or maintenance of the sensing devices 1.

[0101] In one embodiment of the invention, the locking means 13 between the support structure 4 and the housing 20 may consist of a quick-locking mechanism.

[0102] The quick-release mechanism can be any rigid locking element, including tilting, snap, twist-on with pin or thread, sliding, clip, lever, clamp, or any other elements that prevent the support structure 4 from becoming detached from the housing 20.

[0103] The locking device 13 may further comprise a pair of eyelets, wherein a first eyelet is disposed on the support structure 4 and a second eyelet is disposed on the base of the housing 22. The first and second eyelets being coincident, so as to allow the insertion of a fastening element to perform the locking of the housing 20 on the support structure 4.

[0104] In an alternative embodiment, the locking means 13 between the support structure 4 and the housing 20 may consist of any other fastening elements that allow locking between the parts, such as screws, nuts, washers, clamps, cotter pins, rivets, among others.

[0105] Furthermore, in another alternative embodiment, the coupling between the support structure 4 and the housing 20 may have two or more locking means simultaneously to ensure greater stability and fixation between the parts. In addition, when the device 1 comprises more than two locking means 13, each of the means of Locking mechanism 13 can be used independently of other locking mechanisms 13.

[0106] In a third alternative embodiment, the locking means 13 between the support structure 4 and the housing 20 may depend on forces transverse to the main direction of movement of the machine and transverse to the Earth's gravitational field to be unlocked.

[0107] The anti-bubble opening 15 is defined by a pressure relief region, by a tear or cavity in the surface of the adhesive tape applied to the fixing area 9, to prevent defects from occurring during and / or after the installation of the fixing means of the support structure 10 between the support structure 4 and the deflector element 2.

[0108] Especially when adhesive tapes are used as a means of fixing the support structure 10, small air bubbles may appear if the installation is not carried out correctly, thus causing interference in the sound waves due to the variation in the propagation coefficient, making it difficult to correctly identify the signal received by the flow sensor 42.

[0109] Figures 9A and 9B illustrate a side view of the support structure 4 of the solid particulate material sensing device 1, having a front support wall 7, a rear support wall 8, a projection 6, a locking means 13 and a sliding fitting 14.

[0110] The support structure 4, in addition to fixing, also has the function of resonating the vibrations caused by the impact of the inputs on the deflector element 2 through the resonant medium 5. [0011 1] With this, a semi-resonant support structure 4 was developed. Such a protrusion 6 can be a movable protrusion, that is, any material that can be inserted or removed from the support structure 4 and does not cause attenuation of the impact generated by the inputs on the deflector element 2, or a fixed protrusion also of any material that does not cause attenuation. from the impact generated by the inputs on the deflector element 2 and that it is fixed to the support structure 4 between the deflector element 2 and the transducer 40.

[0112] In one embodiment of the invention, the protrusion 6 coincides with the installation region of the transducer 40.

[0113] The resonant medium 5 is a surface composed of any structured and solid material sufficiently so that the mechanical (sound) waves caused by the impacts of the inputs on the deflecting element pass through the resonant medium material and do not generate significant distortions in the sound wave.

[0114] More specifically, the resonant medium 5 can be a projection 6 arranged on the front wall of the support structure 7 defining and ensuring a contact area between the support structure 4 and the housing 20.

[0115] Thus, in order to optimize the propagation of the sound wave, the resonant medium 5 and the support structure 4 are composed of the same material, preferably a polymer.

[0116] It should be noted that the resonant medium 5 and the support structure 4 may be composed of different materials, provided that the objectives of the present invention are achieved.

[0117] In general, the support structure 4 provides a number of advantages to the end user compared to the state of the art, such as facilitating the installation of the product without damaging the agricultural machinery, facilitating the maintenance / replacement of the flow sensor 42 through the locking means 13, and ensuring that the flow sensor 42 is constantly receiving mechanical waves from the vibration caused by the inputs when they hit the deflector element 2 during the planting operation.

[0118] Figures 10A to 28B illustrate a housing 20 next to the flow sensor 42 of the particulate matter sensing device 1. A solid possessing a sequence of characteristics that will be described in the following paragraphs.

[0119] The housing 20 of the sensing device 1 comprises a housing base 22, a housing cover 23, housing fastening means 29, a sealing element 25, an outer resonance wall 21, an opening for a signal indicator 26 and a piezoelectric element, as can be seen in figures 10A to 15B.

[0120] During the input sensing process, housing 20 plays an important role in resonating the mechanical (sound) waves from the support structure 4 to the flow sensor 42.

[0121] Furthermore, housing 20 is also responsible for housing the flow sensor 42 inside, in order to protect it from the numerous adverse conditions that can occur during agricultural activities, such as rain, high temperature variations, dust, physical damage, such as accidental impacts, etc.

[0122] The flow sensor 42 of the sensing device 1 comprises a transducer 40, an electronic board 41, a processing unit, a radio frequency transceiver, a power source 44, an operation manager and a configuration manager.

[0123] The radio frequency transceiver can communicate with a human-machine interface (HMI) in order to present pre-determined information to the user.

[0124] The flow sensor 42 is still defined by a set of electronic devices that quantify the passage of inputs that collide with the deflector element 2 of the agricultural machinery.

[0125] Furthermore, the 42 flow sensor also communicates wirelessly with the monitor located inside the tractor or traction element of an agricultural implement, providing the user with information from each of the lines simultaneously and in real time.

[0126] The operation manager's function is to detect an event that indicates potential use of the device and send a signal to a processing unit. More specifically, the operation manager comprises components capable of stipulating operating periods, dates, and times; switches and buttons activated by the user; or even transducers 40.

[0127] In one embodiment of the invention, the transducers 40 inform the processing unit when there is flow passing through the sensor, that is, when the transducer detects a potential situation for using the sensing device 1, it sends a signal to the processing unit.

[0128] In another embodiment of the invention, a mechanical sensor, such as a "tilt sensor," may be used, which detects a mechanical disturbance, such as the movement of the sensing devices, and sends a signal to the processing unit whenever it detects a potential usage situation of the sensing device 1.

[0129] The configuration manager's function is to inform the processing unit that sensing device 1 should enter configuration mode.

[0130] In one embodiment of the invention, the processing unit configures the radio frequency transceiver on a pre-determined channel for communication with the configuration equipment. This equipment can then change the sensor's network address, its sensitivity, or any other relevant operating parameter by any means known in the prior art capable of performing this function.

[0131] In another embodiment of the invention, a reed switch type magnetic sensor may be used, so that the sensing device 1 enters configuration mode whenever a magnet is brought close to a specific region of the sensing device 1.

[0132] Figures 10A to 13B illustrate the inner face of the base of the housing 22 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 equipped with housing fastening means 29, two sealing elements 25 and a fastening region 24 for a transducer 40.

[0133] The base of the housing 22 is responsible not only for resonating the mechanical waves to the flow sensor 42 and providing housing for the same as described in the previous paragraphs, but also for being concomitant with the resonant support structure 4 during agricultural operations and housing a transducer 40 by means of a fixing region 25.

[0134] The fastening means of housing 29 are used to fix the base of housing 22 to the lid of housing 23, keeping the parts fixed and stable in the face of numerous adverse conditions encountered during planting.

[0135] In one embodiment of the invention, the means of securing the housing 29 may be screws, clamps, latches, magnets, glue, adhesive tapes or o-rings for securing to the base of the housing 22.

[0136] The sealing element 25 is described as any parts or devices that prevent the entry of fluids and / or small undesirable particles from an external environment, thus providing a seal between the base of the housing 22 and the cover of the housing 23.

[0137] More specifically, rubber gaskets, cardboard, rubber and metal rings, cardboard packings and rubber mechanical seals are some widely known materials on the market and considered examples of sealing elements 25 that can be used to provide a seal between the housing base 22 and the housing cover 23. In one embodiment of the invention, the sealing element 25 is an o-ring type rubber ring.

[0138] The mounting region 24 of transducer 40 can be described as a fitting region on the base of the housing 22, which may be a recess or any shape that allows a transducer 40 to be coupled to its surface.

[0139] The minimum depth of the mounting region 24 is equal to the thickness of the transducer 40 used in the fitting, and the maximum depth of the mounting region 24 must be less than the thickness of the housing base 22.

[0140] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the attachment region 24 present on the base of the housing 22 couples the transducer 40, which is of the piezoelectric type, and which coincides with a geometric portion of the resonant medium 5 of the resonant support structure 4.

[0141] Figures 14A to 17C illustrate the base of the housing 22 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 equipped with housing fastening means 29 and a piezoelectric type transducer 40 fitted into the fastening region 24.

[0142] Housing 20 has the advantage of protecting transducer 40 from external factors, since the agricultural environment can be very damaging to electronic devices.

[0143] Figures 16A to 17C illustrate the internal portion of the base of the housing 22 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 equipped with a flow sensor 42 comprising an electronic board 41 and a status indicator 47 connected to the electronic board 41.

[0144] It should be noted that status indicator 47 can be defined as any element capable of emitting a signal to the user, such as an LED for visual means of communication and / or a sound device for audio means of communication, such as a buzzer or loudspeaker.

[0145] This status indicator 47 is configured to send visual and / or audible communication signals to the user when actions are identified, such as indicating the correct functioning of the system, identifying faults. In communication, it can alert you to low battery, confirm device settings, among other things.

[0146] In general, status indicator 47 is the main means of communication in sensing device 1 to alert the operator about the operation and / or status of sensing device 1 in real time.

[0147] Electronic board 41 has a processing unit that receives the electrical pulses generated by transducer 40 and converts these pulses into information to be linked to other systems so that decisions can be made based on this information.

[0148] Because the sensing device 1 is a wireless device, the electronic board 41 still has a radio frequency transceiver to transfer the signals and / or information acquired through the processing unit to a central unit located on an interface.

[0149] The aforementioned interface is preferably a human-machine interface (HMI), in which the information processed by the processing unit is transferred through the radio frequency transceiver.

[0150] Furthermore, the HMI interface can be a monitor in the tractor cab, a laptop, a cell phone, or any electronic device that has a display for graphically representing information.

[0151] As can be seen in figures 16A to 18, 21A and 21B, the electronic board 41 also includes a support for a power supply 44.

[0152] Figures 21A and 21B illustrate a side view in section of the housing base 22 equipped with sealing elements 25, a transducer 40, an elastically deformable element 46, an electronic board 41 and a status indicator 47.

[0153] The elastically deformable element 46 can be defined as any material that can be deformed and conduct the electrical pulses generated by a transducer 40 to an electronic board 41.

[0154] This elastically deformable element 46 plays an important role in transferring signals without causing attenuation in the transmitted signal, thus keeping the transducer 40 pressed against the fixing region 24 of the housing base.

[0155] Any type of spring, such as center spring, compression spring, tension spring, torsion spring, among others, can be used in a flow sensor 42 as an elastically deformable element 46.

[0156] Figures 22A to 23 illustrate the outer face of the base of the housing 22 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1 equipped with housing fastening means 29 and an outer resonance wall 21.

[0157] The outer resonance wall 21 is formed on a portion of a rear wall of the resonant support structure 7 base of the housing 22, defining a contact area with the projection 5 of the resonant support structure 4. More precisely, part of the outer resonance wall 21 is opposite the mounting region 24 of the transducer 40, and is in direct contact with the resonant medium 5 and projection 6 of the resonant support structure 4.

[0158] Figures 24A to 27B illustrate a housing cover 23 of the housing 20 of the solid particulate matter sensing device 1, equipped with an opening for a signal indicator 26 and housing fastening means 29.

[0159] It is worth noting that the fastening means for housing 29 shown on the base of housing 22 can also be applied to the cover of housing 23, since the base of housing 22 and the cover of Housing 23 consists of complementary pieces that, when combined, form a single element referred to here as housing 20.

[0160] The opening for signal indicator 26 in the housing cover 20 can be represented in any way that allows the status indicator 47 on the electronic board 41 to be visible through the housing cover 23.

[0161] Among the possible ways to represent the opening for signal indicator 26, one could consider a hole in the housing cover 23 for fitting an LED, a chamfer, a translucent and / or transparent film so that it is possible to identify the signals emitted by the signal indicator, or any other seals that allow the identification of the signal emitted by the status indicator 47 without compromising the interior of the housing to unwanted external agents such as soil, mud, straw, fertilizer, and others.

[0162] Figures 28A to 30 illustrate the assembly of the resonant support structure 4 coupled to the base of the housing 22, presented in one embodiment of the invention. This assembly is also provided with housing fastening means 29, a status indicator 47 and a locking means 13.

[0163] Figures 29A to 30, specifically, present a side view in section of the assembly mentioned in the previous paragraph. In the figures it is possible to identify two sealing elements 25, a fixing area 9, a locking means 13, an electronic board 41, a protrusion 6, an elastically deformable element 46 and a piezoelectric type transducer 40.

[0164] Figure 30 illustrates an expanded view of Figures 25A and 25B to better visualize an embodiment of the invention when it comes to the interaction between the electronic board 41, the elastically deformable element 46 and the piezoelectric transducer 40.

[0165] As mentioned earlier, it is necessary that such elastically deformable element 46 be pressed against the fixing region 24 of the housing base 22 to ensure that, in addition to transferring the electrical pulses, it will also not cause attenuation in the pulses.

[0166] Thus, the elastically deformable element 46 acts not only as a connecting element between two other elements, but also as a pressure element that ensures contact and can be fixed to the electronic board 41, ensuring that at least one end is fixed and preventing failures due to poor contact and / or fit.

[0167] Figures 31A to 32B illustrate an assembly of housing 20 consisting of the housing base 22 coupled to the housing cover 23. This configuration is illustrated in an embodiment of the invention with reference to the sliding fitting 14, signal indicator opening 26, housing fastening means 29 and outer resonance wall 21.

[0168] In one embodiment of the invention shown in Figures 31A to 32B, the fastening means for housing 29 consists of screws that pass through and secure the housing cover 23 to the housing base 23.

[0169] In a further embodiment of the invention, the means for fastening the housing 29 are composed of screws that pass through and fasten the housing cover 23 to the base of the housing 23, and rubber rings 25 are also used as a sealing element to ensure pressure between the parts in order to prevent any external agents from entering the interior of the housing 20 through the gaps formed between the parts.

[0170] In a preferred embodiment, the housing 20 and the resonant support structure 4 are composed of the same material, preferably a polymer. However, other materials may be used, and different materials may be applied in the manufacture of the housing 20 and the resonant support structure 4. resonant support structure 4, provided that the objectives of the present invention are achieved.

[0171] Thus, the present invention can advantageously provide a sensing device that is non-invasive.

[0172] The present invention can also advantageously provide a sensing device that does not use wires, cables, or hoses.

[0173] Furthermore, the present invention can advantageously provide a sensing device that is easy to install / maintain in agricultural machinery.

[0174] Although the invention has been described specifically in relation to particular embodiments, it should be understood that variations and modifications will be evident to those skilled in the art and may be made without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention. Consequently, the scope of protection is not limited to the embodiments described, but is limited only by the appended claims, the scope of which shall include all equivalents.
