[0054] To further clarify the objectives, technical solutions, and advantages of the present disclosure, the display panel and display device provided by the present disclosure will be further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the embodiments described herein are only a portion of the embodiments of the present disclosure, and not all of them. All other embodiments derived by persons of ordinary skill in the art based on the embodiments of the present disclosure without inventive effort are intended to fall within the scope of protection of the present disclosure.
[0055] The shapes and sizes of the components in the drawings do not reflect the actual proportions of the display panel, and are only intended to illustrate the present disclosure.
[0056] A silicon-based OLED display panel includes a display substrate and a cover plate covering the display substrate. The display panel includes a display area and a peripheral area arranged around the display area. The cover plate and the display substrate are generally bonded together by a dam adhesive located in the peripheral area. However, in the related art, as shown in FIG1 , which is a planar schematic diagram of the display panel, a single-layer dam adhesive 100 arranged around the display area AA is used to bond the display substrate 200 and the cover plate. On the one hand, the connection strength of the single-layer dam adhesive 100 is insufficient, causing the cover plate to fall off and easily causing problems such as bubbles. On the other hand, the four corners of the dam adhesive 100 are designed to be approximately right angles, with a small corner width and high corner stress, which makes the edges of the dam adhesive 100 prone to peeling or whitening. Regarding the design scheme in which the four corners of the dam glue 100 are approximately right angles, the related art designs the outer corners of the dam glue 100 to be arcs protruding outward, but the connection between the arcs and the side edges is not smooth, that is, there are still sharp points at the connection between the arcs and the side edges, which still causes problems of peeling of the dam glue or static electricity accumulation.
[0057] In view of this, an embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display panel, as shown in Figures 2 to 6. Figure 2 is a plan view of the display panel, Figure 3 is a cross-sectional view along the CC' direction in Figure 2, Figure 4 is a schematic view of an actual product corresponding to the upper left corner of the first dam glue 2 in Figure 2, Figure 5 is a schematic view of an actual product corresponding to the upper right corner of the first dam glue 2 in Figure 2, and Figure 6 is a schematic view of an actual product corresponding to the lower right corner of the first dam glue 2 in Figure 2. The display panel includes:
[0058] A display substrate 1 having a display area AA and a peripheral area BB arranged around the display area AA;
[0059] A first dam 2 is provided on the light-emitting surface side of the display substrate 1. The first dam 2 is provided in the peripheral area BB and surrounds the display area AA. A first outer arc D1 is formed between adjacent outer sides of the first dam 2 relative to the center of the display area AA to smoothly transition therebetween.
[0060] The cover plate 3 is arranged on the light emitting surface side of the display substrate 1 , and the cover plate 3 and the display substrate 1 are bonded together by a first dam glue 2 .
[0061] The above-mentioned display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure can make the connection between the first outer arc and the side and the curvature of the first outer arc consistent by forming a first outer arc with a smooth transition between the outer adjacent sides of the first dam glue relative to the center of the display area, thereby preventing the problem of static electricity accumulation caused by the existence of a sharp point at the connection between the first outer arc and the side; and the first outer arc can increase the corner width and reduce the corner stress, which can improve the problem of peeling or whitening at the edge of the first dam glue, thereby improving the stability of the display panel, enhancing the competitive advantage of the product, and improving the yield of the product.
[0062] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 2, 4, and 6, a first inner arc E1 is formed between adjacent inner sides of the first dam glue 2 relative to the center of the display area AA to form a smooth transition. This ensures that the connection between the first inner arc E1 and the side and the curvature of the first inner arc E1 are consistent, preventing the problem of static electricity accumulation caused by the presence of a sharp point at the connection between the first inner arc E1 and the side. In addition, the first inner arc E1 can increase the corner width, reduce corner stress, and further improve the problem of peeling caused by warping on the inner side of the first dam glue 2, thereby further improving the stability of the display panel, enhancing the competitive advantage of the product, and improving the product yield.
[0063] In specific implementations, in the display panel provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 2, 4-6, the curvature of the first outer arc D1 is greater than the curvature of the first inner arc E1. This minimizes the area occupied by the first dam glue 2 in the peripheral area BB, facilitating the realization of a display panel with a narrow-frame design.
[0064] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 2, 4-6, the arc length of the first outer arc D1 is greater than the arc length of the first inner arc E1. This can also reduce the area occupied by the first dam glue 2 in the peripheral area BB, achieving a narrow-frame design for the display panel.
[0065] In practice, before bonding the display substrate to the cover plate, a frame-shaped dam glue is generally applied to the cover plate, followed by a filler glue applied within the dam glue frame. The display substrate and the cover plate are then aligned and pressed together, and finally the dam glue and filler glue are cured. To achieve a better bond between the dam glue and the filler glue, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 2, 4-6, the roughness of the inner surface of the first dam glue 2 near the display area AA is greater than the roughness of the outer surface. This allows the inner surface of the first dam glue 2 near the display area AA to be tightly adhered to the filler glue, thereby improving the packaging stability of the display panel.
[0066] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figure 2, the peripheral area BB includes a binding area B1 located on one side of the display area AA, and the side end portions (A1 and A2) of the display area AA close to the binding area B1 are roughly flush with the flat side end portions (C1 and C2) of the first dam glue 2 close to the binding area B1, that is, A1 is flush with C1, and A2 is flush with C2. This can ensure the flatness of the film layer of the binding area B1 and improve the stability of the display panel.
[0067] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG2 , the first dam glue 2 includes: a first structure 21 disposed near the binding area B1, a second structure 22 disposed opposite to the first structure 21, and a third structure 23 and a fourth structure 24 connected to the first structure 21 and the second structure 22 and disposed opposite to each other; wherein,
[0068] The width d2 of the first structure 21 is greater than or equal to the width d3 of the second structure 22, the width d3 of the second structure 22 is greater than the width d1 of the third structure 23, and the width of the fourth structure 24 is equal to the width d1 of the third structure 23, that is, the width of the fourth structure 24 is also d1. Since the binding area B1 needs to be bent to the back of the display panel, stress will be generated during bending, which may easily cause peeling at the edge of the first structure 21. Therefore, the width of each structure of the first dam glue 2 is designed to be d2≥d3>d1, that is, the first structure 21 close to the binding area B1 is designed to be wider, so that the edge of the first structure 21 is less likely to peel, thereby making the bonding between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3 stronger and improving product stability.
[0069] Optionally, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG2 , the width d2 of the first structure 21 is within a range of 250 μm to 800 μm, the width d3 of the second structure 22 is within a range of 350 μm to 800 μm, and the width d1 of the third structure 23 and the fourth structure 24 is within a range of 200 μm to 350 μm. This design range can, on the one hand, ensure a stronger bond between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3, and on the other hand, prevent the width of the peripheral area BB from being too large, thereby achieving a narrow bezel design.
[0070] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7 to 9, Figures 7 and 8 are two other planar schematic diagrams of the display panel provided by the present disclosure, and Figure 9 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram along the CC' direction in Figures 7 and 8. The display panel also includes a second dam glue 4 provided in the peripheral area BB and provided in the same layer as the first dam glue 2. The second dam glue 4 is spaced apart from the first dam glue 2. In this way, the design of the first dam glue 2 can reduce the stress at the corners and prevent edge peeling. The design of the second dam glue 4 can enable a double-layer dam glue design to be adopted between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3. The bonding between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3 is more firm, preventing the cover plate 3 from falling off, thereby avoiding the occurrence of bubble problems. In addition, the second dam glue 4 is spaced apart from the first dam glue 2, which can increase the path for external water vapor to enter, thereby improving the packaging effect.
[0071] Optionally, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG7 , the outer corners of the second dam glue 4 can be the same as those in the related art, that is, not having an arc design; in order to prevent static electricity accumulation, peeling, or whitening problems at the edge of the second dam glue 4, as shown in FIG8 , a second outer arc D2 with a smooth transition is formed between the adjacent side edges of the second dam glue 4 outside the center of the display area AA. This can ensure that the connection between the second outer arc D2 and the side edge and the curvature of the second outer arc D2 are consistent, preventing the problem of static electricity accumulation caused by the presence of a sharp point at the connection between the second outer arc D2 and the side edge; and the second outer arc D2 can increase the corner width of the outer corner of the second dam glue 4, reduce corner stress, and improve the problem of peeling or whitening at the edge of the second dam glue 4, thereby further improving the stability of the display panel, enhancing the competitive advantage of the product, and improving the product yield.
[0072] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG8 , the second dam glue 4 forms a second inner arc E2 with a smooth transition between adjacent inner side edges relative to the center of the display area AA. This ensures that the connection between the second inner arc E2 and the side edges and the curvature of the second inner arc E2 are consistent, preventing the problem of static electricity accumulation caused by the sharp edge at the connection between the second inner arc E2 and the side edges. Furthermore, the second inner arc E2 can increase the corner width, reduce corner stress, and further alleviate the problem of peeling caused by warping on the inner side of the second dam glue 4, thereby further improving the stability of the display panel, enhancing the product's competitive advantage, and improving the product yield.
[0073] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG8 , the curvature of the second outer arc D2 is greater than the curvature of the second inner arc E2, and the curvature of the second inner arc E2 is greater than the curvature of the first outer arc D1. This minimizes the area occupied by the second dam glue 4 in the peripheral area BB, facilitating the realization of a display panel with a narrow bezel design.
[0074] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG8 , the arc length of the second outer arc D2 is greater than the arc length of the second inner arc E2, and the arc length of the second inner arc E2 is greater than the arc length of the first outer arc D1. This can also reduce the area occupied by the second dam glue 4 in the peripheral area BB, achieving a narrow-frame design for the display panel.
[0075] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7 to 9, the second dam glue 4 is arranged on the side of the first dam glue 2 away from the display area AA. At the same position of the first dam glue 2 and the second dam glue 4, the width w2 of the second dam glue 4 is greater than the width w1 of the first dam glue 2. This can make the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3 more firmly bonded in the edge area, further improving the stability of the display panel.
[0076] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7 to 9 , the width w1 of the first dam glue 2 is greater than the distance w3 between the first dam glue 2 and the second dam glue 3. This can increase the dam glue area in the peripheral region BB, further improving the bonding strength between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3.
[0077] Optionally, in the display panel provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7-9 , the width w1 of the first dam glue 2 is in the range of 350 μm to 550 μm, the width w2 of the second dam glue 4 is in the range of 400 μm to 600 μm, and the distance w3 between the first dam glue 2 and the second dam glue 4 is in the range of 100 μm to 500 μm. This design within these ranges can ensure a stronger bond between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3, while also preventing the width of the peripheral area BB from being too large.
[0078] Optionally, in the display panel provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7-9 , the distance w4 between the outer edge of the second dam glue 4 and the edge of the display substrate 1 is in the range of 100μm to 300μm. Since the display panel is cut from the motherboard, the cutting line is generally located between the outer edge of the second dam glue 4 and the edge of the display substrate 1. By setting a certain distance between the second dam glue 4 and the edge of the display substrate 1, the second dam glue 4 is not cut during cutting, so warping caused by cutting will not occur, and the bonding strength between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3 can be further improved.
[0079] In specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 7 and 8, the width of the second dam glue 4 at the upper, lower, left and right positions is designed differently, the width close to the binding area B1 is the largest, the widths at the left and right positions are the same and the smallest, and the width away from the binding area B1 is in the middle.
[0080] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG10 , the display panel provided in the present disclosure adopts a double-layer dam adhesive structure in which a first dam adhesive 2 and a second dam adhesive 4 are nested. However, the outer corners of the first dam adhesive 2 and the second dam adhesive 4 are not rounded, which can also improve the bonding strength between the display substrate 1 and the cover plate 3. Of course, the number of dam adhesives is not limited to two, and can also be three or more, depending on the design needs.
[0081] In specific implementations, before the display substrate and the cover plate are bonded together, a frame-shaped dam glue is generally first applied to the cover plate, and then a filler glue is applied within the dam glue frame. The display substrate and the cover plate are then aligned and pressed together, and finally the dam glue and the filler glue are cured. To achieve a better bond between the dam glue and the filler glue, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 11 and 12, Figure 11 is a partial structural schematic diagram of the first dam glue 2 in Figures 7, 8, and 10, and Figure 12 is a partial structural schematic diagram of the second dam glue 4 in Figures 7, 8, and 10. The inner surface of the first dam glue 2 near the display area AA has a first concave-convex structure 21, and the inner surface of the second dam glue 4 near the display area AA has a second concave-convex structure 41. In this way, the first dam glue 2 and the second dam glue 4 are better bonded to the filler glue, and the bonding properties are better.
[0082] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 11 and 12, the width of the concave position in the first concave-convex structure 21 is greater than the width of the concave position in the second concave-convex structure 41, and the width of the convex position in the first concave-convex structure 21 is greater than the width of the convex position in the second concave-convex structure 41, that is, the concave and convex in the first concave-convex structure 21 are more obvious. Since the first dam glue 2 is filled with more filling glue, the first concave-convex structure 21 can make the filling glue filled more fully, so that the first dam glue 2 and the filling glue are better bonded.
[0083] Optionally, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 11 and 12, the width of the concave position and the width of the convex position in the first concave-convex structure are in the range of 50μm to 80μm, and the width of the concave position and the width of the convex position in the second concave-convex structure are in the range of 30μm to 60μm.
[0084] In a specific implementation, the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 9, 11, and 12, further includes a filler (not shown) disposed inside the first dam glue 2, and the filler is in direct contact with the first dam glue 2. This direct contact between the filler and the first dam glue 2 ensures that the filler is fully filled.
[0085] In a specific implementation, the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG9 , further includes a filler (not shown) disposed between the first dam 2 and the second dam 4 to further ensure the sealing performance of the display panel. Of course, the filler may not be placed between the first dam 2 and the second dam 4.
[0086] In a specific implementation, to ensure the bonding strength between the display substrate and the cover plate and to improve the sealing performance of the display panel, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG9 , the height of the first dam glue 2 is the same as the height of the second dam glue 4. Optionally, the height of the first dam glue 2 and the height of the second dam glue 4 are within a range of 5 μm to 10 μm.
[0087] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 3 and 9 , the peripheral area BB also includes a cathode ring area B2 disposed between the binding area B1 and the display area AA, and the orthographic projection of the first dam glue 2 on the display substrate 1 covers the cathode ring area B2. In this way, the first dam glue 2 can shield the cathode ring area B2, reducing reflections from the cathode ring area B2, thereby improving the display uniformity of the peripheral area BB of the display panel.
[0088] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG3 , the peripheral area BB also includes a metal routing area B3 disposed between the binding area B1 and the cathode ring area B2. The orthographic projection of the first dam glue 2 on the display substrate 1 covers the metal routing area B3. In this way, the first dam glue 2 can shield the metal routing area B3, reducing reflections from the metal routing area B3, thereby further improving the display uniformity of the peripheral area BB of the display panel.
[0089] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in FIG9 , the peripheral area BB also includes a metal wiring area B3 disposed between the binding area B1 and the cathode ring area B2. The orthographic projection of the second dam glue 4 on the display substrate 1 covers a portion of the metal wiring area B3. In this way, the second dam glue 4 can shield a portion of the metal wiring area B3, reducing reflections from the metal wiring area B3, thereby further improving the display uniformity of the peripheral area BB of the display panel.
[0090] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided by the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 3, 9 and 13, the display substrate 1 includes: a base substrate 11, a light-emitting device layer 12 arranged between the base substrate 11 and the first dam glue 2, a first packaging structure 13 arranged between the light-emitting device layer 12 and the first dam glue 2, a color filter layer 14 arranged between the first packaging structure 13 and the first dam glue 2, and a second packaging structure 15 arranged between the color filter layer 14 and the first dam glue 2; wherein, the combined use of the first packaging structure 13 and the second packaging structure 15 can achieve effective packaging of the light-emitting device layer, achieve effective blocking of water vapor and oxygen, and achieve the purpose of protecting the device and extending its service life; and the second packaging structure 15 can flatten the color filter layer 14 and the peripheral area BB, thereby facilitating the production of subsequent film layers and facilitating the leveling of the adhesive material in the subsequent process of laminating the cover plate 3, thereby improving the laminating quality of the cover plate 2. It also plays a role in protecting the color filter layer 14. When the second encapsulation structure 15 is provided with more than one layer, it can play a better protective role; optionally, the first encapsulation structure 13 includes a first encapsulation layer 131, a second encapsulation layer 132 and a third encapsulation layer 133 arranged in a stacked manner. The first encapsulation layer 131 and the second encapsulation structure 15 are made of one or more organic materials and inorganic materials with good sealing properties. The inorganic material can be silicon oxide, silicon nitride, etc., and the organic material can be OC material; the material of the second encapsulation layer 132 can be an inorganic material, such as Al2O3, etc.; the material of the third encapsulation layer 133 can be an inorganic material, such as SiN, etc.
[0091] In a specific implementation, in the display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 3 and 9, the color filter layer 14 includes: a plurality of color resists of different colors (e.g., red color resist R, green color resist G, and blue color resist B) located in the display area AA and distributed in an array, and at least one layer of a shielding structure 141 located in the peripheral area BB in a planar structure; each layer of the shielding structure 141 is manufactured simultaneously with one of the plurality of color resists (red color resist R, green color resist G, and blue color resist B). Optionally, the shielding structure 141 in the peripheral area BB can be formed of two layers of color resist materials of different colors, or can be formed of three layers of color resist materials of different colors. By forming the shielding structure 141 in the peripheral area BB, the proportion of reflected light from the metal traces in the peripheral area BB that is emitted from the light-emitting surface of the display panel can be reduced, thereby ensuring display uniformity in the peripheral area BB. Furthermore, the first dam glue 2 disposed above the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 can further block the reflected light from the peripheral area BB on top of the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141, thereby further reducing the probability of the reflected light from the peripheral area BB being emitted from the light-emitting surface of the display panel. The disclosed embodiment takes the peripheral area BB as an example, with two layers of shielding structures 141 disposed therein. Each layer of shielding structure 141 is fabricated simultaneously with one of the red color resist R, green color resist G, and blue color resist B. For example, in the disclosed embodiment, the bottom layer of shielding structure 141 is fabricated simultaneously with the blue color resist B, while the top layer of shielding structure 141 is fabricated simultaneously with the red color resist R.
[0092] It should be noted that simultaneous production means that when the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 has only two layers, it can be produced simultaneously with the first two, the last two, or the first and third of the red, green, and blue color resists R, G, and B. When the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 includes three layers, each layer of the shielding structure 141 is produced simultaneously in the same order as the display area AA.
[0093] Specifically, as shown in Figures 3 and 9, one end of the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 is flush with the edge of the color filter layer 14 on the side closest to the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141, allowing for a seamless connection between the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 and the color filter layer 14. This allows for coverage of the cathode ring area B2 adjacent to the display area AA, preventing reflections from the cathode ring area B2. This seamless connection also facilitates the simultaneous fabrication of the display area AA color filter and the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141. The other end of the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 is roughly flush with the edge of the metal trace area B3 on the side away from the display area AA. This allows the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 to cover the metal trace area B3, preventing reflections from the metal traces in the metal trace area B3 and reducing the reflectivity of the peripheral area BB.
[0094] In a specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 3 and 9, the display substrate 1 further includes: a first flat layer 16 disposed between the first encapsulation structure 13 and the color filter layer 14, a second flat layer 17 disposed between the second encapsulation structure 15 and the first dam glue 2, a third flat layer 18 disposed between the second flat layer 17 and the first dam glue 2, a plurality of microlenses 19 disposed between the third flat layer 18 and the first dam glue 2, and a protective layer 20 disposed between the plurality of microlenses 19 and the first dam glue 2. Optionally, the microlenses 19 may be convex lenses, and the protective layer 20 may be an inorganic layer, such as silicon carbide (SiC), silicon carbide nitride (SiCNx), SiNx, SiOx, etc. The protective layer 20 may protect the color filter layer 14 and the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141, thereby reducing aging damage to the color filter layer 14 and the peripheral area BB shielding structure 141 and increasing the service life.
[0095] In specific implementation, in the above-mentioned display panel provided in the embodiment of the present disclosure, as shown in Figures 3 and 9, the base substrate 11 is a silicon substrate, that is, the display panel provided by the present disclosure is a silicon-based OLED microdisplay. Silicon-based OLED microdisplay devices are different from conventional AMOLED devices that use amorphous silicon, microcrystalline silicon, or low-temperature polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistors as backplanes. They use single-crystal silicon chips as substrates, have a pixel size of 1 / 10 that of traditional display devices, and are much finer than traditional devices. The single-crystal silicon chip uses the existing mature integrated circuit CMOS process, which not only realizes the active addressing matrix of the display screen pixels, but also realizes the drive control circuits of various functions such as SRAM memory and T-CON on the silicon chip, greatly reducing the external connections of the device, increasing reliability, and achieving lightweight. In addition, the silicon-based OLED microdisplay device has a simplified structure, reduced costs, improved display quality, meets the special needs of different viewing angles, and can achieve a lightweight and integrated design. Silicon-based AMOLED microdisplays have a broad market application space and are particularly suitable for applications such as helmet displays, stereoscopic display mirrors, and eye-type displays.

This disclosure takes the base substrate 11 as a silicon substrate and the driving circuit 10 integrated into the base substrate 11 as an example.
[0098] Alternatively, as shown in Figures 3 and 9, the anode layer 121 is generally made of ITO, which has high transmittance and a high work function. The cathode layer 124 is electrically connected to the overlapping portion 70 through a via hole passing through the pixel defining layer 122. The cathode ring 50 is electrically connected to the second transfer metal 90 through the fourth metal layer 80 (for example, tungsten) filled in the via hole passing through the base substrate 11, that is, the cathode layer 124 and the cathode ring 50 are electrically connected in the cathode ring area B2.
[0102] Specifically, the first transfer metal 40 and the second transfer metal 90 may be electrically connected to a driver IC or an FPC to provide electrical signals to the display panel.
[0103] Specifically, the anode layer 121, the light-emitting functional layer 123, and the cathode layer 124 form a light-emitting device. The pixel defining layer 122 is used to separate the multiple light-emitting devices. That is, the pixel defining layer 122 is used to define multiple sub-pixel regions, each of which is provided with a light-emitting device. The light-emitting device can be a self-luminous device such as an OLED or a quantum dot light-emitting device. In other words, the display panel can be an OLED display panel, but it can also be a display panel such as an LED.
[0104] Optionally, the cover plate may be made of transparent glass or other materials. The present disclosure adopts a plain glass with high transmittance.
[0105] Optionally, the first dam glue and the second dam glue are transparent adhesives, for example, they can be adhesive layers formed by OCA optical glue; the first dam glue and the second dam glue can also be black adhesive layers. By setting the first dam glue and the second dam glue as black adhesive layers, it can block the reflected light from being emitted from the light-emitting surface, thereby improving the reflection phenomenon in the peripheral area.
[0106] As shown in Figures 14 and 15, Figure 14 is a planar schematic diagram of part of the structure in Figures 3 and 9, and Figure 15 is a three-dimensional structural schematic diagram of part of the structure in the display panel. The cover plate 3 is slightly larger than the light-emitting device layer 12 and the color film layer 14, and the cover plate 3 is slightly smaller than the base substrate 11. A certain distance is left around the base substrate 11 to achieve positioning and fixation of the silicon-based OLED visual effect module, wherein the light-emitting device of the light-emitting device layer 12 realizes the light-emitting visual effect, and the base substrate 11 is integrated with a driving circuit to realize the voltage input drive of the light-emitting pixels. A flexible circuit board (FPC) is connected to one side of the light-emitting device and the base substrate 11. The flexible circuit board (FPC) realizes the electrical connection between the display panel and the external circuit board to realize the transmission of external signals.
[0107] As shown in FIG15 , the binding area B1 is mainly bound to the FPC (flexible printed circuit), and the FPC is bound to the back of the display substrate 1 by bending, which is beneficial to the narrow frame design of the display panel.
