Abstract
Description
[0001] Filter body for a filtration device
[0002] The invention relates to a filter body for a filtration device having a cover unit, comprising a filter media layer comprising a folded or foldable filter material through which a fluid to be filtered can flow. Furthermore, the invention relates to a cover unit for a filtration device, comprising a filter body comprising a filter media layer with a folded or foldable filter material through which a fluid to be filtered can flow, and a cover part to or in which the filter body can be fastened and which, together with the filter body, can be placed onto a cover receptacle of the filtration device.
[0003] Furthermore, the invention relates to a filtration device with a cover unit comprising a filter body and a cover receptacle onto which the cover unit can be placed.
[0004] Filter media layers with pleated filter material have a comparatively large filter surface due to the folds and can therefore achieve high filter performance even with little space required.
[0005] In particular, the sealing and handling of such filter bodies has so far been a problem. The object underlying the invention is therefore to simplify the sealing and / or handling of the filter body of a filtration device having a cover unit.
[0006] The object is achieved by a filter body of the type mentioned at the outset, wherein the filter body according to the invention has at least one, in particular circumferential, sealing contour which is arranged on the filter media layer.
[0007] The sealing contour is preferably integrally bonded to the filter media layer. By forming the sealing contour as an integral part of the filter body, sealing the filter body and its handling are significantly simplified.
[0008] In a preferred embodiment of the filter body according to the invention, the filter media layer has at least one flow opening for the fluid, free of filter material. The fluid can pass through the flow opening through the filter media layer without the fluid being filtered. When the filter body is arranged on a side of a cover part of a filtration device facing a cover receptacle, the fluid to be filtered can thus initially flow into the cover part through the flow opening, so that filtration only occurs when the fluid flows from the cover part back into the cover receptacle. The separated particles can thus be collected within the cover part.
[0009] The filter body can be constructed in one or more parts. The sealing contour can also be arranged on the filter media layer in a way that can be removed non-destructively. The sealing contour can have a constant contour width and / or a constant contour height. Alternatively, the sealing contour can have a varying contour width and / or a varying contour height. The cross-section of the sealing contour can therefore be constant or varying along the contour.
[0010] The filter body according to the invention is further advantageously developed in that the sealing contour runs at least partially along an outer edge of the filter media layer. Alternatively or additionally, the sealing contour can also run partially spaced from the outer edge of the filter media layer. For example, the contour of the sealing contour has an indentation region in which the sealing contour runs partially spaced from the outer edge of the filter media layer. The sealing contour preferably has a circumferential and / or closed sealing profile. The filter media layer preferably has a top side and a bottom side. The sealing contour projects beyond the filter material of the filter media layer, preferably on the top side and / or the bottom side. The filter body is preferably flush with the sealing contour on the outside, at least in some regions.
[0011] In a preferred embodiment, the filter body according to the invention has an opening seal, in particular a circumferential one, which runs at least partially along an inner edge of the filter media layer that delimits the flow opening. The opening seal preferably has a circumferential and / or closed seal profile. The opening seal follows the profile of the inner edge of the filter media layer that delimits the flow opening. The opening seal and the inner edge of the filter media layer that delimits the flow opening preferably have a matching profile pattern. If the inner edge of the filter media layer that delimits the flow opening lies within a material plane when the filter material is unfolded, the opening seal also runs within this material plane when the filter material is unfolded. If the inner edge of the filter media layer delimiting the flow opening has a curved shape when the filter material is folded and / or has different gradients along its length, the opening seal will also have this curved shape when the filter material is folded and / or have matching gradients along its length. The filter media layer preferably has a top side and a bottom side. The opening seal projects beyond the filter material of the filter media layer, preferably on the top side and / or the bottom side. The sealing contour and the opening seal can be made of the same material and / or project beyond the filter material on the top side and / or the bottom side by the same height. The flow opening is preferably surrounded by the opening seal. The opening seal can have a constant material thickness or a varying material thickness.
[0012] Furthermore, a filter body according to the invention with a handling tab is preferred, wherein the handling tab is located beyond a flow area of the filter media layer through which the fluid to be filtered flows during operation of the filtration device. The handling tab can be grasped by a person to detach the filter body from the cover part of the cover unit. The handling tab can be formed by a section of the filter material. The handling tab can also be fixed, for example, molded, to the filter media layer and / or the sealing contour.
[0013] In an advantageous development, the filter body according to the invention has fixing elements arranged on the sealing contour for fixing the filter body to the cover part of the cover unit. The fixing elements extend from the sealing contour outwards and / or inwards and / or upwards and / or downwards. The fixing elements can be designed as fixing knobs. The fixing elements can have an oval cross-section. The fixing elements can be inserted into fixing recesses on the cover part to fix the filter body to the cover part. When the fixing elements are inserted into the fixing recesses, the fixing elements are preferably deformed, in particular elastically deformed. The fixing recesses preferably have an undercut, so that the fixing elements are positively fixed in the fixing recesses. The fixing elements can be arranged at uniform or uneven spacing along the course of the sealing contour. The fixing elements preferably project beyond the sealing contour on a side facing away from the filter media layer. The fixing elements can be material projections that can be fixed in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner in fixing recesses in the cover part. The fixing elements can, for example, be pressed into the fixing recesses for a force-fitting and / or form-fitting fixation of the filter body to the cover part. The fixing elements and the sealing contour can be integral components of a one-piece sealing body.
[0014] In an advantageous development of the filter body according to the invention, the filter material of the filter media layer is held in a folded, in particular multiply folded, shape by means of a stiffening structure. The resulting folds can be designed without fold edges or with fold edges. A shape without fold edges can, for example, be a kink-free wave shape. By holding the filter material in the folded shape, several filter bodies can be stacked on top of one another in a space-saving manner, thereby simplifying handling and reducing logistics costs. The stiffening structure can be arranged on the outside of the filter material. The stiffening structure can be integrated into the filter material. The stiffening structure can be a stiffening frame. The stiffening structure can be made of plastic. The stiffening structure can be formed by the sealing contour.
[0015] In a further preferred embodiment of the filter body according to the invention, the filter media layer has a plurality of layer segments, wherein a holding element is arranged between each layer segment, which holding element can be fastened in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner to a fastening contour in the cover part of the cover unit. Along the holding elements between the layer segments, the filter body has increased rigidity, which allows force-fitting and / or form-fitting fastening to a fastening contour in the cover part. The holding elements can be formed by melting regions in which the filter medium is partially melted by heat treatment. Alternatively, the holding elements can also be sprayed-on material regions. The holding elements can be continuous or interrupted, for example slotted. For example, several holding elements run parallel to one another. One or more holding elements can also run parallel to the pleat alignment or pleat orientation. The holding elements can be located only on the top or only on the bottom of the filter body, thus predetermining a fastening orientation. Alternatively, holding elements can be arranged on both the top and bottom of the filter body. If the holding elements are designed as material strips, the strip width of the material strips can be constant. Alternatively, the strip width of the material strips can change along the strip path. For example, the material strips become wider from the outside to the inside or narrower from the outside to the inside. The filter body can be held to the cover part of the cover unit via the holding elements. The retaining members are preferably arranged and configured such that, when the filter media layer is folded, they form the pleat tips or the fold transition areas of the respective pleats. The retaining members are preferably stiffening strips running parallel to one another. The retaining members can be fixed to the filter material of the filter media layer. For example, the retaining members are glued or welded onto the filter material of the filter media layer. The retaining members can, for example, be clamped into the fastening contours in the cover part. If the filter material has a crown pleat, the retaining members can be arranged in the region of the crown tips.
[0016] In a further preferred embodiment of the filter body according to the invention, the sealing contour extends within a fold-over plane defined by the folding of the filter material, in which fold-over plane several or all folds located on one side of the filter body lie. Preferably, the filter body has an upper fold-over plane and a lower fold-over plane, with several or all folds located on the upper side of the filter body lying in the upper fold-over plane, and several or all folds located on the underside of the filter body lying in the lower fold-over plane.
[0017] Furthermore, a filter body according to the invention is preferred in which the lateral fold edges of the filter material are designed without any seals. The lateral fold edges are preferably neither glued to any lateral wall sections nor provided with side lamination. The filter body can thus be folded together in an extremely space-saving manner for transport purposes. In another preferred embodiment of the filter body according to the invention, the sealing contour is formed by a sealing frame, in particular a circumferential one, wherein the lateral outer edges of the fold turns of the filter material are fixed to or in the sealing frame. The lateral outer edges of the fold turns of the filter material can be cast into the sealing frame. The fold turn of the filter material is preferably designed without any fold edges.
[0018] In another preferred embodiment, the filter body according to the invention has a support frame comprising a plurality of pleat support parts, each of which extends inside a fold turn-up of the filter material and on which a fold turn-up of the filter material rests. The support frame can, for example, be a strut frame. The pleat support parts can, for example, be pleat support struts. The support frame can assume a sealing function and thus function as a sealing and support frame.
[0019] The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a cover unit of the type mentioned above, wherein the filter body of the cover unit according to the invention is designed according to one of the embodiments described above. With regard to the advantages and modifications of the cover unit according to the invention, reference is therefore first made to the advantages and modifications of the filter body according to the invention.
[0020] For example, the filter body has no wrinkles as delivered, or is designed to be wrinkle-free as delivered. The wrinkles may only form when the filter body is attached to the cover part and / or when the cover unit is placed on the cover holder.
[0021] In a preferred embodiment of the cover unit according to the invention, the cover part has a pleat contouring arrangement for contouring the pleats of the filter body attached to the cover part. The pleat contouring arrangement can, for example, comprise one or more pleat contouring combs. By placing the filter body onto the pleat contouring arrangement, a pleat contour predetermined by the pleat contouring arrangement can be impressed on the filter body.
[0022] In another preferred embodiment of the cover unit according to the invention, the pleat contouring arrangement has a plurality of pleat contouring webs, wherein one or more pleat contouring webs are assigned to a fold of the filter body attached to the cover part and are configured to contour the assigned fold. The pleat contouring webs can be designed as comb teeth of a pleat contouring comb. The pleat contouring arrangement can comprise one or more pleat contouring combs, wherein the respective pleat contouring combs can comprise one or more comb teeth.
[0023] The cover unit according to the invention is further advantageously developed in that the cover part has one or more fixing recesses in which fixing elements of the filter body can be fixed in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner to fix the filter body to the cover part. The fixing elements can be arranged on the sealing contour of the filter body. The fixing recesses preferably form an undercut so that the fixing elements can be inserted into the fixing recesses with elastic deformation. The undercut ensures a form-fitting attachment of the filter body to the cover part.
[0024] In another preferred embodiment of the cover unit according to the invention, the cover part has fastening contours to which retaining elements arranged between layer segments of the filter media layer can be fastened in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner to secure the filter body to the cover part. The fastening contours can be formed by recesses or slots into which the retaining elements of the filter body can be pressed.
[0025] The cover unit according to the invention is further advantageously developed in that the cover part has a frame receiving area into which a sealing frame or a support frame of the filter body can be inserted for force-fitting and / or form-fitting fastening of the filter body to the cover part. The frame receiving area can be a clamping receptacle into which the sealing frame or the support frame of the filter body can be clamped. The frame receiving area can have an undercut over which the inserted sealing frame or support frame can be held in a form-fitting manner in the frame receiving area.
[0026] The object underlying the invention is further achieved by a filtration device of the type mentioned above, wherein the filter body is designed according to one of the embodiments described above and / or wherein the cover unit is designed according to one of the embodiments described above. With regard to the advantages and modifications of the filtration device according to the invention, reference is therefore first made to the advantages and modifications of the filter body according to the invention and the advantages and modifications of the cover unit according to the invention.
[0027] In a preferred embodiment of the filtration device according to the invention, the cover receptacle has a counter-contouring arrangement for contouring the pleats of the filter body attached to the cover. The counter-contouring arrangement can comprise one or more pleat contouring combs.
[0028] When the lid unit is placed on the lid receptacle, the pleat contouring arrangement of the lid part and the counter-contouring arrangement of the lid receptacle preferably engage with each other in such a way that the filter body running between the pleat contouring arrangement and the counter-contouring arrangement is forced into a folded shape.
[0029] In a preferred embodiment of the filtration device, the counter-contouring arrangement comprises a plurality of counter-contouring webs, wherein one or more counter-contouring webs are assigned to a fold of the filter body attached to the cover part and are configured to contour the associated fold. The counter-contouring webs can be designed as comb teeth. The fold contouring combs of the counter-contouring arrangement can comprise one or more comb teeth.
[0030] In a further preferred embodiment of the filtration device according to the invention, the lid unit and the lid receptacle have corresponding twist-lock elements, by means of which the lid unit and the lid receptacle can be secured to one another. The twist-lock elements of the lid unit and the lid receptacle can, for example, be threaded sections, by means of which the lid unit can be screwed onto the lid receptacle.

[0057] Fig. 1 shows a filtration device 200 with a lid unit 100 placed on a lid receptacle 202. The lid unit 100 comprises a lid part 102 with a handle 104. The handle 104 can be gripped by a user, for example to attach the lid part 102 to the lid receptacle 202 or to detach the lid unit 100 from the lid receptacle 202.
[0058] The cover unit 100 comprises a filter body 10, which remains on the cover part 102 when the cover part 102 is lifted off the cover receptacle 202.
[0059] On the cover part 102 there are rotary locking elements 112, via which the cover part 102 can be fastened to the cover receptacle 202 by means of the locking ring 206 shown in Fig. 2.
[0060] The cover part 102 has a pleat contouring arrangement 106 for contouring the pleats of the filter body 10 fastened to the cover part 102. The cover receptacle 202 has a counter-contouring arrangement 204 for contouring the pleats of the filter body 10 fastened to the cover part 102. The pleat contouring arrangement 106 of the cover part 102 and the counter-contouring arrangement 204 of the cover receptacle 202 interlock. Fig. 2 shows that the pleat contouring arrangement 106 comprises a plurality of pleat contouring combs. The pleat contouring arrangement 106 comprises a plurality of pleat contouring webs 114, wherein a plurality of pleat contouring webs 114 are each assigned to a pleat of the filter body 10 fastened to the cover part 102 and are configured to contour the associated pleat. The fold contouring webs 114 are designed as comb teeth.
[0061] The counter-contouring arrangement 204 also has a plurality of pleat contouring combs. Specifically, the counter-contouring arrangement 204 has a plurality of counter-contouring webs 218, wherein a plurality of counter-contouring webs 218 are assigned to a respective pleat of the filter body 10 attached to the cover part 102 and are configured to contour the associated pleat. The counter-contouring webs 218 are designed as comb teeth.
[0062] The filter body 10 has a filter media layer 12 comprising a folded filter material 14 through which a fluid F to be filtered can flow. A circumferential sealing contour 16 is arranged on the filter media layer 12. The sealing contour 16 runs along the outer edge of the filter media layer 12.
[0063] The filter media layer 12 has a filter material-free flow opening 18 for the fluid F. An opening seal 20 runs along the edge of the filter media layer 12 delimiting the flow opening 18. The sealing contour 16 and the opening seal 20 are made of the same material and project above the filter material 14 by the same height on both the top and bottom sides.
[0064] The filter body 10 further comprises a handling tab 22, which is located beyond a flow area of the filter media layer 12, through which the fluid F to be filtered flows during operation of the filtration device 200. The handling tab 22 can be grasped by a person to detach the filter body 10 from the cover part 102 of the cover unit 100.
[0065] The filter material 14 of the filter media layer 12 has a plurality of edge-free folds. The folds are formed by upper fold folds 24a-24c and lower fold fold folds 26a, 26b. The lid receptacle 202 has a locking ring 206, which has twist-lock elements on its inside that can be engaged with the twist-lock elements 112 of the lid part 102.
[0066] Furthermore, the cover receptacle 102 has an inlet 208 for the fluid F to be filtered and an outlet 210 for the filtered fluid F.
[0067] Fig. 3 shows that the fluid F to be filtered initially flows into the cover receptacle 202 of the filtration device 200 via the inlet 208. The raw side of the filtration device 200, i.e., the region in which the fluid F is located before flowing through the filter material 14 of the filter body 10, is divided into two raw side sections 212a, 212b. The raw side section 212a comprises the flow regions in the cover receptacle 202, while the raw side section 212b comprises the raw side flow regions in the cover part 102. The unfiltered fluid F can pass through the filter media layer 12 of the filter body 10 via the filter material-free flow opening 18 and thus flow unfiltered into the cover part 102. In an upper region of the cover part 102, the fluid to be filtered is then deflected and guided in the direction of the filter material 14 of the filter body 10.After flowing through the filter material 14 of the filter body 10, the fluid F reaches the clean side 214 of the filtration device, wherein the clean side 214 is located in the cover receptacle 202. The filtered fluid F is then discharged from the cover receptacle 202 via an outlet 210 (not shown in Fig. 3).
[0068] The particles separated from the fluid F thus collect in the cover-receiving-side raw side section 212b, so that the separated particles remain in the cover part 102 even if the cover unit 100 is removed from the cover receptacle 202.
[0069] Fig. 4 shows a filter body 10 with a filter media layer 12 and a circumferential sealing contour 16, which runs along the outer edge of the filter media layer 12. The filter media layer 12 comprises a foldable filter material 14 through which the fluid F to be filtered can flow. Furthermore, the filter body 10 comprises a handling tab 22, which can be grasped by a person in order to detach the filter body 10 from the cover part 102 of the cover unit 100.
[0070] The handling tab 22 is designed as a material extension which adjoins the oval basic shape of the filter media layer 12 in a tab-like manner.
[0071] The opening seal 20 follows the course of the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 18. The opening seal 18 and the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 20 have a matching pattern. Due to the unfolded state of the filter material 14, the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 18 lies within a material plane in which the opening seal 20 also runs.
[0072] Fig. 5 shows a handling tab 22, which is formed by an indentation in the sealing profile of the sealing contour 16.
[0073] Fig. 6 shows a sealing contour 16 extending between a cover part 102 and a cover receptacle 202. The cover part 102 has a circumferential fixing recess 108, within which an upper region of the sealing contour 16 is arranged. The cover receptacle 202 has a circumferential sealing receptacle, in which a lower part of the sealing contour 16 is arranged.
[0074] The upper part of the sealing contour 16 is clamped in the circumferential fixing recess 108 of the cover part 102 and is in circumferential contact with the sealing surface 110. Due to the clamping of the sealing contour 16 in the fixing recess 108, the filter body 10 remains on the cover part 102 when the cover part 102 is lifted from the cover receptacle 202. The sealing contour 16 is not clamped within the sealing receptacle of the cover receptacle 202. However, to achieve a seal, the sealing contour 16 contacts the sealing surface 216 all around.
[0075] Fig. 7 shows that the filter body 10 remains on the cover part 102 due to the clamping effect which the fixing recess 108 exerts on the upper part of the sealing contour 16 when the cover part 102 is lifted off the cover receptacle 202.
[0076] Fig. 8 shows that a lower part of the sealing contour 16 comes into contact with the sealing surface 216 again when the cover unit 100 is put on.
[0077] Fig. 9 shows a filter body 10 with a filter media layer 12, which comprises a folded filter material 14 through which a fluid F to be filtered can flow. The filter material 14 of the filter media layer 12 is held in a multiply folded form by means of a stiffening structure 28. The stiffening structure 28 is formed by the sealing contour 16. The sealing contour 16 imprints the folds 24a-24c and the folds 26a, 26b on the filter media layer 12.
[0078] The opening seal 20 follows the course of the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 18. The opening seal 18 and the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 20 have a matching pattern. Due to the folded state of the filter material 14, the inner edge of the filter media layer 12 that defines the flow opening 18 has a curved shape and different gradients along its course. The opening seal 20 has the same curved shape and the same gradients along its course.
[0079] Fig. 10 shows several filter bodies 10 stacked on top of each other. Due to the dimensional stability provided by the sealing contour 16 acting as a stiffening structure 28, the filter bodies 10 can be stacked on top of each other in a space-saving manner.
[0080] Figure 11 shows a lid part 102 of a lid unit 100. The lid part 102 includes a handle 104 for gripping by an operator. On the outside are twist-lock elements 112 for attaching the lid part 102 to a lid receptacle 202.
[0081] The cover part 102 has a pleat contouring arrangement 106 for contouring the pleats of the filter body 10 to be attached to the cover part 102. The pleat contouring arrangement 106 comprises a plurality of pleat contouring webs 114, wherein a plurality of pleat contouring webs 114 are assigned to a respective pleat of the filter body 10 to be attached to the cover part 102. The pleat contouring webs 114 assigned to a pleat serve to contour the pleat assigned to the respective pleat contouring webs 114.
[0082] Fig. 12 shows a filter body 10 in which the filter media layer 12 has a plurality of layer segments 30a-30d. A retaining member 32a-32e is arranged between each layer segment 30a-30d. The retaining members 32a-32e can be fastened in a force-fitting and form-fitting manner to a fastening contour in the cover part 102 of the cover unit 100. The retaining members 32a-32e are arranged and designed such that, when the filter media layer 12 is folded, they form the pleat tips or the fold turn-over areas of the respective pleats. The retaining members 32a-32e are stiffening strips running parallel to one another. The retaining members 32a-32e are fixed to the filter material 14 of the filter media layer 12. The holding members 32a-32e can be clamped into the fastening contours in the cover part 102.
[0083] Fig. 13 shows a filter body 10 in which fixing members 34a-34f are arranged on the sealing contour 16 for fixing the filter body 10 to the cover part 102 of the cover unit 100. The fixing members 34a-34f project beyond the sealing contour 16 on the side facing away from the filter media layer 12. The fixing members 34a-34f and the sealing contour 16 are integral components of a one-piece sealing body. The fixing members 34a-34f are material projections that can be fixed in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner in fixing recesses in the cover part 102. In the present case, the fixing members 34a-34f are designed as retaining knobs.
[0084] Fig. 14 shows a filtration device 200 in which the cover part 102 has fixing recesses 108a-108c, in which fixing members 34a-34f of the filter body 10 can be fixed in a force-fitting and form-fitting manner to fix the filter body 10 to the cover part 102. The fixing recesses form undercuts, so that the fixing members 34a-34f can be elastically deformed for insertion into the fixing recesses 108a-108c. Fig. 15 shows another filtration device 200 with a cover receptacle 202 and a cover unit 100 that can be placed onto the cover receptacle 202.
[0085] The lid unit 100 comprises a lid part 102 and a filter body 10 attached to the lid part 102. The lid part 102 includes a pleat contouring arrangement 106 with a plurality of pleat contouring webs 114 for contouring the pleats of the filter body 10 attached to the lid part 102.
[0086] The lid receptacle 102 comprises a counter-contouring arrangement 204 with a plurality of counter-contouring webs 218 for contouring the folds of the filter body 10 fastened to the lid part 102.
