Abstract
Description
Helmet with gasket attached
[0001] The present invention relates to a helmet having a gasket attached thereto.
[0002] A helmet is a protective device worn on the head to protect the head from external impacts. When riding a bicycle or motorcycle, wearing a helmet is required for safety.
[0003] The primary purpose of a helmet is to protect the user from external forces, but as a secondary purpose, it is also required to protect the user from foreign objects directed at the user's head from the outside, thereby helping the user maintain a stable state while driving or working.
[0004] For this purpose, the face of the helmet may be equipped with a visor made of a transparent material that protects the user's face while not obstructing the user's field of vision.
[0005] At this time, if there is a gap between the visor and the helmet, foreign substances such as rainwater can seep into the gap when riding a motorcycle or bicycle or performing other tasks.
[0006] To prevent this, the helmet may include a sealing member, such as a gasket.
[0007] However, even if a gasket is provided, it may lose its sealing function over time due to repeated use, and if rainwater cannot be quickly discharged to the outside, rainwater may run down the inner side of the visor, obstructing the field of vision, or rainwater may seep inside and be absorbed into the interior material, causing discomfort to the user.
[0008] Accordingly, there is a need for a helmet that includes a gasket that has a sealing function to prevent rainwater from penetrating inside and a function to effectively discharge rainwater that cannot be quickly discharged to the side and accumulates on the top of the gasket.
[0009] The present invention is intended to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a helmet that can effectively drain rainwater while providing a sealing function.
[0010] The tasks of the present invention are not limited to the tasks mentioned above, and other tasks not mentioned will be clearly understood by those skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains from the description below.
[0011] According to one aspect of the present invention, a helmet is provided, comprising: a helmet body having a face opening at the front; a visor coupled to the helmet body so as to be able to close or open the face opening; and a gasket attached and sealing an upper edge, one edge, and the other edge of the face opening; wherein the gasket includes a sealing body sealing the upper edge, the one edge, and the other edge, and a first wall extending obliquely upwardly outward from an outer surface of a portion of the sealing body sealing the upper edge, and forming a first external flow path.
[0012] At this time, the gasket may further include a second external channel formed in an up-and-down direction on one side of the sealing body so that a fluid flowing to one end of the first external channel is guided downward, and a third external channel formed in an up-and-down direction on the other side of the sealing body so that a fluid flowing to the other end of the first external channel is guided downward.
[0013] At this time, the gasket may further include a second wall extending outwardly along the second external passage in front of the second external passage to block the fluid flowing in the second external passage from flowing into the facial opening, and a third wall extending outwardly along the third external passage in front of the third external passage to block the fluid flowing in the third external passage from flowing into the facial opening.
[0014] At this time, the gasket may further include a first inlet disposed through the sealing body on one side of the first external flow path, a first internal flow path formed on an inner surface of one side of the sealing body so that fluid introduced through the first inlet is guided to one side of the sealing body, a second inlet disposed through the sealing body on the other side of the second external flow path, and a second internal flow path formed on an inner surface of the other side of the sealing body so that fluid introduced through the second inlet is guided to the other side of the sealing body.
[0015] At this time, the gasket may further include a first outlet disposed through the sealing body at the discharge end of the first internal passage so that the fluid flowing through the first internal passage is discharged to the outside of the sealing body, and a second outlet disposed through the sealing body at the discharge end of the second internal passage so that the fluid flowing through the second internal passage is discharged to the outside of the sealing body.
[0016] At this time, the gasket may further include a first blocking plate that protrudes outward from one end of the first wall and extends downward to block fluid that has flowed to one end of the first external passage from flowing into the first outlet, and a second blocking plate that protrudes outward from the other end of the first wall and extends downward to block fluid that has flowed to the other end of the first external passage from flowing into the second outlet.
[0017] At this time, the first internal flow path may be formed so that the cross-sectional area thereof becomes wider as it approaches the first outlet from the first inlet, and the second internal flow path may be formed so that the cross-sectional area thereof becomes wider as it approaches the second outlet from the second inlet.
[0018] At this time, the first sealing member may be further arranged to cover the first internal passage so that the first internal passage is sealed against the outer surface of the helmet body, and the second sealing member may be further arranged to cover the second internal passage so that the second internal passage is sealed against the outer surface of the helmet body.
[0019] According to the above configuration, a helmet according to one aspect of the present invention has a channel for draining rainwater in a gasket, thereby preventing rainwater falling on the helmet from accumulating excessively and preventing rainwater from flowing inside, while effectively draining rainwater.
[0020] In addition, a helmet according to one aspect of the present invention is provided with a channel for effectively draining rainwater, so that drainage performance can be smoothly demonstrated even when a large amount of rainwater flows.
[0021] The effects of the present invention are not limited to the effects described above, and should be understood to include all effects that can be inferred from the detailed description of the present invention or the composition of the invention described in the claims.

[0030] In order to clearly express the characteristics of the composition in the drawing, the thickness and size are exaggerated, and the thickness and size of the composition shown in the drawing are not necessarily the same as in reality.
[0031] Figure 1 is a perspective view of a helmet according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0032] A helmet (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention includes a helmet body (3) for protecting the head from external force, a visor (4) for protecting the face and provided to close or open the face opening, and a gasket (2) for sealing and attaching the upper edge, one edge, and the other edge of the face opening.
[0033] Referring to Fig. 1, a gasket (2) can be attached to the helmet body (3) and fit tightly along the perimeter of the face opening of the helmet (1) to seal the upper edge, one side edge, and the other side edge of the face opening.
[0034] FIG. 2 is a drawing illustrating the front side of a helmet gasket according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 3 is a drawing illustrating the rear side of a helmet gasket according to one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 4 is a drawing illustrating a state in which a protective film is attached to the rear side of a helmet gasket according to one embodiment of the present invention.
[0035] The gasket (2) illustrated in FIGS. 2 to 4 is a drawing showing the gasket (2) of the curved shape illustrated in FIG. 1 straightened on a plane.
[0036] The gasket (2) may include a sealing body (10) for sealing the upper edge, one side edge, and the other side edge of the face opening of the helmet (1).
[0037] Referring to Fig. 2, the central portion in the x-axis direction of the sealing body (10) can be formed thin and long along the upper edge of the face opening of the helmet (1). The first wall (12) extends obliquely upward on the front side of the sealing body (10) and can form a first external flow path (11).
[0038] Since the first wall (12) is formed to extend upwardly and slantedly on the front side of the sealing body (10), rainwater falling on the front side of the helmet (1) can be induced to flow onto the first external flow path (11) instead of flowing toward the visor (4).
[0039] In addition, rainwater falling on the upper part of the helmet (1) can be guided to flow into the first external flow path (11) without flowing toward the visor (4) even if it flows down along the curved surface of the helmet body (3).
[0040] Referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 together, a first inlet (23) and a second inlet (33) penetrating the sealing body (10) can be formed on one side and the other side of the first external passage (11) formed along the first wall (12).
[0041] The first inlet (23) and the second inlet (33) can be formed at both ends on the first external flow path (11), or can be formed at a position closer to the center than the both ends.
[0042] When rainwater flows on the first external passage (11), most of the rainwater flows to one side or the other side of the first external passage (11) and is discharged along the second external passage (21) or the third external passage (31), and some of the rainwater can be guided to the rear side of the gasket (2) through the first inlet (23) and the second inlet (33).
[0043] At this time, referring to FIG. 3, a first internal flow path (25) formed as a groove and communicating with the first inlet (23) may be formed on the rear surface of the sealing body (10) of the gasket (2). Accordingly, rainwater flowing into the gasket (2) through the first inlet (23) can flow to one side of the gasket (2) along the first internal flow path (25) through the first inlet (23).
[0044] As shown, a first inlet (23) and a first internal flow path (25) may be formed on the rear surface of the sealing body (10) of the gasket (2) and a second internal flow path (35) may be formed on the other side of the rear surface of the sealing body (10) so as to be symmetrical with respect to the Z-axis and communicate with a second inlet (33).
[0045] The second internal flow path (35), like the first internal flow path (25), is a flow path formed with a groove that allows rainwater flowing into the gasket (2) through the second inlet (33) to flow to the other side of the gasket (2).
[0046] Next, referring to FIGS. 2 and 3, a first outlet (27) penetrating the sealing body (10) may be formed at one end of the first internal flow path (25).
[0047] Accordingly, rainwater that has penetrated into the gasket (2) through the first inlet (23) can be discharged to the outside of the sealing body (10) through the first outlet (27) via the first internal flow path (25).
[0048] The first internal passage (25) may be formed so that the cross-sectional area increases from the first inlet (23) toward the first outlet (27) so that rainwater flowing inside can be quickly discharged toward the first outlet (27). Accordingly, when rainwater flows inside the first internal passage (25), it experiences less resistance as it approaches the first outlet (27), enabling smooth drainage.
[0049] Likewise, a second outlet (37) penetrating the sealing body (10) may be formed on the other side of the second internal flow path (35).
[0050] Accordingly, rainwater that has penetrated into the gasket (2) through the second inlet (33) can be discharged to the outside of the sealing body (10) through the second outlet (37) via the second internal flow path (35).
[0051] Likewise, the second internal passage (35) may be formed so that the cross-sectional area increases from the second inlet (33) toward the second outlet (37) so that rainwater flowing inside can be quickly discharged toward the second outlet (37). Accordingly, when rainwater flows inside the second internal passage (35), it experiences less resistance as it approaches the second outlet (37), enabling smooth drainage.
[0052] Referring to Fig. 2, a second external flow path (21) may be formed in an up-and-down direction at one end of the first external flow path (11), that is, at the end on the negative side of the x-axis when viewed from Fig. 2, so that the flowing fluid is guided downward. The second external flow path (21) may be formed as a groove provided on the front surface of the sealing body (10).
[0053] At this time, the first outlet (27) described above is provided on the second external flow path (21), so that the fluid that flows into the first inlet (23) and through the first internal flow path (25) can flow out through the first outlet (27) and out to the lower side of the gasket (2) through the second external flow path (21).
[0054] At this time, a first blocking plate (24) formed by protruding one end of the first wall (12) outward and extending downward may be placed at the point where the first external flow path (11) and the second external flow path (21) meet.
[0055] The first blocking plate (24) can block between the first outlet (27) and the first external passage (11) to prevent fluid flowing into one end of the first external passage (11) from flowing into the first outlet (27).
[0056] Additionally, a second wall (22) extending outward along the second external passage (21) may be formed on the front side of the second external passage (21) to block fluid flowing along the second external passage (21) from flowing into the facial opening of the helmet (1).
[0057] At this time, the second wall (22) can be formed to be spaced apart from the first wall (12) by a predetermined distance, so that when a helmet (1) user moves forward while wearing the helmet (1), air flowing in between the first wall (12) and the second wall (22) can hit the first blocking plate (24) and flow downward along the second external flow path (21).
[0058] This flow of air can accelerate the flow of fluid flowing on the second external path (21) to facilitate the discharge of the fluid.
[0059] Referring to Fig. 2, a third external flow path (31) may be formed in an up-and-down direction at the other end of the first external flow path (11), that is, at the end on the positive direction side of the x-axis when viewed from Fig. 2, so that the flowing fluid is guided downward. The third external flow path (31) may be formed as a groove provided on the front surface of the sealing body (10).
[0060] At this time, the second outlet (37) described above is provided on the third external flow path (31), so that the fluid that flows into the second inlet (33) and through the second internal flow path (35) can flow out through the second outlet (37) and out to the lower side of the gasket (2) through the third external flow path (31).
[0061] At this time, a second blocking plate (34) formed by protruding the other end of the first wall (12) outward and extending downward may be placed at the point where the first external flow path (11) and the third external flow path (31) meet.
[0062] The second blocking plate (34) can block between the second outlet (37) and the first external passage (11) to prevent the fluid flowing to the other end of the first external passage (11) from flowing into the second outlet (37).
[0063] Additionally, a third wall (32) extending outward along the third external passage (31) may be formed on the front side of the third external passage (31) to block fluid flowing along the third external passage (31) from flowing into the facial opening of the helmet (1).
[0064] At this time, the third wall (32) can be formed to be spaced apart from the first wall (12) by a predetermined distance, so that when a helmet (1) user moves forward while wearing the helmet (1), air flowing in between the first wall (12) and the third wall (32) can hit the second blocking plate (34) and flow downward along the third external passage (31).
[0065] This flow of air can accelerate the flow of fluid flowing on the third external path (31) to facilitate the discharge of the fluid.
[0066] As shown in Fig. 2, an adhesive material is applied to the rear surface of the sealing body (10) so that the gasket (2) can be attached to the helmet body (3). In this case, the adhesive material may be applied to the entire rear surface of the sealing body (10), or may be applied only to the first adhesive surface (26) and the second adhesive surface (36) formed as part of the sealing body (10).
[0067] The two ends of the sealing body (10) may be configured with a first adhesive surface (26) and a second adhesive surface (36) so that the gasket (2) can be smoothly combined with other components of the helmet body (3), and at this time, the first adhesive surface (26) and the second adhesive surface (36) may be formed in a shape corresponding to a part of the helmet body (3) to be adhered.
[0068] The first adhesive surface (26) and the second adhesive surface (36) can be formed to have a sufficient area for the gasket (2) to be stably attached to the helmet body (3).
[0069] At this time, referring to FIG. 4, a first sealing member (29) capable of covering the first internal passage (25) may be placed on a portion of the rear surface of the gasket (2) where the first internal passage (25) is located.
[0070] Likewise, a second sealing member (39) capable of covering the second internal passage (35) may be placed on a portion of the rear surface of the gasket (2) where the second internal passage (35) is located.
[0071] The first sealing member (29) and the second sealing member (39) may be provided as films attached along the edges of the first internal passage (25) and the second internal passage (35) formed on the rear surface of the sealing body (10).
[0072] An adhesive material for attachment to the helmet body (3) may be applied to the rear surfaces of the first sealing member (29) and the second sealing member (39).
[0073] Since the first sealing member (29) and the second sealing member (39) are provided, the first internal passage (25) and the second internal passage (35) and the adhesive surface are separated, so that the fluid flowing inside the first internal passage (25) and the second internal passage (35) can be prevented from flowing into the adhesive surface and reducing the adhesive strength.
[0074] A helmet (1) having a gasket (2) attached and having the above configuration effectively seals the gap between the helmet body (3) and the visor (4), thereby stably protecting the user inside from foreign substances despite changes in the external environment, such as rain.
[0075] In addition, a helmet (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention has a first wall (12) on a gasket (2) to prevent fluid flowing along the surface of the helmet body (3) from flowing into the face opening and to induce the flow of fluid for smooth drainage.
[0076] In addition, the helmet (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention can smoothly flow fluid within the first external passage (11), the first internal passage (25), and the second internal passage (35) by utilizing the flow of air flowing from the front side of the helmet (1) to the helmet (1) when the user moves forward, thereby enabling rapid discharge of external fluid such as rainwater.
[0077] In addition, the helmet (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention controls the flow of fluid due to the structure and arrangement of the first wall (12), the second wall (22), the third wall (32), the first blocking plate (24), and the second blocking plate (34), thereby preventing external fluid from flowing into the facial opening while enabling effective discharge of the fluid.
[0078] In addition, the helmet (1) according to one embodiment of the present invention has a first sealing member (29) and a second sealing member (39) so as to stably protect the adhesive material from the fluid despite the fluid flowing, and additionally secure an adhesive area so that the helmet (1) can stably protect the user from the external fluid even in extreme environments and with long-term use.
[0079] Although one embodiment of the present invention has been described above, the spirit of the present invention is not limited to the embodiment presented in this specification, and a person skilled in the art who understands the spirit of the present invention will be able to easily propose other embodiments by adding, changing, deleting, or adding components within the scope of the same spirit, but this will also be considered to fall within the spirit of the present invention.
