Abstract

The present patent application relates to a mobile coupling mechanism of an external mechanical position indicator used in a load tap changer or OLTC (on load tap changer). The mobile, self-aligning coupling mechanism for actuating the mechanical position indicator eliminates the need for the operator to dismantle the mechanism for adjustments or maintenance, as well as performing self-adjustment between the actuating gears, absorbing small assembly deviations.

Description

MOBILE COUPLING MECHANISM OF THE EXTERNAL MECHANICAL POSITION INDICATOR Field of invention

[0001] This invention patent application concerns a mobile coupling mechanism for the external mechanical position indicator used in an on-load tap changer, with direct drive through gears, used to change taps of an electrical winding, without the need to disconnect them. Fundamentals of the invention

[0002] An On-Load Tap Changer (OLC), also known as a tap changer or On-Load Tap Changer (LTC), is a device that varies the turns ratio of a transformer or autotransformer winding, regulating the operating voltage. It is designed to change the tap position and vary the transformer or autotransformer's transformation ratio while it is energized and under load, performing this function without requiring an interruption to the power supply.

[0003] The mechanical position indicator is the most direct way to externalize the tap position (TAP) indication of the tap changer. In the state of the art, the indicator consists of a dial indicator installed externally on the transformer, with hands and markings that display the current tap changer position. The indicator is connected to a system consisting of flexible cables and gears or chains, connected directly to the CDC, transferring the CDC's movement to the position indicator. If there is a need to synchronize the tap position displayed by the position indicator and the CDC, disassembly will be necessary. partial replacement of the drive system by decoupling the CDC and indicator devices. The solution presented allows for position synchronization between devices without the need for disassembly, in addition to promoting self-adjustment between the drive gears, absorbing small assembly deviations. [0053] The control device, upon detecting a voltage variation in the line, sends the necessary signal for the switch (100) to change the tap in order to regulate the line voltage. The switching direction can be to increase or decrease and is defined by the direction of rotation that the control device commands to the motor (170). The shaft (170.6) of the motor (170) is coupled to the gear (170.8) that moves a rotation amplifier system composed of the gears (160) and (150). The gear (150) has in its body a pin / roller (150.12) that acts as a driver for the genoa wheel (140.1).

[0054] The genoa wheel (140.1) of the assembly (140) is driven as the gear (150) rotates and the pin / roller (150.12) comes into contact with the fittings (140.1 a - r) when the pin / roller (150.12) is no longer in contact with the fittings (140.1 a - r) of the genoa wheel (140.1), the item (150.13) of the gear (150) supports the genoa wheel (140.1) in its fittings (140.2 a - r). Each complete rotation of the gear (150) results in a drive cycle.

[0055] The genoa wheel (140.1) of the assembly (140) acts as a coupling between the movement of the motor transmission (170) and the movement of the assembly (130). The assemblies (140) and (130) have coupled shafts so that when the gear (150) makes a complete turn, the assembly (130) has a given rotation angle. This rotation angle causes the brushes of the moving contacts (280) and (290) to move and alternate between the fixed contacts, thus enabling different combinations of positions. This allows the taps to alternate according to the voltage variation readings that the control device performs on the line.

[0056] During the transition movement of the taps, there is movement of the gear (140.2) of the assembly (140). The pinion (190.6) is engaged with the gear (140.2). The bearing (190.1) supports the shaft (190.7) of the pinion (190.6). In this way, the assembly (190) is able to transfer the movement of the internal mechanism of the switch (100) to the external position indicator, moving the pointer (350.2) of the indicator (350), as can be seen in figure 37, in which the term "INST" refers to the instantaneous indication of the position. As shown in figure 36 b, the helical springs (1 10.36 a - b) play the role of keeping the assemblies (190) and (140) coupled. This coupling occurs through the continuous contact generated by the springs (110.36 a - b) between the gears (360.1) and (140.2).

[0057] The use of helical springs (110.36 a - b) makes it possible to couple and uncouple the assemblies (190) and (140) manually, enabling adjustments without the need for disassembly. It also allows for the absorption of small assembly deviations and dimensions of the parts, promoting self-adjustment between the gears. The synchronization between the position indicator and the current position of the tap changer (100) is essential for the operator during switching operations, removal and commissioning of the transformer, and during inspections to validate the correct operation of the transformer and its control devices, since, together with other indications, it provides the operator with security regarding the position of the CDC. In the state of the art, the coupling mechanism is designed in such a way that partial disassembly of the system is necessary to perform position synchronization between the CDC and the indicator. The helical springs (110.36 a - b) allow the maintainer to simply manually exert force on the assembly (190) to disengage the items (360.1) and (140.2), turning the shaft of the assembly (190) in order to synchronize the indication of the pointer (350.2) with the current tap of the switch (100) and re-engage items (360.1) and (140.2) with the mechanism properly synchronized.

[0058] To support the operator by providing redundancy in confirming the current position, tap, the CDC is equipped with a resistive sensor that provides the control devices with an electrical signal that allows the identification of the current position, the position sensor, which is composed of the resistive divider (180) and the rotor (340). The rotor (340) is coupled to the Genova wheel (140.1) so that, during a drive cycle, the pin (340.2 b) moves and alternates between the contacts (180.2 a - q). Meanwhile, the pin (340.2 a) always moves in contact with the conductive track. (180.3). Each combination of the pin (340.2 b) with the respective contact (180.2 a - q) results in different levels of electrical resistance, allowing the control devices to identify and display the current position of the CDC to the operator.

[0059] Thus, a person skilled in the art, when faced with the switch (100) of the present invention, understands that the advantages compared to the state of the art are: - self-adjustment between the drive gears, absorbing small assembly deviations. - possibility of synchronizing the switch position with the external position indicator without the need for total or partial disassembly of the mechanism. Conclusion

[0060] As can be inferred from the description above, the switch (100) of the present invention surpasses state-of-the-art solutions, presenting advantages over state-of-the-art switches, perfectly susceptible to industrial application, which presents a new arrangement, involving inventive activity and resulting in functional improvement in its use.
