Cooling methods

A superconducting system comprises a superconducting coil (3) mounted in a support (12). The coil is surrounded by a cryogen chamber (17) which is located radially outwardly from the coil (3) on the other side of the support (12). The cryogen chamber is in fluid communication with a cryogen recondensing unit (33) whereby vaporized cryogen may flow from the cryogen chamber (17) to the cryogen recondensing unit (33) to be recondensed in use before returning to the cryogen chamber. Thermally conductive means (25) is arranged to facilitate heat transfer from the superconducting coil (3) to the cryogen chamber (17) to vaporize cryogen contained therein in use and thereby remove heat from the coil. The thermally conductive means (25) is highly thermally conductive at cryogenic temperatures. In use, the highly thermally conductive means (25) facilitates transfer of heat from the coil (3) to the interior of the cryogen chamber (17) to vaporize cryogen located therein. A thermal conduction path is therefore used to transfer heat from the coil to the cryogen in the cryogen chamber. Cryogen vaporized in the cryogen chamber then flows to the cryogen recondensing unit (33) to be recondensed before returning to the chamber, while the vaporized cryogen acts as the heat transfer medium over the longer distance between the cryogen chamber and the recondensing unit.

Transformer heat exchanger adopting evaporation cooling technique

A transformer heat exchanger adopts the evaporative cooling technology, wherein transformer oil (80) enters into an oil chamber (85) through an oil inlet flange (110), and then flows out from an oil outlet flange (70) after exchanging heat with evaporating liquid (90) through a metal heat exchange tube (20), the evaporating liquid (90) is filled into a space which is formed by a liquid-collecting space (50) and the metal heat exchange tube (20), then is continuously heated up by heat transformer oil (80), and can absorb heat energy after boiling and vaporizing to generate phase change, thereby realizing the purposes of heat absorbing and cooling. Evaporating liquid steam which is generated through vaporizing upwards enters into a gas-collecting space (120) through the metal heat exchange tube (20), flows out the heat exchanger through a gas outlet flange (130), regenerates the phase change into liquid through the secondary cooling, and then returns to the liquid-collecting space (50) through a pipe, thereby finishing the circulation. The invention can increase the heat exchange efficiency, can not generate the transformer insulation accidents, even if the evaporating liquid leaks into the transformer oil owing to the higher electric insulation level of the evaporating liquid, thereby avoiding safety hidden dangers caused by the accident.

Intelligent control method and intelligent control device of transformer cooling system

The invention discloses an intelligent control method and an intelligent control device of a transformer cooling system. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the cooling oil temperature and the load current value of the upper layer and the lower layer of a transformer; determining the group number, the table number and the time of a start/ stop cooler; starting/ stopping at least one oil pump; starting/ stopping at least one fan in a delay mode; detecting the current of the oil pump and the fan; entering a device debug mode; and recording events. The device comprises a DSP and ARM double-core hardware platform, wherein a DSP plate comprises a cooling oil temperature data acquisition and analysis module, an oil pump motor current data acquisition and processing module, an oil pump motor control module, a fan motor current data acquisition and processing module and a fan motor control module; and the ARM plate comprises a user interface, a communication module and a data storage module. The invention combines control, relay protection, real-time monitoring and diagnosis as a whole, has more intelligent on-line real-time control, can define and configure the parameter of the transformer cooling system, improves the production efficiency and saves the operation and maintenance cost of the transformer.

Circulation cold air apparatus for high voltage frequency conversion equipment

A cycle cold wind device used in the high pressure frequency conversion device, includes a high pressure frequency conversion device cabinet for the cooling process to the heating components in the cabinet, a heat exchange cabinet for the separating cool to the hot air by the water in the disk pipeline, an air intake connecting channel for delivering the hot air discharged from the high pressure frequency conversion device into the air inlet of the heat exchange cabinet, and an air outtake connecting channel for delivering the cold air discharged from the heat exchange cabinet into the air inlet of the high pressure frequency conversion device. The device is changed into the sealing door from the traditional high pressure frequency conversion device, then is added with a heat exchange cabinet and two vent channels, thereby better solving the defect on the heat radiation of the high pressure frequency conversion device, with the advantage of simple structure, practicality, low cost of the manufacture, the use and the maintenance, long service life and marked efficacy.
