The present invention generally relates to a device for applying a pulsating pressure to a local region of the body and applications thereof. The device may be used to increase the blood flow in a local region of the body, and in preferred embodiments provides a device for regulating the core body temperature of a patient.

The invention discloses a high-nickel ternary positive electrode material with monocrystal morphology and a preparation method of the high-nickel ternary positive electrode material. The preparation method comprises the following steps of (1) mixing a soluble nickel salt, a soluble cobalt salt, a soluble manganese salt, a precipitant and a complexing agent, and performing heating reaction to obtain a precursor; (2) mixing the precursor, a lithium compound and a doping metal compound, and sintering in an oxygen atmosphere to obtain a base material; (3) mixing the base material and a detergent,performing stirring, centrifuging and drying, and uniformly mixing with a coating agent to obtain a coated product; and (4) sintering the coated product to obtain the high-nickel ternary positive electrode material with monocrystal morphology. The present invention provides a device for enhancing circulation by intermittently tightening and relaxing a closure encircling a limb. The present invention provides a torsional energy control assembly and method for eliminating slip-stick and/or drill bit oscillations comprising axial and/or rotational oscillations. In one preferred embodiment, the assembly permits slippage between an upper portion of the drilling string and a lower portion of a drill string. The rotational control assembly may be installed at any desired position in the drill string. The rotational control assembly could also be utilized as a component of other drilling mechanisms such as a downhole drilling motor. In general, the use of a flow-through anode—coupled with an effective electrolyte circulation system—enables the efficient and cost-effective operation of a copper electrowinning system employing the ferrous/ferric anode reaction at a total cell voltage of less than about 1.5 V and at current densities of greater than about 26 Amps per square foot (about 280 A/m²), and reduces acid mist generation. Furthermore, the use of such a system permits the use of low ferrous iron concentrations and optimized electrolyte flow rates as compared to prior art systems while producing high quality, commercially saleable product (i.e., LME Grade A copper cathode or equivalent), which is advantageous.
