The invention discloses a preparation method of low-carbon-content high-purity
quartz sand, which comprises the following steps: carrying out
alkaline hydrolysis and
drying on organosilane to obtain alkaline xerogel, putting the alkaline xerogel into a
quartz tube of a rotary
tube furnace, starting the furnace body, adjusting the rotation rate, heating to a specific low temperature, and introducing
nitrogen to replace air; introducing
oxygen, controlling the pressure, carrying out oxidation reaction, relieving the pressure to normal pressure after the reaction, pumping and discharging the product, and repeating the oxidation and pumping steps for many times until the
tail gas
carbon dioxide reaches the standard; raising the temperature, introducing
chlorine-containing gas for purification, finally raising the temperature to a
sintering temperature, and
sintering in an
air atmosphere to obtain the low-carbon-content high-purity
quartz sand. According to the preparation method, the
energy consumption and the equipment cost of the carbon
removal procedure are greatly reduced, the specific surface area and the densification performance of the subsequent high-purity quartz sand product can be guaranteed, and a technical path which is low in
energy consumption, high in efficiency and capable of giving consideration to the product performance is provided for industrial preparation of the high-purity quartz sand through a
sol-
gel method.
