813 results about "Accelerated aging" patented technology

Accelerated aging is testing that uses aggravated conditions of heat, humidity, oxygen, sunlight, vibration, etc. to speed up the normal aging processes of items. It is used to help determine the long-term effects of expected levels of stress within a shorter time, usually in a laboratory by controlled standard test methods. It is used to estimate the useful lifespan of a product or its shelf life when actual lifespan data is unavailable. This occurs with products that have not existed long enough to have gone through their useful lifespan: for example, a new type of car engine or a new polymer for replacement joints.

Carbon monoxide (CO) microsir sensor system

InactiveUS20080173817A1Different in diameterDifferent in structureRadiation pyrometryAnalysis using chemical indicatorsDual sensorReservoir system
The present invention provides very small low cost apparatus and method for determining the concentration and / or hazard from a target gas by means of optically monitoring one or more sensors that responds to carbon monoxide. The apparatus comprises a photon source optically coupled to the sensor and the photon intensity passing through the sensor is quantified by one or more photodiode(s) in a system, so that the photon flux is a function of at least one sensor's response to the target gas, e.g., transmits light through the sensor to the photodiode. The photocurrent from the photodiode is converted to a sensor reading value proportional to the optical characteristics of the sensors and is loaded into a microprocessor or other logic circuit. In the microprocessor, the sensor readings may be differentiated to determine the rate of change of the sensor readings and the total photons absorbed value may be used to calculated the CO concentration. There are a number of methods to compute the CO hazard and these is subject of another patent to be filed. In addition, a preferred method to meet the BSI and European CO Standards is described using two sensor systems with two different sensors each having different sensitivity within one housing. The single housing dual sensor uses one LED and two photodiodes. The novel two sensors method to meet the European (BSI) CO standard is similar to the method developed to meet the Japanese standard. The major advantages of MICROSIR over SIR are: 1. Lower cost (estimates saving of US$1.25 per sensor, 2. Better controlled gas path therefore more accurate and more precision, 3. Better getter system therefore longer life (as shown by ammonia accelerated age tests), and 4. Better RESERVOIR SYSTEM THEREFORE BETTER humidity CONTROL AT BOTH LOW AND HIGH (as shown by sensor response curves).5. The MICROSIR Edgeview is faster and meets the Japanese standard for CO and the European Standard for CO enhanced smoke, 6. More easily automated as the board of alarms use surface mount and MICROSIR is a surface mount part that attaches over surface mounted optics after the soldering, 7. small size, and 8. approved UL recognized component. The MICROSIR device can also be used to detect the CO, which may be combined with temperature and smoke in a very small package. The detection of one or more indicators such as smoke and CO; increases the sensitivity of the other indicators. Combining signals produces an improved fire detector comprising a CO sensor and a smoke sensor in one unit. The smoke detection sensor may be either ionization or photoelectric either or both may be combined with the CO sensor to provide earlier warning to fire and reduce false alarms.

Vacuum eutectic welding method

The invention belongs to a micro-electronic encapsulation technology and specifically relates to a vacuum eutectic welding method. The method comprises the following steps: reducing gas formic acid vapor or hydrogen is introduced during a vacuum eutectic welding process, so as to reduce an oxidized welding material on a surface layer of a preformed welding material sheet and reduce the oxidized dreg of a welded surface; during a heating process, nitrogen is introduced and the heating rate is increased, so as to shorten the eutectic time and avoid the efficacy loss caused by chip over-welding or high-temperature accelerated ageing; and vacuumizing is carried out during an eutectic process, so as to reduce and even avoid voidage of the welded surface, increase the penetration rate of the chip and reduce the contact resistance and thermal resistance. According to the invention, the problem of the oxidized dreg on the welded surface caused by the oxidation of the surface layer of the welding material sheet in the prior art is overcome; the demand on storage conditions of the welding material sheet is reduced; the eutectic time is shortened; the efficacy loss caused by chip over-welding or high-temperature accelerated ageing is avoided; the void ratio is reduced; and the vacuum eutectic welding method has the characteristics of high reliability, high yield and low cost.

System and method for the photodynamic treatment of burns, wounds, and related skin disorders

Human and mammalian skin undergoes a variety of changes associated with chronological aging. Various environmental factors, disease states and genetic disorders may accelerate both the appearance of aging skin and also the structural and functional changes associated with aging skin. Ultraviolet radiation from the sun is one of the classic known and well-defined means of accelerating or worsening the aging of the skin and this is frequently termed photoaging. Other environmental factors, such as oxidative stress, free radicals, environmental toxins such as ozone and cultural customs or habits such as tobacco smoking are other known probe accelerators in photo aging skin. A wide variety of other factors known and unknown contribute to accelerated or premature aging of the skin. This invention discusses methods where electromagnetic radiation, in particular, light, can be used to photobiomodulate the activity of living cells to delay, diminish, retard or even reverse the structural and functional effects of aging of the skin and other living cells and tissues. In particular methods described for improving the appearance, structure, function of aging skin, including up and down regulating the genotypic markers for the phenotype of aging skin.

The invention relates to a life prediction method based on a lithium-ion battery aging model. The method comprises the steps that (1) the capacity retention ratio of a lithium battery in a 50% SOC state after storage suspension under different temperature and the value, which changes along with storage time, of direct-current internal resistance of the battery are tested; (2) the battery in different voltage states is stored for the same time under the same temperature, and alternating-current impedance testing and direct-current internal resistance testing are performed; (3) the correlation between calendar life capacity attenuation, alternating-current internal resistance changing and direct-current internal resistance changing and temperature and voltage is analyzed, and the changing process of experimental aging data over time is described through a fitting function; and (4) the model is analyzed according to fitted data, measured effective data is fitted, and battery calendar lifeand battery internal resistance parameters in the future are effectively predicted. Through the method, a truthful life state can be inferred from an accelerated aging test, the test method is simple, advanced equipment and complicated operation are not needed, and the test cycle is greatly shortened.
