[0036] To provide a clearer understanding of the above-mentioned objectives, features and advantages of the present disclosure, the solutions of the present disclosure will be further described below. It should to be noted, where not in conflict, the embodiments of the present disclosure and the features in these embodiments may be combined with each other.

[0037] In the following description, many specific details are set forth so as to provide a full understanding of the present disclosure. However, it is evident that the disclosure can beimplemented in ways other than those described here. The embodiments in the description are only some of the embodiments of the present disclosure, not all of the embodiments.

[0038] Reference is made to FIG. 1. FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a fire protection system for energy storage batteries provided in some embodiments of the present disclosure. The fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100 provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an energy storage module 1 , a storage module 2, a discharge module 3, a conveyance module 4 and a control module 5. The control module 5 may include a controller 51 . The controller 51 is electrically connected to the storage module 2, the discharge module 3 and the conveyance module 4 respectively. Thus, by controlling the storage module 2, the discharge module 3 and the conveyance module 4 through the controller 51 , the automation level of the fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100 can be improved.

[0039] The energy storage module 1 has an accommodating space 11. Specifically, the accommodating space 11 may be formed by the enclosure of the housing of the energy storage module 1 . The energy storage module 1 may be formed in shapes such as a cube, a cylinder, etc., and the present disclosure is not limited thereto. The accommodating space 11 may be a completely closed space, or the accommodating space 1 1 may be a partially closed or completely open space. For example, the accommodating space 11 may have an opening that externally communicates with the energy storage module 1 .

[0040] A plurality of batteries 12 may be provided in the accommodating space 11. For example, the energy storage module 1 may be in an area involved in the production process of the batteries 12, such as workshops, loading and unloading platforms, test pin beds, warehouses, storage locations, shelves, racks, or test lines. The energy storage module 1 may also be an area where the batteries 12 are in use, such as energy storage boxes, energy storage cabinets, etc.

[0041] Here, the phrase “a plurality of batteries” refers to two or more batteries 12. The plurality of batteries 12 may be arranged at intervals in the accommodating space 11 .

[0042] It should be noted that the batteries 12 may be batteries in production, under testing, undergoing charging or discharging, in a state of rest, in formation or pre-formation stages, or in storage, etc.

[0043] The storage module 2 is provided outside the energy storage module 1 , that is, the storage module 2 is located in an external space. As a result, the problem of the storage module 2 being unable to provide fire-extinguishing means normally due to a fire occurring in the energy storage module 1 can be avoided, thus improving the reliability of the storage module 2, and also ensuring the fire protection capability of the fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100.

[0044] The storage module 2 includes a storage container 21 . The storage container 21 is used to store carbon dioxide. Specifically, carbon dioxide stored in the storage container 21 may be solid carbon dioxide, liquid carbon dioxide or gaseous carbon dioxide. The storage capacity may be designed according to the amount of carbon dioxide required for fire protection by the energy storage module 1 . For example, 20 tons of carbon dioxide can be stored in the storage container 21 .

[0045] The conveyance module 4 may include a conveying pipeline 41. One end of the conveying pipeline 41 communicates with the storage container 21 . Consequently, carbon dioxide stored in the storage container 21 can be introduced into the conveying pipeline 41.

[0046] The discharge module 3 may be connected to the other end of the conveying pipeline 41 . The discharge module 3 may include a dry ice generator 31 . One end of the dry ice generator 31 may be connected to the conveying pipeline 41. Consequently, gaseous carbon dioxide or liquid carbon dioxide flowing from the storage container to the conveying pipeline 41 can be converted into solid carbon dioxide by the dry ice generator 31.

[0047] The discharge module 3 may also include a discharging member 32. The discharging member 32 may communicate with the dry ice generator 31. Consequently, when the dry ice generator 31 is working, the discharging member 32 can discharge solid carbon dioxide. When the dry ice generator 31 stops working, the discharging member 32 can directly discharge carbon dioxide stored in the storage container 21 , such as gaseous carbon dioxide or solid carbon dioxide.

[0048] Specifically, under the control of the controller 51 , the discharging member 32 can increase the concentration of carbon dioxide in the energy storage module 1 to the minimum fire-extinguishing concentration within a pre-set time (for example, 60 seconds), and can maintain a pre-set fire-extinguishing time as needed.

[0049] The discharging member 32 may be provided in the accommodating space 11 , or may be located on one side of the batteries 12. As a result, the discharging member 32 can discharge carbon dioxide to the batteries 12 from outside the batteries.

[0050] The spraying member 32 may also be located inside the batteries 12. As a result, the discharging member 32 can spray carbon dioxide to the batteries 12 from the inside of the batteries, which is beneficial to improving the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100.

[0051] The discharging member 32 may also be located both outside and within the batteries 12. Consequently, the discharging member 32 can not only discharge carbon dioxide to the batteries from within the batteries 12, but also discharge carbon dioxide to the batteries from the outside of the batteries 12, thus further improving the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100.

[0052] As a result, when the dry ice generator 31 operates, the discharging member 32 can discharge solid carbon dioxide, which can cover the surface of the batteries 12, forming a carbon dioxide dry ice layer on the surface of the batteries 12. The carbon dioxide dry ice layer can directly freeze the burning batteries 12, and can also isolate the batteries 12, so that the spread of fire can be prevented, thus improving the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100. Solid carbon dioxide, compared to clean gases used in related technologies, can last longer Additionally, solid carbon dioxide can also avoid damage to the batteries 12, reducing the loss to users and thereby improving their user experience. Furthermore, since solid carbon dioxide can return to the external environment after the energy storage module 1 is ventilated, the energy storage module 1 can resume operation immediately after the fire is extinguished.

[0053] It should be noted that the discharging member 32 may be fixed in the accommodating space 11 , or the discharging member 32 may also move in the accommodating space 11 .

[0054] In the fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure, the dry ice generator 31 of the discharge module 3 communicates with the storage container 21 of the storage module 2 through the conveying pipeline 41 , and the discharging member 32 communicates with the dry ice generator 31 . As a result, when a fire occurs in the energy storage module 1 , the controller 51 of the control module 5 can control the discharging member 32 to discharge carbon dioxide in thestorage container 21 . It is also possible to control the dry ice generator 31 to produce solid carbon dioxide, the solid carbon dioxide discharged by the discharging member 32 can cover the burning batteries 12, forming a layer of dry ice on the batteries 12, and can isolate the batteries 12 while extinguishing the fire on the batteries 12. Thus, the spread of the fire can be prevented, and the re-ignition of the extinguished batteries 12 can also be prevented, thus improving the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100. Besides, solid carbon dioxide can also avoid damage to the batteries 12, and solid carbon dioxide can return to the external enviroment after the energy storage module 1 is ventilated, so that the loss of users can be reduced, thus improving user experience. In addition, carbon dioxide discharged by the fire protection system 100 does not cause pollution to the environment, thereby improving the environmental protection capabilities of the fire protection system 100.

[0055] Referring again to FIG. 1 , in some embodiments, the fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100 may further include a moving assembly. The moving assembly is movably provided in the accommodating space 11. The discharging member 32 is connected to the moving assembly. Therefore, the discharging member 32 can move together with the moving assembly, and thus can be moved to a designated location according to the requirements of the fire protection system 100thus improving the accuracy of fire extinguishing of the fire protection system 100.

[0056] For example, the moving assembly may include a guide rail, a moving member and a driving motor. The moving member is slidably connected to the guide rail. The driving motor drives the moving member to slide on the guide rail, and the discharging member 32 may be connected to the moving member. Therefore, when the moving member moves, it can drive the discharging member 32 to move.

[0057] Refering again to FIG. 1 , in some embodiments, the fire protection system 100 may further include a detection module 6. The detection module 6 may be electrically connected to the controller 51 of the control module 5. The control module 5 includes a detector 61. The detector 61 is provided in the accommodating space 11 . Specifically, the detector 61 may detect one or more of carbon monoxide, hydrogen, smoke, temperature, spark flame or oxygen in the energy storage module 1. The detector 61 may transmit the detection results to the controller 51. According to the detection results of the detector 61 , the controller 51 may control whether the discharging member 32 discharges carbon dioxide. As a result, by incorporating the detection module 6, various fire-related information within the energy storage module 1 can be promptly detected, thereby enhancing the ability ofthe fire protection system 100 to prevent or detect fires. This enables the fire protection system 100 to prevent or promptly dispense carbon dioxide at the location of a fire.

[0058] Continuing with FIG. 1 , in some embodiments, the fire protection system of energy storage batteries 100 may further include an exhaust pressure relief module 7. The exhaust pressure relief module 7 is electrically connected to the controller 51 of the control module 5. The exhaust and pressure relief module 7 may be provided outside the energy storage module 1 and in communication with the accommodating space 11 in the energy storage module 1. Specifically, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may be provided on the exterior surface of the energy storage module 1. Since the exhaust pressure relief module 7 communicates with the accommodating space 11 in the energy storage module 1 , in case the pressure value in the energy storage module 1 exceeds a pre-set pressure value, the controller 51 can control the exhaust pressure relief module 7 to discharge the gas in the accommodating space 11 into the external space of the energy storage module 1 , thereby reducing the pressure in the energy storage module 1 .

[0059] By incorporating the exhaust pressure relief module 7, in case carbon monoxide, hydrogen and other flammable and explosive gases in the energy storage module 1 leak to reach a certain concentration, carbon dioxide discharged by the discharging member 32 is diluted and replaced by the exhaust pressure relief module 7, thereby making it possible to ensure the reliability and safety of the fire protection system 100, and having the function of fire and explosion prevention. Moreover, the electrical connection between the controller 51 and the exhaust pressure relief module 7 can further improve the automation of the fire protection system 100. In addition, by placing the exhaust pressure relief module 7 outside the energy storage module 1 , it prevents damage to the module in case of a fire within the energy storage module 1 , thereby ensuring the safety of using the exhaust pressure relief module 7.

[0060] For example, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may include an exhaust pressure relief device. The exhaust pressure relief device may be electrically connected to the controller 51. This allows the pressure in the energy storage module 1 to be controlled through the exhaust pressure relief device.

[0061] In some other embodiments, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may also be provided in the accommodating space 11 of the energy storage module 1 . In this way, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 can be protected by the energy storage module 1 , thus increasing the service life of the exhaust pressure relief module 7.

[0062] For example, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may be automatically turned on or off. For example, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may be electronic, which can improve the degree of automation. Alternatively, the exhaust pressure relief module 7 may be mechanical, which would not require the consumption of electrical energy.

[0063] Continuing with FIG. 1 , in some embodiments, the conveyance module 4 may further include a first valve assembly 42 and a second valve assembly 43. The first valve assembly 42 is provided on the side of the conveying pipeline 41 close to the storage module 2. The first valve assembly 42 is electrically connected to the controller 51. The first valve assembly 42 is used to control the communication between the storage container 21 and the discharge module 3. As a result, when a fire occurs in the energy storage module 1 , the controller 51 can control the first valve assembly 42 to open, allowing the storage container 21 to communicate with the discharge module 3, thereby allowing the discharge module 3 to use carbon dioxide in the storage container 21 to extinguish the fire. After the fire in the energy storage module 1 has been extinguished, the controller 51 can control the first valve assembly 42 to close, disconnecting the storage container 21 from the discharge module 3, thereby reducing the waste of carbon dioxide in the storage container 21.

[0064] The second valve assembly 43 is provided on the side of the conveying pipeline 41 close to the discharging member 32, and the second valve assembly 43 is electrically connected to the controller 51. The second valve assembly 43 is used to control the pressure and flow in the conveying pipeline 41 . Consequently, by controlling the pressure and flow rate in the conveying pipeline 41 through the second valve assembly 43, the speed and concentration of carbon dioxide discharged by the discharging member 32 can be regulated, so that the fire protection system 100 can accurately release a sufficient amount of carbon dioxide to extinguish a fire according to the size of the fire, which is thus advantageous to improve the intelligence of the fire protection system 100.

[0065] In some embodiments, the dry ice generator 31 may be provided between the first valve assembly 42 and the second valve assembly 43. As such, the dry ice generator 31 can first produce solid carbon dioxide, and then control the output of the solid carbon dioxide produced by the dry ice generator 31 through the second valve assembly 43.

[0066] Referring to FIG. 2, which is a schematic diagram of the fire protection system for energy storage batteries 100 provided in some other embodiments of the present disclosure. In some other embodiments, the dry ice generator 31 may be provided betweenthe second valve assembly 43 and the discharging member 32. As such, the flow of carbon dioxide delivered to the dry ice generator 31 can first be controlled through the second valve assembly 43, and then solid carbon dioxide can be produced by the dry ice generator 31 . Therefore, the fire protection system 100 can regulate the output amount of solid carbon dioxide produced by the dry ice generator 31 as needed.

[0067] Referring to FIG. 3, which is a schematic diagram of the fire protection system 100 provided in some other embodiments of the present disclosure. In some other embodiments, dry ice generators 31 may be provided between both the first valve assembly 42 and the second valve assembly 43, as well as between the second valve assembly 43 and the discharging member 32. This configuration allows for more precise control over the output of solid carbon dioxide.

[0068] Continuing with FIG. 3, in some embodiments, the first valve assembly 42 may include an on / off valve 421 and a one-way valve 422. The one-way valve 422 and the on / off valve 421 are both provided on the conveying pipeline 41 . Among these, the one-way valve 422 may be located between the on / off valve 421 and the storage container 21. Alternatively, the one-way valve 422 may be located on the side of the on / off valve 421 away from the storage container 21 . By providing the one-way valve 422, reverse flow of carbon dioxide in the conveying pipeline 41 can be prevented, enhancing the safety of the fire protection system 100. By providing the on / off valve 421 , communication between the storage container 21 and the conveying pipeline41 can be controlled, thereby controlling whether the discharging member 32 needs to perform continuous discharging.

[0069] For example, the on / off valve 421 may be an electronic on / off valve 421. This can enhance the degree of automation of the fire protection system 100.

[0070] Continuing with FIG. 3, in some embodiments, the storage module 2 may further include a refrigeration unit 22, a pressure-temperature controller 51 and a pressuretemperature detector 24. The refrigeration unit 22 may be used to change the state of carbon dioxide in the storage container 21. The pressure-temperature controller 23 may be used to control the temperature and pressure in the storage container 21 . The pressuretemperature detector 24 may be used to detect the temperature and pressure in the storage container 21. Consequently, when the fire protection system 100 needs liquid carbon dioxide, the pressure and temperature in the storage container 21 can be detected through the pressure-temperature detector 24, and the temperature and pressure in the storage container 21 may be changed through the refrigeration unit 22 and the pressure-temperature controller 23, so that carbon dioxide in the storage container 21 can be converted into liquid carbon dioxide. When gaseous carbon dioxide or solid carbon dioxide is needed, the state of carbon dioxide in the storage container 21 can also be changed in the above manner. The storage module 2 can supply carbon dioxide in all three states from the same source, allowing the fire protection system 100 to discharge different states of carbon dioxide as needed, enhancing the applicability of the fire protection system 100.

[0071] For example, the refrigeration unit 22, the pressure-temperature controller 23 and the pressure-temperature detector 24 may be provided on the storage container 21 , allowing for the integration of the storage module, reducing the overall size of the storage module 2.

[0072] Continuing with FIG. 3, in some embodiments, the storage module 2 may further include a storage capacity detector 25. The storage capacity detector 25 is electrically connected to the controller 51 . The storage capacity detector 25 is used to monitor the storage capacity of the storage container 21 . When the storage capacity detector 25 detects that the capacity of carbon dioxide in the storage container 21 is less than a preset capacity, it can alerts the user to check for possible leaks in the storage container 21 and to replenish carbon dioxide in time. This avoids the problem of insufficient carbon dioxide in the fire protection system 100 when extinguishing a fire, thereby ensuring the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100.

[0073] Continuing with FIG. 3, in some embodiments, the discharging member 32 may include a first discharging member 321 and a second discharging member 322. The first discharging member 321 is located at an edge of the batteries 12. The second discharging member 322 is spaced apart from the first discharging member 321 . The second discharging member 322 may be located between two adjacent batteries 12. When the fire protection system 100 extinguishes a fire, the first discharging member 321 can form a dry ice protective layer on the edge of the batteries 12, which can prevent the fire from spreading. The second discharging member 322 can extinguish fires on the adjacent batteries 12 simultaneously, expanding the extinguishing range of the discharging member 32, and thereby improving the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100.

[0074] The second discharging member 322 may also be located inside the batteries 12. Consequently, when the fire protection system 100 extinguishes fire, the second discharging member 322 can extinguish the fire from within the batteries 12, thereby enhancing the fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100.

[0075] The first discharging member 321 has a first discharging hole 3211 . The second discharging member 322 has a second discharging hole. The shape and size of the first discharging hole 3211 and the second discharging hole 3221 may be the same, which can reduce costs. The shape and size of the first discharging hole 3211 and the second discharging hole 3221 may also be different, so that the shape and size of the first discharging hole 3211 and the second discharging hole 3221 can be changed according to different arrangement positions of the first discharging member 321 and the second discharging member 322. The first discharging member 321 and the second discharging member 322 at different positions can better complete different fire protection tasks. For example, the first discharging member 321 could be responsible for isolation, and the second discharging member 322 could be responsible for extinguishing fire.

[0076] For example, the size of the first discharging hole 321 1 and the second discharging hole 3221 may be adjustable, allowing for further regulation of the output amount and form of the discharged carbon dioxide.

[0077] Continuing with FIG. 3, in some embodiments, the conveyance module 4 may further include a multi-way valve 433. The multi-way valve 433 includes a first port, a second port and a third port. The first port communicates with one or more of the second port and the third port. Specifically, the first port of the multi-way valve 433 may communicate with only the second port; alternatively, it may communicate with only the third port, or may communicate with both the second port and the third port.

[0078] The conveying pipeline 41 may include a main pipeline 411 , a first pipeline 412 and a second pipeline 413. One end of the main pipeline 411 communicates with the storage container 21 , and the other end of the main pipeline 411 is connected to the first port. One end of the first pipeline 412 communicates with the first discharging member 321 , and the other end of the first pipeline 412 communicates with the second port. One end of the second pipeline 413 communicates with the second discharging member 322, and the other end of the second pipeline 413 communicates with the third port. Specifically, when the first port communicates with the second port, the first discharging member 321 communicates with the storage container 21 , and the first discharging member 321 can discharge carbon dioxide. When the first port communicates with the third port, the second discharging member 322 communicates with the storage container 21 , and the second discharging member 322 can discharge carbon dioxide. When the first port communicates with both the second port and the third port, both the first discharging member 321 and the second discharging member 322 communicate with the storage container 21 , and both thefirst discharging member 321 and the second discharging member 322 can discharge carbon dioxide. Consequently, when the fire protection system 100 only needs to isolate, it can solely use the first discharging member 321 . When the fire protection system 100 only needs to prevent or extinguish a fire, it can solely use the second discharging member 322. When the fire protection system 100 needs to both isolate and extinguish a fire, both the first discharging member 321 and the second discharging member 322 can be used simultaneously, thereby improving the processing capability and fire protection capability of the fire protection system 100 in different situations.
