Description

Chart display method and device and computer-readable recording medium therefor

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for displaying a chart, and more particularly, to a method for displaying diagnostic values.

[0002] Dental clinics seek to manage a variety of dental tasks, from patient visits and registration to current symptoms, treatment, payments, insurance claims, and hospital management. To achieve this, dental business software can be used to provide electronic charts.

[0003] In general, the periodontal chart, which records the diagnosis values for the patient's periodontal disease, is not linked to the electronic chart, so when entering the diagnosis values for items related to periodontal disease in the electronic chart, there is an inconvenience in that the corresponding diagnosis values must be re-entered separately in the periodontal chart.

[0004] In addition, the dental information set in the dental chart of the electronic chart was not displayed in the periodontal chart, so there was a problem that it was difficult for users to identify dental information such as panic or implant through the periodontal chart.

[0005] In addition, existing periodontal charts only contain diagnostic values for periodontal disease, making it difficult to convey to patients the need for improved periodontal management through the results of the periodontal chart.

[0006] The present invention aims to provide a method and device that allows a user to perform chart input more efficiently and conveniently by linking an electronic chart and a periodontal chart and reflecting the contents of the electronic chart in the periodontal chart.

[0007] In addition, the present invention aims to provide a method and device capable of improving a patient's awareness of periodontal management by providing an image of the diagnostic value of periodontal disease entered in a periodontal chart.

[0008] A chart display method according to one embodiment of the present invention may include a step of displaying information included in an electronic chart on a periodontal chart through linkage between an electronic chart and a periodontal chart; a step of providing an input interface for receiving a diagnostic value for at least one periodontal disease among a plurality of periodontal diseases recordable in the periodontal chart; and a step of displaying the diagnostic value received through the input interface according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease and the periodontal condition of each item of the periodontal disease.

[0009] The step of displaying on the above periodontal chart can display the tooth information recorded on the tooth chart of the above electronic chart on the periodontal chart.

[0010] The step of displaying on the above periodontal chart may display diagnostic values related to the plurality of periodontal diseases included in the treatment history of the electronic chart on the periodontal chart.

[0011] The step of providing the above input interface may include activating an input area of a selected periodontal disease when at least one item of a periodontal disease is selected through the input interface, and deactivating an input area of a non-selected periodontal disease.

[0012] The step of displaying the above-mentioned distinction can display the received diagnostic values by displaying them using different types of indicators according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease.

[0013] The step of displaying the above distinction can be performed by modifying and displaying indicators of different behaviors according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease, based on the degree of the periodontal condition determined based on the received diagnostic value.

[0014] The method may further include providing a periodontal index indicating the progress of periodontal disease determined based on diagnostic values for periodontal disease received over a certain period of time.

[0015] The step of providing the above periodontal index may provide the periodontal pocket index determined using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which periodontal pockets of a certain depth or greater were identified through the periodontal pocket examinations in the form of a graph.

[0016] The step of providing the above periodontal index may provide a bleeding index determined using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which bleeding was identified through the periodontal pocket examinations in the form of a graph.

[0017] A chart display device according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: one or more processors; and a memory for loading or storing a program executed by the processor, wherein the program may include instructions for performing an operation of displaying information included in the electronic chart on the periodontal chart through linkage between the electronic chart and the periodontal chart, an operation of providing an input interface for receiving a diagnostic value for at least one periodontal disease among a plurality of periodontal diseases recordable in the periodontal chart, and an operation of displaying the diagnostic value received through the input interface according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease and the periodontal condition of each item of the periodontal disease.

[0018] The processor may display the received diagnostic values by different types of indicators according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease, and may modify and display the indicators of different behaviors displayed according to the characteristics of each item of the periodontal disease according to the degree of the periodontal condition determined based on the received diagnostic values.

[0019] The above processor can provide a periodontal index indicating the progress of periodontal disease determined based on diagnostic values for periodontal disease received over a certain period of time, based on the patient's visit date.

[0020] The above processor can provide a periodontal pocket index determined using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which periodontal pockets of a certain depth or greater were identified through the periodontal pocket examination in the form of a graph.

[0021] The above processor can provide a bleeding index determined using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which bleeding was identified through the periodontal pocket examinations in the form of a graph.

[0022] The present invention links an electronic chart and a periodontal chart, thereby reflecting the contents of the electronic chart in the periodontal chart, thereby enabling a user to perform chart input more efficiently and conveniently.

[0023] In addition, the present invention can improve a patient's awareness of periodontal management by providing the diagnostic value of periodontal disease entered in a periodontal chart as an image.

[0031] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0032] FIG. 1 is a drawing showing a chart display device according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0033] As illustrated in FIG. 1, the chart display device (100) may include one or more processors (110) and a memory (120) for loading or storing a program (130) executed by the processors (110). The components included in the chart display device (100) of FIG. 1 are merely examples, and a person skilled in the art to which the present invention pertains will recognize that other general components may be included in addition to the components illustrated in FIG. 1.

[0034] The processor (110) controls the overall operation of each component of the chart display device (100). The processor (110) may be configured to include at least one of a CPU (Central Processing Unit), an MPU (Micro Processor Unit), an MCU (Micro Controller Unit), a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), an NPU (Neural Processing Unit), a DSP (Digital Signal Processor), or any other type of processor well known in the art of the present invention. In addition, the processor (110) may perform operations for at least one application or program for executing methods / operations according to various embodiments of the present invention. The chart display device (100) may include one or more processors.

[0035] The memory (120) stores one or more combinations of various data, commands, and information used by components (e.g., processor (110)) included in the chart display device (100). The memory (120) may include volatile memory and / or non-volatile memory.

[0036] The program (130) may include one or more actions in which methods / operations according to various embodiments of the present invention are implemented, and may be stored in the memory (120) in the form of software. Here, the actions correspond to commands realized in the program (130). For example, the program (130) may include instructions for performing an action of displaying information included in an electronic chart on a periodontal chart through linkage between an electronic chart and a periodontal chart, an action of providing an input interface for receiving a diagnostic value for at least one periodontal disease among a plurality of periodontal diseases that can be recorded in a periodontal chart, and an action of displaying the diagnostic value received through the input interface by classifying it according to the periodontal disease item and the periodontal condition for each periodontal disease item.

[0037] When the program (130) is loaded into the memory (120), the processor (110) can perform methods / operations according to various embodiments of the present invention by executing a plurality of operations to implement the program (130).

[0038] The execution screen of the program (130) can be displayed through the display (140). In the case of FIG. 1, the display (140) is represented as a separate device connected to the chart display device (100). However, in the case of a chart display device (100) such as a terminal that a user can carry, such as a smartphone or tablet, the display (140) can be a component of the chart display device (100). The screen displayed on the display (140) can be before inputting information into the program or the result of the program's execution.

[0039]

[0040] FIG. 2 is a flowchart illustrating a chart display method according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0041] The chart display method illustrated in FIG. 2 is performed by the processor (110) of the chart display device (100). In step (210), the processor (110) can display information included in the electronic chart by reflecting it in the periodontal chart through linkage between the electronic chart and the periodontal chart. More specifically, the electronic chart can record diagnostic values related to periodontal disease, such as periodontal pocket measurement tests. The processor (110) identifies diagnostic values related to periodontal disease in the electronic chart, and reflects and displays the identified diagnostic values related to periodontal disease in the periodontal chart linked to the electronic chart, thereby eliminating the inconvenience of the user having to input diagnostic values twice in the electronic chart and the periodontal chart.

[0042] Additionally, electronic charts may include a dental chart that records the patient's dental history. This dental chart includes dental history information such as phalanges or implants. Existing periodontal charts do not display this type of dental history, making it difficult for users to intuitively assess a patient's periodontal status using only the existing periodontal chart.

[0043] In response to this, the processor (110) of the present invention can reflect the patient's dental information recorded in the dental chart in the electronic chart and display it on the periodontal chart through linkage between the electronic chart and the periodontal chart. For example, when a tooth number having a panic without a tooth root is identified in the dental chart, the processor (110) can display a crown design indicating the panic in the tooth number area corresponding to the panic in the periodontal chart. As another example, when a tooth number having an implant is identified in the dental chart, the processor (110) can display an implant design in the tooth number area corresponding to the implant in the periodontal chart.

[0044] In step (220), the processor (110) may provide an input interface for receiving a diagnostic value for at least one periodontal disease among a plurality of periodontal diseases recordable in a periodontal chart. More specifically, when a periodontal disease for which a diagnostic value is to be recorded among the plurality of periodontal diseases is selected, the processor (110) may activate an input area corresponding to the periodontal disease.

[0045] In addition, the processor (110) may provide an input interface, such as a separate keypad, for recording a diagnostic value in an activated input area. At this time, the processor (110) may also receive a diagnostic value through a user interface, such as a keyboard, in addition to a separate input interface, such as a keypad.

[0046] Meanwhile, the processor (110) may deactivate an input area corresponding to a periodontal disease that is not selected for recording a diagnostic value among multiple periodontal diseases.

[0047] In step (230), the processor (110) can display the diagnostic values received through the input interface according to the periodontal disease items and the periodontal status for each periodontal disease item. More specifically, the processor (110) can display the received diagnostic values on the display using different types of indicators according to the characteristics of each periodontal disease item.

[0048] For example, among periodontal diseases, periodontal pockets (pocket depth) and gingival recession are periodontal diseases that occur in the gingival sulcus between the teeth and gums, and can affect not only a single tooth but also surrounding teeth. Accordingly, the processor (110) can express diagnostic values related to periodontal pockets or gingival recession in the form of a graph, and the user or patient can identify the extent of occurrence of periodontal pockets or gingival recession across the teeth through the graph.

[0049] As another example, among periodontal diseases, bleeding is a periodontal disease caused by inflammation of the gums around the teeth. It is diagnosed using a tooth bleeding probe, and unlike periodontal pockets or gingival recession, it can affect only one tooth. Therefore, the processor (110) can express a diagnostic value related to bleeding using a separate identification mark, and the user or patient can identify the tooth where bleeding has occurred through the identification mark, and also know the exact location of the bleeding in the identified tooth.

[0050] Meanwhile, the processor (110) can display different types of indicators according to the characteristics of each periodontal disease item, modified and displayed according to the degree of periodontal condition determined based on the received diagnostic values. More specifically, the diagnostic values received for each periodontal disease item include both diagnostic values for healthy teeth that do not require treatment as well as diagnostic values for teeth in a pathological condition that require treatment.

[0051] The processor (110) can assist the user or patient to more intuitively understand the periodontal condition by modifying and displaying a portion of the indicator corresponding to the diagnostic value for a tooth in a pathological condition.

[0052] In step (240), the processor (110) can derive the progression status of periodontal disease as a periodontal index based on diagnostic values for periodontal disease received over a certain period of time, and provide the derived periodontal index based on the patient's visit date.

[0053] More specifically, the processor (110) can determine a periodontal pocket index for each visit date by using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which periodontal pockets of a certain depth or greater were identified through periodontal pocket examinations for each visit date. The processor (110) can provide objective data on periodontal disease related to the patient's periodontal pocket by linking the periodontal pocket indices determined on each visit date over a certain period of time and providing them in the form of a graph.

[0054] In addition, the processor (110) can determine a bleeding index for each visit date by using the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed and the number of teeth on which bleeding was identified through periodontal pocket examinations for each visit date. Similarly, the processor (110) can provide objective data on periodontal disease related to bleeding in the patient by linking the bleeding indices determined for each visit date over a certain period of time and providing them in the form of a graph.

[0055]

[0056] Figure 3 is a drawing showing the structure of a periodontal chart according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0057] Referring to FIG. 3, the periodontal chart (300) provided in the present invention may be composed of a periodontal disease selection area (310), a diagnosis value display area (320), and a periodontal index display area (330). First, the periodontal disease selection area (310) may display multiple recordable periodontal diseases by dividing them by item. For example, referring to FIG. 3, periodontal pockets and bleeding may be grouped and displayed as one periodontal disease item, and gingival recession and mobility may each be displayed as one periodontal disease item. Such periodontal disease items are merely an example and are not limited to the above example. At this time, among the multiple periodontal diseases displayed in the periodontal disease selection area (310), each periodontal disease item may be selected, or, if necessary, multiple periodontal disease items may be selected simultaneously.

[0058] The diagnostic value display area (320) may be divided into input areas in which diagnostic values for periodontal disease are input according to the upper and lower jaw positions and tooth surface directions of the teeth. For example, in the first input area (321), a gingival recession diagnostic value for maxillary teeth with a buccal direction tooth surface (B) indicated may be recorded. In the second input area (322), a periodontal pocket diagnostic value for maxillary teeth with a buccal direction tooth surface (B) indicated and a periodontal pocket diagnostic value for maxillary teeth with a palatal direction tooth surface (P) indicated may be recorded. In the third input area (323), a gingival recession diagnostic value for maxillary teeth with a palatal direction tooth surface (P) indicated and a gingival recession diagnostic value for mandibular teeth with a lingual direction tooth surface (L) indicated may be recorded. The fourth input area (324) can record periodontal pocket diagnosis values for mandibular teeth with a lingual direction tooth surface (L) indicated and periodontal pocket diagnosis values for mandibular teeth with a buccal direction tooth surface (B) indicated. Finally, the fifth input area (325) can record gingival recession diagnosis values for mandibular teeth with a buccal direction tooth surface (B) indicated.

[0059] At this time, the processor (110) may activate and provide only the input area corresponding to the periodontal disease item selected by the user among the plurality of periodontal disease items displayed in the periodontal disease selection area (310). For example, when a periodontal disease item in which periodontal pockets and bleeding are grouped is selected in the periodontal disease selection area (310), the processor (110) may activate only the input areas (321, 323, 325) related to periodontal pockets to change the state in which a diagnostic value can be input, and deactivate the remaining input areas (322, 324) to maintain a state in which a diagnostic value cannot be input.

[0060] In addition, when multiple periodontal disease items are selected, the processor (110) can provide more efficient and convenient chart input by activating all input areas corresponding to the selected periodontal disease items.

[0061]

[0062] FIG. 4 is a drawing showing an example of linkage between an electronic chart and a periodontal chart according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0063] The dental chart of the electronic chart (420) linked to the periodontal chart (410) may include dental information (421) for the selected teeth. The processor (110) may reflect the dental information (421) included in the dental chart in this way and display it on the linked periodontal chart (410).

[0064] For example, referring to FIG. 4, a tooth corresponding to tooth number 14 may correspond to a panicle (P) without a tooth root, and a tooth corresponding to tooth number 24 may correspond to an implant (I). If a panicle (P) without a tooth root exists in the periodontal chart, the processor (110) may display a crown design (411) on the tooth number (#14) corresponding to the panicle (P) in the periodontal chart (410). As another example, if an implant (I) exists in the periodontal chart, the processor (110) may display an implant design (412) on the tooth number (#24) corresponding to the implant (I) in the periodontal chart (410).

[0065] Meanwhile, the electronic chart (420) linked to the periodontal chart (410) may include diagnostic values (422) related to periodontal disease, such as periodontal pocket measurement tests. The processor (110) may thus reflect and display the diagnostic values (422) related to periodontal disease in the electronic chart on the linked periodontal chart (410), thereby eliminating the inconvenience of the user having to input diagnostic values twice.

[0066]

[0067] FIG. 5 is a drawing showing an example of a diagnostic value display method according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0068] As mentioned above, the processor (110) can express the diagnostic values related to periodontal pockets or gingival recession among periodontal diseases in the form of a graph. For example, referring to FIG. 5, if the periodontal disease item corresponds to a periodontal pocket, the processor (110) can express the diagnostic values for the periodontal pockets as dots of different heights according to their sizes, and can express a periodontal pocket graph (510) by connecting the displayed dots with lines. The user or patient can more intuitively understand the periodontal pocket diagnosis results for the entire teeth through the periodontal pocket graph (510) expressed in this way.

[0069] Likewise, if the periodontal disease item corresponds to gingival recession, the processor (110) can display the diagnostic value for gingival recession as points of different heights according to size, and express a gingival recession graph (520) by connecting the displayed points with lines. A user or patient can more intuitively understand the gingival recession diagnosis results for the entire tooth through the gingival recession graph (520) expressed in this way.

[0070] The processor (110) can display the periodontal pocket graph (510) and the gingival recession graph (520) separately or simultaneously, and can display them differently by using at least one of the color, thickness, transparency, and line shape (dotted line) of the graphs.

[0071] The processor (110) can express diagnostic values related to bleeding or agitation among periodontal diseases using a separate identification mark. For example, referring to FIG. 5, if the periodontal disease item corresponds to bleeding, the processor (110) can display a star-shaped identification mark (530) at the test location where bleeding occurred. Through the star-shaped identification mark (530), the user or patient can not only identify the tooth where bleeding occurred among the teeth, but also accurately determine the bleeding location of the identified tooth. At this time, the shape of the identification mark is merely an example and is not limited to the above example.

[0072] Likewise, if the item of periodontal disease corresponds to mobility, the processor (110) can display the mobility of the tooth measured through the examination with an identification mark indicating a specific stage. For example, referring to FIG. 6, the degree of tooth shaking can be classified into three stages (M+, M++, M+++), and when the stage or initialization item of mobility is selected (②) through a right-click (①) of the mouse, the processor (110) can display the selected content on the root area of the tooth (③). The user or patient can intuitively understand the diagnosis result of the mobility of the selected tooth through the identification mark indicating the stage.

[0073] Meanwhile, the processor (110) can modify and display a graph-type indicator according to the degree of periodontal condition determined based on the periodontal disease diagnosis value. For example, if the periodontal pocket depth is 3 mm or less, the processor (110) can determine that the tooth is in a healthy state requiring no treatment.

[0074] In contrast, if the periodontal pocket depth is 4 mm or more, the processor (110) can determine that it is a pathological condition requiring treatment. In this case, the processor (110) can display points and lines in areas where the periodontal pocket depth is 4 mm or more in the periodontal pocket graph in different colors, as shown in FIG. 5, thereby allowing the user or patient to more easily recognize teeth requiring periodontal pocket treatment. At this time, the modification of the periodontal pocket graph to indicate a pathological condition can also be expressed through changes in line shapes (line thickness, dotted lines, etc.) in addition to the above-mentioned color changes.

[0075]

[0076] FIG. 7 is a drawing showing an example of providing a periodontal index according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0077] The processor (110) can derive the progression status of periodontal disease as a periodontal index based on diagnostic values for periodontal disease received over a certain period of time, and provide the derived periodontal index based on the patient's visit date.

[0078] For example, the processor (110) may determine a periodontal pocket index for each visit date by dividing the number of teeth on which periodontal pockets of a certain depth or greater are identified through periodontal pocket examination on each visit date by the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed, and expressing the result as a percentage. The processor (110) may provide the periodontal pocket indexes determined on each visit date over a certain period of time in the form of a periodontal pocket index graph (710).

[0079] As another example, the processor (110) may determine a bleeding index for each visit date by dividing the number of teeth identified as bleeding through periodontal pocket examination by the total number of teeth on which periodontal pocket examinations were performed, and expressing this as a percentage. Similarly, the processor (110) may provide the bleeding indexes determined for each visit date over a certain period of time in the form of a bleeding index graph (720).

[0080] In this way, the processor (110) can provide objective data related to periodontal disease by calculating a periodontal index using statistical data from periodontal pocket examinations. This objective data can not only improve patients' awareness of periodontal management but also provide a positive perception of the hospital, contributing to long-term customer acquisition and increased profits.

[0081]

[0082] The technical idea of the present invention can be implemented as a computer-readable code on a computer-readable medium. The computer-readable recording medium can be, for example, a removable recording medium (CD, DVD, Blu-ray disc, USB storage device, removable hard disk), a fixed recording medium (ROM, RAM), a hard disk drive (HDD), or a solid-state disk (SSD). The program recorded on the computer-readable recording medium can be transmitted to another computing device via a network such as the Internet and installed on the other computing device, thereby allowing it to be used on the other computing device.

[0083] Although the embodiments of the present invention have been described with reference to the attached drawings, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the present invention can be implemented in other specific forms without changing the technical concept or essential characteristics thereof. Therefore, it should be understood that the embodiments described above are illustrative in all respects and not restrictive. The scope of protection of the present invention should be interpreted by the following claims, and all technical ideas within the scope equivalent thereto should be interpreted as being included within the scope of the technical ideas defined by the present invention.
