Description

[0001] Protective device for a tree

[0002] The invention relates to a protective device for a tree and a protective component designed for use in such a protective device.

[0003] Systems used to protect trees or tree trunks are known from the state of the art. Such systems are typically used when trees are located on or near construction sites to protect them from damage, for example, caused by construction vehicles.

[0004] Typically, wooden boards are used here, which are arranged around the tree trunk. Sometimes, additional flexible pipes are used, which are wrapped around the tree trunk between the wooden boards and the tree for further protection.

[0005] The disadvantage of the solutions known from the state of the art is that the installation of the tree protection can usually only be carried out by more than one person and the materials used for the tree protection, in particular the wooden boards, are usually only used once.

[0006] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a protective device for a tree which is inexpensive to manufacture, has simple and flexible handling and is reusable.

[0007] The object of the invention is achieved by a protective device for a tree comprising a first plurality of protective components and comprising a plurality of detachable connecting means by means of which the protective components can be detachably connected to one another in an annular arrangement.

[0008] The protective device advantageously has a modular design by providing several protective components, which can be easily and flexibly assembled thanks to the detachable connecting means. In particular, the protective device can be easily adapted to different tree sizes by selecting the appropriate number of protective elements required to cover the tree.

[0009] RGTH The protective device is designed specifically for protecting tree trunks. For this purpose, the required number of protective components are connected to one another in a row using detachable connecting elements, arranged around the tree trunk, and closed into a substantially ring-shaped or sleeve-shaped arrangement.

[0010] Preferably, the number of protective components in the first plurality of protective components can vary depending on the circumference of the tree to be protected. For example, the number can be at least five and can be substantially open at the top. Thus, the protective device can also comprise, for example, 10, 15, or 20 protective components.

[0011] In particular, the protective components are connected to each other in a chain-like manner. This means that each protective component has two adjacent protective components, particularly on the left and right, connected via the detachable connecting means.

[0012] Preferably, the detachable connecting means are designed to be flexible in order, on the one hand, to enable the ring-shaped or chain-shaped arrangement of the protective components and, on the other hand, to enable the interconnected protective components and mat-shaped protective components to be rolled up or folded.

[0013] The protective components are preferably at least partially elastic. For example, the protective components can comprise or consist of an elastic material. In particular, only some parts of the protective component can be elastic. The elasticity can advantageously improve the protection of the tree or tree trunk. However, the material of the protective components is preferably selected such that the protective components or their parts are break-resistant.

[0014] Preferably, the protective components each comprise a receiving pocket and a protective element arranged in the receiving pocket. The receiving pocket makes the protective components particularly easy to manufacture.

[0015] RGTH Preferably, the protective element is removably arranged in the receiving pocket. This advantageously makes it possible to replace the protective element, for example in the event of damage. Furthermore, differently designed protective elements can be provided, which can be optionally arranged in the receiving pocket. The protective elements can differ in particular with regard to the material and / or the protective properties, in particular their elasticity. Furthermore, it is also possible to arrange wooden boards in the receiving pockets. While the wooden boards previously used as tree protection have not been reused so far, reuse is simplified by the use of the protective device, since the wooden boards can be compactly stored and transported in the protective device.

[0016] The protective element is preferably elastic. In particular, the receiving pocket is not elastic.

[0017] The protective element preferably comprises foam, in particular polyethylene foam, or consists of foam, in particular polyethylene foam. Alternatively, the protective element can also consist of or comprise other elastic materials.

[0018] The protective component preferably has an elongated shape. For example, the protective component can be substantially rod-shaped. The protective component can preferably have an angular, in particular rectangular or square, circular, or oval cross-section. The previously described shape preferably applies to both the receiving pocket and the protective element arranged therein.

[0019] The receiving pocket preferably has an opening for the protective element. This opening can be arranged, for example, at one end of the receiving pocket.

[0020] Preferably, the detachable connecting means are arranged on a longitudinal side of the protective components. Accordingly, the protective components can be

[0021] RGTH are arranged next to each other with their long sides adjacent and are connected to each other in turn using the detachable connecting means.

[0022] The protective components preferably have a length between 1 m and 3 m, preferably between 2 m and 2.75 m, particularly preferably between 2.4 m and 2.6 m, and / or a thickness between 5 cm and 35 cm, preferably between 10 cm and 30 cm, particularly preferably between 15 and 25 cm. The protective components preferably have the same or different lengths and / or thicknesses. The thickness of the protective component refers to its extension in the circumferential direction and / or in the radial direction when viewing the protective components in an annular arrangement.

[0023] Preferably, the connecting means each comprise at least a first and a second connecting component, wherein each of the protective components comprises at least a first connecting component for connection to a second connecting component of a further protective component and at least one second connecting component for connection to a first connecting component of a still further protective component.

[0024] The first and second connecting components are particularly designed to be releasably connected to one another. Two protective components can preferably be releasably connected to one another at multiple locations. For this purpose, each of the protective components preferably has a plurality of connecting components, for example two, three, or four, configured in the manner of the first connecting component, and preferably a plurality of connecting components, for example two, three, or four, configured in the manner of the second connecting component. The plurality of similar connecting components are preferably arranged along a longitudinal side, in particular at equal spacing.

[0025] Preferably, the plurality of first connecting components are identical to one another. The same preferably applies to the plurality of second connecting components.

[0026] RGTH Preferably, the first and second connecting components are plug-in connection elements and, in particular, form a plug-in buckle. Alternatively, the connecting components can be any other type of detachable connection component, for example, hooks, eyelets, hook-and-loop fasteners, rope or strap sections for forming a knotted connection, etc.

[0027] Preferably, all protective components are designed identically with the connecting components arranged thereon. This allows the protective components to be assembled in any desired manner. Alternatively, only the connecting components of each protective component are designed identically with respect to the fact that they can be connected to the connecting components of any other protective component, and the protective elements and the receiving pockets are different, for example, with respect to their size and / or dimensions.

[0028] Preferably, the components of the protective device, in particular the receiving pockets, the protective elements and / or the detachable connecting means, are made at least partially from recycled and / or recyclable materials.

[0029] The protective device preferably comprises a root protection device that can be detachably arranged on the protective device. The root protection device can preferably be arranged on one of the end sides of the annular or sleeve-shaped protective device. The root protection device is preferably also annular or sleeve-shaped.

[0030] The protective device preferably comprises a second plurality of detachable connecting means for fastening the root protection device to the protective device. In particular, the root protection device is fastened to one or more of the protective components. The second plurality of detachable connecting means are designed in particular analogously or identically to the detachable connecting means between the individual protective components. For this purpose, the protective components preferably each comprise at least one third connecting component and the root protection device at least one fourth connecting component. The third and fourth connecting components are preferably analogously or identically to the first and second

[0031] RGTH connecting component. In particular, the third and fourth connecting components are also plug-in connection elements, in particular for forming a plug-in buckle.

[0032] The root protection device is preferably formed from a second plurality of protective components, wherein the second plurality of protective components preferably comprises more protective components than the first plurality of protective components. The protective components of the second plurality of protective components are preferably designed analogously or identically to the protective components of the first plurality of protective components. Accordingly, all of the previously described design features of the first plurality of protective components preferably apply analogously to the second plurality of protective components. The number of protective components of the root protection device is in particular greater than that of the protective device itself, since a tree generally widens downwards in the region of the roots and thus the root protection device provides sufficient surface area to cover the roots.

[0033] Preferably, the protective components of the root protection device may further have a different size and / or a different shape than the protective components of the protective device itself.

[0034] Preferably, the protective components of the root protection device can comprise a third plurality of detachable connecting means for detachably connecting them to one another to form an annular or sleeve-shaped arrangement. The third plurality of detachable connecting means is preferably designed analogously to the first or second plurality of detachable connecting means.

[0035] The object of the invention is further achieved by a protective component which is designed for use in a protective device having the aforementioned features.

[0036] In particular, the protective component is designed for use in the protective device as such and / or in the root device. In particular, the protective component comprises the connecting components of the first, second, and third detachable connecting means.

[0037] RGTH Description of the invention: task, solution, advantages

[0038] Short description of the characters

[0039] The present invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. They show:

[0040] Fig. la: a schematic view of a protective device in the rolled-out state

[0041] Fig. lb: Detailed views from Fig. la

[0042] Fig. 2a: a schematic view of the protective device arranged on the tree

[0043] Fig. 2b: a cross-sectional view of a protective component

[0044] Detailed description of the characters

[0045] Figure 1a shows a protective device 100 in the unrolled state. The protective device 100 comprises a plurality of protective components 10, which are essentially rod-shaped and arranged in a row such that longitudinal sides 12a, 12b of the individual protective components 10 are aligned parallel to one another. In the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 1a, the protective device 100 comprises ten protective components 10. The number of protective components 10 determines the width B of the protective device 100, which can be selected depending on the circumference or diameter D of the tree to be protected. In particular, the diameter D in a lower region of the tree trunk 14a of the tree 14 is crucial here (see Fig. 2a).

[0046] For easy installation of the protective device 100 and for flexible selection of the width B of the protective device 100, detachable connecting means 11 are provided, by means of which the individual protective components 10 can be detachably connected to one another to form a ring- or sleeve-shaped arrangement. The connection of two protective components 10 takes place at their two longitudinal sides 12a, 12b. For this purpose, two groups of detachable connecting means 11 are provided, which are spaced apart on

[0047] RGTH are arranged on the longitudinal sides 12a, 12b, so that the connection or fastening of two protective components 10 takes place at two points.

[0048] In Figure 1a, nine of the ten protective components 10 are already connected to one another, and a tenth protective component 10 is shown detached in the right-hand area. It can be seen that the detachable connecting means 11 comprise first and second connecting components 11a, 11b. The first connecting component 11a is arranged on a first of the protective components 10, and the second connecting component is arranged on another protective component 10 to be connected to the first.

[0049] Figure 1b shows two detailed views A and B from Figure 1a. Detailed view A shows the second connecting component 11b and detailed view B shows the first connecting component 11a. The two connecting elements 11a, 11b are each plug-in elements and together form a plug-in buckle. The protective components 10 can be detachably connected in a simple manner by means of the plug-in buckle. The protective components 10 are advantageously designed identically, in particular with regard to the type and arrangement of the connecting components 11a, 11b. Thus, each of the protective components 10 has two of the first connecting components 11a on one long side 11a and two of the second connecting components 11b on the other long side 11b. As a result, each of the protective components 10 can be connected to each of the other protective components 10, which makes the system particularly flexible.

[0050] The protective device 100 or each of the protective components 10 has an end region 13, which, when the protective device 100 is arranged on the tree 14, is arranged below, facing the tree roots 14a. A root protection device (not shown here) can be fastened in the end region 13 of the protective device 100 by means of further detachable connecting means. The further detachable connecting means can be designed essentially analogously to the detachable connecting means 11. For example, one of the first or second connecting components 11a, 11b can be arranged in the end region 13 of one or more of the protective components 10, and the respective other connecting component 11b, 11a can be attached to the root protection device.

[0051] Root protection devices can also be made from a wide variety of

[0052] RGTH protective components are formed which are designed analogously to the protective components 10 shown in Figure 1a.

[0053] Figure 2a shows the protective device 100 arranged on a tree 14. The protective device 100 and its individual protective components 10 are arranged along the circumference of the tree 14 on its trunk 14a. Because the individual protective components 10 can be assembled using the detachable connecting means 11, it is advantageously possible to arrange the protective device 100 around a branch 18 projecting from the trunk 14a of the tree 14.

[0054] Figure 2b shows a cross-sectional view of a protective component 10 through the thickness D of the protective component 10. The structure of the protective component 10 can be seen, which comprises a receiving pocket 17, with a protective element 16 arranged within the receiving pocket 17. The protective element 16 is preferably elastic and consists of a foam. In particular, all protective components 10 are constructed as shown in Figure 2b.

[0055] The protective component 10 further comprises two handles 15, which are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the protective component 10 and on the receiving pocket 17, respectively. The handles 15 advantageously facilitate the handling of the individual protective components 10 and, for this purpose, are advantageously arranged in the region of the detachable connecting means 11 or the first and second connecting components 11a, 11b. The handles 15 can, in particular, have a length L2 of approximately 10 cm when viewed along the length LI of the protective component 10.
