Description

[0001] A POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

[0002] Field of the Invention

[0003] The present invention relates to a power transmission system for efficiently transferring power between an engine and a power transmission machine (compressor, etc.).

[0004] Prior Art

[0005] In the state of the art, power transmission systems are used to establish the contact between the engine, which is the power source, and the rotating machine (compressor, etc.) and to transmit motion. The most commonly used of these power transmission systems are gear mechanisms and belt-pulley mechanisms. The belt-pulley mechanisms used in the state of the art consist of at least two pulleys, one of which is connected to the motor (power supply) and the other to the machine shaft to which power will be transferred, and a belt placed on two pulleys. Pulleys consist of a circular body, a hub in the center of the body for the shaft to pass on, and a spoke part, which is the part on which the belt passes. The belt is placed on the pulleys and when a pulley is rotated, the belt and other pulleys also rotate with the tension on the belt. In this way, power transmission is provided. In the mentioned belt-pulley mechanisms, speed and torque adjustment can be made by changing the pulley dimensions.

[0006] In the state of the art, there is a fixed pulley on the machine to be transferred (for example, a compressor, etc.) and the pulley dimensions are generally fixed. Therefore, when you want to transmit power to the machine to be transferred force (for example, a compressor, etc.), the pulley dimensions need to be changed for torque and speed adjustment, but this change is a very difficult process. In the process of transferring the desired speed / torque to be achieved with a belt pulley to the pulley of the machine to be powered, it is necessary to use additional gear systems and additional belt pulley assemblies, but in this case, additional losses (friction, etc.) are experienced and in this case, it is necessary to use a motor with higher power than required (for example, the use of a 4 kw motor instead of 3 kw). This situation causes both the need for high-priced motors and the use of more electrical energy. The application numbered CN201685701 in the state of the art relates to the air compressor power transmission mechanism. In said application, the engine includes the engine pulley, belt, compressor pulley, speed adjustment system, and the power received from the engine is transmitted to the belt and pulley speed adjustment system, and power can be transmitted to the compressor located here at the desired speed. However, in said application, the use of a high power engine (for example, using a 4 kW engine instead of 3 kW) is required and it does not save engine power and electricity.

[0007] Brief Description of the Invention

[0008] The object of the present invention is to realize a power transmission system for efficiently transferring power between an engine and a power transmission machine (compressor, etc.).

[0009] The object of the present invention is to realize a power transmission system that can be used to transmit power with fewer mechanical parts and less power loss.

[0025] M. Engine

[0026] G. Machine to be powered

[0027] K. Machine pulley

[0028] A power transmission system (1) for efficiently transferring power between an engine (M) and a machine to be powered (G) (compressor, etc.), comprising of the following;

[0029] - At least one engine pulley (2) to be connected to the engine (M), an adjustment pulley (3) positioned in response to the engine pulley (2), at least one belt (4) attached to the engine pulley (2) and the adjustment pulley (3),

[0030] - At least one transmission shaft (5) connected to the central region of the adjustment pulley (3),

[0031] - A transmission pulley (6) that is connected to the transmission shaft (5) and thus rotates at the same speed as the adjustment pulley (3),

[0032] - At least one mechanical connection element (7) fixed to the transmission pulley (6) on one side and used to fix the machine (G) pulley (K) to which power will be transferred on the other side.

[0033] A system (100) used to efficiently transmit power comprises a power transmission system (1) which has; an engine (M) comprising at least one engine pulley (2), at least one machine to be powered (G), which comprises at least one engine pulley (K) and to which the force coming from the engine (M) will be transferred, - which is used to transfer power efficiently between the motor (M) and the machine to be powered (compressor etc.) (G), having the following;

[0034] • an adjustment pulley (3) positioned in response to the engine pulley (2), at least one belt (4) attached to the engine pulley (2) and the adjustment pulley (3),

[0035] • at least one transmission shaft (5) connected to the central region of the adjustment pulley (3),

[0036] • a transmission pulley (6) that is connected to the transmission shaft (5) and thus rotates at the same speed as the adjustment pulley (3),

[0037] • at least one mechanical connection element (7) fixed to the transmission pulley (6) on one side and fixed to the pulley of the machine to be powered (G) on the other side.

[0038] The system (100) / power transmission system (1) of the present invention ensures that the power received from the engine (M) is transferred to the machine to be powered (G), in a way that the speed can be adjusted and with minimum power loss. Said power transmission system (1) has a motor pulley (2) connected to the engine (M), an adjustment pulley (3) connected to the engine pulley (2) with a belt (4), and the motor pulley (2) and the adjustment pulley (3) revolution / speed adjustment can be made with different sizes. There is a transmission shaft (5) from the central part of the adjustment pulley (3), and this transmission shaft (5) rotates with the adjustment pulley (3). Said transmission shaft (5) is connected to a transmission pulley (6) on the other side, and the transmission pulley (6) rotates at the same speed with the rotation movement of the shaft. Said transmission pulley (6) can be fixed to the pulley (K) of the machine to be powered, with a mechanical connection element (7). In this way, the revolution occurring in the adjustment pulley (3) is transmitted to pulley (K) of the machine to be powered (G) with minimum power loss. Connection is provided directly without the need for mechanisms that may cause power loss such as an additional belt pulley or gear mechanism since the transmission pulley (6) used is directly connected to the adjustment pulley (3) shaft and the transmission pulley (6) is mechanically connected to the pulley (K) of the machine to be powered (G). Since there are no losses such as additional friction force, the power transmission process is completed by using less electrical energy with a lower kilowatt engine (M). Transmitting force from the shaft part to the pulley (K) of the machine to be powered (G) and rotating the same from the shaft part is a process that requires more power. Instead, in the system (100) / power transmission system (1) of the invention, force is transferred through the uppermost part of the machine pulley (K) and thus, there is no / minimum power loss. With the logic of Force x Force Arm = Load x Load Arm, it requires less power to rotate the pulley from the upper part of the pulley.

[0039] The torque received from the engine (M) is transmitted to the adjustment pulley (3) via the belt pulley mechanism. Under normal conditions, the machine to which power will be transferred can operate with the power in the adjustment pulley, in case the force is transmitted from the adjustment pulley to the pulley of the machine to be powered, power loss (friction, belt force and losses in gear structures) occurs and the engine cannot start the machine to be powered. In addition, if the adjustment pulley (3) is directly connected to the pulley of the machine to be powered, power loss occurs due to the insufficient connection and the balance and friction losses that occur in the connection, and the engine cannot start the machine to be powered. In the power transmission system (1) of the present invention; with the power transmission made to the machine pulley (K) through the connection of the transmission shaft (5), transmission pulley (6) and mechanical connection element (7), the engine (M) operates the machine to be powered (G). As an example of this situation, the machine operates by connecting a 4 kW motor to the machine to be powered (G) via the belt and pulley mechanism. However, with a 3 kW engine, the machine does not work due to the friction losses caused by the same belt pulley connection and additional connections (direct coupling, additional belt pulley, gear system, etc.), mechanical losses in the connections and balance losses. In the power transmission system (1) of the present invention; in the case of power transmission, which is carried out by the connection of the transmission shaft (5), transmission pulley (6) and mechanical connection element (7) to the machine pulley (K), since the connection is created in the most efficient way, the machine can operate with a 3 kW engine.

[0040] In the applications made with the power transmission system (1) of the present invention, the machine to be powered (G), working with 4 kW, was operated with a 3 kW engine (M). In the trials, a 3 kW motor (M) was connected to the adjustment pulley (3) via the motor pulley (2), and the adjustment pulley (3) was directly connected to the pulley (K) of the machine to be powered (G), however, the system did not work with the 3 kW motor (M) due to losses such as friction, centrifugal and balance. In case the same experiment is carried out with the power transmission system (1) of the present invention, the machine works by reducing the losses.

[0041] In one embodiment of the invention, the transmission pulley (6) and the machine pulley (K) are the same size or very close in size. In this way, they can be easily fixed together with the mechanical connection element (7) and can rotate at the same rotation speed.

[0042] In one embodiment of the invention, the transmission pulley (6) and the adjustment pulley (3) are connected to each other by a splined shaft, and in this way, the adjustment pulley (3) and the transmission pulley (6) rotate at the same speed since they are connected to the same transmission shaft (5).

[0043] In one embodiment of the invention, the mechanical connection element (7) is fixed to the outer upper surface of the transmission pulley (6) from one side and to the outer upper surface of the machine pulley (K) from the other side. In this way, it transfers force through the part furthest from the transmission shaft (5) and thus reduces power loss.

[0044] In one embodiment of the invention, the mechanical connection element (7) comprises a rod piece (71) (blade), which is fixed to the transmission pulley (6) on one side and to the machine pulley (K) on the other side, and transfers the force without loss so that the two pulleys rotate at the same speed. In another embodiment of the invention, the rod piece (71) is fixed to the transmission pulley (6) and the machine pulley (K) on both sides with the connection element (72) (bolts / screws) and thus transfers the force without loss.

[0045] In one embodiment of the invention, it comprises a mutual recess on the transmission pulley (5) and the machine pulley (K), and a mechanical connection element (7) that is positioned by passing into these recesses and thus transfers the force without loss.

[0046] In one embodiment of the invention, the adjustment pulley (3) is larger than the motor pulley (2). In this way, the high speed taken from the engine (M) is reduced and the reduced speed is transferred to the machine pulley (K) without loss of power.

[0047] In one embodiment of the invention, the desired speed adjustment can be made by changing the dimensions of the adjustment pulley (3), engine pulley (2) and transmission pulley (6). In one embodiment of the invention, the engine (M) and the machine to be powered (G) are positioned on a workbench (table), and said transmission shaft (5) is fixed on the workbench with a bearing element.

[0048] In one embodiment of the invention, the machine to be powered (G) is a compressor. In one embodiment of the invention, the machine to be powered (G) is a generator. In one embodiment of the invention, the machine to be powered (G) is an agricultural machine. In one embodiment of the invention, the engine pulley (2), adjustment pulley (3), transmission pulley (5) and / or machine pulley (K) consist of a circular body, a hub located in the center of the body for the shaft to pass onto it, and the spoke part, which is the part on which the belt passes.

[0049] In one embodiment of the invention, said engine (M) operates with electricity. In another embodiment of the invention, the engine (M) operates with gas. In another embodiment of the invention, the engine (M) operates with a fuel (gasoline, diesel oil, etc.).
