Description

[0001] DESCRIPTION

[0002] Bag for support and fluid supply.

[0003] TECHNICAL SECTOR

[0004] The present invention relates to a bag for supporting and supplying fluids, which is particularly convenient in the healthcare field.

[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a portable device that allows for the support and delivery of a fluid contained in a container, such as an IV pole, liquid medication, or any other fluid. Advantageously, the bag of the invention eliminates the need for bulky support devices, such as a pole or drip stand, and optimizes the use of personnel involved in a healthcare intervention by eliminating the need for a single person to hold the fluid bag.

[0006] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0007] In the healthcare field, fluid containers are well-known. These containers hold various substances in liquid form and are administered to a patient, such as serums, antibiotics, analgesics, sedatives, plasma, among others. For the administration of these fluids to a patient, the containers are typically suspended from a pole or drip stand, so that the container is suspended above the patient to facilitate the administration of the fluid by gravity. To this end, one end of the container has a valve that connects to a tube or line, the end of which is inserted into the patient's body. In emergency situations, such as a traffic accident or during the transfer of a patient through healthcare facilities, the fluid container is held directly by the healthcare personnel, so that only that person can perform that function.

[0008] Precisely in these emergency situations, usually outside of hospitals, rapid and agile intervention is vital in administering the required treatments to the patient. This operation normally requires at least two people: one person to hold the fluid container above the patient, and another person to perform the necessary dressings or techniques due to the medical emergency.

[0009] For this reason, the applicant of the present invention detects the need to develop a device that allows a fluid container to be held autonomously, without requiring other cumbersome holding devices or additional personnel to hold the container, so that all personnel can actively contribute to the emergency intervention, optimizing the necessary personnel.

[0010] EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] The bag for supporting and supplying fluids proposed by the invention fully satisfactorily resolves the problem described above, based on a simple but extremely effective solution.

[0012] To this end, and more specifically, the bag of the invention is formed from a body that has at least one upper opening for the introduction of a container containing the fluid to be dispensed. This opening can be closed using a zipper, clips, Velero®, or similar. At the opposite end of the bag, that is, at its bottom, there is at least one perforation that defines a partial opening thereof, and through which the end of the fluid container is accessible, such that the valve that is normally connected to the fluid container to regulate the supply is accessible for manipulation.

[0013] In accordance with the essence of the invention, the bag for holding and delivering sanitary fluids has support means for securing the bag to a surface. Preferably, the support means comprise at least one magnetic component preferably arranged on the rear of the bag, such that, when it is brought close to a metal surface, the bag is magnetically secured. Thus, in the event of a traffic accident, the bag of the invention can be secured by means of the magnetic component to the door of a vehicle located near the patient, which advantageously allows the patient to be treated immediately and leaves the hands of the medical personnel free to dedicate themselves entirely to the patient, without needing to hold the bag of sanitary fluid by hand.

[0014] On the other hand, the support means may be integrated by at least one suction cup, preferably arranged on the rear surface of the bag, such that the suction cup allows the bag to be fixed to the desired surface.

[0015] Another alternative in which the support means can be materialized is in a handle, such that the bag of the invention will be arranged hanging from any prominent element by the handle, the handle being a means that additionally facilitates the grip of the bag and its transport hanging from the shoulder.

[0016] In order to facilitate checking the level of fluid remaining in the container, the bag of the invention has at least a portion of a transparent material, preferably on one of its sides, which allows precise control of the dosage and replenishing the fluid as soon as necessary.

[0017] The bag optionally includes an interior pocket for inserting a hot / cold gel, ensuring the medical fluid is maintained at the required temperature during administration. Also optionally, the bag features multiple pockets on its sides for storing auxiliary materials for administering the fluid, such as cannulas or syringes, gloves, pens, etc.

[0018] In short, the recommended fluid support and delivery bag is an effective tool that optimizes medical intervention, especially in emergency situations, as it provides a means of securing fluid containers that healthcare workers typically have to hold, or that must be placed on cumbersome poles that cannot be used outside hospital premises.

[0019] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0020] To complement the description that follows and in order to help better understand the characteristics of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is attached as an integral part of said description, in which the following has been represented for illustrative and non-limiting purposes:

[0021] Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the bag of the invention made in accordance with the object of the present invention.

[0022] Figure 2.- Shows a bottom view of the bag in figure 1 in which the detail of the perforation at the bottom of the bag can be seen.

[0023] Figure 3.- Shows a rear view of the bag in the previous figures in which the detail of the magnetic support means can be seen.

[0024] Figure 4.- Shows a partial view of the bag in the previous figures with the fluid container inside and a roll of adhesive tape attached to the bag.

[0025] Figure 5.- Finally, it shows a view of the bag from the previous figures properly attached to the door of a vehicle, thanks to the magnetic components of the support means.

[0026] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

[0027] An exemplary embodiment is illustrated in Figures 1 to 5 in which the bag for supporting and supplying fluids has an upper opening (1) that is closed with a zipper and through which the container (2) containing the fluid is introduced. As can be seen in detail in Figure 2, the bag has a perforation (3) through which the container (2) and its regulating valve (14) are accessible, which is connected to the line (15) that supplies the fluid to the patient or recipient.

[0028] On the other hand, the bag has a portion (4) on its sides made of a transparent material to view the level (5) of the fluid, which allows you to quickly check at a glance if the contents of the container (2) have been used up, and to replenish it if necessary.

[0029] As for the support means, in figure 3 it can be seen that in the illustrated embodiment these means are made up of two magnetized components (6) located in the rear part of the bag, which allow the bag to be fastened to a metallic surface, such as the door of a vehicle as shown in figure 5. Advantageously, this allows rapid intervention, for example, in emergency situations outside a hospital premises such as a traffic accident.

[0030] In order to facilitate the identification of the location of the bag, it includes a reflective portion (13) on its outer surface, as can be seen in the exemplary embodiment of the figures described. On the other hand, the bag of the embodiment also includes a transparent pocket (12) on its front surface, for the introduction of a card with the information relative to the sanitary fluid placed inside the bag.

[0031] As detailed above, the bag preferably includes a plurality of pockets (16) that allow the necessary material for the intervention to be housed, as well as a band (8) joined to the bag by its ends, such that at least one of the ends includes fastening means, such as the clip (9) seen in Figures 1 and 4. Thus, the clip (9) allows the band (8) to be fastened and unfastened for its introduction, for example, through the hole of a roll (10) of adhesive tape, allowing this element to be within reach of the staff, since it is a relevant element when placing a route in a patient.

[0032] In the illustrated embodiment, the support means are additionally materialized in a handle (11) that can be fixed or removed from the bag at will, such that the handle (11) allows the bag to be supported on any prominent element close to the patient, such as a rearview mirror of a vehicle, also serving to hang the bag from the shoulder.
