[0030] The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model (referred to herein as, “open system interconnection model” ) is a conceptual and logical layout that defines network communication used by systems (e.g., wireless communication device, wireless communication node) open to interconnection and communication with other systems. The model is broken into seven subcomponents, or layers, each of which represents a conceptual collection of services provided to the layers above and below it. The OSI Model also defines a logical network and effectively describes computer packet transfer by using different layer protocols. The OSI Model may also be referred to as the seven-layer OSI Model or the seven-layer model. In some embodiments, a first layer may be a physical layer. In some embodiments, a second layer may be a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. In some embodiments, a third layer may be a Radio Link Control (RLC) layer. In some embodiments, a fourth layer may be a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer. In some embodiments, a fifth layer may be a Radio Resource Control (RRC) layer. In some embodiments, a sixth layer may be a Non Access Stratum (NAS) layer or an Internet Protocol (IP) layer, and the seventh layer being the other layer.

[0031] Various example embodiments of the present solution are described below with reference to the accompanying figures to enable a person of ordinary skill in the art to make and use the present solution. As would be apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art, after reading the present disclosure, various changes or modifications to the examples described herein can be made without departing from the scope of the present solution. Thus, the present solution is not limited to the example embodiments and applications described and  illustrated herein. Additionally, the specific order or hierarchy of steps in the methods disclosed herein are merely example approaches. Based upon design preferences, the specific order or hierarchy of steps of the disclosed methods or processes can be re-arranged while remaining within the scope of the present solution. Thus, those of ordinary skill in the art will understand that the methods and techniques disclosed herein present various steps or acts in a sample order, and the present solution is not limited to the specific order or hierarchy presented unless expressly stated otherwise.

[0032] 2. Systems and Methods for Transmission Scheme Indication

[0033] In certain communication systems, based on or given a certain signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) (e.g., at the UE level) of physical channels supported for new radio (NR) non-terrestrial network (NTN) , a satellite with relatively limited transmission power and / or limited processing bandwidth (e.g., satellite with relatively lower performance or functionalities) may serve a portion / part of a potential satellite coverage area at a particular time. In certain systems, satellites can be deployed with configurations or set up for optimizing power, thereby potentially reducing / lowering or limiting the network coverage area. In such systems, implementation of downlink (DL) coverage enhancement techniques may be desired to optimize, for instance, the network infrastructure and / or operational resources for a predefined targeted coverage. Hence, the systems and methods of the technical solution discussed herein can provide a transmission scheme indication for coverage enhancement, including but not limited to enhancing the coverage of NTN.

[0034] FIG. 3 illustrates an example structure of a transparent NTN, in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. A link between a UE (e.g., a user equipment, the UE 104, the UE 204, a mobile device, a wireless communication device, a terminal, etc. ) and a satellite can be a service link. A link between a BS (e.g., a base station, the BS 102, the BS 202, a gNB, an eNB, a wireless communication node, etc. ) and a satellite can be a feeder link and can be common for all UEs within the same cell.

[0035] In a certain specification or system, DCI format 1_1 can be used or configured for scheduling one or more physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) in one cell. When a higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPDSCH is configured, the time domain resource assignment can occupy at least one of, but not limited to, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and / or 6 bits as defined / configured / indicated in the specification. The bitwidth for this field (e.g., the time domain resource assignment) can be determined as [log2 (I) ] bits, where I can represent or correspond to the number of entries in the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomain AllocationListForMultiPDSCH.

[0036] In some implementations, transmission block 1 (TB1) can be scheduled by the DCI signaling (or other types of signalings) . For the modulation and coding scheme (MCS) , TB1 may occupy or be associated with 5 bits according to the specification. In this case, when the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPDSCH is configured, the new data indicator can occupy at least one of, but not limited to, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits, determined based on the maximum number of schedulable PDSCH among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pdsch-Time DomainResourceAllocationListForMulti PDSCH. Each bit of the new data indicator can correspond to or be associated with one scheduled PDSCH as defined in the specification. When the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMulti PDSCH is configured, the redundancy version can occupy or be associated with at least one of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,  and / or 8 bits determined by the maximum number of schedulable PDSCHs among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainResourceAllocationListForMultiPDSCH. Each bit occupied by the redundancy version can correspond to one scheduled PDSCH as defined in the specification. The redundancy version may be determined or configured according to example Table 1.

[0037] In some implementations, transmission block 2 (TB2) can be scheduled by the DCI signaling (or other types of signalings) . For the MCS, TB2 can occupy, be associated with, or correspond to 5 bits according to the specification. In this case, when the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListFor MultiPDSCH is configured, the new data indicator can occupy at least one of, but not limited to, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits determined according to the maximum number of schedulable PDSCH among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainResourceAllocationListForMultiPDSCH. Each bit occupied by the new data indicator may correspond to one scheduled PDSCH as defined or indicated in the specification. When the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPDSCH is configured, the redundancy version can occupy at least one of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits determined by (or according to) the maximum number of schedulable PDSCHs among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainResourceAllocationListForMultiPDSCH. Each bit occupied by the redundancy version can correspond to one scheduled PDSCH as defined in the specification. The redundancy version may be determined according to the example Table 1.

[0038] Example Table 1: Redundancy Version

[0039] In a certain specification or system, DCI format 0_1 can be configured or defined in the specification. The DCI format 0_1 can be used for scheduling one or more physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) in one cell. If the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListDCI-0-1 and / or the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPUSCH is configured, the time domain resource assignment can occupy at least one of but not limited to 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and / or 6 bits according to the specification. The bitwidth for this field (e.g., the time domain resource assignment field) can be equal to or determined as [log2 (I) ] bits. The I can denote the number of entries in the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListDCI-0-1 and / or pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPUSCH. In some implementations, 5 bits can be defined in the specification for the MCS. When the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPUSCH is configured, the new data indicator can occupy at least one of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits determined based on or according to the maximum number of schedulable PUSCH among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPUSCH. Each bit of the data indicator can correspond to one scheduled PUSCH according to the specification. When the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPUSCH is configured, the redundancy version can occupy at least one of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits determined according to the maximum number of schedulable PUSCHs among the various entries in the higher layer parameter pusch-TimeDomain AllocationListForMultiPUSCH. Each bit of the redundancy version can correspond to one scheduled PUSCH as defined in the specification. The redundancy version can be determined according to the example Table 1.

[0040] In consideration of the relatively larger / wider gap to satisfy / meet the desired link resource (e.g., budget) , the systems and methods of the technical solution can provide a (e.g., new) transmission scheme to indicate at least one corresponding MCS for one or more transmissions of TB. By providing or configuring the transmission scheme, the systems and methods can allow the merging and / or decoding of multiple transmissions of the same TB with different MCSs at the receiver (e.g., the UE 104) .

[0041] Example Implementation: Transmission Scheme Enhancement

[0042] In various configurations, the systems and methods can consider or implement various methods, techniques, or features for a new transmission scheme to enhance coverage performance for the new transmission scheme, not limited to those discussed herein. In some implementations, for the transmission scheme, existing signaling can be reused / repurposed / redefined and / or a new field can be defined / configured / indicated as a timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator (e.g., second indication) . The configuration of the existing signaling and / or the new field for the second indication can be a part of an example method 1. The timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator (e.g., the repurposed signaling or the new field) may be configured or indicated by the higher layer signaling to indicate the time-domain configuration for multiple transmissions. The timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator can indicate the configuration of the time domain resource allocation (TDRA) , which may correspond to one or more rows containing multiple start and length indicator values (SLIVs) for multiple transmissions.

[0043] The existing signaling can be referred to as a first field to be repurposed / redefined to indicate a configuration of TDRA which corresponds to multiple SLIVs for multiple data transmissions. The new field can be referred to as a second field to indicate the configuration of TDRA corresponding to the multiple SLIVs for the multiple transmissions. In some configurations, a flag field can be configured by the higher layer signaling to indicate whether to reuse / redefine / repurpose at least one existing signaling as the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. In some cases, if a flag field is configured, the existing signaling can be reused as the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator to indicate the configuration of the TDRA corresponding to one or more rows containing multiple SLIVs for multiple transmissions.

[0044] For example, the BS 102 (e.g., gNB, TRP, or access network equipment) and / or the satellite can send / transmit / provide / communicate / signal the second indication to the UE 104, the second indication including at least one of the first field and / or the second field. The UE 104 can receive / acquire / obtain the second indication from the BS 102. The UE 104 can determine the multiple SLIVs for the various data transmissions of the at least one TB using the second indication and a TDRA table. In some cases, the UE 104 can perform the determination of the multiple SLIVs for the multiple transmissions when at least one condition is satisfied / met. In this case, the condition may include the flag field configured by the higher layer signaling to indicate that the first field is repurposed / redefined to indicate the configuration of TDRA. In some cases, the condition may include the second indication configured by the higher layer signaling to indicate the configuration of the TDRA corresponding to one or more rows containing multiple SLIVs for multiple transmissions.

[0045] Example Case 1: New Field Defined as timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans Indicator

[0046] In some implementations, if a new field is defined as the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator to indicate the configuration of the TDRA table which corresponds to one or more rows containing the multiple SLIVs for multiple transmissions, at least one of but not limited to the following fields can be defined.

[0047] For example, a new time domain resource assignment (e.g., field) can be defined / indicated / configured to indicate the number of scheduled transmissions signaled in the DCI signaling (or other types of signalings) , e.g., described or referred to as part of an example method 2. The number of scheduled transmissions can correspond to the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. If the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is configured, the bitwidth for this field (e.g., the time domain resource assignment) can be determined as [log2 (I) ] bits, where I can denote the number of entries or the number of scheduled transmissions (e.g., corresponding to the number of SLIVs) in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. If the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationfor MultiTrans is not configured, the bitwidth for the field can be configured according to the specification. In some implementations, the new time domain resource assignment can be referred to as a third indication, where the third indication can indicate the number of transmissions (e.g., I) corresponding to the number of SLIVs, and / or has a bitwidth determined as [log2 (I) ] bits.

[0048] In another example, a new MCS indicator (e.g., first indication) can be defined to indicate a set of MCS indexes / indices corresponding to multiple transmissions of one or more TBs, e.g., described or referred to as part of an example method 3. In this case, if the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is configured, the bitwidth for this field (e.g., the MCS indicator or the first indication) can be determined as or equal to 5*I bits, where I can denote or correspond to the number of entries or transmissions (e.g., corresponding to the number of SLIVs) in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. Each set of 5 bits can correspond to the MCS indexes / indices of one transmission from / of multiple transmissions of at least one TB. If the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the bitwidth for the field follow or be configured according to the specification.

[0049] In some implementations, the MCS indicator (e.g., indicated by the MCS indicator or the first indication) that includes the order of modulation and code rate for multiple transmissions can be configured as or indicative that, at least one of but not limited to:

[0050] · The MCS indicator can include at least one type of order of modulation and code rate that can be the same as that of the first transmission for multiple transmissions. In this case, the multiple transmissions can utilize the same order of modulation and code rate.

[0051] · The MCS indicator can include at least one type of order of modulation and code rate that may be different for multiple transmissions. In this case, one or more of the multiple transmissions can use different order of modulation and code rate.

[0052] · The order of modulation can be different from the first transmission, and the code rate may be the same as the first transmission for multiple transmissions. In this case, the multiple transmissions can use different orders of modulation, while using the same coding rate, for example. Various combinations of the same or different orders of modulation and / or same code rates can be considered for the multiple  transmissions. For example, the MCSs for two transmissions of one TB can include or be MCS index 6 and MCS index 4, corresponding to the (16 quadrature amplitude modulation (16QAM) , coding rate 1 (CR1) ) and (quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) , CR1) , respectively. Meanwhile, the corresponding resources configured in the SLIV in timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans for 2 transmission of one TB can include but are not limited to: allocation symbol length x1 can correspond to one slot (e.g., consecutive slot) for the first transmission of one TB for which the modulation can be 16QAM, allocation symbol length x2 can correspond to two consecutive slots bundled together for the second transmission of the same TB for which the modulation can be QPSK, where x1 equals x2, and the number of consecutive slots for the subsequent transmission can be associated with (or calculated according to)  or allocation symbol length x1 can correspond to one slot (e.g., consecutive slot) for the first transmission of one TB which the modulation can be 16QAM, allocation symbol length x2 can correspond to one slot (e.g., consecutive slot) for the second transmission of the same TB which the modulation can be QPSK, where x2 equals to x1 multiply by In this example, SLIV can ensure that multiple transmissions with different modulations and the same code rate are transmitted / sent / provided over the same frequency domain resource by changing the length of allocation symbols.

[0053] In some aspects, for the new data indicator (e.g., fourth indication) , e.g., part of an example method 4, if the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans (e.g., the second indication) is configured, at least one of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits (e.g., the bitwidth) can be determined according to or based on the maximum number of schedulable transmissions among the (e.g., all, or multiple valid) entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. The new data indicator can be a part of the fourth indication, which may include one or more new data indicators (NDIs) for the multiple data transmissions. Each bit can correspond to one scheduled transmission. If the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the number of bits of the bitwidth can be determined according to the specification.

[0054] For the redundancy version, e.g., part of an example method 5, if the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans (e.g., the second indication) is configured, a bitwidth of at least one of but not limited to 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and / or 8 bits can be determined according to the maximum number of schedulable transmissions among the (e.g., all, or multiple valid) entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. Each bit can correspond to one scheduled transmission and redundancy version can be determined according to but not limited to the example Table 1. If the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the bitwidth can be determined according to the specification. For example, if the second indication (e.g., the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans) is configured, the UE 104 can receive a fifth indication indicating one or more redundancy versions (RVs) for the multiple transmissions from the BS 102. The fifth indication can include the bitwidth determined according to the maximum number of schedulable transmissions among all entries in the second indication.

[0055] In some implementations, as part of an example method 6, if the UE 104 is configured with timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans (e.g., the second indication) in which one or more rows include / comprise / contain multiple SLIVs for at least one TB, the UE 104 may not be configured with the higher layer parameter pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPDSCH-r17. In some cases, as part of an example method 7, if the UE 104 is configured with timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans in which one or more rows include multiple SLIVs for at least one TB, the UE 104 may not apply pdsch-AggregationFactor in PDSCH-config (e.g., the configuration of the PDSCH) , if configured, to the DCI signaling (or other types of signalings) .

[0056] In some arrangements, as part of an example method 8, if the UE 104 is configured with the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans in which one or more rows include multiple SLIVs for at least one TB, when any two DCIs end in the same symbol and at least one of the DCIs schedules multiple TBs, the UE 104 may determine, expect, or assume that the scheduled TB (s) by the two DCIs does not have overlapping spans, where the span associated with the DCI is defined from the beginning of the first scheduled TB and / or up to the end of the last scheduled TB.

[0057] For timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans in the higher layer signaling, as part of an example method 9, each TB can have a separate SLIV, mapping type, and / or slot offset (K0) , among others. The number of scheduled TBs can be indicated / signaled by or according to the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans signaled in the DCI format, such as but not limited to the DCI format 1_1.

[0058] In some arrangements, as part of an example method 10, if the UE 104 is configured with timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans in which one or more rows include multiple SLIVs for TB, and the UE 104 is indicated with re-transmission of at least one TB corresponding to semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) by the DCI signaling (e.g., DCI format 1_1 or other formats) , the UE 104 may determine that the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans by the DCI signaling is one or less. In other words, the UE 104 may not expect that the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationfor MultiTrans by the DCI signaling is more than one.

[0059] In some aspects, as part of an example method 11, when the UE 104 is configured with timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, the triggered aperiodic zero power (ZP) channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) can be applied to all the slot (s) of the TB (s) scheduled and / or the TBs with SPS activated / enabled by the DCI signaling including / containing the trigger. In some implementations, as part of an example method 12, if the UE 104 is configured with timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans in which one or more rows include multiple SLIVs for TB on a downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) of a serving cell, and the UE 104 is receiving the DCI signaling carrying the TCI-State indication and without assignment, the UE 104 may not expect that the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans by the DCI signaling is more than one. In such cases, the UE 104 may determine that the number of indicated SLIVs in the row of the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans by the DCI signaling is one or less than one.

[0060] In some implementations, as part of an example method 13, for the UE 104 configured with the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, the indicated TCI state (s) can be based on the activated TCI states in the first slot with the scheduled TB (s) . In this case, the UE 104 can expect (or determine) the activated TCI states to be the same across the slots with the scheduled TB (s) .

[0061] For the multiple transmissions, as part of an example method 14, such as those discussed hereinabove, one or more of the multiple transmissions can be of different TBs or a TB (e.g., a single TB) .

[0062] Example 1 of Example Case 1

[0063] In some configurations, four transmissions for different TBs can be scheduled for the purposes of providing examples herein. In this case, the MCS index table and the TDRA table can be configured as example Table 2 and example Table 3, respectively. In this example, if timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is configured, the TDRA index in timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans can include, be, or correspond to { (0101) , (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (... ) invalid} , where I (e.g., denoting the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, if the higher layer parameter is configured) equals to 4. The time domain resource assignment can occupy [log2 (I) ] = 2 bits. The value can be 4 (e.g., corresponding to I) signaled according to the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. The MCS can occupy 5*I = 20 bits, which may be configured as but not limited to MCS indexes (01011) , (00101) , (00101) , and (00101) (e.g., totaling 20 bits) , for example. The new data indicator can occupy 4 bits to indicate whether each of the multiple transmissions for different TBs is a new transmission or a re-transmission of at least one previous transmission. The redundancy version can occupy 4 bits, where the value of each bit can represent / indicate the redundancy version of each transmission. Allocation symbol length x1 (e.g., first allocation symbol length) can correspond to one slot (e.g., consecutive slot) for one transmission (e.g., a first transmission of the multiple transmissions) of TB1 for which the modulation can be 16QAM (e.g., first order of modulation) , for example. Allocation symbol length x2 (e.g., second allocation symbol length) can correspond to one consecutive slot for one transmission (e.g., a second transmission of the multiple transmissions) of at least one of TB2, TB3, and / or TB4 for which the modulation can be QPSK (e.g., second order of modulation) . In this example, x2 can equal to x1 multiplied by  The 16QAM modulation and the QPSK modulation may be provided as an example, although other orders of modulation can be configured or used herein. In some cases, if the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the time domain resource assignment, MCS, new data indicator, and / or redundancy version can follow (or be configured or utilized according to) the specification.

[0064] Example 2 of Example Case 1

[0065] Similarly to the above example, four transmissions for one TB (e.g., a single TB) can be scheduled for the purpose of providing examples herein. In some configurations, if the timeDomainAllocationfor MultiTrans is configured, the TDRA index in timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans can be { (0101) , (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (... ) invalid} , where I (e.g., denoting the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, if the higher layer parameter is configured) can be 4. The time domain resource assignment can occupy [log2 (I) ] = 2 bits. The value can be 4 (e.g., corresponding to I) signaled according to the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. The MCS can occupy 5*I = 20 bits, configured as the MCS index (01011) , (00101) , (00101) , and (00101) , for example. The new data indicator can occupy 4 bits to indicate whether each of the multiple transmissions for one TB is a new transmission or a re-transmission. The redundancy version can occupy 4 bits. The value of each bit can  indicate the redundancy version of each transmission. Allocation symbol length x1 can correspond to one consecutive slot for the first transmission of the multiple transmissions of one TB, where the modulation can be the first order of modulation (e.g., 16QAM or others) . Allocation symbol length x2 can correspond to one consecutive slot for the second (e.g., another, third, fourth, etc) transmission of the multiple transmissions of the same TB, where the modulation can be the second order of modulation (e.g., QPSK or others) . In this case, x2 can be equal to x1 multiplied by  If the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the time domain resource assignment, MCS, new data indicator, and / or redundancy version may be configured or follow according to the specification.

[0067] Example Table 3: MCS Index Table

[0068] Example 3 of Example Case 1

[0069] In another example, with the assumption of four transmissions for different TBs, the MCS index table and / or the TDRA table can be configured according to the example Table 2 and the example Table 3, respectively. If timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is configured, the TDRA index in timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans can be { (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (... ) invalid} , where I (e.g., denoting the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, if the higher layer parameter is configured) can be 4. The time domain resource assignment can occupy [log2 (I) ] = 2 bits. The value can be 4 (e.g., corresponding to I) signaled according to or by the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. The MCS can occupy 5*I = 20 bits, which can be configured as the MCS indexes (01011) , (00101) , (00101) , and (00101) . The new data indicator can occupy 4 bits to indicate whether each of the multiple transmissions for different TB is a new transmission or a re-transmission. The redundancy version can occupy 4 bits. The value of each bit can indicate the redundancy version of each transmission. In this example, allocation symbol length (e.g., 10, etc. ) can correspond to one consecutive slot for the transmission of TB1, where the modulation can be the first order of modulation (e.g., 16QAM) . Allocation symbol length (e.g., 10, etc. ) can correspond to two consecutive slots bundled / combined together for the transmission of TB2, TB3, and / or TB4, where the modulation can be the second order of modulation (e.g.,  QPSK) . The number of consecutive slots for subsequent transmission can be associated with or equal to  In some cases, if timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the time domain resource assignment, MCS, new data indicator, and / or redundancy version can follow the specification.

[0070] Example 4 of Example Case 1

[0071] In another example, with four scheduled transmissions for one TB (e.g., a single TB) , if timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is configured, the TDRA index in timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans can be { (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (0010) , (... ) invalid} , where I (e.g., denoting the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, if the higher layer parameter is configured) can be 4. The time domain resource assignment can occupy or be associated with [log2 (I) ] = 2 bits. The value can be 4 (e.g., corresponding to I) signaled according to the number of entries in the higher layer parameter timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans. The MCS can occupy 5*I=20 bits, which may be configured as the MCS indexes (01011) , (00101) , (00101) , and (00101) . The new data indicator can occupy 4 bits to indicate whether the multiple transmissions for one TB are new transmissions or re-transmissions. The redundancy version can occupy 4 bits. The value of each bit (of the 4 bits) can indicate the redundancy version of each transmission. In this example, allocation symbol length (e.g., 10, etc. ) can correspond to one consecutive slot for the first transmission of the multiple transmissions of one TB, where the modulation can be the first order of modulation (e.g., 16QAM) . Allocation symbol length (e.g., 10, etc. ) can correspond to two consecutive slots bundled together for the second (e.g., another, third, fourth, etc. ) transmission of the multiple transmissions of the same TB, among others, where the modulation can be the second order of modulation (e.g., QPSK) . In this case, the number of consecutive slots for subsequent transmission can be associated with  In some cases, if timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans is not configured, the time domain resource assignment, MCS, new data indicator, and / or redundancy version can follow the specification.

[0072] Example Case 2: Reuse Existing Signaling

[0073] In various configurations, at least one existing signaling can be reused / redefined / repurposed as the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator. For example, if at least one existing signaling (e.g., pdsch-TimeDomainAllocationListForMultiPDSCH, pusch-TimeDomainAllocationListDCI-0-1, pusch-TimeDomain AllocationListForMultiPUSCH, or other existing signalings) is reused as the timeDomainAllocation forMultiTrans indicator, the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans indicator can indicate that the configuration of the TDRA table correspond to one or more rows including / containing multiple SLIVs for multiple transmissions. If the flag field configured by higher layer signaling is enabled / activated to indicate the reuse of the existing signaling as timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans, the features, techniques, or implementations for the transmission indication can be configured similarly to the example methods discussed above, such as similar to at least one of but not limited to the example methods 2 to 5 and / or 7 to 4. In some cases, the features for the transmission indication may not be configured similarly to the example method 6 discussed herein.

[0074] If the flag field configured by higher layer signaling is disabled / deactivated, the transmission scheme can be configured according to or follow the specification. In this example, the example methods 1 to 4 may be valid when the flag field is enabled / activated.

[0075] FIG. 4 illustrates a flow diagram of an example method 400 for transmission scheme indication. The method 400 may be implemented using any one or more of the components and devices detailed herein in conjunction with FIGS. 1–3. In brief overview, the method 400 may be performed by at least one wireless communication device (e.g., a UE or terminal device) , at least one wireless communication node (e.g., a BS, gNB, TRP, or access network equipment) , at least one satellite, etc., in some embodiments. Additional, fewer, or different operations may be performed in the method 400 depending on the embodiment. At least one aspect of the operations is directed to a system, method, apparatus, or a computer-readable medium.

[0076] At operation 402, a wireless communication node can send / transmit / provide a first indication of a plurality of modulation and coding schemes (MCSs) for a plurality of transmissions of at least one transmission block (TB) (or multiple TBs) to a wireless communication device. At operation 404, the wireless communication device can receive / acquire / obtain the first indication from the wireless communication node. At operation 406, the wireless communication device can determine the plurality of MCSs for the plurality of transmissions of the at least one TB according to the first indication.

[0077] In some implementations, the first indication can include / comprise a plurality of bit fields to indicate a plurality of MCS indexes corresponding to the plurality of transmissions (e.g., multiple transmissions) . In some implementations, a second indication can be indicated by higher layer signaling. The second indication can include at least one of a first field that is repurposed or redefined to indicate a configuration of time domain resource allocation (TDRA) which corresponds to a plurality of start and length indicators (SLIVs) for the plurality of transmissions, and / or a second field defined to indicate the configuration of TDRA which corresponds to a plurality of SLIVs for the plurality of transmissions. For example, the first field can be an existing field that is repurposed / redefined / re-configured to indicate the time domain configuration for the multiple transmissions. In another example, the second field can be a new field of the higher layer signaling.

[0078] In some implementations, the wireless communication device can receive the second indication from the wireless communication node. Using at least the second indication and a TDRA table, the wireless communication device can determine the plurality of SLIVs for the plurality of transmissions of the at least one TB. In some cases, the wireless communication device can determine the plurality of SLIVs for the plurality of transmissions of the at least one TB, using the second indication and the TDRA table, when a condition is satisfied. For example, the condition can include but is not limited to at least that a flag field is configured by higher layer signaling to indicate that the first field is repurposed or redefined to indicate the configuration of TDRA.

[0079] In some implementations, the wireless communication device may receive a downlink control information (DCI) signaling including / comprising a third indication from the wireless communication node. The third indication at least one of: can be used to indicate / provide / identify a number of the plurality of transmissions (I) , which corresponds to a number of the plurality of SLIVs, and / or can have a bitwidth that is determined as (e.g., or equal to)

[0080] In some implementations, the first indication may be indicative that, at least one of: the plurality of transmissions can be to use the same MCS; the plurality of transmissions can be to use different MCSs; and / or the plurality of transmissions can be to use different orders of modulation, while the plurality of transmissions can be to use a same coding rate, among other combinations or indications.

[0081] In some implementations, the second indication can correspond to the first indication for the plurality of transmissions. In this case, the second indication and / or the first indication can indicate at least one of:a slot offset (K0) , a start symbol in one slot, a transmission mapping type, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) position corresponding to at least one of the plurality of transmissions, and / or an allocation symbol length, etc.

[0082] In some implementations, a first allocation symbol length (x1) can correspond to one slot for a first transmission of the plurality of transmissions with a first order of modulation, and a second allocation symbol length (x2) can correspond to two consecutive slots bundled together for a second transmission of the plurality of transmissions with a second order of modulation. In some configurations, the first modulation can be 16QAM and the second modulation can be QPSK, for example, although other orders of modulation may be utilized. In this case, x1 can equal or correspond to x2, and a number of consecutive slots can be associated with log2 ( (first modulation order indicated by a MCS of the first transmission)  /  (second modulation order indicated by a MCS of the second transmission) ) (e.g.,  ) . In another example, a first allocation symbol length (x1) may correspond to one slot for the first transmission with a first order of modulation, and a second allocation symbol length (x2) can correspond to one slot for the second transmission with a second order of modulation. In this example, x2 can equal to x1 multiplied by log2 ( (first modulation order indicated by the MCS of the first transmission)  /  (second modulation order indicated by the MCS of the second transmission) ) .

[0083] In some implementations, the wireless communication device can receive a fourth indication of a plurality of new data indicators (NDIs) for the plurality of transmissions from the wireless communication node, for instance, if a second indication is configured. The second indication may include or correspond to the timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans parameter, for example. In this case, the fourth indication can include or have a bitwidth that is determined according to a maximum number of schedulable transmissions among all entries in the second indication.

[0084] In some implementations, the wireless communication device may receive a fifth indication of a plurality of redundancy versions (RVs) for the plurality of transmissions from the wireless communication node, if a second indication (e.g., timeDomainAllocationforMultiTrans parameter) is configured. The fifth indication can have a bitwidth that is determined according to a maximum number of schedulable transmissions among all entries in the second indication. In some implementations, the first indication can have a bitwidth of 5*I, where I can correspond to a number of the plurality of SLIVs.

[0085] While various embodiments of the present solution have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example only, and not by way of limitation. Likewise, the various diagrams may depict an example architectural or configuration, which are provided to enable persons of  ordinary skill in the art to understand example features and functions of the present solution. Such persons would understand, however, that the solution is not restricted to the illustrated example architectures or configurations, but can be implemented using a variety of alternative architectures and configurations. Additionally, as would be understood by persons of ordinary skill in the art, one or more features of one embodiment can be combined with one or more features of another embodiment described herein. Thus, the breadth and scope of the present disclosure should not be limited by any of the above-described illustrative embodiments.

[0086] It is also understood that any reference to an element herein using a designation such as “first, ” “second, ” and so forth does not generally limit the quantity or order of those elements. Rather, these designations can be used herein as a convenient means of distinguishing between two or more elements or instances of an element. Thus, a reference to first and second elements does not mean that only two elements can be employed, or that the first element must precede the second element in some manner.

[0087] Additionally, a person having ordinary skill in the art would understand that information and signals can be represented using any of a variety of different technologies and techniques. For example, data, instructions, commands, information, signals, bits and symbols, for example, which may be referenced in the above description can be represented by voltages, currents, electromagnetic waves, magnetic fields or particles, optical fields or particles, or any combination thereof.

[0088] A person of ordinary skill in the art would further appreciate that any of the various illustrative logical blocks, modules, processors, means, circuits, methods and functions described in connection with the aspects disclosed herein can be implemented by electronic hardware (e.g., a digital implementation, an analog implementation, or a combination of the two) , firmware, various forms of program or design code incorporating instructions (which can be referred to herein, for convenience, as “software” or a “software module) , or any combination of these techniques. To clearly illustrate this interchangeability of hardware, firmware and software, various illustrative components, blocks, modules, circuits, and steps have been described above generally in terms of their functionality. Whether such functionality is implemented as hardware, firmware or software, or a combination of these techniques, depends upon the particular application and design constraints imposed on the overall system. Skilled artisans can implement the described functionality in various ways for each particular application, but such implementation decisions do not cause a departure from the scope of the present disclosure.

[0089] Furthermore, a person of ordinary skill in the art would understand that various illustrative logical blocks, modules, devices, components and circuits described herein can be implemented within or performed by an integrated circuit (IC) that can include a general purpose processor, a digital signal processor (DSP) , an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) , a field programmable gate array (FPGA) or other programmable logic device, or any combination thereof. The logical blocks, modules, and circuits can further include antennas and / or transceivers to communicate with various components within the network or within the device. A general purpose processor can be a microprocessor, but in the alternative, the processor can be any conventional processor, controller, or state machine. A processor can also be implemented as a combination of computing devices, e.g., a combination of a DSP and a microprocessor, a plurality of microprocessors, one or more  microprocessors in conjunction with a DSP core, or any other suitable configuration to perform the functions described herein.

[0090] If implemented in software, the functions can be stored as one or more instructions or code on a computer-readable medium. Thus, the steps of a method or algorithm disclosed herein can be implemented as software stored on a computer-readable medium. Computer-readable media includes both computer storage media and communication media including any medium that can be enabled to transfer a computer program or code from one place to another. A storage media can be any available media that can be accessed by a computer. By way of example, and not limitation, such computer-readable media can include RAM, ROM, EEPROM, CD-ROM or other optical disk storage, magnetic disk storage or other magnetic storage devices, or any other medium that can be used to store desired program code in the form of instructions or data structures and that can be accessed by a computer.

[0091] In this document, the term “module” as used herein, refers to software, firmware, hardware, and any combination of these elements for performing the associated functions described herein. Additionally, for purpose of discussion, the various modules are described as discrete modules; however, as would be apparent to one of ordinary skill in the art, two or more modules may be combined to form a single module that performs the associated functions according to embodiments of the present solution.

[0092] Additionally, memory or other storage, as well as communication components, may be employed in embodiments of the present solution. It will be appreciated that, for clarity purposes, the above description has described embodiments of the present solution with reference to different functional units and processors. However, it will be apparent that any suitable distribution of functionality between different functional units, processing logic elements or domains may be used without detracting from the present solution. For example, functionality illustrated to be performed by separate processing logic elements, or controllers, may be performed by the same processing logic element, or controller. Hence, references to specific functional units are only references to a suitable means for providing the described functionality, rather than indicative of a strict logical or physical structure or organization.

[0093] Various modifications to the embodiments described in this disclosure will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the general principles defined herein can be applied to other embodiments without departing from the scope of this disclosure. Thus, the disclosure is not intended to be limited to the embodiments shown herein, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the novel features and principles disclosed herein, as recited in the claims below.
