[0001] CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

[0002] The present application is related to, and claims priority to: United States provisional patent application Serial No. 63 / 594, 104, entitled “Method, Apparatus and System for Mission Access Control” , filed on October 30, 2023, the entire contents of both of which are incorporated herein by reference.TECHNICAL FIELD

[0003] The present disclosure relates to wireless communication field, and in particular to a method, apparatus and readable storage medium for communication.BACKGROUND

[0004] In the field of wireless communication technology, 5th Generation Mobile Communication Technology (5G) has been widely used because of its characteristics of “ultra-high speed, ultra-low delay, ultra-large connection” . 5G system architecture includes a control plane and a user plane. The control plane is used to control the data transmission path and bear control signaling, etc. The user plane function in the user plane is mainly responsible for the routing and forwarding of packets and business identification.

[0005] However, the use of 5G system architecture is limited. For example, based on the above content, 5G system architecture in the actual application process, is only responsible for data transmission and forwarding operations, rather than data computing and other data processing operations. Therefore, a new system architecture is needed to solve the above technical problems.SUMMARY

[0015] In one or more possible implementations, the information of the first resource is data information or computing results information of the first resource.

[0016] Please note that DN / device can only send data to target PSF to complete the corresponding task. At this point, the DN / device provides data information to the target PSF. In addition, the DN / device can also perform data processing, and then send the results to the target PSF. In this case, the DN / device provides computing results information to the target PSF.

[0017] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: send a first access completion request to the mission management; receive a first access terminate request, wherein the first access terminate request indicates releasing data session resources of the first apparatus.

[0018] In the second aspect, described may include a second apparatus, comprising: at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive a first invitation from mission management in a communication system, wherein the mission management is used to manage execution of a first mission; provide information of a first resource for a first processing service function in the communication system in response to the first invitation through data session, wherein the first processing service function is used to execute a first task of the first mission.

[0019] In this way, DN / device can help TCF to execute the task after receiving the first invitation, thus making the mission completed smoothly and improving the processing efficiency of the mission.

[0020] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: send a fourth customize request to the mission management, wherein the fourth customize request indicates a first customize request from the mission management to a first task control function corresponding to the first task and includes an identifier of a first task execution corresponding to the first processing service function.

[0021] In one or more possible implementations, the fourth customize request is used to request at least one of the followings: the first processing service function suspends receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session; the first processing service function resumes receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session; the first processing service function adjusts rate for receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session.

[0022] For example, if the DN / device needs to pause data transmission to target PSF, the DN / device may inform the TCF to suspend receiving data transmitted by DN / device. By doing so, the efficiency of mission execution can be increased.

[0023] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive and execute a fifth customize request from the mission management, wherein the fifth customize request indicates a third customize request  from a first task control function corresponding to the first task to the mission management, and includes an identifier of the second apparatus.

[0024] In one or more possible implementations, the fifth customize request is used to request at least one of the followings: the second apparatus suspends providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus resumes providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus adjusts rate for providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session.

[0025] For example, if the target PSF for TCF needs to pause receiving data sent by DN / device, TCF may inform DN / device to suspend transmitting data based on MM. By doing so, after DN / device knows receives the fifth customize request from MM, DN / device can suspend transmitting data. DN / device can adjust the execution of access in time according to TCF’s request.

[0026] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: send status update message to the mission management; receive and execute a sixth customize request from the mission management, wherein the sixth customize request is determined by the mission management based on the status update message, and includes an identifier of the second apparatus.

[0027] In one or more possible implementations, the sixth customize request is used to request at least one of the followings: the second apparatus suspends providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus resumes providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus adjusts rate for providing the information of the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session.

[0028] During the process when DN / device executes access to provide data information or computing results information to the target PSF, DN / device can send status update message to MM. MM can determine the current access performance based on the status update message, and sends sixth customize request to DN / device, to adjust the access process according to the access performance. For example, if MM determines that it can speed up the execution of mission, which means speeding up access speed of DN / device, then MM can request DN / device to speed up data transmission or data processing. By doing so, DN / device can execute the access process according to MM’s request, and the efficiency of mission execution can be improved.

[0029] In one or more possible implementations, the information of the first resource is data information or computing results information of the first resource.

[0030] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: send a second access completion request to the mission management; receive a second access terminate request, wherein the second access terminate request indicates releasing data session resources of the second apparatus.

[0031] In the third aspect, described may include a third apparatus, comprising: at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive a first resource request from a first task control function in a communication system, wherein the first task control function is used to manage execution of a first task of a first mission, and the first resource request includes at least one of the followings: an identifier of a first processing service function executing the first task, an identifier of a second apparatus, type of the second apparatus, and quality requirement for providing information of a first resource; send a first invitation to the second apparatus in response to the first resource request, wherein the first invitation is used to invite the second apparatus to provide the first processing service function with the information of the first resource through data session.

[0032] Please note that after MM receives the first resource request from TCF, MM can select appropriate DN / device according to first resource request. And then, MM may send the first invitation to the selected DN / device for inviting DN / device providing information to target PSF. In this process, MM takes the role of controlling DN / device to provide target PSF with data information or computing results information. By doing so, the efficiency of mission execution can be improved.

[0033] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive a fourth customize request from the second apparatus, wherein the fourth customize request includes an identifier of a first task execution corresponding to the first processing service function; send a first customize request to the first task control function, wherein the first customize request indicates the fourth customize request.

[0034] In one or more possible implementations, the fourth customize request is used to request at least one of the followings: the first processing service function suspends receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session; the first processing service function resumes receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session; the first processing service function adjusts rate for receiving the information of the first resource provided by the second apparatus through the data session.

[0035] For example, if the DN / device needs to pause data transmission to target PSF, the DN / device may inform the TCF based on MM. In this process, MM may receive the fourth customize request from DN / device, and then it sends the first customize request to TCF. By doing so, after TCF receives first customize request, TCF can control target PSF to suspend receiving data transmitted by DN / device. The efficiency of mission execution can thus be improved.

[0036] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive a third customize request from the first task control function, wherein the third customize request includes an identifier of the second apparatus; send a fifth customize request to the second apparatus, wherein the fifth customize request indicates the third customize request.

[0038] For example, if the target PSF for TCF needs to pause receiving data sent by DN / device, TCF may inform DN / device to suspend transmitting data based on MM. In this process, MM may receive the third customize request from TCF, and then it sends the fifth customize request to DN / device. By doing so, after DN / device knows TCF’s request from MM, DN / device can suspend transmitting data. DN / device can adjust the execution of access in time according to TCF’s request. The efficiency of mission execution can thus be improved.

[0039] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive status update message from the second apparatus; send a sixth customize request to the second apparatus based on the status update message.

[0040] In one or more possible implementations, the sixth customize request is used to request at least one of the followings: the second apparatus suspends providing the information the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus resumes providing the information the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session; the second apparatus adjusts rate for providing the information the first resource for the first processing service function through the data session.

[0041] During the process when DN / device executes access to provide data information or computing results information to the target PSF, DN / device can send status update message to MM. And the efficiency of mission execution can be improved.

[0042] In one or more possible implementations, the information of the first resource is data information or computing results information of the first resource.

[0043] In one or more possible implementations, the at least one processor is further configured to: receive a first access completion request from the first task control function, or receive a second access completion request from the second apparatus; send a first access terminate request to the first task control function, or send a second access terminate request to the second apparatus; and delete session resource of the data session.

[0044] By doing so, after the access process is completed, MM can control TCF and DN / device to release session resource of the data session, thus avoiding the session resource taking up too much storage space.

[0045] In the fourth aspect, described may include a communication method, comprising: determining a first resource needed for a first processing service function, by a first apparatus, in a communication system to execute a first task of a first mission; sending a first resource request, by the first apparatus, to mission management in the communication system, wherein the mission management is used to manage execution of the first mission, and the first resource request is used to request a second apparatus to provide the first processing service function with information of the first resource through data session, and the first resource request includes at least one of the followings: an identifier of the first processing service function, an identifier of the second apparatus, type of the second apparatus, and quality requirement for providing the information of the first resource.

[0046] In one or more possible implementations, the communication method further comprising: receiving a first customize request, by the first apparatus, from the mission management; sending a second customize request, by the first apparatus, to the first processing service function for informing the first processing service function to execute the second customize request, wherein the second customize request indicates the first customize request and includes an identifier of the first processing service function.

[0085] Illustrative embodiments of the present disclosure include, but are not limited to, a method, apparatus and readable storage medium for communication.

[0086] Based on above contents, the application of 5G system architecture is limited. Therefore many new trends will trigger the consideration and design of 6G / future wireless networks:

[0087] New network infrastructure capability, e.g., cloud natured / friendly infrastructures that are broadly deployed.

[0088] New (relative) matured techniques, e.g., AI large scale models, Data de-privacy, Block chain, etc. that have made significant progresses and significantly impact on the entire society and human life.

[0089] New apps and services, e.g., AI services, Data (sensing) service, Digital world service, etc. that are broadly applied in industry / business and used by individual customers.

[0090] More global / open / collaborative operation trend, i.e., a more open and more collaborative operation mode are becoming common practice in many fields.

[0091] New expectation and stricter requirements on future networks also drive rethinking and development of new generation of wireless networks. These requirements include

[0092] Privacy and trustworthiness, etc.

[0093] Simplified standardization

[0094] Rapid deployment

[0095] Etc.

[0096] All of the above drives 6G network architecture research work.

[0097] Our proposed 6G network architecture (X-centric) are

[0098] SBA (XaaS (X as a service) service) based

[0099] Cloud-native

[0100] Requirements to 6G System network architecture design:

[0101] The proposed 6G network architecture needs to support new 6G services which could be developed / deployed by 3rd parties.

[0102] The proposed 6G network architecture needs to embrace more open ecosystem to open door to technical capable 3rd parties.

[0103] The proposed 6G network architecture needs to enable better trustworthiness management.

[0104] Solutions to enable above requirements are needed.

[0105] When a device accesses an application through a communication system, e.g. the 5G system or future 6G system, the communication system connects the device to an application location, a network location where the application is located, through a data plane path. The application location corresponds to an application server hosting or running the application. When the device accesses the application, the device communicates with the application server through the data plane path. There may be more than one application location. When multiple devices access the application, the communication system may connect the multiple devices to different application locations.

[0106] This background information is provided to reveal information believed by the applicant to be of possible relevance to the present disclosure. No admission is necessarily intended, nor should be construed, that any of the preceding information constitutes prior art against the present disclosure.

[0107] In the following description, reference is made to the accompanying figures, which form part of the present disclosure, and which show, by way of illustration, specific aspects of the present disclosure or specific aspects in which the present disclosure may be used. It is understood that one aspect of the present disclosure may be used in other aspects and include structural or logical changes not depicted in the figures. The following detailed description, therefore, is not to be taken in a limiting sense, and the scope of the present disclosure is defined by the appended claims.

[0108] To assist in understanding the present disclosure, examples of wireless communication systems and devices are described below.

[0109] Referring to FIG. 1, as an illustrative example without limitation, a simplified schematic illustration of a communication system is provided. The communication system 100 (which may be a wireless system) comprises a radio access network 120. The radio access network (RAN) 120 may be a next generation (e.g. sixth generation (6G) or later) radio access network, or a legacy (e.g. 5G, 4G, 3G or 2nd generation (2G) ) radio access network. One or more communication electronic device (ED) 110a, 110b, 110c, 110d, 110e, 110f, 110g, 110h, 110i, 110j (generically referred to as 110) may be interconnected to one another or connected to one or more network nodes (170a, 170b, generically referred to as 170) in the radio access  network 120. A core network 130 may be a part of the communication system and may be dependent or independent of the radio access technology used in the communication system 100. The communication system 100 may also comprise a public switched telephone network (PSTN) 140, the internet 150, and other networks 160.

[0110] In general, the communication system 100 enables multiple wireless or wired elements to communicate data and other content. The communication system 100 may provide content, such as voice, data, video, and / or text, via broadcast, multicast, groupcast, unicast, etc. And the communication system 100 may provide a wide range of communication services and applications (such as earth monitoring, remote sensing, passive sensing and positioning, navigation and tracking, autonomous delivery and mobility, etc. ) The services and / or applications may be mobile broadband (MBB) services, ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) services, or machine type communication (MTC) services.

[0111] The communication system 100 may operate by sharing resources, such as carrier spectrum bandwidth, between its constituent elements.

[0112] FIG. 2 illustrates more detailed example for communication system 100.

[0113] The communication system 100 may include a terrestrial communication system and / or a non-terrestrial communication system. The communication system 100 may provide a high degree of availability and robustness through a joint operation of a terrestrial communication system and a non-terrestrial communication system. For example, integrating a non-terrestrial communication system (or components thereof) into a terrestrial communication system can result in what may be considered a heterogeneous network comprising multiple layers. The heterogeneous network may achieve better overall performance through efficient multi-link joint operation, more flexible functionality sharing, and faster physical layer link switching between terrestrial networks and non-terrestrial networks.

[0114] The terrestrial communication system and the non-terrestrial communication system could be considered sub-systems of the communication system.

[0136] As shown in FIG. 3, the T-TRP 170 include at least one processor 260. Only one processor 260 is illustrated to avoid congestion in the drawing. The T-TRP 170 may further include at least one transmitter 252 and at least one receiver 254 coupled to one or more antennas 256. Only one antenna 256 is illustrated to avoid congestion in the drawing. One, some, or all of the antennas 256 may alternatively be panels. The transmitter 252 and the receiver 254 may be integrated as a transceiver. The T- TRP 170 may further include at least one memory 258. The T-TRP 170 may further include scheduler 253. Only the transmitter 252, receiver 254, processor 260, memory 258, antenna 256 and scheduler 253 are illustrated for simplicity, but the T-TRP may include one or more other components.

[0137] The T-TRP 170 may be known by other names in some implementations, such as a base station, a base transceiver station (BTS) , a radio base station, a network node, a network device, a device on the network side, a transmit / receive node, a Node B, an evolved NodeB (eNodeB or eNB) , a Home eNodeB, a next Generation NodeB (gNB) , a transmission point (TP) , a site controller, an access point (AP) , a wireless router, a relay station, a terrestrial node, a terrestrial network device, a terrestrial base station, a base band unit (BBU) , a remote radio unit (RRU) , an active antenna unit (AAU) , a remote radio head (RRH) , a central unit (CU) , a distributed unit (DU) , a positioning node, among other possibilities. The T-TRP 170 may be a macro base station (BS) , a pico BS, a relay node, a donor node, or the like, or combinations thereof. The T-TRP 170 may refer to the forgoing devices or refer to apparatus (e.g. a communication module, a modem, or a chip) in the forgoing devices.

[0138] In some embodiments, the parts of the T-TRP 170 may be distributed. For example, some of the modules of the T-TRP 170 may be located remote from the equipment that houses the antennas 256 for the T-TRP 170, and may be coupled to the equipment that houses the antennas 256 over a communication link (not shown) sometimes known as front haul, such as common public radio interface (CPRI) . Therefore, in some embodiments, the term T-TRP 170 may also refer to modules on the network side that perform processing operations, such as determining the location of the ED 110, resource allocation (scheduling) , message generation, and encoding / decoding, and that are not necessarily part of the equipment that houses the antennas 256 of the T-TRP 170. The modules may also be coupled to other T-TRPs. In some embodiments, the T-TRP 170 may actually be a plurality of T-TRPs that are operating together to serve the ED 110, e.g. through the use of coordinated multipoint transmissions.

[0139] The processor 260 performs operations including those related to: preparing a transmission for downlink transmission to the ED 110, processing an uplink transmission received from the ED 110, preparing a transmission for backhaul transmission to the T-TRP 170 and / or NT-TRP 172, and processing a transmission received over backhaul from the T-TRP 170 and / or NT-TRP 172. Processing operations related to preparing a transmission for downlink or backhaul transmission may include operations such as encoding, modulating, precoding (e.g. multiple input multiple output (MIMO) precoding) , transmit beamforming, and generating symbols for transmission. Processing operations related to processing received transmissions in the uplink or over backhaul may include operations such as receive beamforming, demodulating received symbols, and decoding received symbols. The processor 260 may also perform operations relating to network access (e.g. initial access)  and / or downlink synchronization, such as generating the content of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) , generating the system information, etc. In some embodiments, the processor 260 also generates an indication of beam direction, e.g. BAI, which may be scheduled for transmission by a scheduler 253. The processor 260 performs other network-side processing operations described herein, such as determining the location of the ED 110, determining where to deploy the NT-TRP 172, etc. In some embodiments, the processor 260 may generate signaling, e.g. to configure one or more parameters of the ED 110 and / or one or more parameters of the NT-TRP 172. Any signaling generated by the processor 260 is sent by the transmitter 252.

[0140] The scheduler 253 may be coupled to the processor 260 or integrated in the processor 260. The scheduler 253 may be included within or operated separately from the T-TRP 170. The scheduler 253 may schedule uplink, downlink, sidelink, and / or backhaul transmissions, including issuing scheduling grants and / or configuring scheduling-free (e.g., “configured grant” ) resources.

[0141] The memory 258 is configured to store information, and optionally data. The memory 258 stores instructions and data used, generated, or collected by the T-TRP 170. For example, the memory 258 could store software instructions or modules configured to implement some or all of the functionality and / or embodiments described herein and that are executed by the processor 260.

[0142] Although not illustrated, the processor 260 may form part of the transmitter 252 and / or part of the receiver 254. Also, although not illustrated, the processor 260 may implement the scheduler 253. Although not illustrated, the memory 258 may form part of the processor 260.

[0143] The processor 260, the scheduler 253, the processing components of the transmitter 252, and the processing components of the receiver 254 may each be implemented by the same or different one or more processors that are configured to execute instructions stored in a memory, e.g. in the memory 258. Alternatively, some or all of the processor 260, the scheduler 253, the processing components of the transmitter 252, and the processing components of the receiver 254 may be implemented using dedicated circuitry, such as a programmed FPGA, a hardware accelerator (e.g., a GPU or AI accelerator) , or an ASIC.

[0144] When the T-TRP 170 is an apparatus (also called as component) , for example, communication module, modem, chip, or chipset in a device, it includes at least one processor, and an interface or at least one pin. In this scenario, the transmitter 252 and receiver 254 may be replaced by the interface or at least one pin, wherein the interface or at least one pin is to connect the apparatus (e.g., chip) and other apparatus (e.g., chip, memory, or bus) . Accordingly, the transmitting information to the NT-TRP 172 and / or the T-TRP 170 and / or ED 110 may be referred as transmitting information to the interface or at least one pin,  and receiving information from the NT-TRP 172 and / or the T-TRP 170 and / or ED 110 may be referred as receiving information from the interface or at least one pin. The information may include control signaling and / or data.

[0145] Although the NT-TRP 172 is illustrated as a drone only as an example, the NT-TRP 172 may be implemented in any suitable non-terrestrial form, such as satellites and high altitude platforms, including international mobile telecommunication base stations and unmanned aerial vehicles, for example. Also, the NT-TRP 172 may be known by other names in some implementations, such as a non-terrestrial node, a non-terrestrial network device, or a non-terrestrial base station.

[0146] As shown in FIG. 3, The T-TRP 170 may further include at least one transmitter 252 and at least one receiver 254 coupled to one or more antennas 256. Only one antenna 256 is illustrated to avoid congestion in the drawing. One, some, or all of the antennas 256 may alternatively be panels. The transmitter 252 and the receiver 254 may be integrated as a transceiver. The T-TRP 170 may further include at least one memory 258. The T-TRP 170 may further include scheduler 253. Only the transmitter 252, receiver 254, processor 260, memory 258, antenna 256 and scheduler 253 are illustrated for simplicity, but the T-TRP may include one or more other components.

[0147] As shown in FIG. 3, the NT-TRP 172 include at least one processor 276. Only one processor 276 is illustrated to avoid congestion in the drawing. The NT-TRP 172 may include a transmitter 272 and a receiver 274 coupled to one or more antennas 280. Only one antenna 280 is illustrated to avoid congestion in the drawing. One, some, or all of the antennas may alternatively be panels. The transmitter 272 and the receiver 274 may be integrated as a transceiver. The NT-TRP 172 may further include at least one memory 278. The NT-TRP 172 may further include scheduler. Only the transmitter 272, receiver 274, processor 276, memory 278, antenna 280 are illustrated for simplicity, but the NT-TRP may include one or more other components.

[0148] The NT-TRP 172 include a processor 276 for performing operations including those related to: preparing a transmission for downlink transmission to the ED 110, processing an uplink transmission received from the ED 110, preparing a transmission for backhaul transmission to T-TRP 170 and / or another NT-TRP 172, and processing a transmission received over backhaul from the T-TRP 170 and / or another NT-TRP 172. Processing operations related to preparing a transmission for downlink or backhaul transmission may include operations such as encoding, modulating, precoding (e.g. MIMO precoding) , transmit beamforming, and generating symbols for transmission. Processing operations related to processing received transmissions in the uplink or over backhaul may include operations such as receive beamforming, demodulating received symbols, and decoding received symbols. In some embodiments, the processor 276 implements the transmit beamforming and / or receive beamforming based on beam direction information (e.g. BAI) received from the T-TRP 170. In some  embodiments, the processor 276 may generate signaling, e.g. to configure one or more parameters of the ED 110. In some embodiments, the NT-TRP 172 implements physical layer processing, but does not implement higher layer functions such as functions at the medium access control (MAC) or radio link control (RLC) layer. As this is only an example, more generally, the NT-TRP 172 may implement higher layer functions in addition to physical layer processing.

[0149] The memory 278 is configured to store information and optionally data. The memory 258 stores instructions and data used, generated, or collected by the NT-TRP 172. For example, the memory 278 could store software instructions or modules configured to implement some or all of the functionality and / or embodiments described herein and that are executed by the processor 276.

[0150] Although not illustrated, the processor 276 may form part of the transmitter 272 and / or part of the receiver 274. Although not illustrated, the memory 278 may form part of the processor 276.

[0151] The processor 276, the processing components of the transmitter 272, and the processing components of the receiver 274 may each be implemented by the same or different one or more processors that are configured to execute instructions stored in a memory, e.g. in the memory 278. Alternatively, some or all of the processor 276, the processing components of the transmitter 272, and the processing components of the receiver 274 may be implemented using dedicated circuitry, such as a programmed FPGA, a hardware accelerator (e.g., a GPU or AI accelerator) , or an ASIC. In some embodiments, the NT-TRP 172 may actually be a plurality of NT-TRPs that are operating together to serve the ED 110, e.g. through coordinated multipoint transmissions.

[0152] When the NT-TRP 172 is an apparatus (e.g. communication module, modem, chip, or chipset) in a device, it includes at least one processor, and an interface or at least one pin. In this scenario, the transmitter 272 and receiver 257 may be replaced by the interface or at least one pin, wherein the interface or at least one pin is to connect the apparatus (e.g., chip) and other apparatus (e.g., chip, memory, or bus) . Accordingly, the transmitting information to the T-TRP 170 and / or another NT-TRP 172 and / or ED 110 may be referred as transmitting information to the interface or at least one pin, and receiving information from the T-TRP 170 and / or another NT-TRP 172 and / or ED 110 may be referred as receiving information from the interface or at least one pin. The information may include control signaling and / or data.

[0153] Note that “TRP” , as used herein, may refer to a T-TRP or a NT-TRP. A T-TRP may alternatively be called a terrestrial network TRP ( “TN TRP” ) and a NT-TRP may alternatively be called a non-terrestrial network TRP ( “NTN TRP” ) . The T-TRP 170, the NT-TRP 172, and / or the ED 110 may include other components, but these have been omitted for the sake of clarity.

[0154] Note that “signaling” , as used herein, may alternatively be called control signaling, control message, control information, or message for simplicity. Signaling between a BS (e.g., the network node 170) and a terminal or sensing device (e.g., ED 110) , or signaling between different terminal or sensing device (e.g., between ED 110i and ED110j) may be carried in physical layer signaling (also called as dynamic signaling) , which is transmitted in a physical layer control channel. For downlink the physical layer signaling may be known as downlink control information (DCI) which is transmitted in a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) . For uplink, the physical layer signaling may be known as uplink control information (UCI) which is transmitted in a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) . For sidelink, signaling between different terminal or sensing device (e.g., between ED 110i and ED110j) may be known as sidelink control information (SCI) which is transmitted in a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) . Signaling may be carried in a higher-layer (e.g., higher than physical layer) signaling, which is transmitted in a physical layer data channel, e.g. in a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) for downlink signaling, in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for uplink signaling, and in a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) for sidelink signaling. Higher-layer signaling may also called static signaling, or semi-static signaling. Higher-layer signaling may be radio resource control (RRC) protocol signaling or media access control –control element (MAC-CE) signaling. Signaling may be included in a combination of physical layer signaling and higher layer signaling.

[0155] It should be noted that in present disclosure, “information” , when different from “message” , may be carried in one single message, or be carried in more than one separate message.

[0156] One or more steps of the methods provided in this disclosure herein may be performed by corresponding units or modules, according to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 illustrates units or modules in a device or apparatus, such as in the ED 110, in the T-TRP 170, or in the NT-TRP 172. For example, a signal may be transmitted by a transmitting unit or by a transmitting module. A signal may be received by a receiving unit or by a receiving module. A signal may be processed by a processing unit or a processing module. Other steps may be performed by an artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) module. The respective units or modules may be implemented using hardware, one or more components or devices that execute software, or a combination thereof. For instance, one or more of the units or modules may be a circuit such as an integrated circuit. Examples of an integrated circuit includes a programmed FPGA, a GPU, or an ASIC. For instance, one or more of the units or modules may be logical such as a logical function performed by a circuit, by a portion of an integrated circuit, or by software instructions executed by a processor. It will be appreciated that where the modules are implemented using software for execution by a processor for example, the modules may be retrieved by a processor, in whole or part as needed, individually or  together for processing, in single or multiple instances, and that the modules themselves may include instructions for further deployment and instantiation. For other nodes / entities in this disclosure, similar units or modules applies.

[0157] Additional details regarding the EDs 110, the T-TRP 170, and the NT-TRP 172 are known to those of skill in the art. As such, these details are omitted here.

[0158] The proposed 6G System architecture is defined to support 6G XaaS services by using techniques such as Network Function Virtualization and Network Slicing. The 6G System architecture utilizes service-based interactions between 6G services.

[0159] The 6G System leverages service-based architecture and XaaS concept. XaaS services in the 6G System are categorized into three layers. The 6G System conceptual structure is shown in FIG. 5.

[0161] Each of the infrastructures could have its control and management functions, denoted as C / M functions, for infrastructure management. Each of these infrastructures is one type of Infrastructure as a Service.

[0162] Control and Management (C / M) layer includes control and management services of the 6G System. They are developed and deployed by using slicing techniques and utilizing resource provided by infrastructure layer. 6G services in Control and Management (C / M) layer are:

[0163] Resource Management (RM) as a Service provides a capability of life-cycle management of a variety of slices and over-the-air resource assignment to wireless devices.

[0164] A 6G mission is defined as a service provided to customers by the 6G System. A mission can be a type of services which is provided by a single 6G XaaS service or a type of services that needs contributions from multiple XaaS services.

[0165] Mission Management (MM) as a Service provides a capability to program provisioning of XaaS services at Service Layer to provide mission services.

[0166] Confederation Network (CONET) as a Service provides a capability to enable multiple partners jointly provide 6G services. This capability is provided by confederation formation, mutual authentication, mutual authorization among partners and negotiation of agreement on recording and retracing of selected actions performed by partners, in order to assure a trustworthy environment of 6G System operations.

[0167] Service Provisioning Management (SPM) as a Service provides a capability of control and management of 6G service access by customers and provisioning of requested services. The capability is provided by unified mutual authentication, authorization and policy, key management, QoS assurance and charging between any pair of XaaS service provider and customer. The customers include end-customers not only in physical world, but also digital representatives in digital world.

[0168] Connectivity Management (CM) as a Service leverages 5G connectivity management functions, but with extension to include digital world.

[0169] Protocol as a Service provides a capability to design service customized protocol stacks for identified interfaces.

[0170] The protocol stacks could be pre-defined for on-demand selection, or could be on-demand designed.

[0171] Network Security as a Service provides a capability for owners of infrastructures to detect potential security risks of their infrastructures.

[0172] XaaS services in C / M Layer support control and management of the 6G System itself and also provide support to verticals if requested. One example is that RM service can serve RAN for over-the-air resource management and can also provide service to a vertical for the vertical’s over-the-air resource allocation to its end-customers. The XaaS in C / M layer can be deployed by using slicing technique.

[0173] Service Layer includes 6G services which provide services to customers. In the 6G System conceptual structure:

[0174] AI service is denoted as NET4AI as a Service. Artificial Intelligence service provides AI capability to support a variety of AI applications.

[0175] Service of data collection, data sanitization, data analysis and data delivery are denoted as data analytics and management (DAM) as a Service, this service provides a capability of lifecycle management of statistic data, including acquisition, de-privatization, analysis and delivery of data which are information statistic data from any types of sensors, devices, network functions, and etc.

[0176] Service of storage and sharing of data is denoted as NET4Data as a Service, this service provides a capability to trustworthily storage and share data under the control of owners of data and following recognized authorities’ regulations on control of identified data.

[0177] Service to provide digital world is denoted as NET4DW as a Service, Digital World service provides a capability to construct, control and manage digital world. Digital world is defined as digital realization of physical world.

[0178] 6G block chain service is denoted as NET4BC as a Service. 6G connectivity service is denoted as NET4Con as a Service. This service provides a capability to support 6G block chain services.

[0179] Enhanced connectivity service, e.g., network for connectivity (NET4CON) as a service. This service provides a capability to support exchange of messages and data among new 6G services.

[0180] All XaaS services at this Layer are developed and deployed by using resource provided in infrastructure and utilizing Network Function Virtualization and Slicing techniques. The capability of each of 6G services is provided by its control and management functions and service specific data process functions.

[0181] In addition to support 6G XaaS services at Service Layer, 6G System leverages 5G System for provisioning of vertical services. The difference between 6G XaaS services and other verticals are that a vertical is a pure customer which needs other XaaS services to enable its operation, while each of XaaS services provide their capabilities to 6G customers.

[0182] Any pair of XaaS services of the 6G System could also be mutual customer and provider of each other. Some of example are that an infrastructure owner provides its resource to XaaS services in Service Layer and C / M Layer; RM services may need the capabilities provided by NET4AI, DAM and NET4DW for its resource management for vertical slicing; CONET service and NET4Data service may need the capability provided by NET4BC for their operation.

[0183] The key concepts of 6G System includes:

[0184] Define Basic XaaS Services by decoupling comprehensive types of services into basic XaaS services. A basic XaaS service provides unique capability to enable a specific type of service, such as NET4AI service, NET4DW service, DAM service, NET4Data service, Block chain service, mission management service, etc.

[0185] Allow joint operation of the 6G System by multiple partners.

[0186] Define Data Plane of the 6G System which includes processing functions of data plane of XaaS services. Programing the interconnection of these functions, by mission management service, enables to support a variety of customized customer services.

[0187] Simplify 6G System architecture by categorizing basic control services and management services and combining them as basic XaaS services in Control and Management (C / M) Layer.

[0188] Define C / M Plane of the 6G System which includes C / M functions in XaaS services and may include 5G control plane (CP) (e.g., AMF) depending on implementation options.

[0189] Define Basic Architecture Structure (BAS) which is a unified basic structure with minimized number of interfaces and is independent of types of infrastructures.

[0190] Simplify standardization, development and deployment of the 6G System using the BAS concept, while supporting a variety of infrastructure deployment scenarios.

[0191] Adapt to a variety of deployment scenarios by applying the BAS or a subset of it to infrastructures based on capability, capacity and requirement of the infrastructure networks.

[0192] Leverage SBI interface concept and apply SBI interaction in both 6G C / M plane and 6G data plane.

[0193] Simplify service based Interface (SBI) interfaces by introducing trustworthy GWs in Data Plane and C / M Plane of the 6G System.

[0194] Improve trustworthiness from perspectives of operation of the 6G System by introducing CONET capability, NET4BC capability and anonymous service provisioning provided by the trustworthy GWs in the C / M plane and data plane of the 6G System.

[0195] Improve trustworthiness from perspective of end customer privacy protection by unified mutual authentication, ID management (IDM) , data sanitization and etc. provided by SPM service, DAM service and 6G Block Chain service.

[0196] Simplify roaming management of wireless devices, in physical world and digital world, by unified authentication including all participated partners and customers.

[0197] Support multiple development paths from 5G System to 6G System by defining multiple architecture options without incurring much efforts due to the introduction of the BAS concept.

[0198] Support backward compatibility by utilizing benefits of SBA and its add-on feature. 5G users can use the 6G System to access 5G services.

[0199] Support future extension by adding new XaaS services with minimized impact on standardization and deployment, due to the introduced anonymous service provisioning concept implemented in trustworthy GWs in 6G C / M plane and in 6G data plane.

[0200] The system of 6G network using an architecture illustrated in FIG. 6A. The architecture includes a number of network functions such as one or more of: MM (mission management) , TCF (task control function) , and PSF (processing service function) . Please note that the apparatus, units and modules shown in FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 may also applied for MM, TCF, and PSF.

[0201] Each function involved in FIG. 6A will be described in the following contents.

[0202] Mission management (MM) : The MM includes control / management plane (CP) functions to manage / coordinate one or multiple mission executions (ME (s) ) . The MM controls and coordinates an ME over an instance of the mission, including starting, pausing, resuming, stopping, terminating the ME. The MM can conduct mission execution management by starting, pausing, resuming, or terminating the ME according to a request (e.g. from a mission customer) or upon certain event (e.g. a  time event) . The MM is responsible for establishing data plane paths among CB instance (s) within the mission instance and between mission participants (e.g. UEs) and the CB instance (s) for the mission execution. The MM can coordinates the access of mission participants, e.g. devices or DN, to the mission execution. The procedures to initiate, coordinate, and terminate a device / DN to access a ME are referred to as mission access control (or mission access management) , which includes device access control and DN access control.

[0203] Task control function (TCF) : The TCF controls and coordinates an TE, including starting, stopping, and terminating the TE. The TCF starts, stops or terminates the TE as part of a ME according to request (s) from the MM. The TCF is informed by the MM that a network entity, e.g. a device, is accessing / participating the TE. The TCF can accordingly invite the network entity at right time, e.g. when task resources are ready, to access / participate the TE, wherein the network entity may provide data to support the task execution or receives data related to the TE. Task context related to the TE is maintained in the CP of the service module and in the DP of the service module before the task execution is terminated.

[0204] Processing service function (PSF) : The PSF receives and processes DP traffic. The PSF may generate data plane traffic. The PSF may transmit its received data plane traffic (possibly after processing) or generated data plane traffic to other PSFs or the DN or the UE via one or multiple data plane gateways, a. k. a. data gateways (data GWs) , which are similar to UPFs (user plane functions) in the 5G system.

[0205] A mission is to achieve a designated goal, known as mission goal, which includes 1) providing protocol data unit (PDU) connectivity and optionally 2) providing data processing. When the mission goal includes providing data processing, the mission goal is associated with specific computational problem (s) , and providing data processing refers to solving the specific computational problem (s) . In this case, the mission includes one or multiple computing blocks (CBs) and is associated with a networking procedure among the CBs for solving the specific computational problem (s) . A CB within the mission corresponds to a defined computational step toward the mission goal (i.e. solving the specific computational problem (s) ) and may be supported by a service (in the form of a task) , a data network (DN) , or another mission; accordingly, the CB is referred to as a task CB, an external CB or a sub-mission CB. Mission management includes programming a mission, instantiating a mission and achieving a mission goal.

[0206] A mission slice is a logical network that provides specific capabilities and characteristics in networking and computing (including storage) for a mission. A CB within the mission corresponds to a subnet, referred to as CB subnet, of the mission slice. The CB subnet provides computing functionalities of achieving the corresponding computational step toward the mission goal. A mission slice instance incudes a set of network function instances and the required resources (e.g. computing,  storage, and networking resources) and computing logic (e.g. in terms of parameter configuration) which form a deployed mission slice. A mission service is a service that provides achieving of a mission goal, a. k. a. executing of a mission, between a network entity (NE) , e.g. a UE or an AS, and a DN. A mission session refers to an association between an NE and a DN, providing a mission service with support from a mission slice instance.

[0207] Without ambiguity, mission and mission slice are used interchangeably for ease of presentation unless clarified; likewise, CB and CB subnet are used interchangeably. When a mission is instantiated, a mission slice instance is created for the mission. The mission slice instance is thus considered an instance of the mission. For each CB within the mission, the mission instance includes an instance of the CB. If the CB is a task CB, the CB instance is located in a XaaS service module (or, a service module for simplicity) supporting the task CB; if the CB is an external CB, the CB instance is located in the respective DN; if the CB is a sub-mission CB, the CB instance is an instance of a mission corresponding to the CB. The mission can have multiple instances. A CB instance may be shared by multiple mission instances when the CB instance is stateless. Likewise, a mission instance may be shared by (i.e. support) multiple applications when the mission instance is stateless. A mission instance is stateless if and only if the mission instance does not include stateful CB instances.

[0208] An application located in a DN can be a customer of a mission and provide an application service to its users by making use of an execution of the mission. The mission can support more than one application. A mission supports an application through a mission instance. A mission can act as an application and natively provides an application service to the application users; in this case, the application is considered located in the mission. An authorized NE uses a mission session to access the application, the mission session targeting a DN where the application is located and being supported by an instance of the mission. When the application is located in the mission, the DN is an abstract DN and corresponds to the mission. The mission instance can be used to support more than one application. Different applications may be supported by different instances of a mission.

[0209] To support an application through a mission instance as described above, a mission session must be established over the mission instance. During the establishment of the mission session, both the data plane (e.g. data plane path (s) across CB instance (s) ) and the control plane (e.g. MCF (s) and TCF (s) ) are configured for the mission session.

[0210] In FIG. 6A, MM is used to control the execution of a mission. This embodiment does not restrict the type of mission. For example, a mission can be an image processing task, an autopilot task, etc. MM can split a mission into multiple tasks and control TCF to execute corresponding task by sending request to TCF to achieve the mission. As shown in FIG. 6A, after  receiving request from MM, the TCF controls respective PSF to execute data processing corresponding to each task. When all tasks are completed, the mission is also completed.

[0211] For example, in FIG. 6A, TCF controls three PSFs in series to execute Task A1 (Task A. 1 execution) , and when all these three PSFs have completed their respective data processing process, TCF has completed the corresponding task.

[0212] It can be understood that only one TCF is shown in FIG. 6A, but this does not constitute a whole limitation on the number of TCF corresponding to the MM in this embodiment. That is to say, the number of TCF can be greater. In this case, as shown in FIG. 6A, after PSF3 of TCF1 has completed the data processing process, it can send the data processing results which are the results of TE A1 to corresponding PSF of another TCF, in order to complete the mission through joint work of multiple TCFs. When each TCF finishes its task, MM also finishes its mission issued by MC.

[0213] Please note that this embodiment does not limit the number of TCF controlled by a MM, the number of TCF can be determined according to the mission. In addition, the TCF in FIG. 6A can be used to execute one task (Task A. 1) , but also can be used to perform other tasks which are not shown in the figure. What’s more, the number of PSF corresponding to each task and the connection way between PSFs are both unlimited. In FIG. 6A, the MM is responsible for execution of only one mission, but the number of missions managed by MM is not limited. For example, a MM can also be responsible for more than one mission.

[0214] However, based on the network architecture shown in FIG. 6A above, if PSF has low computing power and slow processing speed for data, it will result in a longer completion time duration for the task corresponding to TCF, thus increasing the processing time duration of the mission and deceasing mission processing efficiency. In addition, in TE process, if the PSF lacks some data, such as the PSF needs to complete a task based on data that is uploaded in real time by other devices, then, without these data, the corresponding task cannot be completed, thus affecting the TE process, which leads to the mission cannot be completed.

[0215] Therefore, in order to solve the above technical problems, this disclosure provides an alternative network architecture as shown in FIG. 6B. The network architecture has a device and / or a data network (DN) compared to the one shown in FIG. 6A. Device / DN can provide computing resource for PSF when computing power is low and data processing speed is slow. In other words, device / DN can help PSF do data processing, thus decreasing the processing time duration of the mission and improving mission processing efficiency. In addition, device / DN can also provide PSF with the data resource needed by PSF to execute task to make mission completed successfully.

[0216] In some embodiments, TCF can send a first resource request to MM after TCF determines the first resource (such as computing resource or data resource) that the PSF needs in the TE process. The first resource request is used to request device / DN to provide the first resource for the corresponding PSF (for example, the target PSF) . After MM receives the first resource request, a data session is established between device / DN and the target PSF, which can be used by device / DN to provide the first resource to the target PSF. After the data session is set up, MM can send the first invitation to device / DN, inviting device / DN to provide the first resource for the target PSF. Once device / DN receives the first invitation, it can provide the first resource for the target PSF through the data session to help complete the mission.

[0217] The function of Device / DN is described in detail below in conjunction with FIG. 6B.

[0218] Device / DN: An authorized network entity, e.g. a device or an DN / AS, may subscribe to information about available mission session (s) , and may access ME (by connecting to a data processing function in a TE involved in the ME) to provide data / computing resources / capabilities for the TE. The TE accessed / connected by the device / DN is referred to as the target TE, or access point. A device may include CP function (s) and DP function (s) . A DN may be implemented in DP and it is managed by an associated application function (AF) in CP. The procedures to coordinate the device / DN access behavior (s) during the mission access control is referred to as device / DN access control, which happens between the MM and the CP func.  / AF of the device / DN. When a device / DN is accessing the ME, the DP data session between the device / DN and the target PSF is referred to as D2P data session. One end of a D2P data session is the device / DN, the other end of the D2P data session is a PSF, i.e., target PSF, which conducts data exchange with the device / DN via the D2P data session. The device may be an ED 110 mentioned above.

[0219] Specifically, in FIG. 6B, the device includes the CP function and the DP function, with the CP function in the control plane and the DP function in the data plane. MM can control CP function in the device to make the device access ME based on DP function, and the process that MM controls the device to access ME can be defined as device access control. In addition, the DP function in the device accesses the ME by accessing the corresponding PSF (the target PSF2) , and the session in which the DP function communicates with the target PSF2 can be defined as the D2P data session 1.

[0220] In addition, the data network is in the data plane, the AF function is in the control / management plane, and the data network can be managed by the AF function in the control plane. MM can make data network access ME by controlling AF function, and the process that MM controls data network to access ME can be defined as DN access control. In addition, the DN accesses the ME by accessing the corresponding PSF (the target PSF1) , and the session in which the DN communicates with the target PSF1 can be defined as the D2P data session 2.

[0221] The embodiment does not restrict the type of apparatus that communicates with the ME. ME can only communicate with the device, or it can only communicate with the data network. What’s more, ME can also communicate with both device and data network at the same time respectively. In addition, the embodiment does not limit the number of devices or DN that communicate with ME. The number of devices or DN can be determined according to the actual application scenarios.

[0222] Please note that the device / DN accesses the ME for the purpose of executing task in concert with the corresponding target PSF. Taking the communication between DP function and target PSF2 as an example, DP function can only send data to target PSF2 to complete the corresponding task. At this point, the device provides data information to the target PSF2. In addition, the DP function can also perform data processing, and then send the results to the target PSF2. In this case, the device provides computing results information to the target PSF2. The principle of communication between DN and target PSF1 is similar to that between DP function and target PSF2, which is not described herein.

[0223] In summary, device / DN makes mission be completed by providing data information to the corresponding target PSF, or device / DN can reduce the processing time for mission, thus increasing processing efficiency for mission by providing computing results information for the corresponding target PSF.

[0224] Based on the network structure shown in FIG. 6B above, this disclosure further proposes a control method for the mission access procedure of device / DN, also known as the network triggered mission access procedure.

[0225] In the mission execution concept and mission access concept, network triggered mission access procedure is, execution control procedures for DN / device accessing the ME, and mission access termination procedure to release D2P data session (s) after the mission access completion is needed.

[0226] Execution control procedures for DN / device accessing the ME can include controls on the timing at which device / DN begins to access the ME, and on the rate at which information is sent / received during device / DN accessing the ME.

[0227] For illustrative purposes, specific example embodiments will now be explained in greater detail in conjunction with the figures and above mentioned system, ED and TRP and network entities.

[0228] The embodiments set forth herein represent information sufficient to practice the claimed subject matter and illustrate ways of practicing such subject matter. Upon reading the following description in light of the accompanying figures, those of skill in the art will understand the concepts of the claimed subject matter and will recognize applications of these concepts not particularly addressed herein. It should be understood that these concepts and applications fall within the scope of the disclosure.

[0229] Accordingly, a method is provided in the disclosure. The method may include the following procedures: 1) a network triggered mission access control procedure; 2) execution control procedures for DN / device accessing the ME, which include:  the MM triggered DN / device execution customization, the TCF triggered DN / device execution customization, and the DN / device triggered TE customization; 3) a mission access termination procedure.

[0230] FIG. 7 shows an example method of network triggered mission access control for this disclosure. The network triggered mission access control enables the network-side to invite a specific device / DN to access the ME.

[0231] In details, the network triggered mission access control procedure includes one or more steps shown in FIG. 7:

[0232] 701: TCF triggers DN / device access request to the MM: to request potential DN / device providing data / computing capabilities to its TE. The request includes at least one of:

[0233] information identifying the access point (e.g., CBI ID) ,

[0234] information identifying the target PSF (s) (e.g., PSF ID / address) ,

[0235] DN / device requirements (e.g., device ID (s) , allowed device type (s) for access, QoS requirements for device-to-target PSF (D2P) communication and device data processing) .

[0236] Please note that DN / device access request can be an example of first resource request, and DN / device can be an example of second apparatus.

[0237] Please note that TCF (as an example of the first task control function) may lack some data when controlling the corresponding PSF to execute task, or some other external devices or data networks are needed to do the data processing with the PSF because of PSF’s insufficient computing capacity. In these cases, TCF can send DN / device access request to the MM.

[0238] The DN / device access request can include the identifier of the target TE that needs to be accessed by DN / device. For example, the ID of the computing module (CBI) executing the target TE can be used as the ID of the target TE. In FIG. 6B, for example, if TCF wants DN / device access TE A1, it can send the identifier of TE A1, such as TE ID, to the MM. By doing so, DN / device can know that it can access TE A1, instead of other TEs.

[0239] The DN / device access request may further include information about the target PSF to be accessed, such as the ID or address of the target PSF. Taking FIG. 6B as an example, if TCF wants DN to access the target PSF1 of TE A1, and wants the device to access the target PSF2 of TE A1, the ID or address of the target PSF1 and the target PSF2 can be sent to MM. Thus, after DN obtains the ID or address of the target PSF1 from MM, it can determine that it can access the target PSF1 to provide the target PSF1 with data information or computing results information. Similarly, after device obtains the ID or address of the target PSF2 from the MM, it can determine that it can access the target PSF2 to provide the target PSF2 with data information or computing results information.

[0240] TCF’s requirements for DN / device can be further included in the DN / device access request. For example, if TCF determines which DN / device is required to execute access, it can send the ID of the DN / device executing the access to MM. MM can then control the corresponding DN / device to execute the access based on the ID of the DN / device. For another example, if TCF has determined the type of DN / device executing the access, it can also send the type of DN / device to MM. After MM receives the type of DN / device, it can select DN / device that meets the requirements on type of TCF, and control the selected DN / device to execute the access. For another example, if TCF has requirements for the transmitting speed, quality of the data that DN / device transmits to the target PSF (that is, the QoS of the data transmission) , and / or TCF has requirements for DN / device’s data processing speed, quality (that is, the QoS of data processing) , TCF can also send the above requirements to MM.MM can then select DN / device that meets the requirements of TCF based on the above requirements and control the selected DN / device to execute the access.

[0241] 702: MM performs mission access establishment for the DN / device.

[0242] In details, the MM selects one or multiple DN / device (s) (info are pre-stored, e.g., in a network repository function (NRF) ) , and establish the mission access for those DN / device (s) . This step may be bypassed if the mission access for the selected DN / device (s) has been established.

[0243] In the exemplary embodiment, after the MM receives the DN / device access request sent by TCF, it selects a DN / device conforming to TCF’s requirements from the DN / Device library based on the information in the DN / device access request. Please note that all DN / devices in the DN / device library are registered to MM, which means that MM has information about each DN / device, such as data processing capability, data transfer capability, ID, and type of each DN / device. After MM determines the DN / device to access TE A1, it can establish a D2P data session between the selected DN / device and the respective target PSF. For example, MM can enable DN / device access the corresponding target PSF by establishing session interface for the DN / device and the target PSF.

[0244] In FIG. 6B, for example, after MM selects device and DN, it can set up D2P data session 2 for communication between DN and target PSF1, and D2P data session 1 for communication between device and target PSF2. Take that MM sets up D2P data session 1 for communication between device and target PSF2 as an example, MM can create a first interface on device and a second interface on target PSF2, and the first interface and the second interface share the same data transfer protocol, to ensure that the device and target PSF2 can transfer data through their respective interfaces. Please note that after the first and second interfaces are set, the D2P data session 1 between device and target PSF2 is created.

[0245] 703: MM sends DN / device access invite information to the DN / device (selected in step 702) : to invite the selected DN / device to access the ME via the access point. The DN / device access invite information includes at least one of:

[0246] ID and information (e.g., supported communication QoS) of the D2P data session,

[0247] QoS requirements for data processing on DN / device,

[0248] scheduled start time for DN / device execution.

[0249] Please note that DN / device access invite information can be included in the first invitation that MM sends to DN / device.

[0250] After the MM has established a corresponding D2P data session, it can send DN / device access invite information to DN / device. In some embodiments, DN / device access invite information can include the information included in the DN / device access request in step 701 above.

[0251] For example, based on step 701 above, if TCF sends the CBI ID corresponding to TE A1 and the ID of the target PSF to MM, MM can send these information to the corresponding DN / device. Once DN / device receives these information, it can determine which the object to be accessed.

[0252] For another example, if TCF sends QoS of data transmission and / or QoS of DN / device’s data processing to MM, in this step MM can send these information to the corresponding DN / device, to enable that DN / device can meet TCF’s requirements when DN / device transmits data and / or does data processing.

[0253] In addition to the information contained in DN / device access request in step 701 above, DN / device access invite information can also include identifier of the D2P data session established for DN / device (such as ID) . For example, in FIG. 6B, MM can send the ID of D2P data session 1 to device, so that the device can determine that it can transmit data through D2P data session 1 to target PSF2.

[0254] In addition, MM can also send the start time of DN / device’s access to DN / device. The start time can be sent from TCF to MM or determined by MM based on current mission performance, which is not restricted in this embodiment of the application. After DN / device receives the start time, DN / device can execute the access according to the start time, which can guarantee the accuracy of the execution of the access.

[0255] 704: The MM performs DN / device Access control.

[0256] Please note that when the DN / device receives the DN / device access invite information, it can access the target PSF based on the information. In addition, during DN / device’s access to the corresponding target PSF, MM can coordinate the communication process between DN / device and target PSF.

[0257] In details, the MM may coordinate the DN / device execution in parallel with the execution of the target TE (i.e., access point) .

[0258] For example, if there is an exception during execution of TE A1 and TE A1 may be paused, TCF may inform the DN / device to suspend access process through MM. In another example, if MM decides there is a need to speed up the execution of a task based on the current task performance, then MM can send a request to DN / device to speed up the data transmission or data processing. In another example, if there is an exception of DN / device and the access process may be paused (for example, suspend sending data to the corresponding target PSF) , DN / device may inform TCF to pause receiving data sent by DN / device based on MM.

[0259] To sum up, the DN / device access control can broadly include the following aspects: MM triggered DN / device execution customization procedure; DN / device triggered TE customization procedure; and TCF triggered DN / device execution customization procedure.

[0260] Detailed DN / device access control procedures are described in later contents.

[0261] 705a: The DN / device may request the MM to complete the DN / device access of the ME by sending the DN / device requested mission access complete message.

[0262] It can be understood that DN / device requested mission access complete message can be included in the first access completion request sent by DN / device to MM.

[0263] 705b: The TCF may request the MM to complete the DN / device access of the ME by sending the TCF requested mission access complete message.

[0264] It can be understood that TCF requested mission access complete message can be included in the second access completion request sent by TCF to MM.

[0265] That is to say, both TCF of the access point and the DN / device may request the MM to complete the DN / device access of the ME by sending the TCF requested mission access complete message (705b) and DN / device requested mission access complete message (705a) to the MM, respectively. The message in 705a and 705b may include the indicator for the mission access completion.

[0266] At the end of DN / device’s access, either DN / device or TCF can send an access completion request to MM. For example, TCF can send a first access completion request to MM and DN / device can send a second access completion request to the MM.

[0267] Please note that when at least one of DN / device and TCF sends an access completion request to MM, MM can terminate access of DN / device. For example, the access completion request can include an identifier that indicates the termination of access of DN / device, such as the number 1.

[0268] 706: MM performs DN / device access termination.

[0269] The DN / device access termination process can include, for example, MM sends DN / device access terminate request to DN / device, to control DN / device to terminate the access process and release the D2P access data session corresponding to DN / device.

[0270] In details, after receiving the message in 705a and 705b, the MM may trigger the DN / device access termination procedure to release the D2P access data session (s) .

[0271] In addition, the DN / device access termination process can also include that MM sends PSF access terminate request to TCF to cause TCF to terminate the access process and release the corresponding D2P access data session.

[0272] Taking FIG. 6B as an example, releasing the D2P access data session can indicate that DN / device and TCF can delete the interface information corresponding to D2P data session1 and D2P data session 2 respectively.

[0273] In some embodiments, if the communication between DN / device and the corresponding target PSF is based on forwarding of data gateway (data-GW) , the process of DN / device access termination can further include that MM sends the D2P data session info release request to data-GW, to control data-GW to terminate the data forwarding process and release the corresponding D2P access data session information.

[0274] Details of the DN / device access termination procedure are described in later contents.

[0275] This procedure enables the network to conduct the mission access control, which includes: initiate and terminate the DN / device access of the ME, and customize the DN / device execution behavior (s) during the DN / device accessing the ME. By doing this, the traffic load may be better controlled.

[0276] The disclosure also provides a method of DN / device access control.

[0277] The step 704 will be described in detail in the following contents.

[0278] In details, the DN / device access control may include several procedures: 1) MM triggered DN / device execution customization procedure as shown in FIG. 8, 2) DN / device triggered TE customization procedure shown in FIG. 9, and 3) TCF triggered DN / device execution customization procedure shown in FIG. 10.

[0279] The above three cases are described below.

[0280] 1) MM triggered DN / device execution customization procedure

[0281] The MM triggered DN / device execution customization procedure may happen during the DN / device access control. FIG. 8 shows the MM triggered DN / device execution customization procedure:

[0282] Please note that after steps 701 to 703 are finished, DN / device can execute access to provide data information or computing results information to the target PSF. During this process, MM also determines the current access performance based on the status update message sent to MM by DN / device, and triggers the DN / device execution customization procedure, to adjust the access process according to the access performance. For example, if MM determines that it can speed up the execution of mission, which means speeding up access speed of DN / device, then MM can send a request to DN / device, requesting DN / device to speed up data transmission or data processing.

[0283] 801: DN / device sends a DN / device status update message to MM.

[0284] The DN / device status update message informs the MM about the device execution status. This message may include at least one of: 1) percentage of the progress of the device execution; 2) indicator / information of local coordination behaviors made by the device (e.g., a pause indicator indicates the device execution is paused by device decision; etc. )

[0285] Optionally, after receiving the DN / device status update message, the MM may send a DN / device status update response message to the DN / device to indicate the reception of the DN / device status update message.

[0286] Based on above content, after steps 701 to 703 are finished, or during the process of DN / device’s access, DN / device can send status update message to MM in real time or periodically, so that the MM executes the DN / device access control process based on the status update message.

[0287] The DN / device status update message can include percentage of process where DN / device accesses ME. For example, when DN / device assists target PSF in a data processing, the percentage of data processing can be sent from DN / device to MM. If MM determines that the access speed is relatively slow based on the percentage of the current access process, MM can send a request to DN / device, requesting DN / device to increase the data transmission speed to the target PSF and / or increase the data processing speed of DN / device. This method can ensure efficient mission execution.

[0288] In addition, the DN / device status update message can also include the current status of DN / device. For example, if the DN / device is currently in a paused access status, DN / device can send identifier of the paused access status to MM. MM can send a request to DN / device when it determines to resume DN / device’s access. For example, the number 1 can be used as a pause indicator to indicate that the device execution is paused by device decision.

[0289] 802: According to the received DN / device execution status update message, the MM may decide to trigger the DN / device execution customization procedure to customize the DN / device execution (e.g., pause / resume exec., increase the exec. speed) . The DN / device execution customization procedure may include at least one of the following steps.

[0290] 802.1: MM sends a DN / device execution customize request to DN / device.

[0291] The DN / device execution customize request requests the customization of DN / device execution behavior (s) . The message may include: DN / device ID, customize command (s) (e.g., pause / resume the device execution) .

[0292] As described earlier, MM can determine the DN / device execution customization procedure based on the current state of the DN / device and the status of the task, and then send the DN / device execution customize request to DN / device, wherein the DN / device execution customize request can be used as an example of the sixth customize request.

[0293] The DN / device execution customize request can include DN / device ID, to ensure that the correct DN / device can execute DN / device customize execution request; and the request can also include customize command (s) , which is specific customize content, used to indicate the behavior of DN / device. For example, if MM determines that DN / device is temporarily unable to continue data transmission or data processing based on the status of the current DN / device, it can send the DN / device execution customize request to DN / device, requesting DN / device to pause the device execution. Thus, after DN / device receives the request, it determines that MM requests to pause the device execution, thus pausing the access process.

[0294] For another example, if MM determines that the data transmission speed of DN / device or data processing speed is low, then MM can send DN / device execution customize request to DN / device to increase data transmission or data processing speed. Thus, after receiving the request, DN / device can determine that the MM requests to increase the data transmission or data processing speed, and then DN / device can increase the data transmission or data processing speed based on the request, thus ensuring the efficient mission execution.

[0295] 802.2: The DN / device customizes its execution behavior (s) according to the received customize command (s) in step 802.1.

[0296] Based on step 802.1 above, if MM determines that the DN / device cannot continue data transmission or data processing based on the status of DN / device, then MM can send DN / device execution customize request to DN / device, including the ID of the DN / device and the customize command that represents pausing access process. After the corresponding DN / device receives the request and determines that the DN / device ID included in the request is the same as its own ID, DN / device can execute the customize command included in the request, which means that DN / device pauses the access process, such as pausing data transmission to the target PSF and / or pausing data processing.

[0297] 802.3: The DN / device sends a DN / device execution customize request response to MM.

[0298] Optionally, the DN / device execution customize request response indicates the MM about the completion of DN / device execution customization.

[0299] In addition, the DN / device execution customize request response sent by DN / device to MM can also have information such as the ID of DN / device.

[0300] 2) DN / device triggered TE customization procedure

[0301] The DN / device triggered TE customization procedure may happen during the DN / device access control, FIG. 9 shows the DN / device triggered TE customization procedure:

[0302] Please note that after steps 701 to 703 are finished, DN / device can execute access to provide data information or computing results information to the target PSF. During this process, if there is an exception to DN / device that requires to pause access process (for example, to pause sending data to the corresponding target PSF) , DN / device may informs TCF to pause receiving data sent by DN / device based on MM. At this point, DN / device can trigger the TE customization procedure, which includes steps 901-904 as follows.

[0303] 901: DN / device sends DN / device side TE customize request to MM.

[0304] The DN / device side TE customize request requests TE customization of the access point. In details, the message may include: access point ID, customize command (s) (e.g., pause / resume the target PSF execution) .

[0305] Please note that the DN / device side TE customize request can serve as an example of a fourth customize request. The DN / device side TE customize request sent by DN / device to MM can include the access point ID which is the ID of the TE accessed by DN / device (ID of TE A1 in FIG. 6B) . In addition, the ID of the target PSF can be included in the DN / device side TE customize request. For example, in FIG. 6B, if the device accesses the target PSF2, the DN / device side TE customize request can include the ID of target PSF2. This way of sending the access point ID and the target PSF ID ensures that the correct TCF controls the corresponding target PSF to execute DN / device side TE customize request.

[0306] The DN / device side TE customize request can also include customize command (s) . For example, if the DN / device needs to pause data transmission to the corresponding target PSF (or increase / decrease data transmission speed) , the DN / device needs to inform TCF based on MM. By doing so, after TCF receives DN / device side TE customize request, TCF can control target PSF to suspend receiving data transmitted by DN / device (or increase / decrease data receiving speed) , according to customize command in the request.

[0307] 902: MM translates the customize command (s) into a TE customization content.

[0308] Since the DN / device may not have the full knowledge about the execution of the access point, the MM may translate the customize command (s) in step 901 (e.g., increase D2P data exchange rate to xx bit / s) into a TE customization content that can be understood by the access point (e.g., increase TE speed of the access point) , because the TCF may not understand the meaning of “increase D2P data exchange rate to xx bit / s” . Step 902 can be optional. For example, if the MM just decides to forward the TE customization request to the TCF of the access point, this step could be ignored.

[0309] For example, if the content of customize command (s) is, increasing D2P data exchange rate, then MM can translate “increasing D2P data exchange rate” to “increasing the receiving speed of information” , and then send the translated content to TCF.

[0310] 903: The MM may trigger a TE customization procedure to customize the TE of the access point according to the received customize command (s) in step 901. The TE customization procedure allows the MM to customize the execution behaviors of a TE.

[0311] Illustratively, after TCF receives the translated DN / device side TE customize request from MM, it can execute the contents of the request by controlling the corresponding target PSF based on the access point ID and target PSF ID in the request. For example, in FIG. 6B, if the device requests increasing the data transmission speed between the device and the target PSF2 (as an example of the first processing service function) , after MM receives the request sent by the device, send the translated DN / device side TE customize request (as an example of first customize request) to TCF. Based on the contents of the translated request, TCF sends a request (as an example of second customize request) to the target PSF2 to speed up the data transmission between the device and the target PSF2.

[0312] Illustratively, after the target PSF2 speeds up the data transmission between the device and the target PSF2, the target PSF2 can send a request response to TCF indicating that the data transmission speed has been increased. When TCF receives the request response, it can send the response to MM.

[0313] 904: MM sends DN / device side TE customize request response to DN / device.

[0314] DN / device side TE customize request response indicates the completion of DN / device triggered TE customization.

[0315] Based on step 903 above, after MM receives the request response, it sends the response to DN / device. Please note that Based on step 903above, after the MM receives a custom request reply, it sends the reply to DN / device. Please note that the request response can include the ID of the target PSF, etc. By doing so, after MM receives DN / device side TE customize request response, MM can determine that data transmission speed corresponding to target PSF2 has been increased.

[0316] 3) TCF triggered DN / device execution customization procedure

[0317] The TCF triggered DN / device execution customization procedure may happen during the DN / device access control, FIG. 10 shows the TCF triggered DN / device execution customization procedure:

[0318] Please note that after steps 701 to 703 are finished, DN / device can execute access to provide data information or computing results information to the target PSF. During this process, if TCF determines that there is an exception to a target PSF that requires to pause access process, TCF may informs DN / device to pause access process based on MM. At this point, TCF can trigger the DN / device execution customization procedure, which includes steps 1001-1004 as follows.

[0319] 1001: TCF (of the access point) sends a TCF side DN / device execution customize request to MM.

[0320] This message requests DN / device execution customization. The message may include: DN / device ID, customize command (s) (e.g., pause / resume the device execution) .

[0321] Illustratively, the TCF side DN / device execution customize request can be used as an example of the third customize request. The DN / Device ID can be included in the TCF side DN / device execution customize request that TCF sends to MM. In FIG. 6B, for example, if the device accesses target PSF2, the ID of the device can be included in the TCF side DN / device execution customize request. This way of sending the DN / device ID ensures that the correct DN / device executes the TCF side DN / device execution customize request.

[0322] The TCF side DN / device execution customize request can also include customize command (s) . For example, if the target PSF2 for TCF needs to pause receiving data sent by the device (or increase / decrease data transmission speed) , TCF may inform DN / device to suspend transmitting data based on MM (or increase / decrease data transmitting speed) . By doing so, after device receives TCF side DN / device execution customize request, device can suspend transmitting data (or increase / decrease data transmitting speed) according to customize command in the request.

[0323] 1002: The MM may translate the customize command (s) in step 1001 into a form which can be understood by the DN / device. Step 1002 can be optional. For example, if the MM just decides to forward the TCF side DN / device execution customize request to the DN / device, this step could be ignored.

[0324] Illustratively, if the content of customize command (s) is increasing D2P data exchange rate, then MM can translate “increasing D2P data exchange rate” to “increasing the transmission speed of information” , and then send the translated content to DN / device.

[0325] 1003: The MM may trigger a DN / device execution customization procedure to customize the DN / device execution behavior (s) according to the received customize command (s) in step 1001.

[0326] Illustratively, MM can send the translated TCF side DN / device execution customize request (as an example of fifth customize request) to DN / device.

[0327] After DN / device receives the request sent by MM and confirm that DN / device ID in the request is the same as its own ID, DN / device can execute the customize command in the request. For example, in FIG. 6B, if TCF requests increasing the data transmission speed between device and the target PSF2, after MM receives TCF side DN / device execution customize request sent by TCF which includes device ID and customize command indicating increasing data transmission speed, it will send the translated request to device. After the device receives the translated request and confirm that device ID is the same as its own ID, device may execute the customize command, speeding up the data transmission speed between the device and the target PSF2.

[0328] After the device speeds up the data transmission between device and the target PSF2, it can send TCF side DN / device execution customize request response to MM. Please note that the request response can include device ID. After TCF receives device ID through MM, TCF can determine that device has speed up the data transmission speed.

[0329] 1004: MM sends a TCF side DN / device execution customize request response to TCF.

[0330] This message indicates the completion of the TCF triggered DN / device execution customization.

[0331] Based on step 1003 above, after MM receives TCF side DN / device execution customize request response, it sends the request response to TCF. After that, TCF will know the device has increased the data transmission speed between the device and the target PSF2.

[0332] The MM triggered DN / device customization procedure allows the MM to customize the execution of the accessed DN / device.

[0333] The DN / device triggered TE customization procedure allows the DN / device to (request the MM to) customize the TE of the access point.

[0334] The TCF triggered DN / device customization procedure allows the TCF of the access point to (request the MM to) customize the execution of the accessed DN / device.

[0335] Based on the steps shown in FIG. 7 above, after DN / device sends DN / device requested mission access complete message and / or TCF sent TCF requested mission access complete message to MM, MM can execute the DN / device access termination process, which is the mission access termination process.

[0336] The disclosure also provides a method of mission access termination.

[0337] FIG. 11 shows the mission access termination procedure, which may include:

[0338] 1101: MM sends a DN / device access terminate request to DN / device.

[0339] This message requests the DN / device to terminate its access (es) to specific D2P data session (s) . This message may include: identifier (s) of data session (s) to be terminated (e.g., data session ID (s) ) ; data session release parameters (e.g., release starting time) ; etc.

[0340] Please note that DN / device access terminate request can be an example of a second access terminate request. Based on step 705a in FIG. 7 above, for example, if DN / device sends a second access completion request to MM, after MM receives the second access completion request, MM sends the second access termination request to DN / device, to tell DN / device to terminate communication with the target PSF through the corresponding session and execute subsequent information deletion. The second access termination request sent by MM to DN / device can include the session ID of the mission session between DN / device and the corresponding target PSF as well as the time of deleting the session information.

[0341] In FIG. 6B, for example, device sends a second access completion request to MM, and after MM receives the second access completion request, MM sends a second access termination request to device. The second access termination request can include ID of D2P data session 1. Thus, after device receives ID of D2P data session 1, device can know that it may terminate target PSF2 access process by D2P data session 1. In addition, the second access termination request can also include release parameters of D2P data session 1, such as interface information of D2P data session 1 on device, as well as release starting time. By doing so, after device receives the release parameters of D2P data session 1, device can release interface information of D2P data session 1 on device at the release starting time.

[0342] 1102: The DN / device performs DN / device-side D2P data session release.

[0343] In details, by receiving the DN / device access terminate request, the DN / device may release the DN / device-side resources and settings for the D2P data session (s) indicated in the DN / device access terminate request.

[0344] Illustratively, after device receives the second access termination request from MM, the device can terminate communication with the target PSF2 through D2P data session 1 and delete information about D2P data session 1, for example, deleting the device interface information corresponding to D2P data session 1.

[0345] 1103: DN / device access terminate request response from DN / device to MM.

[0346] This message informs the MM about the completion of DN / device-side D2P data session release.

[0347] DN / device access terminate request response from DN / device to MM can include the ID of DN / device. After MM receives DN / device access terminate request response, MM can know that corresponding DN / device has completed DN / device-side D2P data session release based on the DN / device ID in the response.

[0348] 1104: PSF access terminate request from MM to TCF of the access point.

[0349] This message requests the target PSF to terminate its access (es) to the D2P data session (s) for DN / device access. This message may include: identifier (s) of data session (s) to be terminated (e.g., data session ID (s) ) ; data session release parameters (e.g., release starting time) ; etc.

[0350] It can be understood that the PSF access terminate request can be an example of a first access terminate request. Based on step 705b in FIG. 7 above, for example, if TCF sends a first access completion request to MM, after MM receives the first access completion request, MM can send a first access termination request to TCF, to tell TCF to terminate communication with DN / device through the corresponding data session and execute subsequent information deletion. The first access termination request sent by MM to TCF can include the session ID of the data session between the target PSF and DN / device, as well as the time of deleting the session information.

[0351] In FIG. 6B, for example, TCF sends a first access completion request to MM, and after MM receives the first access completion request, it sends a first access termination request to TCF. The first access termination request can include the ID of D2P data session 1. Thus, after TCF receives the ID of D2P data session 1, it can terminate the process communicating with the device through D2P data session 1. In addition, the first access termination request can also include release parameters for D2P data session 1, such as interface information of D2P data session 1 on target PSF2, and release starting time. After TCF receives release parameters of D2P data session 1, it can release interface information of D2P data session 1 on target PSF2 at the release starting time.

[0352] 1105: TCF performs target-PSF-side D2P data session release.

[0353] In details, by receiving the PSF access terminate request, the TCF may request the target PSF release the PSF-side resources and settings for the D2P data session (s) indicated in the PSF access terminate request.

[0354] Illustratively, after TCF receives the first access termination request from MM, TCF can terminate communication with the device through D2P data session 1 and delete information of D2P data session 1, for example, deleting the interface information corresponding to D2P data session 1 for the target PSF2. In addition, TCF can also terminate communication with the DN through D2P data session 2 and delete information of D2P data session 2, for example, deleting the interface information corresponding to D2P data session 2 for the target PSF1.

[0355] 1106: PSF access terminate request response from TCF to MM.

[0356] This message informs the MM about the completion of PSF-side D2P data session release.

[0357] PSF access terminate request response from TCF to MM can include ID of the target PSF. After MM receives PSF access terminate request response, MM can know that TCF has finished PSF-side D2P data session release according to the PSF ID in the response.

[0358] 1107: D2P data session info release request from MM to data-GW.

[0359] This message requests the data-GW to release the delete the recorded info (ID, routing rule) of D2P data session (s) to be terminated. This message may include: identifier (s) of D2P data session (s) to be terminated (e.g., data session ID (s) ) . (This step is optional if no data-GW is involved) .

[0360] In the exemplary embodiment, communication between DN / device and the corresponding target PSF can be based on data-GW. For example, DN / device sends the data that needs to be transmitted to data-GW, and then data-GW sends the data to the target PSF.

[0361] In this case, during the mission access termination process, it is necessary to delete the relevant information of data-GW, so MM can send the relevant information deletion request to data-GW. The information deletion request can include ID of DN / device and the target PSF stored in data-GW, as well as data-GW forwarding data routing rules.

[0362] Taking FIG. 6B as an example, if data-GW is set in D2P data session 1, which means that the data sent from device to target PSF2 can be forwarded by data-GW, MM can send a D2P data session info release request to data-GW. The D2P data session info release request can include the ID of the D2P data session 1. Thus, after data-GW receives the ID of the D2P data session 1, it can determine that data-GW information about D2P data session 1 can be deleted, such as data-GW interface information, data-GW forwarding data information, and routing rule (data-GW receives data sent by device and sends the received data to target PSF2) .

[0363] 1108: data-GW performs data-GW routing rule update.

[0364] By receiving the D2P data session info release request, the data-GW may delete the recorded info (ID, routing rule) of D2P data session (s) to be terminated. (This step is optional if no data-GW is involved. )

[0365] Based on above contents, after data-GW receives the D2P data session info release request from MM, data-GW performs data-GW routing rule update based on the ID of the D2P data session in the request. For example, data-GW can delete data-GW interface information, data-GW forwarding data information, and routing rule (data-GW receives data sent by device and sends the received data to target PSF2) .

[0366] 1109: D2P data session info release request response from data-GW to MM

[0367] This message informs the MM about the completion of deleting D2P data session info in data-GW. (This step is optional if no data-GW is involved. )

[0368] The mission access termination procedures enables the network to terminate the DN / device access of a ME, and release D2P data session (s) .

[0369] The communication method provided in this disclosure can control the access process of DN / device to ME so that DN / device provides the data needed for mission execution to the target PSF, or DN / device helps the target PSF do data processing to execute the mission together. In this way, the processing time period can be reduced and the efficiency of mission execution can be improved. Illustratively, referring to FIG. 12, FIG. 12 shows a schematic block diagram of an apparatus according to some embodiments of this disclosure. The apparatus 1000 includes a processor 1010. The processor 1010 is coupled to a memory 1020. The memory 1020 is configured to store a computer program or instructions and / or data. The processor 1010 is configured to execute the computer program or instructions and / or data stored in the memory 1020, so that the methods in the foregoing method embodiments are executed.

[0387] Please note that although two or more network entities are illustrated in this disclosure, only one of them may be enough for an example solution in this disclosure. For example, in the example shown in FIG. 9, from DN / device side, only a DN / device side TE customize request and response are needed. For operations executed by other network entities (e.g., step 902~903) , the DN / Device does not see it (or they may be transparent to the DN / device) .

[0388] In some aspects of the present disclosure, there is provided a computer program comprising instructions. The instructions, when executed by a processor, may cause the processor to implement a method of the present disclosure.

[0390] The solutions described in the disclosure is applicable to a next generation (e.g. sixth generation (6G) or later) network, or a legacy (e.g. 5G, 4G, 3G or 2G) network.

[0391] It will be appreciated that any module, component, or device disclosed herein that executes instructions may include, or otherwise have access to, a non-transitory computer / processor readable storage medium or media for storage of information, such as computer / processor readable instructions, data structures, program modules and / or other data. A non-exhaustive list of examples of non-transitory computer / processor readable storage media includes magnetic cassettes, magnetic tape, magnetic disk storage or other magnetic storage devices, optical disks such as compact disc read-only memory (CD-ROM) , digital video discs or digital versatile discs (i.e., DVDs) , Blu-ray DiscTM, or other optical storage, volatile and non-volatile, removable and non-removable media implemented in any method or technology, random-access memory (RAM) , read-only memory (ROM) , electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) , flash memory or other memory technology. Any such non-transitory computer / processor storage media may be part of a device / apparatus or accessible or connectable thereto. Computer / processor readable / executable instructions to implement a method, an application or a module described herein may be stored or otherwise held by such non-transitory computer / processor readable storage media.

[0392] It could be noted that the message in the disclosure could be replaced with information, which may be carried in one single message, or be carried in more than one separate message.

[0393] Without special noting, the terms “apparatus” and “device” are used exchangeable, and the terms “identity” and “identifier” are sued exchangeable.

[0394] In the disclosure, the word “a” or “an” when used in conjunction with the term “comprising” or “including” in the claims and / or the specification may mean “one” , but it is also consistent with the meaning of “one or more” , “at least one” , and “one or more than one” unless the content clearly dictates otherwise. Similarly, the word “another” may mean at least a second or more unless the content clearly dictates otherwise.

[0395] In the disclosure, the words “first” , “second” , etc., when used before a same term (e.g., ED, or an operating step) does not mean an order or a sequence of the term. For example, the “first ED” and the “second ED” , means two different EDs  without specially indicated, and similarly, although the present disclosure describes methods and processes with steps in a certain order, one or more steps of the methods and processes may be omitted or altered as appropriate. One or more steps may take place in an order other than that in which they are described, as appropriate. For example, the “first step” and the “second step” means two different operating steps without specially indicated, but does not mean the first step have to happen before the second step. The real order depends on the logic of the two steps.

[0396] The terms “coupled” , “coupling” or “connected” as used herein can have several different meanings depending on the context in which these terms are used. For example, as used herein, the terms coupled, coupling, or connected can indicate that two elements or devices are directly connected to one another or connected to one another through one or more intermediate elements or devices via a mechanical element depending on the particular context.

[0397] Note that the expression “at least one of A or B” , as used herein, is interchangeable with the expression “A and / or B” . It refers to a list in which you may select A or B or both A and B. Similarly, “at least one of A, B, or C” , as used herein, is interchangeable with “A and / or B and / or C” or “A, B, and / or C” . It refers to a list in which you may select: A or B or C, or both A and B, or both A and C, or both B and C, or all of A, B and C. The same principle applies for longer lists having a same format.

[0398] The present disclosure encompasses various embodiments, including not only method embodiments, but also other embodiments such as apparatus embodiments and embodiments related to non-transitory computer readable storage media. Embodiments may incorporate, individually or in combinations, the features disclosed herein.

[0399] The term “receive” , “detect” and “decode” as used herein can have several different meanings depending on the context in which these terms are used. For example, without special note, the term “receive” may indicate that information (e.g., DCI, or MAC-CE, RRC signaling or TB) is received successfully by the receiving node, which means the receiving side correctly detect and decode it. In this scenario, “receive” may cover “detect” and “decode” or may indicates same thing, e.g., “receive paging” means decoding paging correctly and obtaining the paging successfully, accordingly, “the receiving side does not receive paging” means the receiving side does not detect and / or decoding the paging. “paging is not received” means the receiving side tries to detect and / or decoding the paging, but not obtain the paging successfully. The term “receive” may sometimes indicate that a signal arrives at the receiving side, but does not mean the information in the signal is detected and decoded correctly, then the receiving side need perform detecting and decoding on the signal to obtain the information carried in the signal. In this scenario, “receive” , “detect” and “decode” may indicate different procedure at receiving side to obtain the information.

[0400] Although this disclosure refers to illustrative embodiments, this is not intended to be construed in a limiting sense. Various modifications and combinations of the illustrative embodiments, as well as other embodiments of the disclosure, will be apparent to persons skilled in the art upon reference to the description. When combining two or more embodiments, not all the features in the embodiments to be combined are necessary for the combination.

[0401] Features disclosed herein in the context of any particular embodiments may also or instead be implemented in other embodiments. Method embodiments, for example, may also or instead be implemented in apparatus, system, and / or computer program product embodiments. In addition, although embodiments are described primarily in the context of methods and apparatus, other implementations are also contemplated, as instructions stored on one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, for example. Such media could store programming or instructions to perform any of various methods consistent with the present disclosure.
