[0026] As briefly mentioned above, in the interaction process of digital assistants, message cards are an important content carrier that can intuitively present information through a structured style.

[0027] However, traditional solutions require developers to create message cards specifically for specific business content. For example, while some cards may have similar styles, their associated business content may differ, requiring developers to create multiple message cards based on the specific business content. This significantly increases developer time.

[0028] To this end, an embodiment of the present disclosure proposes a scheme for configuring message cards. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, configuration information for a digital assistant can be obtained, the configuration information indicating at least one message card for the digital assistant and a data source corresponding to the at least one message card, and the configuration information further indicating a mapping relationship between a first data field associated with the at least one message card and a second data field associated with the data source; and the digital assistant can be controlled to display the message card based on the configuration information.

[0029] In this way, by configuring the mapping between message cards and data sources, embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the reusability of message cards. For example, the same message card style can be associated with the display of different types of business messages based on different mapping relationships.

[0030] Example embodiments of the present disclosure are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0031] Sample Environment

[0032] 1 shows a schematic diagram of an example environment 100 in which embodiments of the present disclosure can be implemented. The environment 100 includes an assistant configuration platform 110 and an assistant application platform 130 .

[0033] As shown in Figure 1, the assistant configuration platform 110 can provide users 105 with an environment for creating, configuring, and publishing digital assistants. In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 can be a low-code platform that provides a collection of tools for creating digital assistants. The assistant configuration platform 110 can support visual development of digital assistants, allowing developers to skip the manual coding process and speed up the development cycle and cost of applications. The assistant configuration platform 110 can support any appropriate platform for users to develop digital assistants and other types of applications, for example, it can include a platform based on Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS). Such a platform can support users to efficiently develop applications and implement operations such as application creation and application function adjustment.

[0034] The assistant configuration platform 110 can be deployed locally on the terminal device of the user 105, and / or can be supported by a remote server. For example, the terminal device of the user 105 can run a client of the assistant configuration platform 110, which can support the interaction between the user and the assistant configuration platform 110. In the case where the assistant configuration platform 110 runs locally on the user's terminal device, the user 105 can directly use the client to interact with the local assistant configuration platform 110. In the case where the assistant configuration platform 110 runs on the server device, the server device can realize the supply of services to the client running in the terminal device based on the communication connection between the server device and the terminal device. The assistant configuration platform 110 can present a corresponding page 122 to the user 105 based on the operation of the user 105 to output and / or receive information to the user 105 and / or receive information from the user 105.

[0035] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 can be associated with a corresponding database, which stores the data or information required for the digital assistant creation process supported by the assistant configuration platform 110. For example, the database can store the code and description information corresponding to the various functional modules that make up the digital assistant. The assistant configuration platform 110 can also perform operations such as calling, adding, deleting, and updating on the functional modules in the database. The database can also store operations that can be performed on different functional blocks. Exemplarily, in a scenario where a digital assistant is to be created, the assistant configuration platform 110 can call the corresponding functional blocks from the database to build a digital assistant.

[0036] In an embodiment of the present disclosure, a user 105 can create a digital assistant 120 as needed on the assistant configuration platform 110 and publish the digital assistant 120. The digital assistant 120 can be published to any appropriate assistant application platform 130, as long as the assistant application platform 130 can support the operation of the digital assistant 120. After publishing, the digital assistant 120 can be used for dialogue interaction with the user 135. The client of the assistant application platform 130 can present an interaction window 132 of the digital assistant 120, such as a conversation window, in the client interface. As an intelligent assistant, the digital assistant 120 has intelligent dialogue and information processing capabilities. The user 135 can enter a conversation message in the conversation window, and the digital assistant 120 can determine the reply message based on the created configuration information and present it to the user in the interaction window 132. In some embodiments, depending on the configuration of the digital assistant 120, the interactive message with the digital assistant 120 may include a message card 140 presented based on the configuration information obtained at the assistant configuration platform 110.

[0037] The assistant configuration platform 110 and / or the assistant application platform 130 can run on appropriate electronic devices. The electronic devices here can be any type of device with computing capabilities, including terminal devices or server devices. The server device can, for example, include a computing system / server, such as a mainframe, an edge computing node, a computing device in a cloud environment, and so on. In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 and / or the assistant application platform 130 can be implemented based on cloud services.

[0038] It should be understood that the structure and functionality of the environment 100 are described for exemplary purposes only and do not imply any limitation on the scope of the present disclosure. For example, although FIG1 shows a single user interacting with the assistant configuration platform 110 and a single user interacting with the assistant application platform 130, in reality, multiple users can access the assistant configuration platform 110 to each create a digital assistant, and each digital assistant can be used to interact with multiple users.

[0039] Some example embodiments of the present disclosure will be described in detail below with reference to the examples in the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that the pages shown in the accompanying drawings are merely examples, and a variety of page designs may exist. The various graphical elements in a page may have different arrangements and different visual representations, one or more elements may be omitted or replaced, and one or more other elements may also be present. The embodiments of the present disclosure are not limited in this respect.

[0040] Example Process

[0041] FIG2 shows a flowchart of an example process 200 for configuring a message card according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. The process 200 may be implemented at the assistant configuration platform 110. The process 200 is described below with reference to FIG1.

[0042] As shown in FIG2 , at block 210, the assistant configuration platform 110 obtains configuration information for the digital assistant 120. The configuration information indicates at least one message card for the digital assistant 120 and a data source corresponding to the at least one message card. The configuration information also indicates a mapping relationship between a first data field associated with the at least one message card and a second data field associated with the data source.

[0043] An example process of obtaining configuration information will be described below with reference to Figures 3A and 3B. In some embodiments, as shown in Figure 3A, digital assistant 120 may be associated with multiple plug-ins for providing messages, such as plug-in 310 and plug-in 320.

[0044] Such plug-ins 310 and 320 may, for example, provide corresponding application programming interfaces (APIs), so that digital assistant 120 can obtain corresponding messages by calling the APIs. For example, digital assistant 120 may be associated with multiple APIs (e.g., API 1 and API 2) of plug-in 310, and associated with API 3 of plug-in 320. Such APIs may also be referred to as data sources for digital assistant 120.

[0045] Further, as shown in FIG3A , the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a set of application program interface APIs, such as API 330 , of a target plug-in (e.g., plug-in 310 ) associated with the digital assistant 120 in the interface 300A.

[0046] In some embodiments, based on the selection of a target API from a set of APIs, the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a card configuration interface for the target API. Taking FIG3A as an example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may provide a configuration entry 340 associated with API 330. Upon receiving a selection of the configuration entry 340, the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a card configuration interface 300B as shown in FIG3B .

[0047] In some embodiments, in some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 can establish an association between the target data source of the digital assistant and a target message card in a set of preset message cards based on the first configuration operation in the card configuration interface 300B.

[0048] Specifically, as shown in FIG3B , the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a set of card templates for the API 330 in the card configuration interface 300B, for example, card templates 345 - 1 , 345 - 2 , and 345 - 3 (individually or collectively referred to as card templates 345 ).

[0049] In some embodiments, such different card templates may have different card styles. The assistant configuration platform 110 may also present style information of the set of card templates 345 in the card configuration interface 300B.

[0050] In some embodiments, such style information may indicate a display style of the card template 345. For example, as shown in FIG3B , the style information may indicate a layout of a set of display elements in the card template 345.

[0051] Such a set of display elements may include, for example, a title portion, a picture portion, and a body portion, which may correspond to a set of data fields associated with the card template, such as a title field, a picture field, and a body field.

[0052] In some embodiments, such a card template 345 may be developed by a card developer and published to the assistant configuration platform 110 , so that different types of applications in the assistant configuration platform 110 , for example, may share the same card style.

[0053] Based on this approach, the embodiments of the present disclosure can support the reuse of the same card style for different digital assistants or different APIs, thereby reducing the cost of card development and management.

[0054] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 can also support the configuration party of the digital assistant 120 to create and publish new card styles.

[0055] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may receive a first configuration operation. The first configuration operation may indicate a selection of a target card template from a set of card templates. Taking FIG. 3B as an example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may receive a selection of card template 345 - 3 .

[0056] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 can establish an association between the data source of the digital assistant 120 (i.e., API 330) and a target card template (e.g., card template 345-3) from a set of preset card templates. Furthermore, the assistant configuration platform 110 can establish an association between the API 330 and the target message card to be configured corresponding to card template 345-3.

[0057] In some embodiments, the target card template (e.g., card template 345-3) corresponding to the target message card can be associated with a first set of data fields. Taking FIG. 3B as an example, such a first set of fields can include, for example, the title field, picture field, and body field discussed above.

[0058] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may further establish a mapping between the first set of data fields and the second set of data fields based on the second configuration operation, wherein the target data source is associated with the second set of data fields.

[0059] In some embodiments, for different APIs of the plug-in, corresponding message structures may be defined. Taking API 330 as an example, the developer of API 330 may specify the message structure of the message obtained through API 330, that is, a set of data fields included in the message.

[0060] Furthermore, the assistant configuration platform 110 may, for example, utilize the card configuration interface 300B to establish a mapping between the first set of data fields of the card template 345 - 3 and the second set of data fields of the API 330 .

[0061] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a configuration control for the first data field in the first group of data fields in the card configuration interface 300B. Specifically, as shown in FIG3B , the assistant configuration platform 110 may present a configuration control 350-1 for the "title field," a configuration control 350-2 for the "image field," and a configuration control 350-3 for the "text field." Configuration controls 350-1 through 350-3 may be individually or collectively referred to as configuration control 350.

[0062] Furthermore, the assistant configuration platform 110 may receive a second configuration operation via the configuration control 350. The second configuration operation may, for example, indicate a selection of a second data field in the second group of data fields.

[0063] Taking FIG3B as an example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may use the configuration control 350-1 to input a field corresponding to the "title field" in the message structure returned by the API 330. For example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may present one or more data fields in the second set of data fields of the API 330 by means of a pull-down display, and may receive a selection of a second data field in the one or more data fields.

[0064] In some embodiments, configuration control 350 is configured to present at least one data field from the second set of data fields that matches the first data field. Continuing with configuration control 350-1 as an example, for the "title field," its data type, for example in card template 345-3, is a string. Accordingly, configuration control 350 can present one or more data fields from the second set of data fields from API 330 that are string or can be converted to a string as candidates.

[0065] Based on this approach, the embodiments of the present disclosure can further improve the efficiency of card configuration and avoid possible errors caused by data type mismatch.

[0066] In some embodiments, the card configuration interface 300B may also receive other configuration items about the message card. For example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may determine the style of the message card by configuring the control 360, such as a single card, a vertical list, or a horizontal list.

[0067] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may also determine at least one interaction strategy associated with the target message card based on the third configuration operation. Continuing with FIG3B as an example, the assistant configuration platform 110 may, for example, utilize configuration control 355 to determine a jump strategy for the target message card, i.e., specify a page to jump to.

[0068] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may also support the definition of other types of interaction strategies, such as click strategy, long press strategy, drag strategy, etc.

[0069] Based on this approach, the embodiments of the present disclosure can support the reuse of developed card styles by establishing a binding between message cards and data sources, thereby greatly reducing the development cost of message cards.

[0070] Although the above reference Figures 3A to 3B describe a specific configuration interface, it should be understood that the assistant configuration platform 110 can also obtain configuration information through other appropriate interactive methods, for example, to establish a mapping relationship between the first data field associated with the message card and the second data field associated with the data source.

[0071] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may provide a card preview page 365 based on the acquired configuration information. The card preview page may, for example, display a first message card corresponding to a first message, where the first message includes a preset message or a message from a data source.

[0072] In some embodiments, to facilitate the perception of message cards corresponding to configuration information, the assistant configuration platform 110 can provide a preview of the message cards corresponding to such configuration information. For example, the assistant configuration platform 110 can provide a debugging interface to support displaying corresponding message cards by obtaining real-time messages from the corresponding data source. As another example, the assistant configuration platform 110 can also display corresponding message cards based on sample messages corresponding to the API.

[0073] In this way, the embodiments of the present disclosure can help the configuration party intuitively determine whether the input configuration information can obtain a message card that meets expectations, thereby facilitating the configuration party to complete the configuration of the message card more efficiently.

[0074] In some embodiments, the assistant configuration platform 110 may also generate a data object corresponding to at least one message card based on the acquired configuration information. In some embodiments, the data object indicates a second data field corresponding to the first data field of the message card, for example, a specific data field in the message structure of the API 330.

[0075] In some embodiments, the data object may also indicate the identifier of at least one message card, such as its style identifier, template identifier, etc. Alternatively or additionally, the data object may also indicate the type of at least one message card. Alternatively or additionally, the data object may also indicate the resource address of at least one message card. The terminal device may obtain the display resource of the message card template by accessing such a resource address and may complete the display of the message card by filling the template with corresponding data.

[0076] By establishing data objects of message cards, embodiments of the present disclosure can further improve the management efficiency of message cards available in a digital assistant.

[0077] 2 , in block 220 , the assistant configuration platform 110 controls the digital assistant 120 to display a message card based on the configuration information.

[0078] Specifically, when the digital assistant obtains a second message from the configured data source, the assistant configuration platform 110 can control the digital assistant 120 to determine a second message card corresponding to the second message based on the configuration information.

[0079] Taking Figure 3C as an example, when the digital assistant 120 calls API 330 to obtain a message to be provided to the user, the digital assistant 120 can determine based on the configuration information of the message card that the message can correspond to the second message card configured based on the card template 345-3.

[0080] Furthermore, the assistant configuration platform 110 can control the digital assistant 120 to determine the value of at least one data field of the second message card based on the second message and the configuration information. Exemplarily, the digital assistant 120 can determine the specific value of the data field in the second message card based on the field mapping relationship indicated in the configuration information. Taking Figure 3B as an example, if the "title field" in the second message card corresponds to a specific field in the message of API 330, the digital assistant 120 can determine the value of the "title field" based on the value of the specific field in the message obtained using API 330.

[0081] Furthermore, the assistant configuration platform 110 can control the digital assistant 120 to obtain display resources corresponding to the second message card. For example, the digital assistant 120 can obtain the corresponding display resources based on the resource address defined in the card object of the second message card.

[0082] Additionally, the assistant configuration platform 110 can control the digital assistant 120 to display a second message card based on the display resource and the value of at least one data field. Figure 3C shows an example interface according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. For example, the digital assistant 120 can display a message card 375 based on the display resource (e.g., the display resource of the template) and the value of each field of the message card. Such a message card 375 can be presented in the conversation window 370 of the digital assistant, for example.

[0083] Based on this approach, the embodiments of the present disclosure can support the digital assistant 120 to dynamically determine whether to use a message card for display and which message card to use for display based on configuration information. As a result, the embodiments of the present disclosure can improve the processing efficiency of message cards in digital assistant interactions.

[0084] Example devices and equipment

[0085] Embodiments of the present disclosure also provide corresponding apparatuses for implementing the above-described methods or processes. FIG4 shows a schematic structural block diagram of an apparatus 400 for configuring a message card according to certain embodiments of the present disclosure. Apparatus 400 may be implemented as or included in assistant configuration platform 110. Each module / component in apparatus 400 may be implemented by hardware, software, firmware, or any combination thereof.

[0086] As shown in Figure 4, the device 400 includes an acquisition module 410, which is configured to acquire configuration information for the digital assistant, the configuration information indicating at least one message card for the digital assistant and the data source corresponding to the at least one message card, and the configuration information also indicates a mapping relationship between a first data field associated with the at least one message card and a second data field associated with the data source; and a control module 420, which is configured to control the digital assistant to display the message card based on the configuration information.
