Abstract
Description
[0001] Herbal Steam Bath Chamber
[0002] DESCRIPTION
[0003] Technical field of the invention
[0004] The present invention corresponds to the technical field of medical treatment of people using herbal steam, and specifically to a chamber for performing steam baths with the same.
[0005] Background of the Invention
[0006] Nowadays, the therapeutic use of vaporization is becoming increasingly widespread. This is because steam baths are a treatment that offers multiple beneficial effects for the body, even more so when the steam is combined with the effects of natural plants with specific properties.
[0007] In this technique, there are bath chambers where you can undergo steam baths using the properties of natural herbs. These usually have a water containment area that also includes water heaters to generate steam. The herbs are placed on a support device over the water, and the user lies on top of them so that the steam acts on their body.
[0008] As an example of the state of the art, reference document ES1297361 can be mentioned, which defines a steam installation for herbal steam baths that has a casing whose upper part is a platform-shaped cover with openings across the entire surface, designed to accommodate the entire human body.
[0009] Along the casing is a water tank with a series of electric heaters, and porous herb liners are located beneath the cover over the entire surface of the tank. The electric heaters heat the water, and as steam is generated, it passes through the porous herb liners and exits onto the user's surface, saturated with the plants' essential oils.
[0010] However, this type of installation has certain drawbacks. Among them is the fact that, by using electric heaters or heating elements to heat the water, the steam is not produced evenly, so it is not distributed evenly throughout the herb holding device.
[0011] On the other hand, the herbs are enclosed in porous coverings made of fabric or fine mesh. This has the disadvantage that due to the heat to which this material is exposed as the steam passes through it, it deforms, causing the herbs to clump together, accumulating in some areas more than others. This way, the steam finds a quick way to escape through areas where there are no herbs or fewer of them, thereby reducing the effect of herbal steam on the treatment.
[0012] Furthermore, the fact that the facility is open and has no means of containing the steam causes it to dissipate into the room and reduces the effects that can be achieved with this treatment.
[0013] It is necessary to find a way to improve these types of facilities in order to fully utilize the benefits of natural and medicinal herbs in these treatments.
[0014] Description of the invention
[0015] The herbal steam bath chamber presented here comprises steam generating means, a natural herb support device, and a support surface for a user located above the natural herb support device.
[0016] This chamber also includes a surrounding structure for containing the sealed chamber. It also has a steam generator external to the surrounding structure and ducts for transporting the steam produced by the generator into the interior of the surrounding structure containing the chamber. These ducts terminate in steam outlet ducts located in a space below the user's resting surface.
[0017] These steam outlet ducts have steam diffusers evenly distributed under the entire user's support surface.
[0018] On the other hand, the herb support device is placed between the steam outlet ducts and the user's support surface, said support device being formed by the union of one or more rigid trays that cover an area equal to that of the support surface and have multiple holes in their containment surface.
[0019] The herbal steam bath chamber proposed here represents a significant improvement on the state of the art.
[0020] This is because completely homogeneous steam production is achieved, thanks to the fact that the steam generator is external to the chamber's surrounding structure and the steam is introduced into it through ducts that have diffusers perfectly distributed below the support surface to achieve uniformity in the diffusion and application of steam.
[0021] This achieves higher quality of the steam used, with stable temperature and pressure conditions, suitable for use within the chamber.
[0022] Furthermore, since the herb support device is made up of one or more rigid trays that cover an area equal to that of the support surface, uniformity is again achieved in the application of steam to the user's body and at the same time, since they are rigid trays, they do not present the problem of deformation due to the application of heat from the steam, thus avoiding possible clumping or unwanted accumulation of the herbs, which remain in perfect condition and distribution.
[0023] Likewise, the user's support surface in this chamber is formed by a structure of boards that also has steam passage holes, to further enhance the steam's effect on the user's body.
[0024] The result is a highly effective herbal steam bath chamber that achieves greater uniformity in steam application and more appropriate and maximized results, solving existing problems in the technique.
[0025] Brief description of the drawings
[0026] In order to assist in a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical embodiment thereof, a series of drawings are provided as an integral part of said description, where, for illustrative and non-limiting purposes, the following has been represented:
[0027] Figure 1.- Shows a perspective view of the herbal steam bath chamber with the surrounding structure, for a preferred embodiment of the invention.
[0028] Figure 2.- Shows a perspective view of the camera without the surrounding structure, for a preferred embodiment of the invention.
[0029] Figure 3.- Shows a perspective view of the chamber without the surrounding structure and without the support surface, for a preferred embodiment of the invention.
[0030] Figure 4.- Shows a perspective view of the interior space of the herbal steam bath chamber, for a preferred embodiment of the invention.
[0031] Figure 5 shows a cross-sectional view of the herbal steam bath chamber for a preferred embodiment of the invention. Detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the invention.
[0032] In view of the figures provided, it can be seen how in a preferred embodiment of the invention, the herbal steam bath chamber proposed here comprises steam generation means, a support device for natural herbs and a support surface (1) for a user located above the natural herb support device (2).
[0033] This chamber also comprises a surrounding structure (3) for containing the chamber, watertight, as shown in Figure 1.
[0034] It also has a steam generator (4) that is located externally to the surrounding structure (3), as can be seen in Figure 1.
[0035] Furthermore, this chamber comprises transport ducts (5) for the steam produced by the generator (4) to the interior of the enclosing structure (3) containing the chamber. Said transport ducts (5) end in steam outlet ducts (6) which, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, are arranged in a space below the user's support surface (1).
[0036] Said steam outlet ducts (6) have steam diffusers (7) evenly distributed under the entire user's support surface (1), so that they allow homogeneous and uniform diffusion of steam throughout it.
[0037] The herb support device is placed between the steam outlet ducts (6) and the user's support surface (1), so that the steam that reaches the user is completely impregnated with the essential oils of these herbs (2).
[0038] For its part, the support device is formed by the union of one or more rigid trays (8), in this case three trays (8), which cover an area equal to that of the support surface (1) and have multiple holes (9) in their containment surface. This can be seen in Figure 3, in which an area of one of the trays (8) has been represented without grass (2) in order to appreciate said holes (9).
[0039] In this preferred embodiment of the invention, the user's support surface (1) is formed by a structure of boards, separated from each other, where each board has multiple steam passage holes (10), as can be seen in Figure 2. In this case, furthermore, the boards are made of wood.
