Abstract
Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] CAMPER FURNITURE
[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The present invention relates to a camper furniture, usable in vehicles (vans, etc.) to be converted into camper furniture, to optimize spaces and utilities.
[0005] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0006] The demand for vehicles adapted for overnight stays has grown significantly in recent years. At the same time, the price of these already adapted vehicles, or their conversion by specialized companies, has increased considerably.
[0007] There are many options, both approved and non-approved, for converting this type of vehicle using a removable kit, but none have taken into account the use of the space between rows of seats in a conventional three-row van with the advantages that this entails, which is solved with the camper furniture of the invention.
[0008] DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0009] The camper furniture of the invention comprises:
[0010] -a prismatic structure with a quadrangular base,
[0011] -a central lifting upper shelf, arranged in the upper base position of the structure,
[0012] -a lifting element of the central upper shelf,
[0013] --longitudinal wings, supported removably on the transverse sides of the structure (using wing nuts, for example) and comprising first brackets for supporting and securing said wings in a horizontal position to the structure,
[0014] -extensions of the longitudinal wings, joined to the free ends of said longitudinal wings through first joints, and the extensions being foldable on said longitudinal wings, and
[0015] -at least one transverse wing, detachably supported on a longitudinal free side of the structure and comprising second support brackets on the structure of said transverse wing in a horizontal position.
[0016] In this way, the furniture offers the advantages of being able to use the space in the vehicle between the existing seats in the first and third rows of the vehicle, or the intermediate space if there are no seats in the rear, to provide the following functions: 1) bed, even of variable width, 2) folding and elevating table, 3) optional removable tables, 4) benches, even optional removable ones, 5) support for kitchen and bathroom, 6) removable drawer with sink, stove and various kitchen elements, 7) storage space and for clean and dirty water tanks.
[0017] The longitudinal wings and their extensions can be positioned, opened and supported on one side by the rear row seat (with the option of extendable legs incorporated into this side wing) and on the other side by the front row seats (with the option of extendable legs incorporated into this other side wing), forming the base of a single bed.
[0018] Inside the structure, a storage space is also defined for removable storage elements, including kitchen appliances, storage and service of clean water, or as storage for containers for dirty or clean water, a second battery, stationary heating, etc.
[0019] The unit can be manufactured at the factory and is transportable and removable for installation in vehicles. The structure is equipped with conventional and manual means for anchoring to the vehicle's anchoring devices in accordance with current regulations. To facilitate transport, the structure can be equipped with wheels and / or other means to facilitate its mobility.
[0020] BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0022] Figure 2 shows a view of the camper furniture, configured in the form of a low table.
[0023] Figure 3 shows a view of the camper van, configured as a high, rotating table. Figure 4 shows a view of the camper van, configured as a seat for storing a toilet cassette or a bag underneath. The kitchen could also be placed on this section.
[0024] Figure 5 shows a view of the camper furniture, configured as a base for a single bed.
[0025] Figure 6 shows the removal of the supplementary boards from their housings.
[0026] Figure 7 shows a view of the camper furniture, configured in the form of a double bed.
[0027] DESCRIPTION OF A PRACTICAL EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0028] The camper furniture (1) of the invention comprises:
[0029] -a prismatic structure (2) with a quadrangular base,
[0030] -a central, elevating upper shelf (3), arranged in the upper base position of the structure (2),
[0031] -an element for lifting the upper shelf (3), such as a central telescopic strut (4) (see fig. 3), the lower end of which is connected to the lower base (20) of the structure (2) and to the upper end of which the upper shelf (3) is fixed,
[0032] -longitudinal wings (5) (see figs. 5 and 7), removable and supported on the transverse sides of the structure (2) (using wing nuts (51) for example) and comprising first brackets (7) for supporting and securing said wings (5) in a horizontal position to the structure (2),
[0033] - extensions (50) of the longitudinal wings (5), joined to the free ends of said longitudinal wings (5) through first joints (52), and the extensions (50) being foldable on said longitudinal wings (5), and
[0034] -at least one transverse wing (6), removably supported on a longitudinal free side of the structure (2) and comprising second support brackets (7a) on the structure (2) of said transverse wing (5) in a horizontal position.
[0035] Furthermore, it is preferred that it comprises a vertical axis rotating fixing (40) between the strut (4) and the upper shelf (3), which allows the upper shelf (3) to be rotated for better accommodation of the users (see fig. 3). In the event that the lifting element is not a strut, any other element that allows the upper shelf to rotate may be arranged. With this configuration, a sufficient number of first folding or removable legs (55) may be arranged on the longitudinal wings (5) and / or the extensions (50) to extract them and use them as outdoor tables or benches.
[0036] It is provided that the transverse wing (6) may comprise a hollow (60) for a sanitary seat (see fig. 4) (to place a portable toilet or a bag or similar underneath) and a hinged lid (61) laterally to said transverse wing (6), which allows it to be used as a toilet seat. This lid also serves to access the interior of the furniture when it is closed, and to extract any contents stored therein.
[0037] Furthermore, it has been provided that the upper shelf (3) may comprise on its transverse sides second joints (34) (see figs. 1 and 2) to which two folding supplements (31) are attached to said upper shelf (3), to expand its useful surface area during use, reducing its size in the folded position.
[0038] Additionally, provision has been made for supplementary boards (8) (see figs. 6 and 7) with sufficient second folding legs (80); comprising between the longitudinal wings (5) in the folded position and the structure (2) housings (83) of a size larger than that of said boards (8) (to house the same); and comprising means for laterally fixing said boards (8) to at least one of the sides of the longitudinal wings (5) and their extensions (50). In this way, the bed can be converted into a double bed as seen in fig. 7, resting the boards on the edge of the initially configured single bed, and on the rear and front row seats, or on the folding legs incorporated in these boards. Furthermore, the folding legs (80) incorporated also allow the boards (8) to be used outside the vehicle as an auxiliary table and as seat benches. The means for fixing the boards (8) to the sides of the longitudinal wings (5) and their extensions (50) comprise, for example, hooks, not shown.
[0039] Having sufficiently described the nature of the invention, as well as the manner of its implementation in practice, it should be noted that the provisions indicated above and represented in the attached drawings are susceptible to modifications in detail as long as they do not alter the fundamental principle.
