Abstract
Description
Storage bag for information terminals
[0001] The present invention relates to a storage bag for storing an information terminal such as a mobile phone when performing surgery or work requiring aseptic treatment.
[0002] In medicine, sterile procedures are essential in many situations, such as surgery and interventional radiology (IVR). These procedures involve a wide variety of techniques, and new procedures and equipment are constantly being introduced into clinical practice. Accordingly, new information is increasingly being acquired, covering a wide range of surgical procedures and equipment usage. While traditional procedures required thorough learning beforehand, learning new information has become more frequent, sometimes resulting in errors. Meanwhile, advances in information and communication technology (ICT) have made it possible to perform these procedures in real time using information and communication devices (hereafter referred to as "information terminals") such as smartphones and tablets. However, because various bacteria are typically present on the surfaces of these commonly used information terminals, they cannot be placed on operating tables or in the sterile environment of operating rooms. Furthermore, sterilizing information terminals with disinfectants or other disinfectants is not possible, as this can cause malfunctions.
[0003] Therefore, when sterilization is required, the information terminal itself must be covered in a sterile bag. Examples of sterile bags that can be used in such medical settings include a storage bag with a double structure consisting of a sterilized outer bag and inner bag (see, for example, Patent Document 1), and a structure in which a paper introduction section formed into a flat cylindrical shape with openings at both ends is attached to the bag body to prevent the entrance from becoming contaminated during insertion (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
[0004] Utility Model Registration No. 3167567 Patent No. 5707303
[0005] However, with storage bags that have a double structure of an outer and inner bag, bacteria that adhere to the information terminal when the terminal is stored may be transferred to the area of the inner bag closer to the zipper opening. This area remains even after the outer bag is removed and is open to the outside, so bacteria adhering to this area can contaminate the operating room. Furthermore, with a structure in which a paper insertion part is attached to the main bag, inserting the information terminal requires manipulating the paper insertion part, which makes the insertion process more complicated and burdensome in emergency surgeries.
[0006] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a storage bag for an information terminal that can easily store an information terminal such as a mobile phone when performing surgery or work requiring aseptic treatment.
[0007] In order to solve the above-mentioned technical problems, the storage bag for an information terminal of the present invention is characterized by having a bag body for storing a plate-shaped information terminal, a collar portion that is continuous with one end of the bag body, increases in diameter toward the outside, and has an opening at the outermost part, and a zipper portion that is provided inside the collar portion and opens and closes the bag body.
[0008] By providing a collar part that is continuous with the bag body for storing a plate-like information terminal and that increases in diameter toward the outside, the information terminal can be inserted into the bag body without touching the zipper part or its outside, which promotes the use of the information terminal in places where cleanliness must be maintained.
[0009] A preferred embodiment of the storage bag for information terminals of the present invention is one in which the bag body is made up of two stacked sheet bodies, the two sheet bodies are closed on three sides, and the collar portion has a shape that extends from the unclosed one of the two stacked sheet bodies.
[0010] In addition, the storage bag for information terminals of the present invention can be such that the bag body, collar, and zipper portion are sterilized, and the collar portion can be configured so that the information terminal can be inserted into the bag body with the zipper portion turned outward.
[0011] Furthermore, when the information terminal is a device equipped with a camera, the information terminal storage bag of the present invention is also designed to have a function of enhancing personal information protection, thereby expanding the range of use. That is, the information terminal storage bag of the present invention may be configured so that a light-shielding portion that suppresses light transmission is provided in the area of the bag body that faces the camera lens of the information terminal when the information terminal is inserted into the bag body, and when the bag body is configured with two sheets, one sheet can transmit light and the other sheet can suppress light transmission.
[0012] Furthermore, when the storage bag for an information terminal of the present invention is intended for use in an operating room, for example, an adhesive portion can be formed on part of the bag body to prevent the information terminal from slipping off even when the storage bag containing the information terminal is placed on a relatively slippery surface such as an operating table, and the adhesive portion can be made of a hook-and-loop fastener material, for example.

[0014] A preferred embodiment of the information terminal storage bag of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In this embodiment, as an example, it is assumed that a medical professional brings an information terminal that he or she normally uses into an operating room, and the information terminal storage bag of this embodiment is used as a bag to store the information terminal, preventing the introduction of germs and the like into the operating room.
[0015] First Embodiment As shown in FIG. 1, a storage bag 10 for an information terminal of this embodiment has a bag body 12 for storing an information terminal, a collar portion 14 provided contiguous with one end of the bag body 12, which increases in diameter toward the outside and has an opening 18 at its outermost portion, and a zipper portion 16 provided inside the collar portion 14 for opening and closing the bag body 12.
[0016] The information terminals that can be stored in this embodiment are electronic devices such as mobile phones such as smartphones and tablet terminals, each of which is a flat-shaped electronic device with a touch panel monitor built into its surface. While details of the information terminals will not be described here, a typical smartphone has a camera on the back and a selfie camera built into the surface. Information terminals come in a variety of sizes, and the bag body 12 is sized to accommodate the information terminal with some play.
[0017] The bag body 12 can be made of a transparent resin sheet, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, or silicone. It can also be multilayered to improve microbial barrier properties, chemical resistance, and light transmission, or coated with a protective film. Materials suitable for sterilization can also be selected. In this specification, "transparent" refers to materials with slightly lower light transmittance, such as translucency, or materials with a slight color. The information terminal storage bag 10 of this embodiment is designed to be used after storing an information terminal. Therefore, the bag body 12 has a thickness and flexibility (flexibility) that allows the information terminal to be operated by pushbuttons or touching the information terminal through the material of the bag body 12.
[0018] The bag body 12 may have a structure in which, for example, two sheets are closed on three sides 12r, 12l, and 12b at the front and back, or may be formed into a cylindrical shape by blow molding with the bottom side closed. Also, the two sheets at the front and back may be formed by folding one sheet, in which case the bag body 12 can be formed by closing the bottom side and the open side.
[0019] The open end of the bag body 12 is provided with a collar 14 that is continuous with the connection 20 at one end of the bag body 12, widens outward in diameter, and has an opening 18 at its outermost portion. The collar 14 can be formed from a single sheet material that is continuous with the bag body 12, or it can be formed by forming the collar 14 separately and then bonding the separate collar 14 to the open end of the bag body 12 by welding or the like. "Widely increasing in diameter" means that the diameter of the opening defined by the collar 14 increases with increasing distance from the end of the bag body 12, with the opening being largest at the position farthest from the end of the bag body 12. The opening 18 is provided at the outermost portion. This widening of the diameter can be achieved by a structure in which the end 14e of the collar 14 appears uniform, as shown in FIG. 1 , or by a curved or stepped structure in which the end 14e of the collar 14 is not necessarily symmetrical.
[0020] The collar 14 can be made of the same material as the bag body 12, or a different material can be selected. If the collar 14 is made of the same material as the bag body 12, resins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, nylon, polyvinyl chloride, and silicone can be used. Furthermore, if the collar 14 is made of a different material from the bag body 12, the sheet can be made slightly harder than the bag body 12 to make it easier to insert the information terminal 12, and a separately molded sheet can be glued on.
[0021] A zipper 16 for opening and closing the bag body is provided on the inside of the collar 14. The zipper 16 serves to seal the inside of the collar 14 and the inside of the bag body 12 from the position where the zipper 16 is provided, and functions to confine germs that may be attached to an inserted information terminal within the inside of the bag body 12 and the space inside the zipper 16 of the collar 14 by sealing the zipper 16. The zipper may be configured as a Ziploc® made of polypropylene or polyethylene, or may be any other sealing method that achieves airtightness. Multiple zippers 16 may be provided on the collar 14 to prevent accidental release of the airtight seal.
[0022] The information terminal storage bag 10 of this embodiment can be sterilized. Sterilization processes that can be applied to the information terminal storage bag 10 of this embodiment include ethylene oxide gas (EOG) sterilization, moist heat sterilization, hydrogen peroxide sterilization, radiation sterilization, etc. To maintain the sterilized state before use, the opening 18 side can be structured to be closed before use, or can be structured so that the closed end can be torn off (tear-off) when in use.
[0023] When the information terminal storage bag 10 is formed in this manner, the information terminal can be easily inserted into the bag body 12 without any contact with the outside of the zipper portion 16 (the side farther from the bag body 12), thereby preventing the spread of germs and other contaminants present in the information terminal. Figures 2 to 3 show how an information terminal 24 is inserted into the information terminal storage bag 10. As shown in Figure 2, for example, first, the information terminal storage bag 10 is held in the left hand, and the upper side of the information terminal 24 to be inserted is grasped with the right hand. Next, as shown in Figure 3, the lower end of the information terminal 24 to be inserted is pushed through the opening 18 of the information terminal storage bag 10 toward the bag body 12. At this time, the opening 18 of the information terminal storage bag 10 opens the widest around the information terminal 24, followed by the zipper 16 which follows the shape of the collar 14, and the connection 20 between the collar 14 and the bag body 12 opens slightly less than the opening of the zipper 16. In particular, by grasping the vicinity of the connection 20 of the information terminal storage bag 10, the user can hold the connection 20 between the collar 14 and the bag body 12 so that it opens inside the bag, and the information terminal 24 held in the right hand can be inserted into this open portion.
[0024] During this insertion, the opening near the connection portion 20 is smallest, and the zipper portion 16 and opening 18 become wider openings, so the information terminal 24 can be inserted into the bag body 12 without coming into contact with the zipper portion 16 or the outermost portion 18 at all, and immediately after insertion, the zipper portion 16 can be closed to seal the information terminal 24 inside the bag.
[0025] For example, in a structure that does not have a collar portion 14, the connection portion, zipper portion, and opening are all the same diameter, and even if the operator is careful when inserting the information terminal, it is possible that the information terminal may come into contact with the narrow zipper portion or opening. However, in an information terminal storage bag 10 that has a structure that has a collar portion 14, the zipper portion 16 and opening portion 18 are wider openings, so the information terminal 24 can be sealed inside the bag without coming into contact with these parts.
[0026] Figures 4 and 5 show other examples of the procedure for inserting an information terminal. If the collar 14 is large and its diameter increases outward, as shown in Figure 4, the collar 14 can be folded back in the opposite direction near the connection part 20, as shown in Figure 5. In this folded state with the zipper part turned outward, the opening for inserting the information terminal 24 is located at the connection part 20, and the zipper part 16 and the opening part 18 are spaced apart from the connection part 20, making it even easier to seal the information terminal 24 in the bag without coming into contact with the zipper part 16 and the opening part 18.
[0027] Second Embodiment The information terminal storage bag 30 of this embodiment is an example having a light-shielding portion that suppresses light transmission. Information terminals such as recent smartphones are generally equipped with cameras, and when a user looks at the information terminal to learn how to operate a medical device in an operating room, for example, the operating room situation, the patient's face, medical records, and other personal information may be captured via the camera. Therefore, the information terminal storage bag 30 of this embodiment has a light-shielding portion in an appropriate location, taking into account the location of the information terminal's camera, thereby enhancing the function of protecting personal information.
[0028] In Figure 6, an information terminal storage bag 30 is composed of two sheets 31 and 32, a front sheet and a back sheet, with the front sheet 31 being a transparent resin sheet and the back sheet 32 being a resin sheet with an opaque light-shielding portion. While Figure 6 shows an example in which the light-shielding portion is formed not only on the bag body but also on the collar, it is also possible to provide a light-shielding portion only at the position of the camera of the information terminal on the back sheet 32. In the information terminal storage bag 30, the back sheet 32 serves as a light-shielding portion, so that the back sheet 32, which has a light-shielding function, covers the lens of the camera located on the back side of the information terminal, thereby preventing the leakage of personal information from this camera.
[0029] 7 is a diagram showing an information terminal 24 stored in the information terminal storage bag 30 of this embodiment. The front sheet 31 made of a transparent resin sheet allows the screen of the information terminal 24 to be seen as is, but the back sheet 32 makes the information terminal 24 completely invisible even when inserted, and even if the camera is operated, the back sheet 32 has a light-shielding function and blocks the incident light of the camera, thereby suppressing the camera's function.
[0030] Figures 8 and 9 show a modified example of the second embodiment. This section explains how to change the camera mode after storing the information terminal 24 in the information terminal storage bag 33. With the consent of the surgical patient, this camera mode can be easily changed. Specifically, this information terminal storage bag 33 has a light-blocking sheet 34 on the back surface of the bag body, while the collar 35 and the front surface of the bag body are transparent. When an information terminal 24, such as a smartphone, is inserted into the information terminal storage bag 33 and the bottom of the information terminal 24 reaches the bottom of the bag body, the lens of the information terminal 24 is positioned within the sheet 34 on the back surface of the bag body, thereby suppressing the camera function of the information terminal 24. Then, as shown in Figures 8 and 9, gradually moving the information terminal 24 toward the collar 35, away from the bottom of the bag body, the lens of the information terminal 24 becomes visible within the collar 35, indicating that the camera of the information terminal 24 is ready for use.
[0031] Third Embodiment The information terminal storage bag 40 of this embodiment has a collar 44 that is continuous with the bag body 42, and hook-and-loop fasteners 48 made of hook or loop members are arranged in a portion of the collar 44 and near the upper end of the bag body 42, away from the camera position, and hook-and-loop fasteners 50 made of loop or hook members are provided so as to adhere to these hook-and-loop fasteners 48. When using the camera, as shown in Fig. 10, the hook-and-loop fasteners 50 are removed, so that the lens of the information terminal 24 is exposed near a portion of the collar 44 and the upper end of the bag body 42, allowing the camera function of the information terminal 24 to be used. In particular, because a peeling sound is made when the hook-and-loop fastener is peeled, it is not possible to take secret photos if someone is in the same room, further contributing to the protection of personal information.
[0032] Fourth Embodiment The information terminal storage bag 60 of this embodiment is an example in which double-sided tape 62 is arranged on the outer surface of the bag. When in use, the release paper 64 is peeled off and the information terminal can be fixed in place with the double-sided tape 62, as shown in Fig. 11. This allows the information terminal to be fixed to various objects such as the side of equipment, a wall, an operating table, a medical professional, or a patient, making it highly convenient to use. In particular, since the operating table can be relatively slippery during surgery, this is extremely effective in allowing the information terminal to be placed on the operating table.
[0033] Fifth Embodiment An information terminal storage bag 70 of this embodiment is a modified example of the information terminal storage bag 10 of the first embodiment, and as shown in Fig. 12, the collar 74 is frustoconical, with a zipper 76 located midway on the slope, and the upper end of the frustoconical collar 74 forming an opening 78. The lower part of the collar 74 is continuous with the bag-shaped bag main body 72. The collar 74 has a frustoconical shape and can be made of a relatively hard olefin-based resin, making it easy to open the opening 78 wide.
[0034] Sixth Embodiment The information terminal storage bag 80 of this embodiment is a modified version of the information terminal storage bag 10 of the first embodiment. As shown in FIG. 13 , the side 83 of the bag body 82 extends directly to the collar 84, which can be formed by folding a single sheet at the side 83. The end of the collar 84 opposite the side 83 is designed to widen diagonally, with a zipper 86 located midway along the edge. When inserting an information terminal, the opening 88 is the widest point, with the zipper 86 opening slightly smaller than the opening. The connection portion of the bag body 82 has an opening that is narrower than the zipper 86. Therefore, when inserting an information terminal, the information terminal can be easily inserted into the bag body 82 without coming into contact with the opening 88 or the zipper 86. Furthermore, because one side is folded, the bag is easier to manufacture than a structure that is closed on three sides.
[0035] 14 and 15 , an information terminal storage bag 90 according to a seventh embodiment has a collar 94 folded in a reverse mountain fold near a connection 95 and then folded again at a bend 93 to form a raised collar, with a zipper 96 located in the raised area and an opening 98 formed at the outermost periphery. When inserting an information terminal 24, the bottom of the information terminal 24 is inserted into the exposed connection 95 of the bag body 92, allowing the information terminal 24 to be easily inserted into the bag body 92. At this time, the zipper 96 and the opening 98 are spaced apart from the connection 95, allowing the information terminal 24 to be sealed within the bag without coming into contact with the zipper 96 or the opening 98.
[0036] Eighth Embodiment As shown in FIGS. 16 and 17 , this embodiment is an example in which a relatively small, rectangular light-shielding portion 101 is also provided on the surface sheet 102 side. That is, the information terminal storage bag 100 of this embodiment has a bag body structure in which the surface sheet 102 and the back sheet 103 are overlapped and closed on three sides, and the back sheet 103 is made of a light-shielding film on the entire surface of the bag body. A collar portion 104 is provided that is continuous with the bag body and expands outward, with an opening 108 at its outermost end. Both the surface and back of the collar portion 104 are made of a transparent resin sheet. A zipper portion 106 is provided midway through the collar portion 104, allowing the inserted information terminal 24 to be sealed. The information terminal storage bag 100 of this embodiment also reliably protects personal information by utilizing the light-shielding back sheet 103 and light-shielding portion 101. The size and position of the light-shielding portion 101 are aligned with the position of the front camera lens 26 of the information terminal 24. When the information terminal 24 is inserted into the bag body, the light-shielding portion 101 inhibits the camera function of the front camera 26 of the information terminal 24. At the same time, the light-shielding back sheet 103 inhibits the camera function of the rear camera lens 28 of the information terminal 24. The light-shielding portion 101 is sized and positioned so that light from the monitor screen of the information terminal 24, in particular, other than the camera lens, is sufficiently transmitted. In the information terminal storage bag 100 with this structure, as shown in Figures 8 and 9 as a modified example of the second embodiment, the user can move the front camera lens 26 and the rear camera lens 28 together with the information terminal 24 within the bag body to move the respective lens positions away from the light-irradiated areas of the light-shielding portion 101 and the back sheet 103, thereby enabling a change from a personal information protection mode to a camera mode. While the light-shielding portion 101 is rectangular, it may be circular, elliptical, polygonal, or other shapes.
[0037] In the above-described embodiment, use in medical settings has been mainly described, but the storage bag for information terminals of the present invention is not limited to medical use, and is expected to be used in clean rooms to block out dust and dirt in industries such as semiconductors and precision machinery, in places where people enter food manufacturing and pharmaceutical work, and even in places where the effects of bacteria and viruses are suppressed, such as when serving food and drink, and has a wide range of applications.
