Description

[0001] Dishwasher rack for a dishwasher and dishwasher

[0002] The invention relates to a dishware holder for a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, comprising a holder structure for holding dishes, in particular dishes, which has a holder base and which comprises a plurality of longitudinal wires and transverse wires, with a folding spike insert which has a row of spaced-apart spikes arranged on a support wire, and with a bearing device which is fastened, in particular latched, to the holder structure.

[0003] The document DE 31 35 458 A1 discloses a dish basket for dishwashers with dish holders that can be adjusted to the dishes to be accommodated and are pivotably mounted in a wire mesh frame. The dish holders consist of individual mesh bars arranged in rows in the mesh frame with attached support brackets for the dishes. The mesh bars can be inserted into plug-in elements arranged in the mesh frame in such a way that the support brackets lie in the plane of the basket base in one pivoting position and protrude from the basket base at an angle of up to 90° in the other pivoting position as supports for the dishes. The plug-in elements can consist of plastic pieces fastened at a distance on the outer longitudinal beams of the dish basket. The catches or similar holders can have catches or similar holders for receiving the non-circular ends of the mesh bars that lie transversely to the longitudinal beams and form the basket base.

[0004] The document DE 10 2004 035 726 A1 discloses a dish basket for accommodating a plurality of different items of crockery, particularly in a dishwasher, with a rake-like holding device consisting of a plurality of prongs that can be folded between different pivoting positions. The holding device is formed from at least two rows of folding prongs that can be folded independently of one another between the different pivoting positions. Each row of folding prongs can have its own axis of rotation. The axis of rotation of one of the rows of folding prongs can be arranged above a wire mat of the dish basket, and the axis of rotation of the other row of folding prongs can be arranged below the wire mat of the dish basket. Furthermore, a bearing plate can be provided as a support for the bearings for each holding device, which bearing plate is detachably connected to a side wall of the dish basket.

[0005] The document DE 10 2018 206 250 A1 discloses a dish basket for a household dishwasher, comprising a first folding spike insert having a first row of spikes, a second folding spike insert having a second row of spikes, a basket structure for receiving dishes, which has a base, and a bearing device which is fastened to the basket structure and which, when the first and second folding spike inserts are attached to it, supports at least one of the first and second folding spike inserts so that it can be folded about an axis. The first and second folding spike inserts are mounted on the storage device in such a way that the spikes of the first and second rows, viewed in a direction parallel to the axis, can be arranged in alignment and at an angle to one another, and the first and second folding spike inserts can be brought to the storage device from the same side of the floor for storage on the storage device.

[0006] The previously known holders, such as plug-in elements, bearing plates and storage devices, for folding spike inserts have the disadvantage that their locking elements and / or bearings must be assembled manually. This often involves first joining the individual folding spike insert to the holder, which is time-consuming and therefore expensive, and then inserting it into the dish basket with two hands and locking it into place. This manual assembly process is extremely ergonomically unfavorable for the worker, not least due to the sometimes very high assembly forces. In many cases, the plastic parts, especially the holders, are preheated at the assembly point to reduce the required assembly forces and thus facilitate assembly for the worker. Automation with current solutions is only partially or partially possible, possibly with increased assembly costs. As a result, the assembly costs for dishwashers, particularly domestic dishwashers, with folding spike inserts also represent a significant portion of the total costs for a fully assembled dish rack. Therefore, the object of the invention is to provide a dish rack, particularly a lower rack, for a dishwasher, particularly a domestic dishwasher, which enables faster assembly that is significantly easier for a worker, particularly with regard to the required assembly forces. Furthermore, the possibility of automating the assembly process for the assembly consisting of a folding spike insert and at least one storage device in a cost- and time-efficient manner without major effort is to be provided.

[0007] To achieve the object according to the invention, a dishware holder for a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, is proposed, comprising a receiving structure for receiving dishes, in particular dishes, which has a receiving base and which comprises a plurality of longitudinal wires and transverse wires, with a folding spike insert which has a row of spaced-apart spikes arranged on a support wire, and with a bearing device which is fastened, in particular latched, to the receiving structure. The bearing device foldably supports the support wire of the folding spike insert at its end about an axis between an operating position and a rest position, and the bearing device and the folding spike insert for storage on the bearing device can be brought up to the dishware holder from the same side of the receiving base.

[0008] The solution according to the invention is particularly characterized by the fact that the assembly, consisting of a folding spike insert and at least one bearing device, can be mounted from one side. This enables easy installation of the folding spike insert, both manually and automatically, even in the event of a safety mechanism being present.

[0009] Assembly "from one side" means that all components of the entire assembly can be mounted from the same side of the dishware holder, i.e., from the operational underside or from the operational top of the dishware holder. This advantageously simplifies the assembly process of the assembly, particularly reducing effort and costs. In a first embodiment, at least one receptacle, preferably two receptacles, are provided on the bearing device, each for a support wire of the folding spike insert.

[0010] This allows at least two rows of folding spikes to be arranged in a row at the shortest possible distance from each other. Furthermore, material and assembly costs can be significantly reduced due to the reduced number of storage facilities.

[0011] In a second embodiment, it is provided that the respective receptacle for the carrier wire of the folding spike insert has a bearing shell that is open at the top, a groove that adjoins the upwardly open bearing shell at an angle and has a lateral locking lug, and an open opening that adjoins the upwardly open bearing shell for receiving the carrier wire of the folding spike insert.

[0012] The angle between the upwardly open bearing shell and the adjoining groove with a lateral locking lug is preferably 90° + / - 10°, preferably 90° + / - 5°, in particular 90°, wherein the groove adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell with a lateral locking lug is preferably aligned horizontally and / or parallel to the receiving structure. This geometric configuration with the aforementioned angular ranges allows advantageous positioning of the folding spike insert. The advantageous positioning of the folding spike insert particularly includes folding out (“operating position”) and folding down (“rest position”) of the folding spike insert. In the unfolded position, the carrier wire of the folding spike insert is mounted in the upwardly open bearing shell, whereas in the folded-down position the carrier wire of the folding spike insert is mounted in the groove adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell at an angle.

[0013] By providing suitable detents, even further intermediate positions, such as 30°, 45°, etc., relative to the horizontal, can be realized. In a further embodiment, the open aperture for receiving the carrier wire of the folding spike insert has an insertion opening, preferably inclined upwards, for the carrier wire of the folding spike insert.

[0014] An insertion opening designed in this way reduces the assembly forces for the assembly in question and at the same time increases the ease of assembly of the assembly.

[0015] In a further embodiment, it is provided that at least one reinforcing structure, in particular a partial shell, supporting the carrier wire of the folding spike insert is provided on the outside of the open opening for receiving the carrier wire of the folding spike insert.

[0016] The reinforcement structure ensures, among other things, that the carrier wire of the folding spike insert is guided reliably and precisely over a longer area.

[0017] In a further embodiment, it is provided that a stiffening structure, in particular a vertically aligned stiffening web, is provided on the top and outside of the open opening.

[0018] This stiffening structure, particularly the stiffening web, provides a noticeable improvement in both the rigidity and torsional rigidity of the bearing assembly. Furthermore, the stiffening structure, particularly the stiffening web, only slightly increases the material used in the bearing assembly.

[0019] In a further embodiment, it is provided that a locking element, in particular a locking spring, is attached to the outside of the storage device, which at least partially covers the open opening for receiving the carrier wire of the folding spike insert when a free end is formed and which ensures that the carrier wire of the folding spike insert remains in the mounted position during its storage in the storage device.

[0020] The locking element, especially the locking spring, contributes significantly to improving the functionality and operational reliability of the bearing device. Thanks to the locking mechanism, an additional securing component, which would incur associated material and assembly costs, is no longer required for the folding spike insert.

[0021] In a further embodiment, it is provided that the free end of the locking element, in particular of the locking spring, has a downwardly open and partially shell-shaped end contour in its lower region.

[0022] A locking element designed in this way with a downwardly open and partially shell-shaped end contour reliably prevents the locking spring from moving upwards after assembly.

[0023] In a further embodiment, it is provided that a cover, in particular a cover web, is mounted vertically above the locking element, in particular the locking spring, which prevents items to be washed, in particular dishes, placed in the washware holder from pressing the locking element, in particular the locking spring, downwards and thereby releasing the carrier wire of the folding spike insert.

[0024] This safety mechanism, designed as a cover, ensures the reliable operation of the storage device. Accidental release of the support wire of the folding spike insert during use is completely prevented.

[0025] In a further embodiment, it is provided that the carrier wire of the folding spike insert has an angled section, preferably with an angle of 90°, at its end mounted in the bearing device.

[0026] This angled section on the carrier wire of the folding spike insert allows for simple and cost-effective positioning of the folding spike insert in different operating conditions.

[0027] In a further embodiment, the support wire of the folding spike insert has a straight section at its free end. This straight section of the support wire of the folding spike insert allows for simple, cost-effective, and fixed spatial positioning of the folding spike insert along two different spatial axes and a possible longitudinal expansion of the support wire of the folding spike insert along the third spatial axis.

[0028] In a further embodiment, it is provided that the dishware holder comprises a plurality of folding spike inserts and at least one storage device, preferably two folding spike inserts and one storage device, particularly preferably four folding spike inserts and two storage devices, in particular six folding spike inserts and three storage devices.

[0029] Such a design of the dishware holder allows for maximum flexibility and simple and easy adaptation to different operating conditions.

[0030] In a further embodiment, it is provided that the storage device and the folding spike insert for storage on the storage device can be brought from the top side of the receiving base to the dishware holder.

[0031] This approach allows for simple, force-reduced, and ergonomic assembly of the storage device and the folding spike insert. This approach method is also easy and cost-effective to automate.

[0032] In a further embodiment, it is provided that the dishware holder is arranged as a lower basket in a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher.

[0033] The use of the dishware holder according to the invention as a lower basket (lower loading level) in a dishwasher provides and supports the aforementioned advantages of the inventive embodiments. Alternatively and / or additionally, the dishware holder according to the invention can also be an upper basket (upper loading level) or a cutlery drawer (third loading level). Furthermore, a dishwasher, in particular a household dishwasher, is provided which comprises a dishware holder according to the invention.

[0034] The use of the dishware holder according to the invention in a dishwasher provides and supports the aforementioned advantages of the embodiments according to the invention.

[0035] Further possible implementations of the invention also include combinations of features or embodiments described above or below with respect to the exemplary embodiments that are not explicitly mentioned. In this case, the person skilled in the art will also add individual aspects as improvements or additions to the respective basic form of the invention.

Furthermore, a stiffening structure 26, in particular a vertically oriented stiffening web 26.1, is provided on the top and outside of the open opening 23.

[0056] Furthermore, a locking element 27, in particular a locking spring 27.1, is attached to the outside of the bearing device 15, which at least partially covers the open opening 23 for receiving the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 (see Fig. 5) when a free end 28 is formed, and which ensures that the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 remains in the mounted position during its storage in the bearing device 15. The free end 28 of the locking element 27, in particular of the locking spring 27.1, has a downwardly open and partially shell-shaped end contour 30 in its lower region 29.

[0057] Furthermore, a cover 31, in particular a cover web 31.1, is mounted vertically above the locking element 27, in particular the locking spring 27.1 (see Fig. 5), which prevents items to be washed, in particular dishes, placed in the items to be washed receptacle 12 (see Fig. 1) from pressing the locking element 27, in particular the locking spring 27.1, downwards and thereby releasing the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 (see Fig. 5).

[0058] Fig. 3 shows a schematic perspective view of the bearing device 15 of the dishware holder 12 according to the invention for a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 1) according to Fig. 2, inserted into a receiving structure 32.

[0059] The dishware holder 12 comprises a receiving structure 32 for receiving dishes, in particular dishes, which has a receiving base 33 and which comprises a plurality of longitudinal wires 34.L and transverse wires 34.Q.

[0060] Furthermore, a bearing device 15 is provided, which is fastened, in particular snapped into, the receiving structure 32. For fastening to the receiving structure 32, fastening means 35 are provided on the front and rear of the bearing device 15. The front fastening means 35 can, for example, be two under-engagements 35.1, each of which engages under a transverse wire 34.Q and which centrally accommodates a longitudinal wire 34.L in a recess 36. In contrast, the rear fastening means 35 can, for example, be two clamping over-engagements 35.2, each of which engages over a transverse wire 34.Q and which centrally accommodates a longitudinal wire 34.L in a recess 37.

[0061] Fig. 4 shows a schematic perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the dishware holder 12 according to the invention for a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 1) with the bearing device 15 according to Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, with the receiving structure 32 according to Fig. 3 and with two folding spike inserts 17.

[0062] In extension of Fig. 3, Fig. 4 also shows two unfolded folding spike inserts 17. In the unfolded position ("operating position"; a=90°; see Fig. 5), the carrier wire 18 of the respective folding spike insert 17 is mounted in the groove 21 adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell 20 at an angle a (see Fig. 5). Each folding spike insert 17 has a row of spaced-apart spikes 38 arranged on a carrier wire 18.

[0063] The present design allows for automated assembly of both the bearing device 15 and the folding spike inserts 17. This requires significantly less assembly force, which also significantly simplifies alternative manual assembly.

[0064] Fig. 5 shows a schematic side view of a preferred embodiment of the dishware holder 12 according to the invention for a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 1) according to Fig. 4.

[0065] The respective receptacle 16 (see Fig. 2) of the bearing device 15 for the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 has an upwardly open bearing shell 20, a groove 21 adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell 20 at an angle a with a lateral locking lug 22 (see Fig. 2) and an open opening 23 adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell 20 for receiving the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17.

[0066] The angle a between the upwardly open bearing shell 20 and the adjoining groove 21 with a lateral locking lug 22 (see Fig. 2) is preferably 90° + / - 10°, preferably 90° + / - 5°, in particular 90°, wherein the groove 21 adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell 20 with a lateral locking lug 22 (see Fig. 2) is preferably aligned horizontally and / or parallel to the receiving structure 32. The advantageous positionings of the folding spike insert 17 include in particular a folding out (“operating position”; a=90°) and a folding down (“rest position”; a=0°) of the folding spike insert 17. In the unfolded position, the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 is mounted in the groove 21 adjoining the upwardly open bearing shell 20 at an angle a, whereas the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 is mounted in the upwardly open bearing shell 20 in the folded down position.By providing suitable stops, further intermediate positions, such as 30°, 45° and so on, to the horizontal can also be realized.

[0067] The open opening 23 for receiving the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 has an insertion opening 24, preferably formed obliquely upwards, for the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17.

[0068] Furthermore, at least one reinforcing structure 25, in particular a partial shell 25.1, supporting the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 is provided on the outside of the open opening 23 for receiving the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17.

[0069] Furthermore, a stiffening structure 26, in particular a vertically aligned stiffening web 26.1, is provided on the top and outside of the open opening 23.

[0070] Furthermore, a locking element 27, in particular a locking spring 27.1, is attached to the outside of the storage device 15. This locking element at least partially covers the open opening 23 for receiving the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 while forming a free end 28, and this ensures that the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 remains in the mounted position during its storage in the storage device 15. The free end 28 of the locking element 27, in particular of the locking spring 27.1, has a downwardly open and partially shell-shaped end contour 30 in its lower region 29. Furthermore, a cover 31, in particular a cover web 31.1, is attached vertically above the locking element 27, in particular of the locking spring 27.1, which prevents washware, in particular dishes, placed in the washware holder 12 from disturbing the locking element 27, in particular the locking spring 27.1, downwards and thereby releases the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17.

[0071] The illustrated embodiment is characterized in particular by the fact that the assembly consisting of a folding spike insert 17 and at least one bearing device 15 can be mounted from one side S. This enables easy mounting of the folding spike insert 17, both manually and automatically, even in the event of a possible presence of a safety mechanism.

[0072] Fig. 6 shows a schematic perspective partial view of the carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 of the dishware holder 12 according to the invention for a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 1) according to Fig. 4.

[0073] The support wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 has an angled section 40, preferably with an angle ß of 90°, at its end 39 mounted in the bearing device 15 (not shown; see Fig. 4). The angle ß can be subject to a tolerance of + / - 5°.

[0074] The carrier wire 18 of the folding spike insert 17 has a straight section 42 at its free end 41 (see Fig. 8).

[0075] Fig. 7A to Fig. 7C show several sequences of an exemplary assembly of the bearing device 15 into a receiving structure 32 of the dishware holder 12 according to the invention for a dishwasher 1 (see Fig. 1) according to Fig. 4.

[0076] In a first assembly step MS1 according to Fig. 7A, the bearing device 15 is brought to fit the receiving structure 32.

[0077] In a second assembly step MS2 according to Fig. 7B, the bearing device 15 is fastened, in particular snapped, to the front of the receiving structure 32. Fastening means 35 are provided on the bearing device 15 for the front fastening to the receiving structure 32. The front fastening means 35 can, for example, be two under-engagements 35.1, each of which engages under a transverse wire 34.Q and which centrally accommodates a longitudinal wire 34.L in a recess 36 (see Fig. 3).

[0078] In a third assembly step MS3 according to Fig. 7C, the bearing device 15 is fastened to the rear of the receiving structure 32, in particular by snapping it into place. For the rear fastening to the receiving structure 32, further fastening means 35 are provided on the bearing device 15. The rear fastening means 35 can, for example, be two clamping overlaps 35.2, each of which overlaps a transverse wire 34.Q and which centrally accommodates a longitudinal wire 34.L in a recess 37 (see Fig. 3). Barbs 44 can be provided as clamping means 43, which, after deformation, are supported on the transverse wire 34.Q.
