Abstract
Description
[0001] TWO-WAY TRAFFIC ROAD
[0002] TECHNICAL FIELD
[0003] The invention “Two-Way Traffic Road” belongs to the field of construction of roads in urbanized areas and can be used basically for the reconstruction of existing roads or for the construction of new-generation intensive-and- safe-traffic roads in newly urbanized areas.
[0004] BACKGROUND ART
[0005] There are known two-way traffic roads (Patent No. CN 212895731 U) consisting of a single roadway with two or four traffic lanes, where the opposite traffic lanes are separated by marking lines, and curbs or sidewalks are built on the roadsides by the traffic lanes. This type of road is intended for a traffic of motorized vehicles, non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians. At the intersections of these roads, there are one-level crossings where vehicles can travel in all directions. The pedestrians and also pedestrians who are moving non-motorized vehicles can cross the roadway via marked or unmarked crosswalks for pedestrians.
[0006] At a first glance it would seem that these are ideal roads, because drivers can get to the right place in the shortest distance, and pedestrians are given the opportunity to cross the roadway with their own right. Maybe that's why they are widespread, are built and operated to this day. These roads are convenient only in a light traffic conditions. However, when a traffic is heavy, these roads and their intersections have significant disadvantages:
[0007] 1. Safety problems for all road users because trajectories of vehicle traffic and pedestrian flows cross each other on roads and intersections;
[0008] 2. Low throughput of roads and one-level intersections, because pedestrians at crosswalks, traffic lights or priority signs at intersections make a pulsating traffic and congestion in front of them;
[0009] 3. Traffic safety and road throughput is reduced when vehicles are turning to the objects on the left side of the road and returning to the road on the left side; this also increases transport energy consumption, amortization losses, environmental pollution, traffic intensity on the road and intersections, and contribute to the formation of traffic jams on the roads, while road users are wasting time;
[0010] 4. Such roads provoke the construction of residential houses, other multipurpose passenger attraction centers, even public transport stops on both sides of the road, and these objects create conditions for irrational, unsafe transport and pedestrian movement on the roadway;
[0011] 5. Such roads do not have a developed infrastructure that allows passengers to choose a safe and rational mode of traffic and means of travel.
[0012] Two-directional roads of heavy traffic consisting of two one-way traffic opposite-direction roadways are also known (Patent No. CN 1467342 A, JPH 1 1323804 A and CN 204551157 II). A separating zone is created between the roadways, and curbs (sidewalks) are built outside the roadways. At the intersections of such roads, crossroads are built of one, two or more levels. The throughput of such roads is higher and the traffic is safer when multi-level crossroads are built. Unfortunately, when traffic is intensive, traffic jams occur behind these intersections and at the points of convergence of traffic flows, also the passenger mobility and the logistics of the city companies are not resolved.
[0013] Such roads also have disadvantages that are listed in points 3, 4 and 5.
[0014] SIMILAR INVENTION
[0015] A similar invention is a two-way urban highway depicted in patent no. CN204551157 U, class E01 C1 / 02. The city highway consists of two highspeed, one-way opposite-direction traffic lanes, with two lower-speed roadways built outside them on both sides. These roadways are crossed by a side road at one level. On both sides of the highway, buildings of city administration, trade and other purposes are depicted. Such city highway is extremely unsafe, traffic jams should occur, and a lot of air pollution will be released. The reason is that it has one-level crossings and there are buildings on both sides of the road, which are the main attraction centers for pedestrians and other road users. Pedestrians and light-vehicle drivers are forced to regularly cross the high-speed traffic on such highway. This reduces traffic safety and the capacity of the intersection.
[0016] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0017] The objectives of this claimed invention are to create a safe, rational, efficient and environmentally friendly multi-modal, multi-functional intensive- traffic road for all road users; also, to create one of the possible logistics solutions for city companies. The point is that in order to ensure safe, rational, efficient and environmentally friendly traffic, quick accessibility of passenger attraction centers, to solve the logistics problems of urban enterprises, a multi-functional high-speed, multi-modal two-way road of intensive and safe traffic has been created, in which the roadways of highspeed intensive one-way traffic are built at a distance from each other, which would accommodate buildings of various purposes (trade, finance, services, recreation, manufacturing companies, science, education, administrative institutions); on the right-hand traffic roads, the one-way traffic roadway for the fast and intensive forward travel is laid on the left side of the road, and the one-way traffic roadway for the fast and intensive opposite traffic is laid on the right side of the road; these roadways are connected only by a right-hand turns and a straight, low-speed (20-40 km / h) one-way traffic roadways of local importance with mini-circle-intersections, which are also intended for access to companies, passenger drop-off I pickup points and parking lots for electric cars; on the left-hand traffic roads, the roadway for a fast and intensive one-way traffic for forward travel is laid on the right side of the road, and the roadway for the fast and intensive oneway opposite traffic is laid on the left side of the road; these roadways are connected only by a left-hand turns and straight, low-speed (20-40 km / h) local one-way traffic roadways with mini-circle-intersections; for the safety of pedestrians, disabled people and non-motorized traffic participants, a two-way path is constructed along the road above the local roadways, between buildings, from intersection to intersection, with separated lanes for pedestrians, cyclists and scooters, parking spaces for bicycles and scooters, stairs (escalators, elevators) for pedestrian descent to the first floor; for the mobility of short-distance passengers, a two two-way traffic roads for passenger trams with infrastructure intended for passengers have been built underground under the footpath; on the outer side of the passenger tram roads, two roads for freight trams are built with equipped loading I unloading areas near the buildings of the companies, and logistics terminals are built at the intersections of the main roads; the infrastructure necessary for the two-way traffic of metro trains and passenger traffic is installed for the transit I high-speed passenger mobility service.

[0025] DATA DESCRIBING THE INVENTION
[0026] Fig. 1 / 6 depicts a two-way, high-speed, right-hand traffic hybrid road, where high-speed, one-way traffic lanes 1 and 2 are connected to each other and to systematically arranged structures by low-speed roadways 7, 8, 9 and 1 1 of local significance. In order to make the traffic safe and rational, the maximum driving speed in the first lane of the highway, which is only for changing lanes, is recommended to be 50 km / h, in the second - 60 km / h, in the third - 80 km / h, and in the others - 100 km / h. Driving speed of 20 - 40 km / h is recommended on roadways of local significance.
[0027] Traffic flow order is described below.
[0028] If the driver is driving on the highway and is planning to get to the company he needs, he / she switches to the first traffic lane and, after reducing the speed, enters the local low-speed traffic lane 7 and roadway 8 with a right turn. If it is necessary to drop off or pick up a passenger, the driver can stop in the first lane of this roadway at the designated lane 12. Next, the driver can take a right turn into a parking lot 4 or take a right turn into lane 11 and enter the express roadway in the opposite direction and drive back. If the driver needs to drive further forward after dropping off the passengers at the nearest drop-off point 12, he / she can turn around at the mini-circleintersections 9 and enter the high-speed roadway of the same direction with a right-hand bend in the traffic lane 11 . If the driver and passengers arrive at any company, then the driver enters the parking lot 4 and together with the passengers can safely enter the desired company 3 along the pedestrian path 6.
[0029] As can be seen from the described traffic order, you can drive in any desired direction on this road without making a very dangerous left turn that reduces traffic safety and road capacity. It is particularly important that the trajectories of traffic and pedestrian traffic do not cross on this road.
[0030] A road of similar infrastructure for left-hand traffic roads is shown in Fig. 2 / 6. The recommended driving speeds and traffic order are similar to those described herein.
[0031] A reasonable question may arise. How can pedestrians access the adjacent business company behind the traffic circle at mini-intersection 9?
[0032] For the safe traffic of pedestrians, disabled people, cyclists and scooters, a special pedestrian path 13 has been built above the roadways of local importance in the longitudinal direction of the road from intersection to intersection, between buildings 3 (Fig. 3 / 6 and 4 / 6). Pedestrians can access this path by stairs (escalators) 21 and 22, and disabled people - by elevators 29. According to the direction of traffic, the path is divided into two parts - the right one is for forward traffic, and the left one is for backward traffic. Both parts of the path have three lanes. Right lanes 17 and 25 of each roadway are for pedestrians, middle lanes 18 and 24 are for cyclists, and the left lanes 20 and 23 are for scooters. Next to each staircase, there are areas 16 and 26 for bicycles and 19 and 27 for scooters. The right stairs (escalator) are used by pedestrians and cyclists, and the left - by scooter riders. Cyclists and scooter riders who have entered the pedestrian path and rented a vehicle of their choice can ride the distance of their choice. After arriving at the intended location, they leave the vehicle in the designated location. The pedestrian path has no intersections, different traffic lanes are separated, so traffic is safe on it.
[0033] Companies and other passenger attraction centers generate large passenger and cargo flows. For the logistics service of larger passenger flows and companies, four tracks with infrastructure for passenger and freight tram traffic are installed underground under the pedestrian path along the road (Fig. 5 / 6 and 6 / 6). Passengers can easily and safely enter the tram from the footpath, businesses, and passenger drop-off points and also return to them safely and comfortably.
[0034] Freight trams run behind passenger trams, so they do not interfere with the passenger traffic. Delivered goods are unloaded by loaders at a site specially prepared by the company, they also load onto trams the products prepared by the company. In addition, the freight tram can also be used for the removal of company waste. Therefore, the freight tram not only reduces the traffic of freight cars on the highway and the pollution they emit, but can completely eliminate their traffic, except for ambulance, firefighting and special equipment for street maintenance.
[0035] According to the described logistics model of companies located on the highway, the logistics of trade and service companies located in residential micro districts can also be solved.
[0036] For the transit service of large passenger flows, a tunnel with the necessary infrastructure for subway trains and high-speed passenger transport is installed under the tramway in the second underground. As subway train stops coincide only with some tram stops and highway intersections, these images only show the subway tunnel with the road and carriages in between the subway stops.
[0037] These underground spaces are useful not only for passenger mobility and company logistics; they are also very convenient, reasonable and safe to install engineering networks (electricity, water supply, sewage, and communications), storage facilities and even passenger safety spaces. From the presented two-way road infrastructure and the possibilities of its use, the conclusions follow that the two-way road is:
[0038] - The road of intensive high-speed traffic, because the companies and other passenger attraction centers are rationally located in it, which can be accessed unhindered by the nearest way;
[0039] - Safe traffic and high throughput, because the trajectories of different modes of transport, vehicles and pedestrian traffic do not intersect;
[0040] - Environmentally friendly, because the underground tram not only rationally solves the problem of passenger transportation, the logistics problem of companies, but also reduces or even eliminates freight traffic, congestion and environmental pollution caused by them;
[0041] - Multimodal, as it creates reasonable conditions for the traffic of various transport modules, which improves the mobility of passengers;
[0042] - Reasonable and multifunctional, because it has created reasonable systems of passenger communication, corporate logistics, conditions for reasonable shelters of residents in case of crises and corporate engineering networks.
