Abstract
Description
Bottom clothing
[0001] The present invention relates to bottom clothing, and more particularly to bottom clothing such as shorts, girdles, supports, swimwear, spats, etc., which can effectively alleviate urinary incontinence by adequately supporting the pelvic floor muscles.
[0002] Frequent urination and urinary incontinence in women are generally caused by loosening or weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. Therefore, various types of shorts that support and lift the pelvic floor muscles have been proposed. For example, Patent Document 1 discloses shorts having a front body section connected at its upper end to a waist section, a back body section connected at its upper end to the waist section, and a crotch section disposed between the lower ends of the front and back bodies. The shorts are internally provided with a single elastic band that connects a front elastic band made of an elastic material, a crotch band made of an absorbent material connected to the front elastic band, and a back elastic band connected to the crotch band, the front elastic band being connected to the waist section corresponding to the front body of the shorts, and the rear elastic band being connected to the waist section corresponding to the back body of the shorts. The shorts in Patent Document 1 are described as having a stretchable band that hangs down inside the shorts, which pushes up the pelvic floor muscles when worn, raising awareness of the pelvic floor muscles, and by consciously adopting a posture (exercise) that strengthens the muscles, it is possible to prevent a decrease in the strength of the pelvic floor muscles, prevent prolapse of the internal organs, and relieve anxiety about urinary incontinence, thereby encouraging more proactive participation in activities such as going out and playing sports, thereby improving the quality of life.
[0003] Utility Model Registration No. 3225692
[0004] Thus, conventional pelvic floor muscle support shorts have been developed based on the technical concept of increasing awareness of the pelvic floor muscles by pushing up and holding down weakened, less flexible pelvic floor muscles. However, it is not easy for the wearer to consciously move the pelvic floor muscles themselves. Therefore, the present invention aims to provide bottom clothing that can effectively reduce urinary incontinence, improve the wearer's posture, and support comfortable walking by supporting more effective awareness of the pelvic floor muscles.
[0005] In view of the above problems, the inventors conducted extensive research and discovered that by applying appropriate pressure to at least two locations among the pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx, including the ischium, it is possible to prevent the pelvis from tilting backward and to encourage the wearer to keep the pelvis in the correct position, and that a synergistic effect with the pressure on the pubic bone and / or coccyx can effectively reduce urinary incontinence, improve the wearer's posture, and support comfortable walking, thereby completing the present invention. That is, the bottom garment of the present invention is a bottom garment having a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion, and is characterized by comprising at least two pressure portions, including the second pressure portion, of the first pressure portion located on the lower side of the front portion in an area covering at least a portion of the pubic bone, the second pressure portion located on the lower side of the back portion in an area covering at least a portion of each of the left and right ischia, and the third pressure portion located on the back portion in an area covering at least a portion of the coccyx.
[0006] The third pressing member may also have a base extending vertically upward from below the back portion to a predetermined height, a left inclined portion disposed above the base and extending upward at an angle to the left, and a right inclined portion disposed above the base and extending upward at an angle to the right. The bottom garment of the present invention may be a bottom garment having a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion, and may include a first pressing portion disposed on the front portion in a range covering at least a portion of the pubic bone, a second pressing portion disposed on the back portion in a range covering at least a portion of each of the left and right ischia, and a third pressing portion disposed on the back portion in a range covering at least a portion of the coccyx, wherein the first pressing portion is disposed spaced apart from both the second pressing portion and the third pressing portion, and may be configured to correct the position of the wearer's pelvis. The bottom garment of the present invention is a bottom garment having a front portion, a back portion, and a crotch portion, and includes a first pressing portion provided on the front portion in an area covering at least a portion of the pubic bone, a second pressing portion provided on the back portion in an area covering at least a portion of each of the left and right ischial bones, and a third pressing portion provided on the back portion in an area covering at least a portion of the coccyx, the first pressing portion being provided spaced apart from both the second pressing portion and the third pressing portion, and the first pressing portion, the second pressing portion, and the third pressing portion may be made of a highly stretchable material. The first pressing portion is preferably provided in an area covering the center of the pubic bone.
[0007] The bottom garment of the present invention is characterized by applying appropriate pressure to at least two of the wearer's pubic, ischium, and coccyx, including the ischium. Pressing the ischium prevents the pelvis from tilting backward and encourages the wearer to keep the pelvis in the correct position. Pressing either the pubic or coccyx in addition to the ischium effectively reduces urinary incontinence through their synergistic effects. Furthermore, the bottom garment of the present invention improves the wearer's posture and supports more comfortable walking by widening the stride and making it easier to lift the legs. Pressing both the pubic and coccyx in addition to the ischium encourages the wearer to exert force on the lower abdomen (transverse abdominis), and by pressing the coccyx and pubic bone from the front and back, the pelvis is more stabilized. These synergistic effects, with a configuration that applies pressure to three points (pubic, ischium, and coccyx), stretches weakened pelvic floor muscles and corrects the pelvis to the correct position, thereby achieving even more effective urinary incontinence reduction, posture improvement, and walking assistance.

[0009] An embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. In this specification, the terms "top," "bottom," "right," "left," "front," and "back" refer to the "top," "bottom," "right," "left," "front," and "back" of a wearer wearing a bottom garment of the present invention. In the following, unless otherwise specified, the vertical direction of the wearer's body, i.e., the "longitudinal direction," will be referred to as the "vertical direction," and the horizontal direction of the wearer's body, i.e., the "horizontal direction," will be referred to as the "lateral direction." In this specification, the "stretch direction" of a fabric or the fabric "stretching in a specific direction" refers to the direction in which the fabric is likely to stretch. However, unless otherwise specified, this does not exclude stretchability in directions other than the "stretch direction" or "stretchable" direction. In this specification, the terms "pressure member" and "pressure portion" are used interchangeably. However, the term "pressing portion" can also be used to refer to a portion of a single member, for example, when the second pressing member and the third pressing member are integrated, the portion that presses the tailbone is referred to as the "second pressing portion" and the portion that presses the ischium is referred to as the "third pressing portion."
[0010] In the following embodiments, the configuration of the present invention will be described using shorts as an example, but the present invention can also be applied to bottom clothing such as girdles, supports (pelvic supports), swimsuits, and spats. Furthermore, in the following embodiments, normal-leg shorts with hems cut along the groin (the base of the legs) will be described as an example, but the configuration of the present invention can also be applied to high-leg shorts with leg openings cut higher than the base of the legs and low-leg shorts with hems cut horizontally below the hips. Furthermore, the configuration of the present invention can be suitably used regardless of the hem length of the bottom clothing, such as girdles that cover at least a portion of the thighs and extend from the waist to above the knees, or spats that reach the ankles.
[0011] The bottom garment of the present invention is characterized by its ability to effectively reduce urinary incontinence by applying appropriate pressure to two locations, including the ischial bone, among the pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx, to stimulate and stretch weakened pelvic floor muscles. The following describes in detail the first, second, and third pressure members for pressing the pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx, respectively. (1) First Pressure Member: The first pressure member of the present invention is positioned to press the wearer's pubic bone. The pubic bone is a bone located at the front lower part of the hip bones that make up both sides of the pelvis, and the left and right pubic bones are connected by the pubic symphysis. The first pressure member of the present invention is positioned below the front portion of the bottom garment body in an area covering at least a portion of each of the left and right pubic bones, preferably in an area covering at least a portion of the left and right pubic bones, including the center of the pubic bone. Pressing the pubic bone encourages the wearer to exert force on the lower abdominal region (transverse abdominis). (2) Second Pressing Member The second pressing member of the present invention is positioned so as to press against the wearer's ischial bones. The ischial bones are bones located at the rear lower part of the hip bones that make up both sides of the pelvis, and there are two ischial bones in the human body, left and right. The second pressing member of the present invention is positioned on the lower back of the bottom garment body in an area that covers at least a portion of each of the left and right ischial bones. By pressing against the ischial bones, the pelvis is prevented from tipping backward, and the wearer is made aware of keeping the pelvis in the correct position. (3) Third Pressing Member The third pressing member of the present invention is positioned so as to press against the wearer's coccyx. The coccyx, together with the sacrum, constitutes the posterior surface of the pelvis and is a bone that originally existed as a continuation of the spine. The third pressing member of the present invention is positioned on the back of the bottom garment body in an area that covers at least a portion of the coccyx. In addition to the above-mentioned pressure on the pubic bone, the third pressing member of the present invention stabilizes the pelvis by pressing against the coccyx and pubic bone from the front and back.
[0012] The configuration of the present invention, which includes the first and second pressure members, achieves an excellent stride-increasing effect and a sufficient posture improvement effect. Furthermore, the configuration of the present invention, which includes the second and third pressure members, achieves an excellent posture improvement effect and a sufficient posture improvement effect. As described above, the bottom garment of the present invention, which has an excellent posture improvement effect and a sufficient posture improvement effect, can support effective awareness of the pelvic floor muscles and effectively reduce urinary leakage. Furthermore, the configuration including the first pressure member in addition to the second pressure member presses the lower abdomen, thereby achieving an even more excellent posture improvement effect and a sufficient posture improvement effect. This effect is thought to be due to the synergistic effect of pressing the ischium and pubic bone, or the ischium and coccyx, and is difficult to achieve with a configuration in which the first, second, and third pressure members are installed alone, or with a configuration in which the first and third pressure members are installed together. The configuration of the present invention, which includes the first, second, and third pressure members, achieves an even more excellent posture improvement effect and a sufficient posture improvement effect. This is thought to be a synergistic effect of three-point support of the pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx, and the above configuration can achieve more stable and excellent posture improvement effects, increased stride length, and urinary incontinence reduction effects. It has also been confirmed that the shorts of the present invention configured as described above have an improved posture improvement effect, increased stride length when worn, and improved comfort when worn compared to conventional hammock-style shorts.
[0013] As described above, the effects of the present invention can be achieved by installing at least two pressing members, including the second pressing member, among the first, second, and third pressing members. Below, we will explain the configuration of shorts equipped with the first, second, and third pressing members based on an example. 1. First Embodiment Figure 1 is a diagram showing the front surface (outside) (A) and the back surface (outside) (B) of shorts according to a first embodiment of the present invention. Also, Figure 2 is a diagram showing the back surface (skin side) (A) of the front surface and the back surface (skin side) (B) of the shorts according to this embodiment.
[0014] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the panty body 1 of this embodiment is composed of a front section 2, which is disposed on the front of the panty body 1 and covers the wearer's lower abdomen; a back section 4, which is disposed on the back of the panty body 1 and covers the wearer's buttocks; a crotch section 3, which connects the lower end of the front section 2 to the lower end of the back section 4; and left and right side sections 5a, 5b, which are disposed between the left and right ends of the front section 2 and the back section 4, sewn together. In this embodiment, the panty body 1 is made of cotton bare jersey, but the material of the bottom garment body of the present invention is not limited to this and any material can be used as long as it has the desired stretch direction and stretchability. In particular, knit fabrics such as cotton bare jersey, smooth, and Russell are preferably used. Furthermore, the material of the bottom garment body can be selected depending on the purpose of the bottom garment, for example, if the bottom garment is incontinence shorts, a water-absorbent and water-repellent material can be used, and if it is a girdle, power net or satin net can be used. A patch made of a material such as cotton jersey, mesh, or water-absorbent / water-repellent material can be placed over the skin side of the crotch portion 3.
[0015] As described above, in this embodiment, the shorts body 1 is formed by sewing together the front portion 2, the back portion 4, the crotch portion 3, and the side portions 5a, 5b. However, this embodiment is not limited to the structure of the bottom garment body of the above embodiment, and can be applied to various bottom garments, such as seamless shorts with no seams, seamless shorts with fewer seams, and girdles formed by sewing together even more members than in the above embodiment, as long as the configuration allows for the placement of the first, second, and third pressing members described below.
[0016] As shown in Figures 2(A) and 3, the first pressure member 6 of this embodiment is generally T-shaped and is installed below the back side of the front portion 2 of the shorts body 1. The left and right ends 6b, 6b of the first pressure member 6 conform to the shapes of the left and right ends of the front portion 2 of the shorts body 1 and are sewn to the seams where the left and right ends of the front portion 2 are sewn to the left and right ends of the corresponding left and right side portions 5a, 5b. The ends 6c, 6c connected to the lower sides of the left and right ends 6b, 6b of the first pressure member 6 conform to the shape of the leg openings of the front portion 2 and are sewn to the leg openings of the front portion 2. The lower end 6d of the first pressure member 6 conforms to the shape of the lower end of the front portion 2 and is positioned adjacent to the front end of the crotch portion 3 and sewn thereto. The upper end 6a of the first pressure member 6 has a downwardly convex curve and is sewn to the front portion 2. In this embodiment, the first pressure member 6 is made of power net. Although the material of the first pressure member 6 is not limited to this, it is preferable to use a highly stretchable material in order to effectively apply pressure to and stimulate the pubic bone. Examples of such fabrics include power net, satin net, 2-way tricot material, stretch lace, and Toriskin (registered trademark).
[0017] In this embodiment, a first pressure member 6, which is elongated in the horizontal direction and made of a highly stretchable material, is placed below the front portion 2 of the shorts body 1 and covers the wearer's left and right pubic bones, including their centers, thereby effectively applying pressure to and stimulating the pubic bones. In this embodiment, the first pressure member 6 is placed in an area that covers at least a portion of the left and right pubic bones, including the center of the pubic bones. However, its shape, area, and placement are not limited to the above configuration. The location of the pubic bone center cannot be determined in general because it varies from wearer to wearer. However, the horizontal center is located near the center of the front portion of the shorts. Meanwhile, in shorts with a typical design like this embodiment, the vertical (height) center of the pubic bone is typically located 20 mm to 70 mm above the junction of the front portion 2 and the crotch portion 3, and more typically, 30 mm to 60 mm above the junction of the front portion 2 and the crotch portion 3 (corresponding to the range h1 in FIG. 3 ). The first pressure member 6 is preferably disposed within a range including at least a portion of the above-described range, and more preferably within the entire range. In this embodiment, the first pressure member 6 is disposed over the entire range 85 mm above the junction between the front panel 2 and the crotch panel 3 (corresponding to the solid line h2 in FIG. 3 ), covering the entire area of the center of the pubic bone described above. Therefore, in this embodiment, the first pressure member 6 can more effectively press the pubic bone. The position of the upper end of the first pressure member 6 is not particularly limited as long as it includes the range of the center of the pubic bone described above. However, if the upper end of the first pressure member 6 is positioned beyond 110 mm, further pressure cannot be expected and may even be dispersed. Therefore, the upper limit of the upper end of the first pressure member 6 is preferably set to 110 mm above the junction between the front panel 2 and the crotch panel 3 (corresponding to the sum of the solid line and dashed line h2 in FIG. 3 ). In this embodiment, the shape of the first pressing member 6 is not particularly limited as long as it is placed over at least a part of the pubic bone, more preferably over an area covering the center of the pubic bone. For example, it may be a circle, a polygon, an ellipse, or the like, with the center point at the center of the pubic bone. Here, by making the shape of the first pressure member 6 elongated in the horizontal direction, the area covering the pubic bone is increased, making it possible to compensate for differences in pubic bone position due to individual differences between wearers. The area of the first pressure member 6 in this embodiment can be designed appropriately depending on the stretchability of the material constituting the pressure member. However, applying low pressure over a wide area (surface) is preferable to applying high pressure over a narrow area (point), as this allows for compression while reducing the feeling of tightness when worn. For example, in the shorts of this embodiment, a better effect can be achieved by setting the area of the first pressure member to 30 to 60% of the total area of the front part of the shorts body as 100%.
[0018] In the first embodiment, the first pressing member is made of a single piece of material (fabric). However, the first pressing portion may be configured with multiple members. For example, as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B, a member covering the right pubic bone and a member covering the left pubic bone may be arranged as separate members. In FIG. 4A, the right-side first pressing member 6r1 and the left-side first pressing member 6l1 are arranged adjacent to each other near the center of the pubic bone. The effects of the present invention can be achieved even if the left and right first pressing members 6r1 and 6l1 are spaced apart, as long as they cover an area including the center of the pubic bone. However, it is preferable to position the left and right first pressing members 6r1 and 6l1 as close together as possible to ensure that they cover an area including the center of the pubic bone. Furthermore, in FIG. 4B, the right-side first pressing member 6r2 and the left-side first pressing member 6l2 are arranged overlapping in an area including the center of the pubic bone. The effects of the present invention can also be achieved with such a configuration.
[0019] As shown in FIGS. 2(B) and 5, the second pressure member 7 of this embodiment is generally trapezoidal and is installed below the back side of the back portion 4 of the shorts body 1. The left and right ends 7b, 7b of the second pressure member 7 conform to the shape of the leg openings of the back portion 4 and are sewn to the leg openings of the back portion 4. The lower end 7c of the second pressure member 7 conforms to the shape of the lower end of the back portion 4 and is positioned adjacent to the rear end of the crotch portion 3 and sewn thereto. The upper end 6a of the second pressure member 7 protrudes upward near the lateral center, and from the central protrusion at the upper end of the second pressure member 7 to the left and right ends, each curves downwardly convexly and is sewn to the back portion 4. Like the first pressure member 6, the second pressure member 7 is also made of power net. While the material of the second pressure member 7 is not limited to this, it is preferable to use a highly stretchable material in order to effectively apply pressure and stimulate the ischial tuberosities. Such a fabric may be made of the same material as that of the first pressing member 6 described above.
[0020] In this embodiment, a second pressure member 7, elongated in the horizontal direction and made of a highly stretchable material, is placed below the back portion 4 of the shorts body 1 and covers the wearer's left and right ischial bones, thereby effectively applying pressure and stimulating the ischial bones. The shape, area, and location of the second pressure member 7 in this embodiment are not limited to the above configuration, as long as it is placed in an area that covers at least a portion of each of the left and right ischial bones. While the position of the ischial bones varies from wearer to wearer and cannot be determined in general, in shorts with a typical design such as this embodiment, the vertical position of the ischial bones is typically between 10 mm and 60 mm above the junction of the back portion 4 and the crotch portion 3 (corresponding to the range h3 in Figure 5(B)). Therefore, it is preferable to place the second pressure member 7 in an area that includes at least a portion of this area, and even more preferably in an area that includes the entire area. In this embodiment, the second pressing member 7 is positioned over almost the entire range of 70 mm above the junction of the back portion 4 and the crotch portion 3, covering the entire range of the vertical positions of the ischial bones described above. Therefore, in this embodiment, the second pressing member 7 can effectively press the ischial bones. The position of the upper end of the second pressing member 7 is not particularly limited, as long as it covers the range of the vertical positions of the ischial bones described above. However, if the upper end of the second pressing member 7 is positioned above 90 mm, further pressing effect cannot be expected and, conversely, the pressing force may be dispersed. Therefore, it is preferable to set the upper end of the second pressing member 7 to 90 mm above the junction of the back portion 4 and the crotch portion 3 (corresponding to the sum of the solid and dashed lines of h4 in FIG. 5B ). The shape of the second pressing member 7 in this embodiment is not particularly limited, as long as it covers at least a portion of the left and right ischial bones as described above. It can be, for example, circular, polygonal, elliptical, or the like. Here, by making the shape of the second pressing member 7 long in the horizontal direction, the area covering the ischial bones is increased, making it possible to compensate for differences in the position of the pubic bone due to individual differences between wearers. Also, in this embodiment, the second pressing member 7 is made up of a single member that covers an area including both the left and right ischial bones, but the second pressing member 7 can also be made up of multiple members. For example, the member covering the right ischium and the member covering the left ischium can be separate members, installed adjacent to each other or spaced apart. The area of the second pressure member 7 of the present invention can be designed appropriately depending on the stretchability of the material constituting the pressure member. However, applying low pressure over a wide area (surface) is preferable to applying high pressure over a narrow area (point), as this allows for compression while reducing the feeling of tightness when worn. For example, in the shorts of this embodiment, a better effect can be achieved by setting the area of the second pressure member at 30 to 60% of the total area of the back portion of the shorts body as 100%.
[0021] As shown in Figures 2(B) and 5, the third pressing member 8 of this embodiment consists of two pressing members (a left pressing member 8a and a right pressing member 8b) and is installed on the back side of the back portion 4 of the shorts body 1. The lower ends of the two pressing members 8a and 8b are both sewn near the center of the joint between the lower end of the back portion 4 and the back edge of the crotch portion 3. The two pressing members 8a and 8b have the same shape and are sewn to the back portion 4 in an overlapping manner up to a predetermined height h5 from their lower ends. Above the point at height h5 from the lower end, the left pressing member 8a slopes leftward and the right pressing member 8b slopes rightward, and the two pressing members 8a and 8b diverge at a point at height h2 from the lower end. The upper ends of the left pressing member 8a and the right pressing member 8b are sewn to the upper end of the back portion 4. The distance between the upper right end of the left pressing member 8a and the upper left end of the right pressing member 8b is d, and they are spaced apart. In this embodiment, d is 65 mm. As described above, the third pressing member 8 of this embodiment includes the left third pressing member 8a having a base portion extending vertically upward from its lower end to a predetermined height (h5) and a left inclined portion extending upward from the predetermined height (h5) and sloping toward the left side, and the right third pressing member 8b having a base portion extending vertically upward from its lower end to the predetermined height (h5) and a right inclined portion extending upward from the predetermined height (h5) and sloping toward the right side.
[0022] Typically, a wearer's tailbone is located in the range from the bottom of the third pressing member 8 to the junction of the left and right third pressing members 8a and 8b, i.e., from the bottom to a height h6. Therefore, if the third pressing member 8 is located in this range, it is possible to accurately apply pressure to the tailbone. Therefore, it is not necessary to install the third pressing member 8 over the entire vertical length of the shorts body 1, as in this embodiment. However, considering the need to accommodate variations in tailbone position among individual wearers and ease of manufacture, it is preferable that the third pressing member 8 be installed in the range from the bottom to the top of the shorts body 1. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the left and right members are spaced apart above the third pressing member 8. However, to achieve the effects of the present invention, the third pressing member 8 does not need to be separated into left and right sections; its base can also be configured to extend vertically to the top. However, to reduce the feeling of tightness in the waist area, it is preferable to have the third pressing member 8 separated into left and right sections above it, as in this embodiment.
[0023] Both the left and right third pressure members 8a, 8b are made of power net. The material of the third pressure members 8 is not limited to this, but it is preferable to use a highly stretchable material in order to effectively apply pressure to and stimulate the coccyx. The third pressure members 8 can be made of the same material as the first pressure member 6 and the second pressure member.
[0024] The area of the third pressure member 8 in this embodiment can be appropriately designed depending on the stretchability of the material constituting the pressure member. However, applying low pressure over a wide area (surface) is preferable to applying high pressure over a narrow area (point), as this reduces the feeling of tightness when worn while still providing compression. For example, in the shorts of this embodiment, a better effect can be achieved by setting the total area of the third pressure member to 15% to 25% of the total area of the back portion of the shorts body, assuming the total area of the back portion of the shorts body to 100%. The overlapping area of the left and right third pressure members 8a, 8b is preferably 5% to 15% of the total area of the back portion of the shorts body, assuming the total area of the back portion of the shorts body to 100%. Furthermore, in the shorts of this embodiment, the horizontal width of the base of the third pressure member 8 (the horizontal width at height h5) is preferably 10% to 35% of the maximum horizontal width of the back portion. Setting the horizontal width of the base within this range allows for more effective pressure on the coccyx. In this embodiment, the maximum width of the back surface in the horizontal direction is designed to be about 350 mm, and the width of the base in the horizontal direction is designed to be about 80 mm.
[0025] In this embodiment, as described above, by providing the first pressing member 6 on the front portion 2 of the shorts body 1 and providing the second pressing member 7 and the third pressing member 8 on the back portion 4, it is possible to effectively apply pressure to the wearer's pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx. This stimulation stretches and contracts the pelvic floor muscles, thereby effectively reducing urinary leakage.
[0026] 2. Second embodiment Fig. 6 is a diagram showing the front surface (outside) (A) and back surface (outside) (B) of shorts according to a second embodiment of the present invention. Fig. 7 is a diagram showing the back surface (skin side) (A) of the front surface and the back surface (skin side) (B) of the shorts of this embodiment. Below, the same configurations as in the first embodiment will be omitted, and only the different configurations will be described.
[0027] As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7 , the shorts body 10 of the second embodiment is seamless and thread-free, with components bonded together using adhesive. The shorts body 10 of this embodiment is made of stretch lace (Russell). As shown in FIG. 7A , a substantially T-shaped first pressure member 60 is also installed below the front portion of the shorts body 10 in the second embodiment. Similar to the first embodiment, the shape and size of the first pressure member 60 are designed to cover an area that includes at least a portion of the pubic bone, including the center of the pubic bone. In this embodiment, the first pressure member 60 is also attached with adhesive. A patch made of, for example, jersey fabric is attached to the back side of the crotch portion of the shorts body 10. In this embodiment, because overlapping of the bonded portions is not possible due to manufacturing constraints, the first pressure member 60 is installed with a predetermined gap (c1) between the lower end of the first pressure member 60 and the front edge of the crotch portion. In this embodiment, c1 is set to 2 mm. In addition, in the shorts body of this embodiment, the front and back sections are joined using an adhesive. Therefore, a predetermined distance (c2) is provided between the first pressing member 60 and the left and right ends of the first pressing member 60 and the joints (side joints) between the front and back sections. In this embodiment, c2 is set to 20 mm to 23 mm. As described above, due to manufacturing constraints, the first pressing member 60 is provided at a predetermined distance from the crotch or the joint between the front and back sections. However, the effects of the present invention can be achieved even in a configuration where the first pressing member 60 is disposed close to the crotch or the joint between the front and back sections without manufacturing constraints. In this specification, the term "adjacently disposed" also includes the above-described arrangement of the first pressing member 60 at a predetermined distance from a predetermined position.
[0028] As shown in FIG. 7B , in the second embodiment, a pressure member integrated with a second pressure member 70 and third pressure members 80a, 80b, and 80c is attached to the back portion by adhesive. Even with a configuration in which the first pressure member 60 is attached to the front portion of the shorts body 10 and a pressure member integrated with a second pressure member and a third pressure member is attached to the back portion by adhesive, as in this embodiment, pressure can be applied to the wearer's pubic bone, ischium, and coccyx. This stimulation stretches and contracts the pelvic floor muscles, effectively reducing urinary incontinence. Furthermore, a configuration using adhesive rather than stitching, as in this embodiment, reduces skin stress such as tingling and itching caused by seams.
[0029] The embodiments of the present invention will be described in more detail below with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
[0030] 1. Posture Improvement Effect A subject was photographed from the side while wearing conventional shorts without a pressure member or a patch and the shorts of the first embodiment. From each photograph, the angle (θ) between the horizontal plane (H) and the line passing through the ischial tuberosity, the upper edge of the greater trochanter, and the anterior superior iliac spine (Rother-Nelaton line) was measured. In correct (normal) posture, the angle θ is approximately 45°.
[0031] Figure 8 shows the silhouette (A) of a person wearing conventional shorts and the silhouette (B) of a person wearing shorts according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The angle θ was 33° when wearing the conventional shorts, whereas the angle significantly increased to 45° when wearing the shorts according to the first embodiment of the present invention. These results demonstrate that the shorts according to the present invention, which include the first, second, and third pressure members, significantly improve the wearer's posture. As described above, the second pressure member that presses against the ischial tuberosities prevents the pelvis from tipping backward and encourages the wearer to keep the pelvis in the correct position. Furthermore, the first pressure member that presses against the pubic bone encourages the wearer to exert force on the lower abdomen (transverse abdominis). Furthermore, the third pressure member that presses against the wearer's coccyx, together with the first pressure member, further stabilizes the pelvis by pressing the coccyx and pubic bone from the front and back. It is believed that these synergistic effects contribute to the excellent posture improvement effect described above.
[0032] 2. Stride Measurement The subject took 10 steps in a straight line from a predetermined position in a natural position. The distance from the heel strike of the third step to the heel strike of the ninth step was measured, and the distance per step was calculated as the stride. Similar measurements were performed while wearing conventional shorts and the shorts of the first embodiment. When wearing the shorts of the first embodiment, the stride length increased by 29% compared to when wearing the conventional shorts. This confirms that the configuration of the present invention provides an excellent stride length increase effect.
